I loved this hotel — a great boutique option in the 8th. I walked most places from there; the Marais is about a 20-minute walk and Galeries Lafayette is about 10 minutes away.

The hotel is incredibly thoughtful. I mentioned that I was visiting for my birthday, and when I arrived there were balloons, chocolates, a lovely card, and even a birthday message written on the mirror. I have never stayed anywhere that organized something like that. It was the best feeling to walk into.

The staff at the front desk were kind and very helpful throughout my stay. I only had breakfast a few mornings, but it was fresh and delightful. The breakfast staff were not quite as welcoming as the front desk team, but honestly it didn’t bother me — I was just happy to be there.

The hotel is nice and staff very friendly. The rooms however are tiny, and with large luggage, impossible to move in. Also it is not very conveniently located to the touristic areas. Either it’s over an hour walk (eg to the Eiffel Tower) so you either have to hop on a train or uber to your desired location.

Lovely luxury hotel in the midst of a local neighborhood in Paris. We are a family of four with younger children and splurged on two connecting rooms for the last couple of days in Paris (Suite Friends and Family). The beds were extremely comfortable and the personal touches were sweet with complimentary notes, cookies, reusable bags and a fresh flower. One room had a balcony that opened to a view to the street and was a gorgeous reminder of the beautiful architecture of Paris. The other room had a direct view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. We opted for the included breakfast and it was extensive and excellent. Definitely would recommend.

A few notes for consideration given it is a four star luxury hotel:
The Suite Friends and Family option we chose had two separate rooms with a small common landing area. It required keys to get into the landing area and keys to get into each individual room. While great for security reasons, it didn’t make much practical sense when you have children in one room and adults in the other so we had to ask for door stops so that we could easily get in and out of each others rooms. The doors are heavy so the door stops provided were not effective in the traditional way but we figured out how to make it work.
A/C in one room was noticeably less effective. It also had a large bathroom with tub, which was great, but only a half glass door with a gap at the bottom so a lot of water leaked onto the floor when taking a shower.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay . I marked the cleanliness at 4 stars because when we arrived there were hairs on the floor in the Bathroom sink area. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the cleanliness, the location close to a Metro stop, and the helpfulness of the staff.

The staff was kind, friendly, and gracious. Unfortunately the gym that hotel guests are granted access to is a 10 minute walk away, and was unattended both times I tried to exercise there. As such, I was unable to gain entry, which makes it difficult for those of us who enjoy our daily workouts. While this is not a fault of the hotel or its staff, it is something to keep in mind for those who value access to exercise ammenities

This was our 1st week in Paris and the staff at Maison Mere couldn’t have made us feel more welcome and comfortable. Our room was bright and clean, with a very comfortable bed and relaxing rainfall shower. Though in an urban area, it was so quiet at night that we could sleep with the windows open. Breakfast included an array of freshly made yummy food including eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast and the best pound cake I’ve ever had - among many other pastries. The breakfast staff were warm and took the time to learn our coffee preferences. The hotel is in the Montmartre district, a quick walk to the metro and close to must-see attractions like the Sacre-Coeur Basilica and Montmartre cemetery - with many cute shops and highly rated bakeries along the way. We highly recommend this hotel, it was an absolute dream!

Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. The location worked out very well for us with several Metro stops just minutes away. The hotel is quiet and the beds were quite comfortable. Great little hotel in a good area. The room was quite small and was noisy from the floor above which could be rectified for little money and thought. Noise covers on chairs so they don’t make a noise when moved. Door noise suppressors on the bathroom doors would also help.

We arrived early. They welcomed us with coffee or champagne ( I took the bubbly). They hadn’t yet finished tidying up the shower but they let us set our bags down in the room. As this was a”gift” for my wife’s birthday, & I mentioned it upon reserving the suite. The room was decorated with balloons and a bottle of wine.

The staff were extremely attentive to our every need. Super friendly and if you’re not comfortable in French, they seem to all speak English very well.

The location is near a couple train lines a very walkable with many great dining options (we ate at three superb restaurants within 500 yds).

Maison Mere is a really lovely boutique hotel a short walk from Gard du Nord, and a longer but very pleasant walk from the sights of central Paris. It is set close to a very nice small square with bars and restaurant and its in-house restaurant, Nectar, is superb. Staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and modern, and our small family had a wonderful stay. We plan to return and to use this as our regular Paris pied a terre.

I could live there!!

From my early arrival when they graciously stored my luggage, to check out, Maison-Mere gives a lesson in guest service like I have never seen. From Vincent to D'halia to the service staff, you are treated with grace. The hotel is spotless yet cozy, and near some great neighborhood restaurants & patisseries. The bed was perfect; no noise, the only thing wrong is I'm not there!!

Really appreciated a coffee in the salon as we were checking in! Great rainfall shower, good room with good pillows. Not the #1 area in Paris I’d recommend staying (more 11th, Marais), but good enough. Restaurant was nice, but tried a bit too hard towards fine dining while lacking the full flavour profile to stick the landing. Definitely too many “surprise” courses.

The staff was outstanding and went above and beyond to host our family and make us feel welcome. They accommodated an early check-in because of our early flight arrival which was gracious and unexpected.

The breakfast was delicious and provided lots of options. This hotel is a fantastic but it is the staff that pushes this into a higher tier. The intentional details left in our room were personalized (welcome card, flowers and little cookies). I cannot wait to revisit. 10 out of 10. Special recognition to Elise’s and Yosef. Both were soo lovely and helpful.

Really wonderful experience staying at the Maison Mere. The welcome and little touches were brilliant. Who wouldn’t want to be offered a glass of champagne on arrival?! We were celebrating a birthday and there were balloons in the room. The hotel and room were extremely clean, modern but with a homely touch. We even took photos to try and replicate some of the details in our own bedroom at home. We asked for restaurant recommendations and we sample one of them which was the best meal of the trip! The staff were really helpful and lovely. We will certainly return on our next trip to Paris.

The breakfast was delicious every day and offered a range of options - I recommend the hot chocolates, they were delicious. The room was small which is expected in France but the room was still very nice, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Good location for transport around Paris

Absolutely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’m a solo female traveler so I was really wanting a safe neighborhood and hotel to stay. This hotel went above and beyond in not only staff friendliness and helpfulness (I hurt my back and needed to call some chiropractors in the area and the front desk offered to help translate), but in their attention to detail (every day they would leave a little note and little gift on my bed). Absolutely would stay again. The neighborhood was about a 20 minute walk to the Louvre, was right next to the entrance to an underground train, and very very close to Montmatre. The boutique vibe of the hotel was perfect and a great way to feel like you were having a very parisian experience, while still in a safe and quiet (but boulangerie and restaurant filled) environment.

Excellent hotel

Nicely styled room, mine was very quiet. (No view really, as the window was toward the wall of the next building.) Safe could store a laptop. Coffee capsule machine included. Only downside is that I did not fully understand how to turn down the air conditioner, so the room was unnecessary chilly compared to what I needed. Hence my reduced number of sustainability stars. I would definitely stay again.

About as cozy as you could reasonably expect any hotel on the planet to be. Very accomodating, highly recommend
