Nous avons séjourné à l’hôtel Touring et nous n’avons que de bons mots. Vous n’y retrouverez pas le luxe des grands hôtels, mais c’est largement compensé par la courtoisie et la gentillesse du personnel. On prend réellement soin de nous en tant que touristes : l’approche est personnelle et s’y sent particulièrement bien. Et que dire du déjeuner ! Grande variété de produits, bon, beau et pas cher comparé aux menus des restaurants. Si vous désirez vivre l’expérience Paris loin des grands hôtels au service impersonnel, l’hôtel Touring est une option intéressante.

Superb budget hotel right in the heart of Paris. We walked to Opera, to Montmartre. Surrounded by lovely classic bars and restaurants, beautiful passageways of quirky shops. Metro station 2 mins away.

The room was clean, with a spacious bathroom (full bath) all the staff really friendly, breakfast very good and varied.

Highly recommended.

This is a great value hotel in the 9th close to 2 metro stops and the Gare du Nord( 20 min walk). The rooms are very clean and the front desk is staffed 24 hrs. We found front desk staff to be most helpful. Plus guests have access to a small ground floor kitchen with fridge and microwave - very handy. There is a grocery store 100 yds from the hotel. This is a lovely non touristy part of Paris. I will be back.

The breakfast menu was very good, but no breakfast was available on the Saturday. The air conditioning was not working, but as it was October, the room was a comfortable temperature.
Had I not given instructions to the contrary, the staff would have changed my towels every day, which would have been totally unnecessary and bad for the environment.
I would have appreciated having notices to hang on the door to indicate whether I wished my room to be cleaned or preferred not to be disturbed.

It's a humble hotel, an old building that could do with some updating. Stayed in a single room and it was quiet and warm. Could be better cleaned, and bedding needs updating. Very simple, no bathtub in the bathroom or mini fridge. Don't expect any luxury, just a very basic accommodation. Friendly staff and good location though

Il n’était pas possible d’obtenir un simple café ! Il n’y avait pas de cafetière dans la chambre et il n’y avait également rien dans le lodge, contrairement à n’importe quel petit Ibis qui y a ce qu’il faut pour se faire un café, un thé ou une tisane. Sans parler de l’arrogance de l’employé qui n’était pas ouvert à l’idée que je me serve un café dans leur buffet déjeuner dont je ne voulais pas puisqu’il ne contenait majoritairement que des aliments sucrés et que je ne consomme pas de sucre.
Décoration défraîchie qui manque de couleur et de chaleur.
Le Starbucks à deux coins de rue me sauva la mise…..

Clean, safe, and convenient place to stay! Very close to Metro and bus stations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was bigger than other rooms of same type in Paris, which was a nice surprise. It was a bit tricky to figure out the heating in the room and there is not much soundproofing, but these were not big issues. Would recommend staying here!

Staff make you leave your one room key with them when they leave. There is no “Do not disturb” sign provided and staff kept knocking at 9am despite requesting they do not do so. The room smelled musty. There were renovations taking place and loud construction began every day early in the morning. The staircase was always occupied with what looked like laundry bags. This was a bit rough.

The room was not cleaned! Stains on the bedding, hair and pubic hair ALL over the floor and bathroom. The extra roll of toilet paper had poop splatter on it. Everything was dusty, stains on the walls and baseboards, even the towels had stains on them. We asked the guy at the front desk if we could be moved to another room and he seemed disgruntled that I was asking. He said he'd have someone clean the room while we were out for the day and when we got back that night, nothing had been done. I ended up having to use one of the towels to clean up the floor and areas where all the hair was. I took several pictures and the white towel after wiping down the floor was black and completely covered in hair. It was disgusting and one of the worst hotels I've stayed in.

They had a breakfast area downstairs, which was only open 2 of the 4 days we were there. On our last day checking out, we went down there to see what was being served, pretty much all bread items with some juice. The guy running the breakfast area knew I just checked out and he handed me a plastic baggy and said I could take some items to go. There wasn't a price listed anywhere and he made it seem clear that breakfast was included with the stay. I paid nearly $200 a night for a room that wasn't worth $40.

After going back upstairs to leave, the front desk guy tried to stop me and said I owed them $15. I had 1 mini size muffin in my baggy. So I gave it back to them and walked out.

Complete joke, dont stay here.

Friendly welcome, clean room, two good, large beds which were very comfortable. Large shower.

Ground floor room - noisy at times and dark. Had to keep curtains closed as opened on to small courtyard and view from main reception corridor.
No breakfast available despite being on website. Building work, refurbishment happening, so furniture piled behind curtains in reception area and bags of cement etc.
No tea, coffee or bottled water available.

Quite, convenient and lovely.

This was the perfect little hotel.Not fancy but the a/c worked great and it was clean! On a nice and quiet side street. Everything we needed was a block away, the metro and bus, a grocery, buolangerie and many cafes. The desk staff was very friendly and spoke great English. In addition we had a breakfast option at the hotel but we did not take advantage of it. We would definitely stay again.

Charming hotel, good value for money

This charming hotel has an older/historic feel to it, but everything is in good condition and working. I stayed there for a business trip, but if I needed to travel to Paris for a holiday with my wife I could consider this one as an inexpensive option.

Our stay was terrible. Our room was dirty. There were hairs in our beds towels and pillows when we arrived. There was trashing the trash can in the bathroom and stains on the mattress as well as the curtains. We were told our room would be cleaned after we complained. They took out the trash but merely turned the pillows over as if we wouldn’t notice they were still dirty. There were also multiple spiders in the room. There were no additional rooms available. They brought us additional sheets so we could change them ourselves. The sheets they gave us had blood stains i b them it was disgusting. If we were able to find another hotel in Paris we would have left but nothing was available. We felt so dirty being i the room we could not sleep. We should be refunded our money. This place was gross and i would never recommend it to anyone.

OK - this hotel is not fancy but clean and the AC worked well. its just north of opera and near bars and restaurants. The street is private and if you need parking there are some garages nearby; we were able to find free street parking. Hotel a little dated, but good value for budget conscious travel in Paris.

First of all, the place may or may not be under construction. There are holes in the wall where electrical work was done and not sealed. There is a room to the side of a sitting area filled with drop clothes and paint. The advertised courtyard has 2 tiny bistro tables and chairs with chipping paint. You can barely note you are outside. There is one elevator which fits only 2 people, and is filthy. The entire property needs to be updated. I seriously doubt that it meets any type of safety standards.
The place offers absolutely nothing. We had to ask for tissues and toilet paper. They don't provide soap for handwashing. There are no refrigerators or safes in the room. I requested an iron and ironing board and was told I had to go to the lobby to use . Their idea of cleaning the room is emptying the trash can and replacing your bath towels.on our 4th day, they asked if they could skip cleaning since it was our last full day.
We honestly tried to find another place but nothing was available nearby.
The area had a lot of restaurants and cafes which was nice, but you will find that all over Paris, in much nicer locations. No I would not recommend this to a friend or an enemy !

Great location - 5 minutes by bus to Gare du Nord (for RER to CDG) or 5 min. by Metro to Galeries Lafayette (beautiful shopping centre) and Opera Garnier (or an interesting 15 min. walk).
Very friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms. Lovely historic details in intimate foyer and lounge areas. Excellent breakfast. Stayed here 12 years ago and am very glad I returned. (My one small negative is that some carpet needs replacing.)

Was there for 3 nights, what you typically expect for a Parisian Hotel, a bit small but did the job and had the basic amenities (No Fridge).

Staff was extremely friendly and nice. Location is near a couple groceries stores and a lot of great restaurants. There’s a kitchen downstairs as well. Only odd thing was the key situation and returning it to the front desk if you ever leave.

Likes: The staff were friendly and courteous. The location was pretty convenient, within walking distance of the metro.
Dislikes: It’s not just that the hotel is old, it’s that there were hardly any amenities, save for a small common kitchen that smelled bad, and that we were placed in an accessible room without being asked, so the shower had no curtains/enclosure and the whole floor got wet whenever anyone took a shower. The TV was broken, and when I asked about it I was told there wasn’t a solution.

Don't normally post reviews but felt obligated as I booked this hotel solely on the reviews as expedia rated as an Excellent ,
To begin with the location is terrible, I think there is a school or something in front of this so the entire street is gated.. To get to this place the Uber / taxi will drop you at the end of street & u have to walk with luggage et al & wait in an open street.. We had a 9.00 am flight & had to leave the premise at 5.00 am.. to our bad luck it started drizzling in the freezing cold for 8 mts for uber..
Next this place is a joke looks & feels like a backpackers joint with soiled carpets common kitchen where stuff is not clean & fill your own drinking water from the taps. Was longing for a hot cup of coffee again the machines are just for display none operational & very dirty.. This is an old place with a pathetic attempt to renovate.. All u see clearly is a coat of paint on the shabby doors / walls, no electronic room card entry just a key attached to a brick.. I can go on fortunately we were there for 1 night.. stayed in a boutique hotel a week earlier before our cruise from marseilles that was so much better..
hoping the mgmnt improves conditions or at least can respond if I said anything untrue,..
one thing i must mention if there is a silver lining is that the night clerk Antoine ( Anthony ) was very helpful & a real pleasant personality that made our stay somewhat bearable..
Never ever go by false reviews just book a holiday Inn /Ibis or simila

My room was small, but had the required facilities and it was quiet. Price taken into consideration, it is a good hotel I would look for next time I go to Paris for a short stay.

The staff were all lovely and polite. Helpful when asked a question. The WIFI details were not in the room and I had to ask at reception who then gave me a little tiny piece of paper with the details.
I was on the 5th floor and was not told the floor was not quite horizontal but at a slant (old building): when I got up the next day I thought I was going to loose my balance.
The bathroom was basic but ok.
The hotel was perfectly positionned for me, only 20mns walk from Gare du Nord and from a metro station (Cadet). Breakfast was nice with a good selection of cold food. Coffee was definitely drinkable. But no breakfast served on Saturday nor Sunday which was inconvenient but found nice cafes nearby.

Very handy for getting to the Olympics venues

We stayed here for two nights when at the Paris Olympics. The room is pretty basic but it has aircon for which we were very grateful.
The lobby and reception areas are bright and were being redecorated while we were there. But the upstairs level and rooms were a bit tired and could do with the same level of tlc. We were hardly in the hotel as we were out at our sessions so it didn’t really matter.
The area was very well-connected with transport and had plenty eating choices within walking distance.

The elevator was very small which made it very hard to get suitcases up to our room. The staircases were very steep, so we couldn’t take our suitcases up the stairs. This made using the elevator very inconvenient. There were also no cleaners coming to our room, so once we came back to our room in the evening, we found that our room was the same as we left it in the morning. The location of this hotel is very inconvenient to cars. If you are taking an Uber, your Uber cannot drop you off right in front of the hotel because the street is blocked off from cars, so your Uber has to drop us off a street away. This can be inconvenient if you have suitcases with you. I have also found that the hotel is near a weird street. Occasionally in the night, I would hear some people talking very loudly which is very unfortunate especially if you are trying to get some sleep. Otherwise I did find the hotel staff to be very kind and welcome us which I thought was lovely.

Great location, old but charming.

It’s nice little hotel in a very good area. Close to local amenities and not far from popular attractions.
Staff were extremely friendly and the bathroom was spotless.

However, it’s a very old building and I am guessing their carpets as just as old so don’t forget to pack slippers.
The lift is also very tiny so keep that in mind if you plan to stay there.

Cold room - noisy stay

The room is a decent size for central Paris and great location very near Cadet metro and all the shops and restaurants.
However - we did not sleep well at all. The heating was not working and the room was very cold as bad weather that week - cold and raining. I rang reception to ask about the heating and was abruptly told ‘C’est pas functionne’ no apology. I was told I could collect extra blankets from reception.
Then in the early hours of the morning we were woken twice by very loud guests who had accessed the internal courtyard smoking area in the ground floor - our bedroom overlooked this courtyard.
Really cold room and other guests should not be able to access this courtyard after 11pm.

Good location near Montmartre. Room was small but adequate. Bathroom good clean and modern. I got very hot in the bed as I think the mattresses had a lot of man made fibres in them but I guess this is standard. Bed was otherwise comfortable.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but there was a kitchen downstairs to use, including a microwave.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was overpriced and there was no decaf coffee and the chocolate tasted a bit stale. €15 pp was not worth it.

I realised the day after I arrived that I did not need a 4th night but they would not refund me this.

Overall good value apart from breakfast.

When we arrived, the lady on reception was so helpful. Gave us a map and and spent a decent amount of time showing us how to get around Paris. Other staff were also helpful during our stay. The room was a decent size and relatively comfortable. We could use the guest kitchen to make tea and coffee and heat food in the microwave.

Worst hotel experience

I booked a single room during my solo trip to Paris. The room had no soap, just three vials of shampoo. The bed had hair on it from others and was extremely hard. Also, every time you want to leave you have to give them your key. I came back after midnight one night and had to wait on the street to be let in. Also, everyone then knows exactly which room you are in and when you are there, including other guests checking that hear you say your room number and name.

Comfy, clean, quiet room. Nice comfortable bed. It's an older hotel but well maintained. Close to several metro stations, 15-20 min walk to the Opera Garnier and a lot of theatres. Nice reception staff. I have booked it again for my next trip to Paris.

It's just okay

Let's start with the positives: the location is great, walking distance from some main places and metro stations.
Not so great: a bit dated and rundown, and the cleanness of the room especially the carpet wasn't good. Old and small shower towels.

This cute little hotel is surrounded by so many restaurants, transportation and so close to Galleries of Lafayette! Walkable and convenient. If rooms could get updated window curtains (run down) and amenities like bar soap, and shampoo, this would be a 5. Beds are comfortable but one pillow had a stain. So, its the little things that could make this a great hotel.

Not deserving of the 8.4 rating

We chose the hotel because of the rating. Sadly, the hotel offered the minimum, towels were too worn out, basic bathroom necessities were missing, WiFi too weak, no kettle, no appropriate lightening in corridors in case of an emergency, pillows uncomfortable etc.
We have been customers of hotels.com for years but we are now using hotels.com less because we can no longer trust the rating. We had stayed in many hotels in the same neighbourhood of the hotel Touring in the past with lower rating but better experience.

Good location, not far from metro and major attractions. Room was small. There was hair on bed and towels. Not very clean. Bed sheets had blood stains and marks. They felt clean. Stains were off putting. Concierge was friendly and helpful.

Our stay was fabulous, location was near the train station, easy to find, walking distance to Sacre Coeur a BIG PLUS. Francis the lobby clerk was very helpful and entertaining.

Negative: every night there are noisy people in front of the Hotel, other than that Highly Recommended.

Good hotel and great location

It takes a bit of planning to get there from the airport. We took a train and connected to a bus . It's a relly good hub to the main attractions for metro access. The area itself is safe and has lots of restaurants and bars. We were on the top floor facing the courtyard and noise was not a problem.

The staff at the hotel were polite and easy to work with.

My only complaints are that the towels weren't soft at all, the toiletries are inadequate, and the hotel charges extra for the in room safe.
