Beautiful views at sunset, nice dinner options at the on site restaurant, nice setting for a relaxing couple days off but the best thing about this hotel is how great the service was. Very attentive, very friendly and very efficient. I can’t speak high enough about them!

The staff and service are amazing! Food was excellent and view from the guesthouse truely breathtaking. If you do stay, ask for a room NOT above the kitchen. The staff talking and cleaning up kept me awake until late.

Great place to stay

Up a steep and unlit single track hill but that’s my only complaint. Lovely staff who found us an iron even though they were out of them. Great food at dinner including vegan options. Local recommendations from staff that were great. Comfy bed, easy parking once you’re there.

Best experience ever for Salzburg.

Watch the Alpes while breakfast, or watch the perfect sunset while having a wine, just incredible views form this place.
Cousy very Cousy and the personal just made our stay completely perfect.
They gave us recommendations about where to go and all local tips, that took us to the best views ever experienced.
For sure we will be back to this special place.
We were also able to run between the others near farms.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing from check-in to check-out. I travelled around Salzburg by myself for a few days and I honestly think my experience would have been different if it wasn’t for these guys. Their professionalism, advice and customer service was amazing. Don’t get me started on the mountain views here too.... I would honestly stay here again and I wish Kurt and his team all the best, thank you Daxluegstraße!

Breathtaking!

The most amazing view of Salzburg you will ever see. The hotel was incredibly clean and the staff was more than friendly! This is one of those \"everything you hoped for you get and more\" places. The rooms were nice and comfortable and clean! The only problem was the hot water was out the morning of our departure but it was due to a technical issue that was remedied quickly.

Comfortable lodging and super customer service

Two brothers operate this beautiful hotel high above salzburg. Their attention to detail and their customer service is extraordinary. Our apartment was very comfortable and wonderfully appointed. Our room overlooked salzburg city and the surrounding mountains. Despite our late arrival, they kept the kitchen open and served a wonderful meal on the panoramic terrace. Breakfast was a real treat each morning...eggs made to our specifications, homemade breads, and other assorted Austrian delights. The customer service bears repeating; each brother sat down with us in the mornings and helped us plan our day. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be away from the nighttime hustle and bustle of the city and be treated like family!

Amazing Views of Salzburg

The service was excellent, the views are amazing, and the food was quite good. The hotel is outside of Salzburg high on a mountain. The only complaint is that we had to sleep with the windows closed to prevent wildlife from coming for a visit.

Absolutely the best

This place to stay was a true dream for many reasons: the unforgettable view over all Salzburg downtown, the fantastic spacious 2-rooms suite with fully equipped kitchen for the unbelievably affordable price, great breakfast and very very warm welcome by two brothers who run this family hotel.

It officially has 3 stars (for the lack of reception as one of brothers explained) but for my strong opinion it deserves 5 stars.

I immediately booked the same room for next week because I plan to come back to Salzburg again and I think it's one of the top best hotels I ever visited in my life.

MOUNTAIN RETREAT WITHIN VIEW OF SALTZBURG

Awesome view of the the valley & Germany beyond. Our stay was too short. For those of us who like nature Vs the side by side presence of concrete that looks into more of the same this EDELWEISS-like hotel / hostel is a hikers retreat, steeped in the history & culture of the area. Staff were beyond friendly & most helpful. Remember we r talking basic accommodation, but perfect if wanting a mtn cottage retreat feel. Becuz of this place we will return to the Salzburg area, drive up the mtn & enjoy the 18 minute separation from city to mtn.

Hyggeligt hotel i skønne omgivelser

Dette hotel ligger oppe i bjergene med en smuk udsigt over Salzburg. Hotelejeren er meget imødekommende og gør meget for at man har det godt under sit ophold. Han spørger ind til, hvad man skal opleve og giver sin egne inputs.
Værelset er stort og sengen er god at sove i.
Morgenmaden er klassisk, men god. Aftensmaden er virkelig lækker. Det ses også med alle de gæster, som kommer der kun til spisning.

如果你希望看到萨尔茨堡山间最美的一面，那一定要尝试一下这家酒店，如果你热爱徒步和越野跑，也一定住这里。酒店服务也非常棒。房间选择山景那一面更好。唯一的缺点是需求开车或打车才能抵达，但车程在15分钟内就可到达老城任何点，所以也不算大问题。

늦은 시각에 가서 좀 외진 위치 때문에 산길 조심운전 함. 차가 있어서 찾아가는게 크게 어렵진 않았음. 방은 매우 넓고 깨끗. 그러나 식기는 청결상태가 별로였음. 방은 진짜 넓음. 아침 조식 식기랑 음식 상태는 먼지가 많고 별로였음. 그래도 친절하고 집전체랑 방이 매우 넓어 편안함. 분위기는 약간 무서운 산장 느낌.

Un très joli \"petit\" appartement avec une vue sur la terrasse et vue sur la ville endormie ... au matin, on s'aperçoit qu'il y a aussi les montagnes derrière.
Le restaurant est très sympathique et bon, j'ai été très agréablement surpris et aimerait revenir dans un mois plus chaud pour profiter pleinement de la terrasse !!

Absolut nicht kundenfreundlich!

Achtung Abzocke!
Wir haben dieses Hotel aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen gebucht und uns schon sehr auf das Hotel gefreut. Da es sich laut Buchungsbestätigung um ein Hotel handelt das keine rund um die Uhr besetzte Rezeption hat, haben wir vor Ankunft versucht dieses telefonisch zu erreichen um über unsere Ankunftszeit zu informieren. Leider ist auch nach mehrmaligen Versuchen keiner ans Telefon gegangen. Wir sind lediglich in einer endlos Warteschleife gelandet. Als wir um 22.05 Uhr am Hotel vorgefahren sind war der Parkplatz wie leer gefegt. Und es war alles dunkel. Es brannte lediglich ein Licht im Erdgeschoss des Hotels. Alle Türen waren verschlossen. Und auch nach mehrmaligem klingeln und klopfen hat uns niemand aufgemacht. Auch hier haben wir wieder den telefonischen Weg gesucht und sind wie die Male zuvor lediglich in der Warteschleife gelandet. Wir haben ca 35 Minuten versucht jemanden zu erreichen der uns in das Hotel einchecken lässt. Da dies erfolglos war, wir von der Fahrt sehr müde waren und keinerlei Hoffnung darauf bestand das noch jemand erscheint haben wir leider ein anderes Hotel buchen müssen. Bei dem Versuch das Geld für die nicht erbrachte Leistung zurück zu erhalten wurde uns vom Hotelchef auf eine unverschämte Art und Weise gesagt das wir das Geld auf keinen Fall zurück erhalten. Wir hätten länger versuchen sollen das Hotel telefonisch zu erreichen und dass, das Zimmer anderweitig hätte vermietet werden können. (mit leidiglich einem PKW vor der Tür)

Ne respecte pas les deals Hôtels.com. Demande des suppléments.
Lorsque nous avons réservé sur hôtels.com 1 appartement le nombre de personne n'apparaissait pas.
Le réceptionniste fort désagréable nous a contraint à un supplément de 50 euros.
Prétextant que nous avions réservé pour 1 personne. Donc 1 appartement = 1 personne dans leur logique Donc bye bye la promo et les avantages hôtels.com et prix plein pot.
Coté resto on nous accepte à 20H30 Le service est un peu long ...Ensuite à 21:04 impossible de commander le dessert et café car la cuisine ferme à 21:00 Drôle d'expérience en Autriche

One of the best staying ever so far with Hotels.com Located just outside of Salzburg, in Hallwang with an outstanding panorama view, and also pefect located for hiking around the many lakes in the area. We decided after just one night to return after our two weeks holliday in Rovinj for a few more nights.
Gasthof DaxLueg is owned by Andreas and Kurt Schuber and and they were very serviceminded so we recomend everyone to take a few nights on DaxLueg

We can highly recomend this Hotel !!

Fantastic view

Fantastic overnight stay during our holiday towards Croatia. The view to Salzburg is stunning and the level of hospitality from the host is next to nothing. Everything was prepared and we really felt that we were welcome. The location is 8 km outside city center of Salzburg but quiet and with a terrace with the most beautiful view to the city where you can enjoy all your meals.
We will definitely come back and also send out warmest recommendations for this hotel

Zimmer aussergewöhnlich groß, sehr sauber, verkehrsberuhigte Lage, oberhalb Salzburgs. Panoramaausblick über die Salzburger Bergwelt unbezahlbar...Restaurant mit Spitzenküche und sehr freundliches und zuvorkomnendes Personal. Wunderschöner Gastgarten und Aussichtsterrasse, aber auch drinnen sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Immer wieder sehr gerne!

Schönes Panorama hoch in den Bergen mit komfortabl

Wir waren für eine Nacht im Panoramagasthof DaxLueg und waren begeistert. Als wir dort eintrafen fiel uns zunächst die große Anlage sowie das tolle Panorama auf. Wir wurden vom Hotelbetreiber gleich herzlich empfangen und zum Zimmer geleitet. Das Zimmer war eigentlich ein kleines Appartment, und größer als erwartet. Nachdem wir sonst immer in viel zu kleinen Zimmer an allem Möglichen hängen blieben und stolperten, war dieses für uns geräumige Appartment ein Luxus, den wir fortan nicht mehr missen möchten. Das Doppelbett im Schlafzimmer war so kuschlig, dass mein Mann und mein Sohn gar nicht mehr aufstehen wollten... ;) Das Wohn-/Esszimmer war mit einem großen Kleiderschrank ausgestattet, in dem alles untegebracht werden konnte.
Die Außenanlage war schön hergerichtet und unser Sohn konnte sich reichlich austoben. Wir hätten auf dem Schnee, der noch lag, sogar noch Schlittenfahren können. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Restaurant und die Option, Frühstück zum Zimmer hinzuzubuchen.
Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir werden sicher wieder einmal dorthin fahren.
