A great location with easy walk from Gare du Nord, close to some lovely restaurants and places for a wine/cheese.
The rooms with a view of Tour Eiffel were a nice touch and enjoyable to sit on the balcony with a beer to take in the sights.
Small touches like a fridge in the room that was stocked with some soft drinks was an added bonus, as was the snack bar downstairs.
Would definitely recommend for others and gladly return to this or one of the hotels in the same group if they offer similar experience.

Location was good easy train stop 1 block from the hotel to navigate the city. Small rooms.clean. We paid for the breakfast which was satisfactory and great way to start the day before touring. Last minute planning and overall satisfied.

Pros:
Friendly staff that speaks English well. There are snacks available in the lobby area until late at night. The room had a small fridge with drinks that are free to enjoy. There are restaurants nearby within a short walk. Ubers will pick you up right outside and are cheaper than cabs. You are also fairly close to the metro and train station. There was a small elevator for those who didn't want to lug their suitcases up their narrow stairway. Be prepared for small rooms but adequate if just staying overnight for 2 people.

Cons:
Super loud street noise even though we were told the windows were soundproof. It was chilly outside because we stayed in December, but the room was very hot. The staff was accommodating and said they would turn off the heat to the room. They have air conditioning but it was shut off for the season. If you can't sleep when it's too warm (in winter) and didn't like a lot of street noise and sirens, this isn't the place for you but we were only there overnight.

A great location for Monmartre and Sacre Coeur. Near metro. Plenty of restaurant and bar options around. The free snacks and soft drinks from 2pm -2am were great.
Unfortunately the air conditioning was set to heat and not able to be changed in the rooms.

A Friendly and Comfortable Place to Stay in Paris

This is a great place to stay in Paris. We have stayed here twice. The location is convenient - 7 min walk to a Metro station, 30 min walk to the Louvre, etc. It is a nice neighborhood being a little removed from the hectic center of town, but with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. The rooms are very small but quiet and comfortable (the AC works great!). The breakfast was nice and worth the additional cost. They offer free snacks and coffee in the late afternoon and evening - a nice touch. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and will come back for sure.

A safe choice

We has a pleasant two night stay at Hôtel Palm - Astotel in March. It had all the standard touches you can expect from an Astotel: A good breakfast, the minibar in the room with free soft drinks, tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks provided free of charge at the reception after 2pm in the afternoon.

The room was a good size for Paris, but suffered from lack of storage space. We had room 201 which was great for us as it faced the inner yard. In any case Rue De Maubeuge is not a very busy street so traffic noise should not be a problem in any of the rooms.

The only little complaint was that the courtesy tray in the room with tea, coffee and milk was not replenished for the second night. However, we decided not to complain as we could get tea and coffee downstairs in the common area.

We would happily stay at Hôtel Palm - Astotel again.

Wonderful small hotel with an amazing breakfast buffet and 2pm snacks in the lobby. The rooms have a fridge stocked with water, orange juice and soda, all complimentary. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, which is normal for Europe. Highly recommend!

Quaint hotel - perfect location for short stay

After a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord we arrived at this quaint hotel. The man at the front desk was extremely friendly, informative, kind, spoke good English and offered help any time we wished it.

The room (standard double) was small but quaint and served our purpose adequately for our short stay. We could open the windows to get fresh air, see the street below and “feel” that we were in Paris. We had tea and coffee, a mini fridge with items for free inside, space to put our bag on the floor and also a wardrobe. A full length mirror was on the wall and the bathroom was also small but functional for us. Shower had good pressure. The bed was comfy enough for one night.

Only one downside - the early morning clean up trucks on the street was loud and woke us up with a start. Again, for one night it’s okay to deal with.

Good location must come back again

Good location, walking distance to all nearby metro. I stayed 4 nights with a room can see eiffle tower from my room balcony. The only thing is the pillow is too soft to sleep. Breakfast is good, mini bar has so many varieties. We can access to all Astotel group hotel to have minibar during our stay, it’s so impressive.

We stayed at the Hotel Palm from July 12-20. Everything was absolutely top notch. The other reviews are legit - but the absolute best part of the Palm is the staff! They all went waaaay above and beyond ie., helping us track down lost luggage (they spent hours on the phone/internet for us), lending us money late at night when a taxi's credit card machine did not work and we had no cash, even packing us a breakfast for our early flight home. When was the last time you actually hugged the hotel staff when you left?! We did (and were not the only ones) - we were made to feel like family and are already missing Olivier and his colleagues. Cannot wait to return and will never stay anywhere else in Paris!!! Merci beaucoup!

Unless it’s a really great deal there’s better…

Out of three hotels we’ve stayed at in Paris so far this trip this was our least favourite. The staff are amazing, it’s nice to have snacks but free mini bar does not mean alcohol although it was nice to have free soft drinks, juice and water as much as you’d like. The area is just ok although located close to transit. The bed was hard as a board. The hotel’s exterior is being worked on which we were not made aware at any point in the booking process so 8ish am or so till 5pm blinds closed and noise. The pictures of the two bedroom family room were deceiving and it ended up being nothing more than a shared private hallway with two separate doors to two rooms. If the maid had her closet open you were trapped and you could not exit the room. The breakfast was hot & cold choices but the bacon was always severely undercooked. The coffee machine makes hot chocolate too so every coffee ended up tasting like it had chocolate in it. As I said the only thing I really appreciated was the kindness of the staff. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless there was a significant savings. We wished we had stayed longer at a close by property Maison Mere.

Very good hotel with lots of character in the public areas with exposed stone walls. Very nice breakfast and free snacks and drinks in reception area. Able to enjoy free snacks at numerous other Astotel hotels in Paris (free map of Paris provided marking location of all hotels)
15 -20 mins walk from Gare du Nord (links to CDG Airport).
20 mins walk to the Louvre. 2 Metro stations within 5 mins walk.

This is a fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable - we slept very soundlyThe breakfast is good. The soft drink mini bar was fabulous and the free coffee, tea, cakes and snacks every afternoon were a really lovely touch. We very much appreciated all the little extra touches that this hotel provide, making it stand out against other hotels. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Wonderful hotel in central Paris

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel and felt very comfortable with the hotel staff and our room.

This hotel is located in central Paris, only a 15-20 minute walk from the gare du nord and a 5 minute walk from the subway station Cadet which is on line 7.

The room was nice and neat with good natural lighting and enough space to place luggage and move around.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in central Paris close to a lot of popular areas/landmarks.

Rooms very small. Shower flooded bathroom floor first night there. Elevator very small, and slow. Only fit 2 people at a time. Had to back into elevator with backpack on could not turn around with myself and wife in the elevator. Last day there ants were crawling on our table during breakfast.

Room is very small. The bathroom floods every time you use it and the towels were so thin you cannot even soak up the water. If you need a hotel close to Gare du Nord for one night, then ok.

We, a retired couple, stayed at this hotel for 4 nights to visit Paris. It's located about five minutes on foot from the Cadet Metro, which is on Line 1 that comes 2 stops from Gare de l'Est, swings by the Opera and Madeleine before running along the Seine to the Louvre, the Marais and then across to the Left Bank. The big shopping stores on Haussmann are about 15 minutes walk away., while Montmartre was a bit further on foot in the opposite direction. The neighbourhood is fine; not a lot of great places to eat, but adequate brasseries. The hotel itself has a pleasant lobby and breakfast room and amiable staff. Our room was big enough to accommodate both suitcases, one of them on a stand, and have some floor space left over. The bed was more a large double than a queen, but was comfortable. The AC worked well and the bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast was good with a selection that included a range of items from eggs, bacon/ham, cheeses, cold meats, yogurt, breads and croissants and a choice of juices, coffee and tea. Water and a selection of soft drinks were free in the room minibar and in the lobby, where some snacks were also available. We were eligible to access the same lobby services at their related hotels in the city but never had the opportunity to do so. A good, clean, reliable choice with pleasant service.

Hotel is OK on the small side.Staff and breakfast were good .... but here's the issue .. day of arrival temp 25C and hotel AC is not yet turned on for the summer season .... thus we have to open the window .... extremely noisy! Try sleeping on the street ... not acceptable. To bad the hotel was falsely advertised with AC! All twin rooms are on street front. Other Astotel hotels are better.

The rooms are small and lack a closet but it was in a great location, walking distance to many restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, and the metro. The staff was great, very polite and helpful. There is free coffee and snacks from noon to 2am. They have a nice breakfast for 10 Euros - though you may want to get out and explore near by cafes for something fresh and more Parisian.

Solid stay. Paris hotels are known for being tiny and this place also fits right into the stereotype. Styling seems rather \"Ikea.\" Would have been nice to have an electric outlet in the bathroom other than a \"shaver\" only or a full size mirror in the bedroom where the more powerful hair dryer was found. Mini bar drinks (non alcoholic) are included; which is awesome! The breakfast was average. I would probably skip the included breakfast and use one of the many local pastry shops nearby instead.

Great Hotel - Highly Recommended

This hotel served us perfectly for our annual trip to Paris. The lcoation is great, 10 minutes from Gare du Nord and a number of metro stations nearby. Easy walking to Sacre Couer, Montmarte, Opera etc. The hotel is very clean and everyone who works there is lovely. The breakfast was great for the price - lots of juices, coffees, breads, jams, some hot dishes etc - just what you need before heading out for the day. The open bar and minibar are a great touch to refresh you after long days out and about. The room was clean and simple with a lovely balcony with view of the Eiffel Tower. Having a bath tub was bonus. We will definitely return, if not to this hotel, then to another in the chain in Paris

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The room itself was very clean and looked newly refurbished. The breakfast was good as well.

Only sight negative was the room size which was a bit on the smaller side but no complaints as the price was very reasonable as well.

Lobby was great too with free refreshments available throughout.

Hotel was clean and comfortable with a great location close to all major sights! The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Each day would give us tips directions on how to get where we wanted to go. Hotel offers complimentary snacks and beverages (water, juice, tea and coffee) in the lobby everyday from 12pm-2am which was very much appreciated after a long day of sightseeing!!! We had a great view from the 4th floor windows in room 404. Will definitely stay here again!

This hotel was fine, straightforward and appropriate for the price. I wouldn't have expected more or less. The bedding was dirty both days which was super disconcerting but the location was great. Ultimately Paris is so special you will likely spend little time there so it suits fine.

The minibar at the lobby and inside the room is free. It's awesome! The room is also clean and tidy! What's more,it's just 5 minutes' walk from the Cadet metro station!

A very pretty and friendly hotel

I'm in two minds about this hotel. To start with the positives, the reception was very welcoming and friendly, the hotel pretty and charming, the location very handy and the overall impression very good. We even got a room with the view of the ET which I was really grateful for and enjoyed a lot, even in the winter. It added a lot to my first time in Paris, and the romantic weekend with my bf. Unfortunately, two things I have to mention- there was a pump near buy that would work really loud and wake me up several times at night, even though I sleep with earplugs in. I also got quite badly bitten by, I presume, bedbugs, as I can't think what else it could have been in February and at night in a hotel. The bites are still in the process of healing after a week. I'm allergic, so it was very unpleasant for me, my bf got a bite or two too. Other than that, it would say the hotel was lovely and good value for money. The free snack bar was so handy and the service we received warm and professional.

Wonderful hotel. Wonderful staff. Best stay ever!

Wonderful hotel . Clean and beautiful. Staff is amazing! Felt so welcome! They went out of their way for us! Quiet room and confrontable beds! Close to mentor . Felt safe in area... Very nice. I will always stay here when visiting Paris.

Great hotel in a fantastic neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Aside from an incorrect charge for breakfast that was not ours, that was corrected, we had a fantastic time.

good location!

Very good location for the tourist site,,subway and bus stop near by. Only we were bothered by door slaming from neighbor rooms in the middle of night. We wished to have some storage for clothes not hanging on the wall and watching it all the time.

Classy & modern - good vibe!

This hotel was in a very convenient for us being a short walk from Gare de Nord, the EuroStar Rail station as well as well as Gare St Lazare from where we caught a train to Rouen. As well as that it is situated right next to the vibrant Montmarte district as well as the top shopping area of bd Haussman etc. Hotel staff were always helpful and polite. Really appreciated the endless supply of good coffee & other drinks AND biscuits, croissants, cakes and fruit - available in the foyer/ lounge area. Great to relax there and refuel after a busy day!

a well located little find

We had stayed all week renting a 3 bedroom apartment in Paris, then noticed we booked one nite too short. Found this just as a place to stay but it was much more. No big restaurant nor health club, but within walking distance between Galeries Lafayette and Sacre Coeur, both of which we visited. Rooms not huge but looking brand new and impeccably clean, very comfortable beds with great linen. Nice touch-from noon to 2 am coffee, tea, light pastries etc

Loved that we had a view of the Effel Tower

The Hotel was lovely and made our stay in Paris an amazing experience. The Hotel was comfortable and well located to everything, particularly good restaurants and bars. The staff were helpful and the sitting lounge was great at the end of a busy day

Pretty good

Fantastic place, first day the girl on the reception called Roxanne was very helpful and provided us directions to most things we asked for.

Thereafter for the last few days there, she was not there and the other girls on the reception were not exactly friendly and tended to spend most of the time outside \"smoking\". This might be acceptable in france but found it to be un professional

nice hotel convenient to public transportation

The 2 beds room is small but clean and comfortable. No coffee maker in room is a minus. You have to go out to get a cup of coffee in the morning. Overall it is In a convenient location.

Traditional European room with a great view

If you are a traveler expecting all the room of a modern American hotel, then keep looking. However, if you content with stay in a traditional sized European hotel room with an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower then this is the perfect hotel for you. We booked this hotel for our honeymoon following some advice from friends who had just stayed there. We were not disappointed. They recommended for us to request a room with a balcony on the top floor to get the best view. It was incredible.

Really good!

We stayed for 3 nights, the Hotel is clean with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed on the 3rd floor facing the road though the noise wasn't intrusive. The room wasn't the biggest but it was perfectly comfortable, No balcony but opening the window and looking out I could get a view of the Eiffel Tower.
Cadet Metro station is 5 minutes walk, Sacre Coeur is around a 10 minute walk and Gare du Nord is little more than a 10 minute walk away.
Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby as well
Definitely would stay here again if I go back to Paris
