The rooms were clean. Staff was helpful. Location was nicely located right next to the Hauptbahnhof & Bus station. The hotel gave out free transit passes to use city buses, which was great for my family. We could bus to the different sites very easily. I would definitely stay there again.
Oh, and the restaurant was on the top floor, which was very nice. Great views!

No internet in the room so it was agreed that we would have breakfast the next day as complimentary. The lady who was on reception on the morning of 28/12 as we were checking out had an awful unwelcoming and non friendly demeanour, and is the reason I will never return to this place along with the poor rating I have given. First she asked me to pay for breakfast so this obviously hadn’t been communicated. When I explained that we weee told it was complimentary she just said “I don’t care, I’ll just cancel it then”. Her frosty, unfriendly and unwelcoming manner are really quite alarming and would certainly not be someone I would want greeting customers! Dissapointed as some other things were good.

The room was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a TV remote with a Guide so I could find BBC or CNN. But even better would have been a window that opened so I could have taken a photo and not had it been through a dirty window!!!

I stayed here last week and did not get a Mobility card … this week I did! Wish they were consistent … and that the staff cared … because the gal I mentioned it to this morning did not.

We expected two double beds as pictured when we did room selection. We had one double and a rock-hard futon. Staff were helpful and friendly. For the price paid I would go elsewhere on a repeat visit. The only plus was proximity to the train station.

Staff was friendly and I could not check in upon arrival but they kindly stored my luggage for me so that I could begin exploring Salzburg. Upon checking in and going to my room, I found that the towels were dirty and appeared to have makeup on them. That made me feel as if the whole room may not be clean. Breakfast is not included. Hotel is ideal for those using bus/train transportation.

All the rooms have amazing view facing the alps and the castle. We love watching sunrise and sunset from our room! Amazing location right next to bus terminal for all of our day trips. Supermarket inside the station is a plus, and it opened during holidays even when everything else was closed. Great location and great hotel!

We booked two superior rooms six weeks before arrival. Rooms were not on same floor as our travel companions. One room was a much smaller room, glasses were not clean. We were charged the same for both rooms.Over-priced at $370.00/.night. Front desk help was poor.

Nice staff and a nice view from the rooftop but the hotel is old, the room we stayed in was very old and the bed was awfully uncomfortable. Very close to the train and bus depot, so the area doesn’t feel very nice. Spend a bit more and stay closer to the downtown area, not worth the savings.

Best personal vacation hotel in Salzburg.

Excellent location next to Salzburg central train and bus stations. Supermarkets are right there for your conveniences. It is quiet even it is close the train station. I would recommend this hotel for your vacation in Salzburg.
It is well connected to regional tourist attractions, like Hallstatt.

1. There is stain in the water pot
2. The fridge isn’t work at all, which we can’t store any products that required a cold temperature
3. The drainage system in the bathroom isn’t work, there is water accumulating while bathing
4. The furniture is dirty inside the room, there are even food crumbs in the side of the chair.
The above mentioned point can’t be accepted under any circumstances.

The only perspective worth mentioning is the location, which is really convenient as it is nearby the train station.

The location of this hotel is amazing is great if you need easy access to the train/ bus station. They have luggage storage which was fantastic! The hotel itself though was old and dingy. The shower head wouldn’t work without spraying all over the bathroom and random pieces of the shower would fall off.

The Room we were given at first was not big enough for 2 people. We then requested for the room that was shown on our printout. The gentleman there was very kind and gave us the room shown on our printout which then made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
Need to mention this for everyone else's comfort going forward ...the wash basin and potty is pretty badly stained and not a good look for guests. The drainage needs some attention too. Its mainly the cap that sits over the drain falls into lock position and has to be lifted up for water to drain which is not a very sanitizing thing for guest to do. Over all we had a comfortable sleep. Bed, linen and AC all good.

The hotel is close to transportation but with all the Gypsies we were very uncomfortable and worried they were sleeping right outside the building and with teenage girls not acceptable. They also charged extra for sitting down to breakfast after you had already paid for breakfast.

Pros: hotel is by train station, room clean upon arrival, bedding is wonderful, soap smells awesome and overall affordable. Lots of restaurants around. Air conditioning was great.

Cons: the flooring feels like cement with a piece of fabric over it - it is sooooo hard to walk on. Location is a good 25 min walk to main shops and tourist areas. No phone in room - they use a tablet - but you also need to request to have them change out towels and clean room. Hotel is outdated - lots of stains and mildew in shower. Offer a breakfast, but pricy. Charge for all minibar and snacks !!! Light in bathroom falling out of ceiling. Cleaning people do not clean room during visit - only exchange towels and make bed ;no change of sheets).

Stop over on way from Zell am see and hotel directly opposite the train station in Salzburg, which was great. But to be honest the hotel room was very basic. The air-conditioning was awful. We were baking all night despite an open window and although there was water in the mini bar we were told by the receptionist that it would have to be paid for.

Great location, right by the Salzburg train & bus station. This was only a short bus ride into the ‘old town’. Area around hotel felt safe. Rooms are in need of refurbishment but still quite adequate. Bath room needs improvement as shower is within the bath & could be an issue for some people to use. Otherwise, I loved it and would stay again.

This hotel is conveniently close to the train station and an easy walk to Mirabellplatz and there is a lovely lady working in the bar area. But this is not a prime property! I reserved what I thought would be a good-sized normal hotel room. But the room is really shaped more like a dormitory room with the bed shoved against the wall. No room for a bedside table. The carpet in my room had two large stains, the one towel provided had brown stains splattered over most of it and it was very thin and worn. Bath amenities include a combination shampoo/body wash product and hand soap at the sink. That’s it. Curtains are not blackout so there’s quite a bit of light at night. I will say rooms are quiet at night and with some perseverance you can get the thermostat to cooperate and give you a cooler room. Even in October the room was very warm, especially for the comforter on the bed. The bed is quite firm with no cushion but not uncomfortable. Breakfast on the top floor is standard hotel continental fare in Europe. It’s not a bad hotel, but more than one or two nights might be too much without a bit more to offer guests. The hotel advertises evening food/snacks, but they are pretty limited. There is no kitchen in the bar area, so you get a microwaved dish. I did have the chili and it was really good, but the price was a tad bit high for tinned food. Staff is courteous and helpful. Trend Austria is decent basic lodging with no pretense to luxury.

Good location if you need to be near the train station. I booked a queen bed and, classic Europe hotel, get the nonsense two twin beds pushed together. I realized later in my Europe trip that the way to get a queen bed is to throw a hissy fit. I don't care if it's requested and not guaranteed for 250-300 euro a night you should be able to book what type of bed you're going to have. Why do you have the small shard of glass across the opening of the shower to keep the water in the shower? Why can't you have a shower curtain in your hotel? When I left my bags at the hotel I requested that my backpack, that had two laptops in it, be put on the floor and not on the comically small top level of the storage closet. The young man who helped me said no, it would be fine and put my back pack up on the small ledge. I said, Absolutely not, put that backpack on the floor and he countered by saying that the floor was for large luggage and I said I didn't care, if that backpack falls to the floor with two laptops in it I'm going to be upset. Eventually he agreed but he did not want to and repeatedly resisted the request. Salzburg is awesome. This hotel and it's room quality and service are not.

Didn’t replace bath towels

The room was nice beds are comfortable but we put our towels on the floor to be replaced and we got back after a full day of sightseeing and the towels were taken off the floor but none replaced. I called reception and they said she would send someone straight up about 20mins later my husband went down to see them and she said she has sent someone, but we had no one about 5 mins after my husband got back we finally got our towels.

Really close to the railway station and was convenient after arriving in the early hours. It wasn’t far to walk into town.
The highlight was dining for breakfast on the 15th floor with snow capped mountains and views to die for.
