Check-in process was painless and the staff was very friendly. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the linens were cozy. We enjoyed having the large balcony as well. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety, even vegan options. The location was great, there is a nice park nextdoor and property is close to tram stop, providing quick access to Altstadt and Hauptbahnhof in a matter of minutes. It was a great value and an enjoyable stay, would recommend!

Good service and comfortable rooms. Only drawback is that parking is located quite a walk away. Also surprised that the room came with a balcony facing a park. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy it as it was freezing outside and the wind was howling, but I can imagine it being a pleasant touch in warmer months.

Staff was actually very kind. However, as far as room service, which was limited, as we were told they would exchange our towels/sheets day three, didn’t happen. When we requested at least fresh towels, the staff seemed far from pleased to provide this service. The rooms are adequate, nothing special. Th bartenders were great as well as the breakfast staff. The hotel is Bear public transport and the staff was great calling for a taxi. Overall, a pretty good stay.

Great place! Close and convenient! Only about 30 minutes from Munich. Nice balcony and wonderful breakfast! We were able to see Augsburg soccer game, Augsburg Panther game ( hockey), and the NENA concert! The hotel was right next door to the concert!! The front desk staff was excellent; they left me know were the closest laundromat was when I asked! Superb!

From the front desk and beyond into this hotel is 4 stars. Its their parking that is horrendous, we had to walk over a quarter mile to park. They send me an email around one week before I'm reserved to be there, informing me that there is issues with having on-site parking. I arrive to see their parking garage is in ruins and probably has been for years, completely unusable. Had they offered this information upfront, rather than waiting, I'd be giving them 5 stars right now.

This was a nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff and a comfortable room. I was expecting a bit more from the view on the 10th floor and overall I don’t feel I got my money’s worth. The room, I believe, was overpriced but it was acceptable. The thing that put me off, was the car park - it was cold, damp, dirty, doesn’t have a warm connection to the hotel and it costs €18 per day.

Hotel staff was lovely. We were so grateful that after a 23 hour travel time we were able to check right into our room when we arrived at noon. Hotel was VERY quiet and we slept like the dead. Nice blackout curtains. Our bed was extra firm, which made us wake up sore. But the hotel was charming. Every room has a balcony. Its just not situated within walking distance to much. There is a nice park next door. Parking is 18 euro, but there is lots of free street parking if you are willing to walk a block or two. Staff was nice and helpful.

Love this property with two exceptions. The biggest problem is the fact that the Air Conditioning is definitely not to American standards. All it seemed to do was act as a fan. It wasn't too hot while we were there so we just left our balcony door open to sleep. There are only two pillows that are Very flat so if you want a good pillow you either need to bring it or buy one.

.Location was important First night there was no hot water in the pipes or shower. Next morning, no hot water. Third morning discovered if you ran the pipes for about 15 minutes the water may become tepid. Didn't really want to take a cold shower in winter as not a member of the polar bear club.

Stayed here a few times for work in Augsburg and it's always fine. The beds could be more comfortable and the rooms need firmer pillows as even sleeping with 2 stacked on top of each other I was still basically just sleeping on the bed itself. Nice breakfast and super convenient location so I will stay here again.

Hotel parking garage Is in major disrepair with an entire level barricaded. Parking is disconnected from the hotel and every time you want to leave you have to get a pass from the front desk. The staff was friendly but the parking fees the breakfast fees in the room service is outrageously overpriced. My room has a window that was not functioning and closing completely apparently allowing beetles to nest in the heater. When I attempted to turn the heat on the room filled with beetles. I was told there’s no available rooms and they would attempt to vacuum them from my room and vacuum more each day of my stay. They could not re-locate me. They offered me a free breakfast the next day has a consultation. It sounds cheap until you see there meal prices. I requested a refund they said it was not possible and if it was not for Expedia intervening I would have not received a refund and I would’ve been stuck either in a room with insects falling on me from the ceiling or sleeping in my car. I lived in Germany before and these prices are not typical and cleanliness in Bavaria is normally a staple be very cautious when booking in this hotel and make sure you use a third-party so you have leverage on their management. I ended up with a hotel that was 20 km further away but because it was on the highway I got to my destination each day quicker than being in this hotel located in the city.

I understand this is the way many hotels are dealing with their offers. However I find these things quite annoying. Room was very cheap, but then when you get there you find a receptionist suggesting you should pay for the parking and for the breakfast, which were not included. 20€ for the parking and 18€ for the parking.

Arrived at hotel with confirmed reservation of several weeks but I was informed that unfortunately they had over sold and there were no more rooms available. Hotel staff didn’t give any interest that I had flown for over 20hrs and just offered to help get a room in a hotel which was outside Augsburg, not even in city.
During my time there 2 different guests arrived and both were assigned rooms at that moment. When asked the night mgr why others arriving after did get a room, he couldn’t provide a clear and straight forward answer.
Those are the facts. Very dissapointing and a level of service that certainly does not support the rating star they have.

Impressive hotel with upscale feel
The hotel was very classy, with most rooms (if not all) having their own balcony. It you are able to stay in the higher floors, the view is amazing and relaxing. The room I got was very large as it fit two twin beds, side-by-side.
The staff really helpful in figuring out what are the things to do around the area. Always willing to provide advice on where to go and what to eat.
Location isn't as convenient, as its a 30min walk to the main downtown Augsburg (old town). However, once in the downtown, everything is really close to each other, from food, shopping, tourist museums, and transportation hub.

It is literally the tallest building in Augsburg. Walking distance to city center. The room was updated and comfortable. We paid extra for a higher floor, and the view was worth it. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with many varieties of fruits, breads, meats and eggs. We had to pay for parking in their next door garage. This is usually the case in bigger cities. However, the garage needs serious attention. It looks like they started renovations years ago and then just abandoned it. The only way out, once you park, is through a single unkempt stairwell. We had to jump over a puddle of water at the bottom of the stairs. Also, although we had a great view of the city from our room. Our balcony had broken glass, dirt and a cigarette butt. I looked over to neighboring balconies to see similar conditions. I did let the front desk agent know. All of the staff were kind and helpful. Overall, the Dorint was a great choice.

This apparently used to be a Holiday Inn. It was delightful to see that the room had a balcony too! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. The location is right next to a major boulevard where trams run, taking about 6-7mins to the center of Augsburg. The wifi was unfortunately so slow as to be useless,with barely 1-bar, meaning an extremely weak signal.

The Dorint hotel is located close to the Congress center in Augsburg. In about 2 min. you can reach the Tram station which takes you right to the historic city center in about 10 min. There is a Parking option right next to the hotel, in case your arrive via car, and a large park close by e.g. to jogg.

Arrived from a nearby town by car and was greeted professionally and in good English at the desk by staff returning from a break ....my German is limited but they were nice about it! Checked in to the room I had booked, an excellent room with balcony. Room numbers and floors a little confusing but maybe I didn't hear right. Room 2105 is on the 11 th floor. Coffee machine and chocolate drinks , complimentary water all welcome. The shower was a little noises but functional. Wifi was a let down, very slow and frequent buffering in the room. Went down town that night directly from the tram stop five minutes from the hotel. Breakfast was very good although €19 extra. When I paid in cash on checkout I was not given a receipt, either for this cash or the hotel room previously paid. And, when I was talking to the checkout staff, she answered the phone and dealt with them as a priority ....this is not the best customer experience.

Room was large with poor air conditioning. There was no deck furniture for sitting outside. The restaurant was available for breakfast (very good), but dinner was in the bar area with only about 10 tables. Parking was two buildings away and not well marked. We thought the hotel was adequate, but only that.

I arrived hours too early. I travel a lot (trade shows, conferences, events...) and on arrival my credit card was overdrawn. Made quick transfer called credit card company but could not get anyone on phone (timezone difference? ) so payment was not processed right away - still not an issue, got my room right away. Room was very nice and clean. Hotel is quiet despite central location. Well lit and with plenty of room in the shower (if you travel both Europe and America you will know what I mean). Nice bed, plenty of pillows, fridge, large desk, plenty of outlets, comfy chair, fast Internet . What else to ask for.

Excellent location - near everything
This hotel was an excellent surprise. It was easy to find, had parking, and was well situated in the city. The best surprise was the room. Each room appeared to have a balcony. The room was spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also modern, well lit and very pleasant. Breakfast was included in the price and the variety of eats was terrific. Overall, very high marks for this hotel!

The hotel has a huge range of prices showing on various sites for identical rooms. I was there for a conference and some attendees paid half as much and had breakfast included. They really run up their rates.

We stayed at a time of unusually hot weather for Germany. Granted. However our suite was literally too hot to sleep. If it hadn't been for the loan of a fan from a relative it would have been truly miserable. As it was, it was cooler at night to leave the doors to the balcony open with the fan on so we could sleep. The small room of my daughter (about half the size of ours) was not only cool but got cold to the point they had to turn up the air conditioning. I do realize it might have been the size of the room but I don't think so since standing directly in front of the vent wasn't even cool. This was mentioned to the staff and no compensation was made what so ever. They just assumed it was the hot weather.
The food was very good, and the bar relaxing, so other than the AC not working it was a nice place to stay.

Great hotel right by tram line into city centre
Fantastic quality of room for the price. We booked a suite on the 34th floor and didn't regret the small extra cost. The view was amazing. The room was as wonderful as it looked on the website with two rooms, sofa, comfortable chair, desk, two balconies and fantastic bathroom. Minibar and coffee maker with good quality real coffee.
