I had a very nice stay at this centrally located, quiet hotel during the Christmas season. I had a large room, and it was very clean.The staff members were nice, and they were very friendly, and helpful too. This was a good hotel, at a good value, and I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location opposite the Mirabell Gardens and superb public transport is outside too with a direct service to and from the airport (bus no 2).
The reception and breakfast staff are amazing and the Gluewien in the cafe is the best in Salzburg- we did extensive testing!
The breakfast set us up for the day and was very good. All tastes are catered for with fresh eggs available to order.
Some might say the room is small however it is more than adequate with big bed (extra pillows from reception) 2 chairs to and shower in the bathroom. It is not a modern character less hotel like a Travelodge or Premier Inn etc. there are fast food places nearby or wander for 5-10 minutes for great restaurants.

The hotel is centrally located across from Mirabell Palace and a short walk to Old Town where Mozart’s birthplace is and a wonderful shopping area. We attended a Mozart dinner concert at the Fortress which overlooks Old Town. This was excellent. We took a taxi from the hotel and a funicular to complete the ascent. Returning we were able to easily walk back to our hotel. The hotel was clean and staff courteous and very helpful on getting around the area including complementary bus passes. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was perfect - we were close to the public bus, the tour bus for the Sound of Music tour, casual dining, and the neighborhood felt safe. We were a short walk to the river and better shopping. After crossing the river, it was a short walk to get to old town which allowed us to see the area. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciate the set up for 3 of us - we had a king bed, a twin bed + a couch in our room. The bathroom was a little tight, but it was sufficient. The hotel and room were clean, but it was evident that it is an older hotel. Breakfast, which was not free, was good but had more traditional foods. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Great location near Mirabell Gardens. Within 11-15 min walking of everything we would want to do in Salzburg.

Hotel is a bit older - rooms are narrow and carpeted. Would have preferred additional pillows as the ones they have are very thing.

Water pressure is excellent and shower gets very hot. Appreciated the complimentary water in the room. The AC unit was also very effective, it would be so nice in summer!

Front desk staff very friendly and always available.

This property is a historic hotel and, as such, has some of the downsides to staying in an old building. Our room was a little musty, but it was very clean. There were nice amenities like electric shutters to keep out the light and noise, and the AC worked very well. The bed was comfortable. This hotel is on the other side of the river from the old city, that was very convenient and close to walk. We also chose it because we had a car and there’s very close by parking. The hotel gives a substantial discount for this garage. I would stay here again. It is not luxurious, but it was more than adequate for our needs.

We loved this hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was huge. We had every facility we needed, including a mini fridge. The location was perfect for us, just minutes from the Mirabel gardens and a 10 min stroll from the old town. We even walked to Shloss Leopoldstrom in half an hour. The staff are amazing. Very accomodating and welcoming. We could not have asked for a better hotel for our stay in Salzburg.

Was not treated like others were being treated. Not served tea or asked like other guests. Chided like a child for picking up a plate from an area in buffet which the server didn’t like ( no signage to reflect that was not the place) . Seemed overwhelmed when asked if food was nut free when all places in the country label food with allergens. This is when the buffet cost $30/ person.
Booked this hotel again for one night without buffet only because of location.
