As with many places we've stayed, location is the best feature of this hotel. If you're used to walking, it's less than 10 minutes to many attractions. Otherwise, a 2 minute walk to Metro or less than one minute to a city bus. The rooms clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, the bed comfortable. Actually fairly quiet for being in the city. As for restaurants, there aren't a lot close, but I highly recommend Hugo. Just around the corner.

We initially had a few issues at the beginning, such as the air conditioning was not working, the toilet broke during our stay and could not be fixed until the following day, which was an inconvenience. We slept two nights without air conditioning, which was very uncomfortable since we had to open the windows and there was a lot of noise.
Once the issues were all dealt with, it was better.
Just to note, it was only after we left a message for the manager that we were going to leave, the issues were resolved.
Since our first two nights of our stay were less than uncomfortable, is it possible to be refunded at minimum one night stay

The Serotel Suite is a lovely place; modern, safe and with friendly staff.

This appartment style hotel is perfect for longer stay, or to travel with the whole family.

There was a couple things not working properly in the room; lightning under the cabinet, shower drain not draining properly... all of which have been reported, but couldn't not be fixed during our stay.

We would definitively consider staying there again on our future travels to Paris :-)

Good set up with separate sleeping areas for 3 people .Property very clean. Worktop damaged in apartment the only flaw. Very clean and daily cleaning excellent. Friendly staff. Arrived late and self check in was difficult until we realised the code provided was for the unlit lower screen not the obvious one above that was lit.Enjoyed our stay.

We've had lovely stay even just for 1 night. The hotel was fantastic, cozy and clean. The sraff were lovely and welcoming.The amenities of the apartment including kitchen were top notch. It's very convenient location, very close to Metro and it's only 10 min to Gare du Nord station. Will definitely stay again.

We really liked the size and layout of the room, but the water heater is small and with that it was hard to get three showers in. Some people may have issue with a few older or broken things, but we realize stuff gets worn out. Comfort is what is important. Also, on the listing it said there were a clothes washer available but there was only a laundromat around the corner, which we were not up for using.

Kitchenette with little fridge was very useful, a grocery store conveniently located right beside hotel, a metro stop steps away, a great pizzeria across the street. Reception staff very friendly and accommodating. Expect some noise from the street if your room has windows facing the street.

Great hotel with awesome staff. The folks at the front desk were so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities you need. Overall, a great place to stay with lots of grocery stores, shops, and restaurants near by / walking distance. Also close to metro. Would definitely stay here again. Again, great staff!

The only bright side were Madja and Niro. The other staff members I encountered were neither helpful nor accommodating. One staff did not or pretended not to speak English to avoid resolving an issue. Cleaning lady was good until the last day when she forgot her yellow gloves for cleaning the bathroom and was placed on top of my wife's hand carry bag. Disgusting.

Conveniently located for tourist

I was visiting with two young children from America. The hotel was well-maintained, and the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the convenient location. There was a mini supermarket next door and many good restaurants along the street. It was very close to two subway stops; if you follow the street, there is a mall. I also enjoyed having a living area because the kids and I were not always in each other's space.

Brilliant location in really vibrant area - lots of cafes, bakeries, little bars. Really friendly reception staff. Plenty of space in our suite and mostly clean though carpet grubby in kitchen and the whole place smelled of smoke and/or air freshener. Suite very comfortable - great beds and sofa bed. Parts of it quite tired, such as the kitchen worktop and cabinet door edging which are cracked, warped and falling off. Description of premium suite on website slightly misleading - it says bedroom opens up on to interior courtyard. Ours didn’t as it was on the fourth floor, I think they meant it overlooked it. Grocery shop next door is handy but run by a very grumpy man who likes to shout at his customers and staff. Altogether we had a great time and enjoyed our stay but disappointed the suite wasn’t in better condition.

Dreadful from the minute I arrived. The room did not have any of the facilities advertised. The room felt as if it was in a store cupboard with piles of crates of empty bottles outside the door. Every time someone else in the property used water it ran down the pipes so loud I thought there was a leak with water gushing into the room. The room was in the ground floor overlooking the small courtyard so anyone out there you could hear talking. You couldn’t open the window or all their smoke would come into the room. Despite numerous emails from myself and Expedia the property has refused to engage with although whilst I was promised a refund for my complaint. Do NOT book here you will be disappointed

Hidden gem
This hotel is located off touristy path and perfect to mingle with locals. Plenty of trendy restaurants and coffee shops around the area to explore! If you feel like cooking, plenty of grocery stores to fill up on supplies to cook something in hotel room mini kitchen. We did both!

After full day of exploring Paris,
it was nice to sink on soft comfy beds with nice pillows for good night sleep.

Take note, a hotel in Paris at a great price!
We stayed with family for the weekend and honestly we are so glad we found this place. We felt special from start to finish.
We had 2 separate clean and beautiful rooms and a mini kitchen, everything we needed was there in the room. The receptionist was very nice, friendly, helpful and helped us find our way, so we went for a walk around Paris. The metro is 2 minutes from the hotel, which is very convenient to get anywhere in the city. After our evening walking, we fell into the deepest sleep, on the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! In the morning we had breakfast in our room, fresh croissants, yogurt, French baguette, and much more, oh my God, how delicious...
The next day we asked if the luggage could be left until the evening and the administrator kindly provided us with this service for free, it was very nice of him.
Overall we had a good weekend in Paris!!! and we will definitely return there and recommend this hotel in the center of Paris to everyone!

This room can sleep up to 4 persons. The bedroom can be two twins, or a full. The living room is a hide a bed sofa and it was very comfortable. This space has a great mini kitchen and directly downstairs is a convenience grocery market. You will find bakery's at each corner and fast food nearby. I did not eat at the hotel. Here is what I can tell you about the sleeping here. The bedroom's headboard rests up against the wall, directly behind you is the elevator so at night you have the vibrations and the noise of the elevator. It wasn't terrible, however, so you are aware its the only elevator used by guests. The hide a bed in the living room is very comfortable, downfall is you are next to the street windows. Earplugs are needed because you will hear everything. Showering has to be semi quick. The hotel staff told us we have to wait 30 minutes between showers to have hot water. Four of stayed here so we would turn off the water during lather and turn on; basically semi quick showers. It worked out in the end, its not a big deal but definitely don't take long showers. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to Gare du Nord and you have the metro a few feet away. We all thought it was a convenient spot and I have stayed in this area before. I would stay here again because of the location and the mini kitchen. Front staff were cordial, at other times not so much HOWEVER this is France and we are Amercians so I understand. I do recommend this hotel.

If you have only carry-on size luggage, it's very walkable from Gare du Nord. We arrived in the morning and they let us leave our bags until we were ready to check in after dinner. It's a very small hotel but clean and modern. We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette that was fully equipped with china and utensils, pots and pans, a small dishwasher, a refrigerator, a microwave, a small IH cooktop, an electric kettle, and a Nespresso machine. We didn't cook but the microwave and refrigerator were really helpful for our family stay.

There's a Franprix right next to the hotel and a very good boulangerie just a block away that's open early even on Sundays. At least two of the buildings along the street had scaffolding so it's hard to say what kind of neighborhood it was, but it felt normal (not the fanciest but certainly not dangerous).

The Poissonnière metro station (line 7) is less than a minute away. It won't get you to Gare du Nord but it's a good starting point for most tourist attractions. The hotel is also only about a 20-minute walk from Montmartre. It's uphill going there but coming back is all downhill.

The owners were very friendly, helpful, and flexible. It was a little pricey but so are most other hotel rooms that can sleep a family. It was money well spent for a very nice stay. We'd happily choose this hotel again the next time we visit Paris.

Would not recommend!

We arrived at midnight the first night, then stayed another night before leaving Paris. A family of 4 with 2 children.

Pros: descent price and size of a suite suitable for young family, 1 double bed + 1 double sofa bed.
Has a kitchenette; dishwasher too.
Separate toilet.
Nice staff.

Cons: ran out of hot shower after about 15 mins usage for both nights. So if you have a family of 4 like us, do the math. Good luck!
Coffee machine in the room was dirty, used coffee capsule wasnt thrown away.
Dirty water left inside the hot water pot.
Brought out the problems to the staff, but nothing was done or could be done i guess although they were very nice about it.

nearby didn’t connect to Gare du Nord making for a 1 km walk each way. Not fun in the rain

Overall a good place to stay. Very spacious room compared to most in Paris. Front desk staff wasn't overly friendly. A little far out in the 9th but very close to the subway which was surprisingly easy to navigate. Also about a 8 minute walk to the Gare Du Nord Train station so it was easy to get to from the Airport.

Stayed at the Serotel Suites with two friends. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Gard du Nord and the local area is great for bars and restaurants. The suites are quite big for Paris and are reasonably appointed. Overall good accommodation in a great location.

We liked this place despite some problems. Suites are nice, big enough if you get some furniture out of the way, with a small kitchen and table to sit at, you can lean out the windows and watch Paris night life, the beds and linens were nice, the staff were very helpful and human. Breakfast was fine, good baguettes and coffee and croissants and meats. Small common spaces. A nice outdoor patio was always wet, I think they hose it down so often that you never want to go out there it is always wet out there. We had some difficulties that probably sound bad but the staff would correct each one immediately -- the problem was that they kept happening: the air conditioning would go off and they would go turn it on again. The sink and shower would back up and a very nice man would come and fix them. There was a faint smell of mold coming from the drains. They never did get the phone working.
But really, the place was nice, clean, well designed modern, and the people were kind and normal. And the space was just right for three of us, my wife and myself in one room, our daughter in the other. We would choose it again. The staff are the greatest asset of the place, that and the design of the rooms and comfort of it. We liked the location too, near the metro.

Initially we felt that everything was smooth at check in. The manager was very friendly. However, what did not sit well with us is the fact that he asked for our home address, email, and birthdate. This may be standard procedure but he said he needed it just in case we left something behind. When we decided that we didn't want to let them hold on to our info, the night manager acted very suspiciously and refused to give the paperwork back. He said it was required by law. If that is the case shouldn't we know that before we arrive? Expedia said it was voluntary for us to provide when we spoke the next day after leaving the same night we checked in. We received two phishing emails the next day. We have not had any phishing attempts on our email address before this. Even though we did not stay, the manager did not refund us any part of our stay of 4 days. I cannot recommend the Seritol Suites for this reason. I can say the Marriott recognized our dilemma and allowed us to stay in their suite (much bigger than Seritol) for the same cost without an advanced reservation. Much better experience with the Marriott.

Excellent service, especially Alberto. Always very accommodating and went out of his way to assist us. The entire staff was great. Excellent location, just 10 minutes from the Louvre by train. Highly recommend this hotel. Stayed in the Exec Suite. The pull out sofa in the living room was excellent for our teenage daughter.

We stayed for 3 nights in late August and booked one of the premium suites. Rates were excellent and on a par with family rooms at other hotels but included a kitchenette area. Overall the suite was a great size for our family with 2 young children. Very new, clean and modern. Lovely kitchen area with Nespresso machine, plenty of crockery, cutlery. Good shower. Couldn't have asked for more in room quality really. Everything seemed new and hardly used which is nice in a hotel!

Location is fantastic if you arrive by Eurostar. 7-8 mins walk from Gare du Nord station. Easy to do even with luggage and kids. A metro station is at the end of the road and if you want to eat near the hotel there are options close by. There's even a park with kids playground across the main road, a good supermarket next door and a fantastic bakery (Le Grenier) up the road which is a must try! Great location that should allow you to get to all the usual Paris sights easily.

Breakfast is limited (no hot food, instant coffee only) but the pastries and breads are good quality and it's enough to start the day. To save a little money, don't book breakfast as it is so easy to purchase your own food and have it in room, however the sites we looked at included it for free anyway.

Staff were helpful and friendly and all in all a very impressive, very well run hotel. Wish I could go back!

Modern executive suite, metro-accessible, ok price

We were a family of four with two teenage kids. We found Serotel great for its comfort, size and amenities relative to its price. The staff is super-friendly and accommodating. It was great for coming back after long days of walking around Paris tourist spots and unwinding. The living room is fairly big, contrary to the impression we had from the reviews. The hotel is accessible by metro within a short distance from the station. The neighborhood itself is a congested part of town, not exactly a place you would go for a stroll. But it does have all kinds of shops and bars nearby.

Excellent Paris Experience

Excellent hotel in every way----steps away from a Metro line and bus stops. The staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful. Multi-lingual, speaking great English. A wonderful bargain considering the typical small European hotels. This suite accommodates four comfortably and includes a full kitchen. We opted for the include daily breakfast and it was well worth it! Fresh, delicious selections daily. This hotel is a real gem in a wonderful city.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Serotel Suites. Our room was just what we expected it was clean and stocked with necessary supplies...the only downside was the refrigerator was not working. Also no fault of the hotel but when I went down to breakfast a guest was touching the breads and putting them back what made it worse this was an adult not
a child..Dont expect too much for breakfast boiled eggs, cold cuts,toast,croissant,rolls,pastries..juice, coffee,cereal all in all passable. Thanks to the staff they were very accommodating they allowed us to check in early and check out a little later. Thank very much.

Cozy hotel in the heart of paris

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very near the metro station , main terminal at guar du nord. Best Indian restaurants with delicious food is just a short walk away, especially for Asians who love the hot spicy curry. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly . I would definitely recommend this gem of an abode to everyone. Had a great stay in Paris .

Nice and simple hotel

The layout of the suite was good. The kitchenette was a nice. I was disappointed that the hotel does not have a proper business centre. The laptop was not connected to a printer. Overall the hotel was ok.

I had the bad luck of booking this hotel at a time when there was heavy construction/road work in front of the hotel. This meant 8 hours of jack hammer and heavy machinery noise each of the 4 days I was there

Great hotel in a perfect location

Great hotel for business travellers, or anyone really, who needs a bit more room and flexibility. I stayed here for two weeks while working in the local area. To be able to make your own coffee or to buy something from one of the many local foodshops and reheat it in the kitchen area, made my stay work for me.

The staff were all friendly, and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. The location was perfect for me being a short walk from both Gare du Nord and where I was working, but I think it would also work well as a base for exploring the city as there are plenty of great dining and entertainment opportunities within a short walk of the hotel and although the main attractions are a bit further away that also means you avoid the worst of the tourist crowds.

Excellent hotel close to Metro 7 at Poissonniere

We are from the states and stayed several nights at this wonderful boutique hotel. Both the manager Ms.Bouhassane and her staff are wonderful. Ms. Bouhassane is very courteous, kind, and thoughtful. She greeted us every morning when we heading out. Her smile is authentic and real (unlike all the hotel stuff in the states, you had to pay special attention so to capture those fleeting faked moment), she makes us feel that we are welcomed and she really cares. We came in around noon before the hotel check in time, Mr. Nero accommodated us into a suite, it was high ceiling, we love it! The hotel is super clean (most important factor/criteria) and with air-conditions in both rooms. It is very close to the metro 7 station at Poissanniere. There is a marche franphix literally next door, and a bakery less than .1 mile down the road. Le bouillon chartier is not far (be surprised by the low quality food there plus rushed service). Take metro 7, then metro 4, then RER to CDG. The hotel will arrange you a fee shuttle service to airport if you give them 24hr advance notice. Highly recommended!!!

Quiet and well located

Beautiful, clean, and great location! The room was a good size for our family of 4 (2adults, 2 teens) and was on a great street with markets, restaurants, & close to the train. My only complaint was the concierge was having a very loud conversation in the hallway at 3am which woke us up. Otherwise, would stay here again!

Good Location!

A 2-min walk to the nearest metro, 15-min stroll to Galeries Lafayette, a supermarket conveniently located next door, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Paris city yet away from the crowd and noise. Good room size for a family of 4-5. Minutes away from yummy Asian eateries too!
