Not as expected .....

I was in the annexe building, opposite from the main Hotel.
On the Hotels.com website it stated that the room had a Queen sized bed. In fact the very small room had a small single bed with a “topper matress” of about 6 inches in depth. This thin matress kept slipping around during the whole night. Most uncomfortable and annoying. Otherwise the room was new and modern and the included breakfast was an excellent buffet.

Just beware single travellers !

First class hotel in a beautiful area

We had a great time in Fuschl, it was lovely to relax on the private beach by the lake after spending the day hiking. The hotel was fantastic, excellent service, extremely comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with lots of healthy options! I would highly recommend both the hotel and the area.

This is a good 3star hotel that calls itself 4star. Worst aspect is that while summers have gotten hotter the Mohrenwirt has no air conditioning at all and that was very uncomfortable at night.

Lovely hotel - don't book the Annex

Book the 4* room in the hotel, not the 3* in the Annex. It is tiny and the bathrooms needs updating. It was clean & the first hotel that used Alexa throughout - which was a very pleasant surprise. The service was great!

Lovely hotel in a beautiful lakeside town

Everything about the hotel was perfect. Lovely hotel in a small and beautiful lake side town located close to the bus stop ( for those with walking problems or with a lot of luggage, this would be ideal). The hotel has an elevator as well, which is rare in the area.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Very cooperative staff who made sure all our requests were taken care of and were happy to provide local tips. Breakfast was very good with a great spread.

No negatives. Go ahead and book.

The staff were extremely personable and welcoming. Breakfast staff were especially helpful and efficient and there was a great choice of food and drink. The location of the hotel is great, in a lovely little village. Lake Fuschl is wonderful: clean, fresh and warm water. The hotel's beach allows you to relax in attractive, tranquil surroundings. We stayed in the annex, but it's only a short hop across the road to breakfast.

Charming hotel in small town

We spent a weekend at Hotel Mohrenwirt, in a room in the 'Annex', which is a building across the street from the main hotel. Our room was in the second floor (no elevator, but this was ok for us). It was spacious indeed, clean & comfortable. As others have noted, the only annoying thing was the proximity to the local church whose bells are the alarm clock - quite loud & sounding for a long time....but it was not a deal breaker overall.
Breakfast is fantastic, so much variety as well as great service from staff with coffee & tea.
The front office staff are very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. On the Saturday night we were unable to eat dinner at the hotel due to a private event, but we received good recommendations from Daniella for an alternative location to dine. Dinner at the hotel on Friday evening was marvellous. Food cooked perfectly, served nice & hot with delicious taste. Also good wine recommendations. We hope to return to this hotel in the future & highly recommend it.

Great Weekend Get-Away

We chose the hotel based upon both TripAdvisor and Expedia, and found it to be a good decision. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. You could sense that they all love their jobs. The owner even greeted us. The hotel is perfectly situated, a two minute walk from the lake shore. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The food is fresh, healthy and plentiful. The hotel offers a full menu of activities for anyone looking to take advantage of Salzkammergut's reputation for extreme sports.

This hotel by a beautiful lake is great for hikers, bikers and runners. The room was pretty basic but perfectly comfortable. The scenery was outstanding. Breakfast was included and very good. The front desk will provide helpful guide for walkers and runners and everything is well signposted. There is also private beach but the water is frigid. They will also arrange free bike rentals.

Less than 5 minute walk to Fuschl See where they have a private beach for hotel guests. However, it is also close to the town church, where the noisy church bells start ringing at 6 am. Great breakfast buffet and restaurant. Very clean and modern room with free wi-fi.

Cannot recommend single room! rip off

If this were a thirty EUR hostel room it would have been fine. But for a supposed \"3 star\" hotel it is simply a rip-off. A tiny tiny tiny room, barely able to move and no place to put down ones things. The shower did not have anything (no rack, no stand) to put down ones shower gel or shampoo, nothing. There was not even a thick curtain or Rolladen (!?) such that it was super bright and super hot, very early in the morning. Also the condition of the bathroom (e.g. floor peeling off) was no where near 3 stars. Again, rip-off for 80 EUR.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen und die Umgebung zum wandern traumhaft.
Für den Hund bezahlt man etwas Aufpreis (verständlicher weise), dafür wurde aber auch das Zimmer täglich mehr als normal super ordentlich gereinigt.

1) Zimmer: Das Zimmer der günstigeren Preiskategorie im Nebenhaus war nur mit 3 Sterne beschrieben und so war es auch: alter Teppichboden, in die Jahren gekommene Einrichtung, Bad der 70er und Matratze mit Kuhle in der Mitte. Das Zimmer war außerdem recht dunkel mit Blick auf die gegenüberstehende Fassade des Nachbarhauses, wobei die Zimmer auf der anderen Seite des Flures mit Balkon ausgestattet sind und einen unverbauten Blick auf die Wiesen bieten, in diesen Genuß kam ich leider nicht!
2) Sauberkeit: Alles sauber geputzt
3) Frühstücksbuffet: Tolles Buffet mit großer Auswahl in wunderschönem und ruhigem Ambiente, allerdings im Haupthaus!
4) Restaurant: Gehobene und exzellente Küche mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
Der Service sowohl beim Früstück als auch im Restaurant ist top: nette, aufmerksame, zuvorkommende und professionnelle Bedienung.

Leider nur eine Nacht

Wir sind leider nur eine Nacht geblieben, es war nur ein Kurzurlaub geplant. Der Empfang war freundlich und das Zimmer sauber. Die Benützung des Standbades war ebenfalls inkludiert. Das Abendessen nahmen wir im Restaurant ein. Auch hier war die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Frühstück war vorzüglich. Kommen gerne wieder.

Bei meinen spontanen Ausflug zum Fuschlsee hab ich mich dazu entschieden, in diesem Hotel in Fuschl zu übernachten, was ich nie bereut habe. Ich hatte einen sehr schnellen Check-in und mein Zimmer war im Nebengebäude, das recht neu aussieht und mein Zimmer war auch sehr gut, man hat alles, was man braucht und es ist alles in einen sehr guten Zustand. Bad auch schön. Frühstück war reichlich und die Hotelmitarbeiter immer freundlich. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt. Nur zu empfehlen!

Great base for an active stay in Fuschl

Nice and tidy room, great sports facilities and private lakefront strip for the day with free SUPs, free entrance to the public pool (Fuschlseebad) and its fitness facilities, and a relatively late breakfast - overall, a great place. It's pricier than other options in the village, but it offers more, especially for sports activities. The breakfast is not good too.

Guter Radverleih, laute Zimmer

Wer hier buchen will unbedingt ein Zimmer zur Flussseite verlangen, dann bleibt einem wenigstens der Verkehrslärm erspart.
Ich würde aufgrund der lauten Lage und der Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer dort nicht mehr buchen.
Ich bin in der Hinsicht zwar empfindlich, bin aber 4-5 mal jährlich in Hotels und so extrem hatte ich das noch nie.

+ hochwertiger Radverleih
+ eigene Räder können in Radgarade untergebracht werden
+ kostenloser Zutritt zum nahen Freibad, allerdings nur kurze Schwimmbahn
+ kompetente und freundliche Unterstützung bei Radtourplanung
+ großes, vielseitiges Frühstücksbuffet mit Kaffevollautomat, moderne edle Frühstücksräume
+ kostenloser Wäscheservice
+ guter Fernseher auf dem Zimmer
+ kostenloses Wlan

- Ich fand es sehr laut zur Straßenseite weil schlecht isolierte Balkonfenster bzw. Außenwände.
Hotel offenbar an Hauptverkehrsader: Verkehrslärm von Liefer-LKW, Sportwagen und Motorrädern ganztägig, gegenüber Bank mit Parkplatz hier fahren den ganzen Tag Autos weg. Balkontür bleibt daher zu...
- Zimmerwände extrem hellhörig, Husten, Räuspern und Sprache von Nebenzimmern deutlich zu hören
- Klospülung laut und gluckernd, auch wenn in den anderen Etagen jemand spült
- schliessen der Zimmertüren vom Gang der anderen Gäste deutlich zu hören, ich war immer gegen 7 Uhr wachgeknallt
- keine Klimaanlage, Ende Juli hatte ich Nachts um die 27 Grad im Zimmer
- kein kleiner Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer für eigene Getränke
- Vorhänge schliessen nicht lichtdicht, ich fand es zu hell

Tolles Hotel am romantischen Fuschlsee

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Hotel - nur 5 Minuten vom See entfernt. Es gibt einen kleinen Privatstrand den man mit nutzen konnte - super zum entspannen. Liegen sind auch vorhanden. Das Frühstücksbuffett war sehr vielseitig. Leider waren viele Tische für Gäste mit HP reserviert- sodass man leider nicht viele Tische zur Auswahl hatte. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

only a few steps from the lake.

I had a room located to the \"main street\". was a bit noisy due my stay according to the
\"Kirchweih\" celebration. Breakfast was good. Please take note that you have to place reservations
to have dinner as guest as well! You can only choose between 3 menues.
Canyon Bike Rental station with good prices. Wellness area was very noisy. The owner Jakob & his
stuff are very friendly and helpful. As guest free entry to the Fuschelseebad

할슈타트, 짤스커머굿 관광 후 조용한 휴식을 원하시면 푸슐제 근처 호텔을 적극 추천하고 싶어요.
조그마한 동네이지만 관광지 근처라 그런지 영어안내가 잘 되어있고 사람들이 매우 친절합니다. 여름철엔 호숫가 수영장도 이용할 수 있고 수영장 윗층 휘트니스는 겨울철에도 동네호텔 이용객에겐 무료로 개방합니다.
호텔에 딸린 사우나 시설도 이용할 수 있어 좋았어요.
아침도 푸짐하게 잘 나옵니다. 여름철에 다시 한번 들르고 싶네요~^^

Great location and superb bikes!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mohrenwirt very much. Very friendly and helpful staff. We loved using the bikes to explore the area and go to the beach. Your private beach is a place to really relax and enjoy the superb views of the lake. Your garden was also a quiet haven for us to relax in when we wanted some down time. Our daughter loved the swing set and slide. We also enjoyed the location of your hotel, it is very central and in walking distance to everything! A great place for anyone to go to and be active and also to relax! I highly recommend it and we will be going again for an extended weekend in 2 weeks' time!

Nice hotel, near salzburg and hallstatt

Very nice hotel in with great staff. A small spa that was nice to use when it was raining. Also a private beach which was very beautiful.
Rooms very clean and up to date. Salzburg was 30minutes away and Hallstatt was 55 minutes away with our rentalcar, make sure you get there before the big rush of tourists around 12.

viel zu viele Mängel für ein 4-Sterne Hotel

Aufgrund meiner Unwissenheit, daß der Zusatz bei der Buchung: \"ANNEX 3 Star\" nur das 3-Stern-Nebengebäude meint, buchten wir leider das. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach eingerichtet, die Wände kahl. ABER: Staub ohne Ende im Zimmer, man konnte deutlich drin schreiben (Fotos vorhanden) das Waschbecken hatte einen großen Sprung, die Gläser im Bad waren innen u. außen derart verdreckt, daß man sie vom Etagere runterreißen musste; in der Dusche war ein langes rotes Haar vom vorigen Gast hinterlassen; der Teppichboden war sah genauso unansehlich aus.
Am nächsten Tag zahlten wir aufs 4-Stern-Zimmer im Haupthaus auf. Unser Zimmer war recht abgewohnt, die Zimmerreinigung auch hier sehr mangelhaft. Der im Zimmer platzierte Ecksessel hat an beiden Armlehnen sogar große Löcher.
Im Frühstücksrestaurantbereich musste einmal das Besteck ausgetauscht werden, weils so dreckig war, und mit dem Finger konnte man auf die Sitzfläche des Kachelofens und auf die antike Truhe im 1. Stock gegenüber dem Lift ein großes S.. als Andenken schreiben 
Bei meinem im Hotel gebuchten E-Bike ging nur der 3. und der 7. Gang auf Anhieb. Die anderen zeitweise erst nach ein paar Minuten. Also trat man dann mit voller Wucht ins Leere. ist nicht sehr angenehm... Die Dame beim Empfang sagte: ich werde das an den Kollegen weiterleiten. Keine Entschuldigung oder Angebot der Wiedergutmachung oder ähnliches...
Wirklich positiv kann man das Personal im Frühstücksraum hervorheben!
