Lovely stay at the hotel. Our room was clean, and while on the small side, it had all we needed - I particularly liked the provision of both shampoo and conditioner in the shower.

The staff were personable, and the breakfast was varied, delicious and kept us going until mid-afternoon!

However, what makes this place so great is its location. Only 15 mins from Gare du Nord and close to many metro stops, this is a perfect city hotel.

Will definitely be returning.

I stayed at that hotel many times and their previous ownership. It was really good. These guys have no idea what they’re doing. They didn’t even know how to check us in when they got two rooms. Coffee machines in the rooms have been removed!! And the one in the dining room was broken and has not been repaired for three days. We still had to pay for every coffee we ordered.
The staff was also very unfriendly about it.

Property is centrally located. Easy walk to LaFayette Galleries, nearby restaurants, and grocery stores. Only issue was our room did not have proper air conditioning and took two days before it started to actually get cool. Had to ask the property for a fan. Staff members are excellent and very accommodating. Would recommend.

Great location and clean hotel!

We loved our stay here in Paris! We booked the deluxe room and had a king bed, and it was perfect for 2 people. Hotel also provides water, coffee, and tea in their restaurant, so you can grab and go before you head out for the day. And the location can't be beat, you are within walking distance to a lot of big attractions or a metro station.

Excellent staff, good breakfast and good rooms. However my only qualm is that the rooms are on the smaller side with the toilet being in a separate room from the bathroom/shower. Excellent A/C too, no artificial temperature controls if you like it cold. Please remember rooms do not have mini fridges, but staff will happily put items in the kitchen refrigerator. Staff were exceedingly polite and helpful, also kindly accommodated me when I asked for an early check-in.

The Property is in a wonderful location when you walk towards it it appear as if it’s a small tiny place but once you open the door and you walk inside, the ambience is awesome. The person at the front desk was very receptive and welcomed us. We had a king size bedroom, and there was one side area for an additional person to sleep. The rooms are very nice. The shower area was very nicely lit and the shower itself was very nice. The water was in great force which my kids like the most the toilet area was pretty tiny and unfortunately did not have the vents in the toilet which we did not like.. this was the only thing that was not appreciated rest everything else was awesome at the hotel. I would highly recommend this for any travelers.

Rooms are extremely small even tho we booked deluxe, no room to open suite case. No fridge, toilet is in a separate room and sink is in another room with a shower. Shower was blockage but got fixed after. Rooms look very old and nothing wow about them. Terrace was blah as there no view other than garage and nothing to look at. Very bad vibes overall made me not even like Paris.

I stayed at this hotel on my first and last days in Paris and it was a wonderfully convenient location to begin and end my journey. I loved exploring rue Lafayette. So many options for food and shopping. my first day was in a single room with a single bed, which was quite cozy and easy for maneuvering. it was on the top floor and required climbing one flight of stairs.The second stay was a single room with easy access and a double bed, which took up more space. You choose.😊 beds were comfortable, and staff was very kind and helpful.

I loved this small hotel. I had a single room on the sixth floor that was tiny, but cozy. Note that it was on the sixth floor and as the elevator only goes to the fifth, a climb up one flight of stairs is necessary. The bedding was luxurious as were all the soaps and creams. The staff was friendly and helpful and I am excited to return at the end of my trip.

Had to walk round bed to wash hands after using toilet as no sink near toilet, shower was not actual shower, hairdryer only worked if held casing together, kettle had to be put on floor to be able to use as cord too short, heating wasn’t adaptable, coffee in room was poor, was accused of lying by male receptionist over which teabags were available. Not a 4 star hotel!

The Grand Hotel Lafayette is tucked in a little street right off Lafayette. The area is bustling with pedestrians and a never ending selection of eating options, yet is very quiet. Rooms are small but had all the amenities we needed; bath products including bath robes etc. and was very clean. Staff were very helpful and cafe off the lobby was available for breakfast but we went to one of the many nearby cafes for the full Paris experience. Would recommend as a well priced option in an excellent location.

This hotel is listed as a four-star. By Canadian/North American standards it would never have greater than a three-star status. Parts of the room were in disrepair (chips in the toilet bowl and seat, large dings in the walls). The air conditioning system did not work very well but to their credit, a staff member came to fix it and set it to our comfort.

The location of the hotel is well-situated, just off the busy streets and close to two different subway lines. Be aware that you can hear the subway until around midnight and when it starts again around five in the morning.

Staff was absolutely lovely. Very welcoming and engaging and quick to do what is needed without unnecessary time wasting. The hotel is in a fantastic location - if you enjoy walking, it’s the best place to start from for an all around the city exploration: 12’ away from Gallerie Lafayette, 30’ away from the Jardin de Tuileries, 35’ way from Monmartre. A Thai restaurant is literally next door - amazing food and service. Supermarket & boulangerie also around the corner. Would be ideal if the room had a fridge. Recommended 100%.

As a returning guest I was slightly disappointed with the level of service we received. Overall the stay was quite good but with a leaking air conditioner and a room change on our final night to a less comfortable lodging it felt like more of an inconvenience for them rather than us.

Location is in a quiet neighbourhood which is great when trying to escape the city at night and walking distance to many Metro stations giving access to the whole city.

It was a nice hotel, very clean. I had a larger room with a very large terrace which I enjoyed. (Note that it was not a street view and instead it was a courtyard overlooked by neighbouring units). The room had good air conditioning. Shower was very large and worked well. Unfortunately, the majority of the front door staff that I encountered were stiff, rude and unfriendly to be honest, only one younger female ( I wish I knew her name) was wonderfully helpful and kind - a big thank you to her, she really was helpful.
Neighborhood had lots of restaurants to choose from. 20 min walk to Sacre Couer, or Louvre.
15 min to Gare du Norde. Very easy to get around.

Excellent stay at the Grand Hotel Lafayette. Great service from the hotel staff, and the hotel situated right in the arr.9. Perfect location and base for sights and getting around Paris. My only issue which is a small one, was next time I will upgrade to the larger 18sq mt room. I booked the 14sq mt room for our 3 day stay, which was just a tiny bit smaller.

Lots of places to eat around the hotel and lots of attractions within 20-30 mins walking distance. Several metro stations within 4-8 mins walk to make getting around Paris easy.

Overall, I could not have picked a better place for my stay in Paris. I have been to Paris many times, mostly staying further outside the city center. The location of this hotel is beyond convenient. Almost all of the transportation on the trip was done by walking. Although we didn't use it much, there were plenty of metro stations nearby as well.

We stayed in a balcony room which was all I wanted it to be and more. The balcony had up some greenery to provide privacy, and also included a table and two chairs. Very spacious and we spent a lot of time out there.

Housekeeping also came each day and provided new towels and sheets as well. I appreciate this touch as not all hotels will do this.

Anything that we needed assistance with during our stay, the staff was readily available. I will more than likely stay here again on my next stay.

Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The room was a bit small, but considering this is Paris we're talking about it was satisfactory. The bed and room were very comfortable, and allowed me to recover after days of heavy walking. I didn't bother figuring out the busses, but there is a bus stop fairly close to the hotel. The Gare Nord major train station is a walkable km or so away, but that might be a bit annoying if you have a lot of luggage. The hotel does offer an airport shuttle for a reasonable charge. Lots of great food around the area, and you're close enough to a lot of the major Paris tourist attractions that you can walk and enjoy yourself.

I booked this hotel to be near to MOULIN ROUGE. I was able to walk to the show. But I was disappointed with the hotel and my room. Typically I’m very good at gauging hotel overview and design by looking at photos and cross referencing photos from multiple websites and sources. This time, I felt extremely underwhelmed with my expectation based on the hotel photos.

I selected the property because of its proximity to transit and other locations we’d visit during our stay. It hit each expectation of those things perfectly. Property was clean, great authentic local food nearby and even a grocery store. Staff was nice and greeted us each time we entered no matter time of day.

My only complaint would be room configuration. This was our 2nd visit to Paris and we knew space was a must this time around. We opted to upgrade to the Deluxe Double at 280sq ft. We received one I think but its layout made the space still very cramped and useless.

Unhappy with that after paying $100 more per night felt like it was wasted.

Nice hotel and the location is excellent. The location is a mix of residential and tourist, lots of restaurants near by and the metro.
Its a15 min walk to Sacre Coeur and 15 mins to the garda Nord.
The rooms with the terrace are excellent, however it would be nice to have better outside furniture. The terrace is large.

However, I felt that housekeeping could do better with cleaning the shower. Other than that, I loved everything. I’ll definitely stay there again.

Upon arrival I was charged for the room even though I had paid Expedia 2 months prior. I paid the city tax but didn’t realize till after that I was charged also for 5 nights stay. The following day I told them the error and was told the person at reception had made a mistake. When refunded it was at a lower exchange rate so I still had overpaid. I am waiting for the difference but had to give bank details so they can deposit the difference which I am uncomfortable with.
Also there were numerous tiny black spiders on the tiles under sink and I found a few in my bed. I told reception and they cleaned it and put some product. I didn’t do their breakfast. I would have liked to know that I could still partake of free coffee and tea in the lobby breakfast area 24 hours a day. Communication extremely poor. Location excellent and many good restaurants within easy short walking distance.
