Room was good, but lacking storage space. Bathroom ventilation could be improved as we saw mold in the shower. One additional thing to note is that this is an eco-friendly hotel, so housekeeping did not come by every day to clean room. Breakfast buffet had a really great spread with a lot of different options for my family.

Our room keys were deactivated twice before our official check out time. Staff were able to resolve quickly, but did make it seem like it was my fault before checking in their system to see that they were the ones who input the times wrong.

Staff were great. Room was cute and clean though my shower door had a bit coming off the door but it don’t cause too much of an issue. In a great location near the train station and tram/bus link straight into town if you don't wanna walk the 10 minutes. Would stay again if I’m ever in Salzburg.

I am honestly so frustrated with my stay here. I paid nearly 5-star prices but the hotel didn't even meet 4-star standards. The room was missing basic essentials like a kettle or utensils and I was told I’d have to pay extra if I wanted them. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel in this price range.

The reception setup is a mess. The same person at the counter has to run to the kitchen, make coffee, and handle room requests all at once. Because the staff is also so slow, I had to wait a long time every time I needed to check in or ask for information. The service definitely needs to be improved.

The most unbelievable part was that a 4-star hotel doesn't even have a place to store luggage. They just gave me a website and told me to go find my own storage elsewhere. I have never encountered this before and it was incredibly inconvenient.

Housekeeping was another disaster. You are required to request cleaning a day in advance but even after I did that they failed to clean my room for two out of the three nights. Coming back exhausted to a dirty room with no fresh towels was the last straw. The overall cleanliness was also quite poor just like many other reviews mentioned.

I really wanted to like this place, but I won’t be coming back. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually cares about its guests.

Nice hotel conveniently located for the main station. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Breakfast is great and the best thing about the hotel. One thing I hated was they charge for leaving luggage. Only Eur4 but still ridiculous. I stay in a lot of hotels and this is the first time any have charged for this service.

Hotel was great for a quick stop in Salzburg before catching the train. Staff friendly, clean hotel and comfy room. Quite busy in the morning and wasn’t able to get anywhere to sit for breakfast at 9am which isn’t particularly late. Also wasn’t able to store luggage in the hotel after checkout as they only have a small store room which filled up quickly so had to pay to store in the train station instead.

Hotel was very expensive for what you got. Rooms were not cleaned and you weren’t given fresh towels unless asked. Lighting in room was poor, could hear person in next room in shower & coughing. View was into other flats so had to keep curtains closed at all times. Had to pay extra to check in early, and pay to leave luggage if had they had space, which they didn’t. If no free bottles didn’t get any water. Builders started demolition work nearby at 8am so early morning wake up everyday. Stayed in far better hotels for a lot less. Only good thing was right next to train & bus station. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Hotel Cocoon in Salzburg, nachdem ich bereits mehrfach und sehr zufrieden in München Cocoon übernachtet habe. Die Lage ist wirklich ideal – nur zwei Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt, mit hervorragenden Verbindungen in die Stadt und vielen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Obwohl die Umgebung lebhaft ist, konnte ich überraschend gut schlafen.

Ein ungewöhnliches Detail war der schiefe Spiegelbogen über meinem Bett, der mich etwas beunruhigt hat, da er direkt über meinem Kopf hing. Die Nachtrezeptionistin war zunächst zögerlich bei meiner Bitte um einen Zimmerwechsel, erfüllte diesen Wunsch dann aber trotzig. Im neuen Zimmer funktionierten allerdings einige Lichter nicht.

Ganz anders erlebte ich das Team an der Rezeption beim Ein- und Auschecken sowie die Küche – durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Da ich vegan lebe, habe ich das Frühstück nicht gebucht, deswegen kann ich nicht bewerten. Besonders gut gefallen hat mir das natürliche Ambiente mit singenden Vögeln in den Fluren und den Aufzügen sowie die liebevolle Dekoration mit Pflanzen und die kostenlosen Getränke wie Wasser und Äpfel – ein schönes, erfrischendes Detail.

Ein tolles Extra ist die Gästekarte, die kostenfreie Nutzung des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs ermöglicht – das macht Ausflüge und Stadterkundungen besonders angenehm. Insgesamt war es ein sehr angenehmer erster Aufenthalt, und abgesehen von

I was placed in a Disabled room which smelled.
I went downstairs and said I wished to have the Single Room I had booked. The Manager on the desk said, \"Well it is a single room.\"
No - it was a Disabled room.
I do not understand why hotels treat older, single woman as second class guests. We are the ones that have money, no mortgages AND, if we are made to feel welcome, we spend a lot more in-house (meals, room service etc). The moment Reception treats me badly is the moment I decide to NOT spend another cent IN the Hotel. Which is what I did. I went out for dinner even though your restaurant looked nice.

Very pleased with this hotel with great location just next to Salzburg main station and walking distance to everything local in town.

The hotel is in great condition. I don't recall seeing a single dent! Room was spotless.

Breakfast is of type full-breakfast buffet to decent quality and included in your stay, which makes it a plus.

The hotel offers an early checking opportunity, subject to availability and a fee of EUR20 which i think was great as it gave me acceas to my room as early as 11am.

The only thing I would like to have had done differently was to have a proper double duvet. A single duvet for a double bed is a bit slim. Had I realised this before going to bed I would have asked for a bigger. But this is a small detail and the overall stay is 5/5 stars and in would stay here again.

The only reason I dropped this rating to a 3/5 is because I left my Air Pods in my room and have been trying to reach the hotel to retrieve them and still have not heard back from them via the email I sent. Looks like I will have to call them long distance. I know they were left in the room so am upset that I was not contacted once they were discovered. This is not great service.

This hotel is across from the train station so it’s super convenient. If you arrive early, you can drop your bags and begin your journey. The staff is very kind. I didn’t eat there so I cannot attest to the dining. It’s walkable to old town about 10-15 minutes depending on your pace. The only thing I would say is don’t stay on the street side it’s you hear everything. So not great for a good night’s sleep. But I would stay at the hotel again.

Just a note to share: the hotel is eco-friendly - there is no coffee/tea maker or electric kettle, no minibar in the room. The electric kettle can be found and used in the lobby.

However, rooms are quite compact, probably more suitable for overnight stays rather than 3-4 nights. Some amenities such as tea , coffee making in the room or storing luggage after checkout comes with additional cost and not transparent while booking. Some front staff were less welcoming than others.

Great coffee/breakfast place inside the train station (Costa Coffee). Reception staff help us book a Taxi for a very early morning flight. The room is not cleaned daily so you will need to request that 24 hours in advance.

We stayed here for three wonderful nights while visiting Saltzburg. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable and in a great location for walking to the old town. The attention to detail in the hotel is amazing and the decor and cleanliness is perfect. I didnt want to leave and cannot wait to stay here again.

Six+ stars!!! Cocoon hotel and front desk & dining staff are just wonderful !! The decor is organic boutique on point and aesthetically pleasing !! Love love love the organic theming and all the beautiful plants and terrariums throughout. We always looked forward to and enjoyed the walk from the elevator to our room & vis versa with the peaceful sounds of nature (opps, spoiler alert and if you are a fan of “Severance” def pulling some Sererance vibes, haha in a good way, maybe it’s just me ). Breakfast is amazing full stop; hands down best of our journey; lots of proteins and lighter on the danishes that’s a plus for me and the “Chia parfait” soo delicious! Coffee bar too!! Anyways, fantastically close to the train station making travel easy huge bonus. And if it’s raining they have umbrellas to borrow. Checked all the boxes and then some!! Please open one in the US.

The hotel is very well furnished and designed. The room was small, there was a bench under the TV cabinet and it was useless because it is very narrow to sit in without hitting your head with the shelf. The staff were helpful and cooperative. The hotel did not mention anything about their cleaning policy but when we checked in they told us that they do not clean every day unless we ask the day before. We asked them to clean on the room on our second day but when we came back the floor wa still dirty. They refilled the tissues and replaced the towels, however they placed they just placed the towels in a very clumsy way in the shelf. Moreover, there was no kettle in the room , no tea or coffee. Moreover, there were no drawers in the room, very small space for clothes.
