I enjoyed my stay at Parkhotel Brunau in the city of Salzburg. My room/bed was comfortable and everything was clean and nice. Breakfast was excellent. I also enjoyed free bus fare during my stay in Salzburg, which was arranged by the hotel staff. I really enjoyed my stay in Salzburg and would stay at this hotel again, but longer and in the summer to enjoy the garden of the hotel.

Clean with eclectic style. The standard room was very small. Fantastic breakfast buffet. No rugs so everything echoed in the room. Off the beaten path, which has its advantages, but the immediate surroundings were a bit dark.

Men helt galet med toaletten i eget rum och handfat och dusch i ett annat. Något trång dusch.

Outstanding breakfast and good service; easy check-in/check-out; friendly accommodation to store luggage for some hours after check-out; great beds; great coffee etc. in room. Great outdoor garden & lawn with space for letting kids run or sit with a book. Just missing racks to hang moist towels for sufficient drying/reuse. It was slightly difficult to find the hotel by walking from train station due to current construction sites 0.5 miles away. But no noise or other disturbance from those sites. Otherwise great central location to river, buses, sightseeing.

Expérience relativement décevante pour le prix payé. Un hotel très moyen de gamme, qui nécessiterait un rafraichissement. Ce n’est ni plus ni moins que l’équivalent d’un iBis Budget ou Formule 1 mais à 130 euros mini la nuit!
Literie très moyenne je me suis réveillé avec un mal de dos pas possible
Salle de bain vétuste et moyennement propre.
Le personnel est en revanche aimable et serviable.

While the accomodation was sufficient for our needs, it lacked charm. The rooms were also terribly warm and we were unable to use the air conditioning unit within the room. There was also no exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Balcony overlooking garden was nice. A/C worked well. Dressing area nice but there was only one piece of furniture - which guest got to keep their luggage off of the ground? No counter in the bathroom! No counter space in bathroom made it very difficult for 2 women w/makeup and toiletries. Staff was not eager to engage. Expected more for the price.

Nice hotel conveniently located for train station and bus routes. Staff very friendly and helpful, gardens are lovely, room aircon worked very well.
Not really up to the condition and level of service I’d expect for a 4 star hotel though. No coffee pod top up during a 3 night stay and room decor was pretty tired and basic.

A lovely hotel

The staff were great, food was awesome and excellent location.
Would stay here again for sure.
Not a mark against the hotel but I did get quite a lot of mosquito bites so if youre travelling there in this climate then take some repellant.

This is a beautiful hotel so close to the train station. We had a very nice room with a balcony that looked over a very nice garden which was part of its property. We could sit there in the evening enjoying a glass of wine. The last night that we were there they were serving dinner al fresco in the garden. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay there again when in Salzburg and would recommend it to my friends The location is very convenient and not that far from the historic old town.

I was disappointed as it was supposed to be a 4* hotel and this did not live up to that rating. No restaurant or bar open on Saturday night and a very average breakfast for 18 Euros. The bathroom had a very strange smell (despite a separate toilet) and the shower itself was extremely small. Worst was when the guy at reception tried to charge me again for my two nights on check out - I insisted it was already paid but he was adamant it had not been. I was left trying to search through emails while at the desk to try and prove otherwise. Not a nice feeling.

Comfortable, room was small, for a few dollars more should have gotten the next size up, but if just going to sleep it's fine, My grandson needed to do a few items of laundry, was very pricey. Beautiful property with lovely grounds. We thought the parking was free but at check out was charged. Great breakfast.

The hotel is situated within walking distance to the train station, although a little further than it seemed on the map. It's in a very quiet neighbourhood. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast which is included. A wonderful spread of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, veggies, cereals, hot foods, and a chef who makes your custom omelettes!!! She was amazing and would serve your made to order omelette right to your table. The staff at the restaurant were very attentive and nice. The front reception staff could be more friendly, and our check-in experience was not smooth as it took the front receptionist some time to find out reservation (seems like he was looking on the wrong date). All in all, a great place to stay in lovely Salzburg.

It’s a bit of a trek from the old town. However you can walk along the river. Close to the train station but can’t say I would stay in this area again.
Hotel felt more like a basic 3 star. If you wanted tea/coffee, the sachets etc were at reception so you had to go down for them (not a huge deal, but having walked over 20km that day, 2 flights of stairs was like a mountain!!)
It was clean, staff friendly and printed train tickets for me which was great. The place was just a bit soulless.

Depressing.

I blame myself for believing good reviews without looking deeper. First, some positives: It's a short walk from the railway station, certainly not expensive, the breakfast is pretty good, and staff were all pleasant and helpful.
However, despite efforts to brighten up the interior with original art works, it feels like a cross between student accommodation and a Travelodge with low level staff training facilities. It's in a dreadful part of the city where you probably won't want to walk after dark, and certainly won't want to eat. My boxy little room have a very strange smell and a safe that didn't work.
Functional, but I will never return.

The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. The registration was efficient and friendly. Arriving early, we were given access to a locked baggage room and got an early start looking at the town. The locations that you are most likely wanting to see starts about 20 minutes away. The walking is on pretty level sidewalks.

The Hotel is clean and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and faced the garden. No complaints about the room. It has a very nice breakfast--I thought the omelettes were great. We ate at the restaurant one night and thought it was good.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel near Train Station

Not close to the old town city center but easily accessible by bus. I chose to stay here since I just needed a place to sleep and take the train out early next morning with the last minute change in travel plans. A wide variety of breakfast but lacks quality.

The hotel is in a quiet area but very close to the center of all activities. Take a bus #2 from the airport and get off on Jahnstrasse. It’s about 4-6 min walk to the hotel.
The staff is super friendly. The front desk suggested the tours to take and what to opt out to save money. The room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was awesome: all kind of cold cut meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sunny side up, omelets, fresh fruits and vegetables, different kinds of bread, croissants, cereal, juices and coffee. Worth the money I paid for a nice accommodation.

We received excellent service here right from the moment we arrived. Staff member Evi was super helpful and kind. She provided us with several tips and places to visit in Salzburg and area. She always had a smile and willing to help. Excellent selection of hot and cold breakfast foods. Bikes available to rent from hotel was fantastic! Definitely would stay again! Location is close to all the main sites walking or by bike.

Great spot for Kew and a weekend in London

Very clean and stylish hotel with a great food and pub to boot. Even though the hotel is part of a pub we had no issues with noise at night. There is secure parking under the hotel and Kew Gardens is just on the opposite side of the road. Would definitely use again.

Loved the location of the hotel - close to the main train station and everything else at walking distance or a bus ride of 5-10 mins away. Lots of free parking space for cars inside hotel premises. The property is located in a quiet section of Salzburg. The staff were professional and very accommodating, they were out to make sure their guest had the best experience possible. Most of the main tourist sights were within a 15 minute walk and along that path one gets to scout out plenty of shopping and restaurant locations.

Parking! Easy here, hard in the city. If you are experiencing traditional Salzburg (Aldstadt) staying at this hotel with easy commute downtown is a great way to go if you have a car.

We were renting a car so we chose this hotel which offers free parking and other benefits that often found in hotels that are located away from the city centre. The guest room is spacious. The dining room is spacious. Breakfast selection is good probably because there is ample room to lay out the foods!

Great hotel and I stayed 3 night for leisure. It's close to train and bus station (less than 6 minutes walk), and only about 25 minutes to the old town. The single room I stayed is not big but is good enough for just one person. Wifi works well, comfortable bed and clean bathroom make you sleep well after long hours of sightseeing. the breakfast is good and have a wide selection of choices. Here I give my deepest thanks to the young and pretty receptionists Lisa, Evi and Givuana. Lisa gives me a warm welcome and sort out my problem of operating the air-conditioner, Evi shows me the fastest and easiest way to old and gives me suggestions of what to see in Salzburg and Givuana is nice and friendly.

Great Stay in Salzburg

Great hotel with an excellent breakfast and free parking. The service was wonderful, wi-fi was great, and the hotel is near a bus stop. It’s also easy walking distance to the train station — if you don’t have much luggage. The lighting is a bit dim in the room and bathroom, but other than that, it was a great stay.
