The position of the hotel was perfect for our stay. We were close by the metro, top class restaurants and bars as well as being within easy reach to visit the grave of Jim Morrison . The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly consider rebooking should I wish to return for another visit

Towels were dirty, room was dirty, smell of sewer coming out of bathroom. Worst hotel we have ever been in. We paid for breakfast but did not stay. We were planning on staying for three nights, but left first thing in the morning. Terrible. Do not stay here.

This is a terrible stay. They first gave us someone else's room, which didn't bring us much confidence in our things being secured, as we unlocked someone else's room, thinking it was ours, due to the front desk giving us the wrong keys. The room was extremely small and there was a pipe burst in the lobby that caused us not having no water whatsoever our last day there and the lobby being a construction zone. The staff did not tell us ahead of time, they simply posted a piece of paper in the elevator the day off. In terms of the elevator, this is probably the smallest elevator in all of Paris. If you have to share this elevator with someone that you don't know, it would be borderline assault. I would not recommend this stay. The housekeeping was kind and attentive. This is the only positive. The towels were stained though.

Great hotel in an excellent location.

This a great little hotel situated perfectly to explore Paris.

The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed with large very comfortable beds. The en-suite is compact although the shower is super powerful.

The breakfast looked generous, we sampled local bakeries so didn’t get the chance to try it. The hotel also have a lift which is helpful.

The neighbourhood is perfect, very safe with lots of local eateries, arcades and great cafes to hang out at.

Hotels.com got me a room upgrade and free breakfast in this hotel. The upgraded room has more space but the door is rusted and hard to open. The toilette paper was only a half full roll and the hotel did not provide an extra roll in the restroom. Also, when i leave my bags and luggage at the front desk, the staff drop my backpack that has my laptop and a bottle of wine inside, very careless.

Besides these, everything else was pretty good.

Reviews were good and location was close to main tourist sites so we made our choice to stay here.
Overall we were very pleased.
Clean, tidy and very nice staff.
Room was quite small, towels and sheets had slight tears. Very little storage space in room and bathroom.
Other than that, a nice place to base our stay to explore Paris. We walked miles each day, didn’t need public transport to get to most places.
Very nice part of the city, with loads and loads of bars, cafes, restaurants.

Really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Maison Axel Opera. Paris hotel rooms are compact..our friends room in neighbouring hotel was even smaller! But bright decor, room overlooking courtyard meant it was quieter, standard of cleanliness and really plentiful and enjoyable buffet breakfast plus friendly staff at breakfast and on reception - shout out to Ahmed who was always helpful - made our stay just right for exploring Paris.

The whole stay was spoilt because, we could have a shower due to the hot water being cold for the whole of our stay. This was reported every day.
There was a lorry delivering every morning between 5-30 and 6-30, so if you are at the front of the hotel it could be a problem.

Nice hotel within 15 minutes by foot to the Opera. Quiet street and friendly people. The rooms are a little small and the elevator holds about 2 people and a bag or two. Lots of small shops and restaurants nearby and they have a good arrangement with a local garage for parking. Second year we've stayed 3 nights at the hotel.

on the whole, the hotel was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great and easy for us to get around. Lots of dining options in the neighborhood, and a pharmacy and grocery were also in easy walking distance. Rooms were modernized too. There was a coffee station to get a quick cup of coffee and tea if needed, with madeleines (nice touch).

Things that could be improved upon:
Elevator - very tiny, Can fit 2 people, or 1 person and a suitcase but that's it. While we had no problems doing 3 flights of steps, others may who aren't as fit.

Bathroom - on the whole was great and newly renovated, but a bit more counter space would be great so items don't always fall off.

other than those 2 things, everything else was super. We were there as for the Paris Marathon, and as we may come back in 2 years, we would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Booked at the last minute when a departing flight was delayes. ~Recently and effectively renovated Professional, client-centric service. Clean, dust-free rooms and mould-free bathrooms (a seemingly rare occurance in France). Updated decor (pretty wallpaper!). Crisp, clean sheets and bedding. Comfortable pillows. Surprisingly spacious for Paris. Only stayed one night after a departing flight was delayed, and was delightfully surprised to find some fun tourist attractions in the area, e.g., English comedian providing a primer on how to be a Parisian, the Bouillon Chantier dining experience (happy to have done it, but still don't understand why it's a thing...). And only a ~15-min walk to Gare du Nord with its direct train to CDG. A great airport hotel!

This hotel is absolutely perfect. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcome. I was always greeted with a smile. When I had a craving for fondue, Sophie even called a restaurant to make a reservation for me.

The room is very nice and the bed was super comfortable. There was even a table and chair. I could walk everywhere I wanted to go in about 20 minutes. I did take a taxi back to the train station as I bought too much.

A huge thanks to Sakur, Laetitia, Sophie, and Solange! You made my visit to Paris special. I'm looking forward to coming back.

Great location!

Great location! Near a subway line to city attractions but the line you take to the airport was about a 20 min walk away. The room was great. We stayed in the triple because it was one of the few rooms I could find at any hotel that actually had two completely separate beds. It was clean and the bathroom was larger than expected. The pictures are very accurate to what the room and hotel look like in real life. The staff were very nice and attentive, and there's lot of free bottled water. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. I would stay here again!

The staff was amazing!! I went to Paris by myself to attend my friend's wedding. I needed help getting ready. Laeticia helped me zip up my dress and did my hair! She was on break when she did this. She was so helpful and did an incredible job!! Sophie greeted me outside as I was lost when I first arrived. She was very helpful and gave me directions on where to go every morning. Shakir was also amazing and helped me with a international adapter, a wine key, ice, water...and great service. All around a great experience. We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Axel Opera. The standard room is fairly large by Parisian standards. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was nice and cold during a summer heatwave! We had a really early flight and the front desk was very helpful in booking us a taxi for 4:30 in the morning. The neighborhood is really busy and bumping but that means there’s some great food options and stuff to do nearby. Book with confidence!

A very conveniently located boutique hotel that has plenty around it (shops, dining options and a 1 min walk to Grand Boulevard station)!

I appreciated the complimentary room upgrade and can confirm that the rooms look to be newly renovated and are decorated in a charming way.

As with most hotels in Paris, the room was on the smaller side but it was adequate for two people with a medium suitcase each. There is also a lift but it is very small (I.e. It fits 3 people max, but realistically, only fits 1 person their suitcase at a time), no mini fridge and also no toiletries provided beyond one refillable bottle installed in the bathroom that is a multi-purpose shower gel and shampoo/conditioner in one.

During my two day stay here, the fire alarm also went off twice. Once was during the morning at around 8am which was fine because I was awake but the other time was 2.30am which woke me up (and presumably all other occupants) and was very disruptive in the middle of the night.

Despite this, this hotel was still an overall better stay than the other two hotels I stayed in while in Paris (in terms of staff professionalism, safety and security, location and condition of room) and I would book with them again.

Our room, facing the courtyard, was super-quiet and very clean. The hotel staff is friendly and resourceful. Special thanks to Marie, who oversees the breakfast service. She is especially helpful and charming, much appreciated early in the morning!. Also outstanding is Laetitia in the front desk. We did have some challenges during our stay: the elevator was out of service for about 12 hours. Fortunately the repairs were completed very quickly by the time predicted. IN addition, the door to our room was difficult to open.All in all an excellent experience. This is our second time staying at Maison Axel and we expect to return next time we're back in Paris.

The hotel was nice and in a great area but we had a very odd experience on check in. We called ahead to request a baby bed (for our 2y/o) to be placed in the room but they said it wouldn’t fit. We asked again when we arrived but they again said it wouldn’t fit, and they wouldn’t give us an extra duvet for the floor instead. When we entered the room it was clearly big enough to fit a baby bed. My husband went down to reception and asked for the bed to be told it wouldn’t fit / it wouldn’t fit in the lift (it would) / they weren’t allowed. It was bizarre, we stay regularly in hotels and have never experienced this before.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, the staff do not acknowledge when you put a 'Do no disturb' sign on your door. They entered my room every day of my trip whilst the sign was up and I was in the room. It made me feel very uncomfortable knowing they would walk in at any time.

The best thing was the location - lots of restaurants nearby, not far from Gare du Nord or Montmarte, a longer walk to the Eiffel Tower but lots of sights to see along the way. Small room but very comfy bed, en suite came with shampoo/shower gel but no hand soap, luckily we had brought a bar of soap with us. Staff were lovely :)

The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood walking distance to Opera; 2 min to Metro that gets you to Major sight seeing in 5-10 minutes. Many major sights like Sacré Cœur and Marais are 15 min walking distance. Located in a wonderful place with local authentic parisien cafe n restaurant where you see local people & can be outside till very late without worrying about Metro etc to come back to hotel.
Very clean all over the hotel; nice comfy beds & excellent air conditioning. Yes the rooms are small but not for Europe room size standard .
Staff : very nice always Ava friendly n helpful .
50 min by direct shuttle from CDG aéroport . Make sure you know which train to get to the hotel. Walking can be confusing if you don’t have gps( again map of Paris is different).
You’ll see from families to young people ( night Life in neighborhood) to elderly. Definitely recommend:)

I would definitely recommend this hotel. I will say right off the top, the rooms are very small, but the location more than made up for it. We were walking distance to almost everything and there were tons of Bistros and restaurants in the area. At night it was lively without being too loud and we ended up being able to eat and relax in the neighborhood at night and not worry about having to catch a cab (which were scarce at times). Lots of local French people were in the cafes there too, not just tourists, which was added to the experience.

The hotel rooms were clean. The floors in the room were wood (or laminate) and not carpet which made it feel cleaner. The beds and linens seemed new and were very comfy. The AC worked well. We were on floor 2 and 4 and had no view, but it was pretty quiet at night which was a plus. The elevator is really tiny, one person with one suitcase, so if you stay on a high floor be aware. We chose to walk the stairs.

Finally, the staff at the front desk were friendly and extremely helpful. This was good value for money in a fun part of town.

Was a bit disappointed with my stay. For the most part I felt outside of the lady that checked me in the front staff was pretty unfriendly. The room its self was ok but cleaning in general wasnt great. I had other peoples hair on my towels and when they would come clean my room during the day they would just make the bed over my stuff on the bed and would be lost in the sheets. Also in terms of cleaning they didnt empty the garbage once while I was there. Also I would pass on the breakfast. Was pretty underwhelming. Ran out of most stuff each day.

朝食はホットミール、パン、フルーツ等豊富までは行かないが満足
スタッフは皆対応が良く問題なし。
部屋は清潔、掃除もしっかりしてもらえたし問題なし
ただ、お風呂のシャワーが問題
温度が安定せず水圧が微妙
空調も後半おかしくなったがなんとか持ち堪えました

パリ市内から近く、寝るだけで予約したのでそこだけを考えると満足。
立地、地下鉄からの距離、空港バスからの距離、周辺の飲食店
JCBのカードデスクでおすすめを頂いたので十分な環境でした
