The Lasserhof is an easy walk from the Salzburg train station and from the old town, which was very convenient. One of our rooms was ready a couple of hours early, which was great so that we could drop off our things and get ready for the day. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, for the most part, though one of our \"triple\" rooms had a cot for the third bed and we had trouble figuring out how to use the shower/bath. The breakfast was a little sparse but fine.

There were spider webs below the table next to the bed. The bed was a joint of 2 single beds where we suffered sleeping as a family with our 3 years old son. Thigs were falling in between them and under the bed was full of dust. The staff was kind, helping, smiling and attending politely any question I had, so I am thanking the staff. Regards.

Bathroom stunk. Lights and fan go on automatically but also shut off a few seconds after you leave, or am sitting on the toilet. Our beds were made but bathroom was not cleaned and dirty glasses were left. breakfast seemed poorly organized. One morning there were no glasses for juice, table tops were poorly wiped and there was a toaster but nothing to put in it. Also not a fan of the lack of sheets on the beds.

Spent 2 nights here while visiting Salzburg. Its in the New Town, an easy walk to Mirabell Palace and the old town. Parking is available for a fee in the underground garage just across the street. The room had an odd layout but manageble for 2 people. Breakfast was okay, usual European fare- selection of cheeses, bread, yogurt and also bacon and scrambled eggs.

This hotel is in a good location and you can reach the old town in 15 minutes walking. We were just in Salzburg for the weekend and the hotel kindly allowed us to drop our bags early and leave the following day so we could explore. The reception staff were super friendly and even helped us with a dinner reservation. The rooms were clean, the only thing I would change is the pillow.

Potentially good, one big problem
The hotel has a decent location and is walkable to most things. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom was an issue. It took at least 5 min of running the water to get hot water and the water pressure wasn't great. The worst issue though was the smell. The consistent wafting sewage smell was awful. Due to that factor I would have selected a different hotel.

Checking in was simple. The room were small but nice with a decent size bathroom. They had breakfast if you chose and a sitting area that could be used. Only negatives were the pillows, flat and very uncomfortable and no sustainable hot water. It was warm.
On more positive notes, 10 minute walk to the HBF and 20 minutes to old town and attractions. Luggage can be stored with no problem if you need that service before check in time or after checkout time.

This hotel is in a pretty good location about 20 minutes to the old town and 5 minutes from the train station. It’s pretty basic with no frills but warm and comfortable.

The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the Alstadt. The staff members very graciously changed our room after our first room had a bathroom toilet in such close proximity to the sink we couldn’t sit straight on it. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Amenities were sparse.

Nice balcony and unique setting. Location is about a 20 min walk to the old town and 5 min walk to the main train station. Rooms were adequate but could improve on overall cleanliness - like sweeping the floor on a daily basis and finding out and addressing what makes the washroom smell stale. Hotel was very convenient to the train station, 20 minute easy walk to old city. There are 5-6 stairs to get to reception and elevator. A few restaurants were within a 5-10 minute walk. Our room was on 1st floor and very small, closet space for hanging was very limited and only 3 hangers. Bathroom was very small as well, very small counter space for toiletries. The shower was a rainfall type and very nice. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were not. The room was very clean. Breakfast was just okay for 14 euro. 2 types of cereal, white bread for toast, croissants, whole fruits, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, orange and apple juice, coffee. The price for the room was good compared to most hotels in Salzburg and it met our needs just fine.

The property is in a residential area of town where it is relatively quiet. It is a very old house that was probably not meant to be a hotel.

It’s a few minutes walk from the train station. Totally walkable to the attractions, even to the Fortress’s cable car station. Only 6-7 minutes walk from the Mirabellplatz. The room is small, reasonably clean and updated.

When checking in I was asked to show a receipt for payment I had made for stay at Lasserhof Salzburg. I opened the Expedia App but this app does not provide a well stated receipt. When I tried to open \"View Receipt\" on the app it would not open. When I opened the \"Payment and Details\" tab this stated what had been paid, but if did not state my name and did not state the hotel's name. Expedia needs to improve its app. It is not good enough to have to comb through different screens to try to piece together this sort of information. A receipt should be one document that states the name of the Payor, name of Payee, what is was for, now much was paid and date of payment. As it was I had to take 3 screen shots and collate these together in an email to Lassehof to provide this information. Expedia needs to sort itself out and stop wasting people's time.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. Once stepped into the hotel, it’s smelly. The worst part was our room with mouldy and dust, heater and hair dryer with dust and green n blue mold. Bathroom ceiling and wall were mouldy too. We asked if there was any room for the second nite to change, of course the answer was NO.

Stayed three nights. Chose for convenient location close to old town and parking, given difficulty to find more central hotels with parking. Whereas we parked in the multi-storey car park across the road the first night (hotel does reduced price tickets = €16, we were able to park the following two nights for free outside the hotel, as it was the weekend (free from 7pm Friday). Front desk welcoming and helpful. Big rooms with high ceilings and balcony. However, pillows were essentially non existent, and the beds were uncomfortable, meaning we found it very difficult to sleep. Note that you need to insert your door key into the air conditioning unit for it to work. Breakfast was ok but the buffet could have done with replenishing more regularly. Be there early if you want a croissant. As we were driving, we managed to see all the non central sound of music locations without doing the four hour+ tour, although best do some research in advance regarding how best to approach each, as not always obvious, plus we were able to take our time at each, including those in the old town.

I booked a twin room for single occupancy but the photo that was displayed on the room details was nothing like the one i actually had. I had a tiny room with a single bed, it was quite smelly (the cushion stank), the wires were showing on the ceiling lamp and the shower tray was cracked. This room should not have been rented as these are H&S hazards.
On the positive note, the hotel is only a short walk from the station and the breakfast is nice, but i would not stay there again. It was a disappointing experience.

Said we didn't have to pay the city tax as a discount, €7 is not an adequate discount for not being able to shower for our entire stay. While initially running the shower, the drain was blocked so it overflowed all over the bathroom.
Asked for new towels as we dried the floor with them, due to the blocked drain. We were given 1 new floor towel rather than all new.
The night staff informed us a plumber had been phoned and they were fixing the problem. Day staff said it was a problem with the local area that there was no hot water (?).

Location is great and all staff are fabulous. Bed is very comfortable. I had a single room (401, I think) and while the sleeping area of the room was fine, the bathroom have a very foul, very strong smell that made me hold my breath every time i was in it. Not a human or bio smell. Bathroom was clean and no visible mold or even shower mildew. But extremely strong mildew smell in the whole room. Had to keep the bathroom door closed and room window open the whole visit to keep the smell out of the room.
