Well located near bus stops which are free once you get the email on check in. Room is basic with decent sized bathroom. Breakfast is continental but set you up for the day. Room needed decorating.. lot of scuff marks and didnt like that the bed was two singles pushed together! Staff all very friendly

We loved our stay in Salzburg. The area was walkable and the hotel is near two delicious bakeries! We were grateful for the front desk staff and their kindness. They helped us with the public transportation which was wonderful.

Excellent room. Great breakfast…. Only thing is they wanted cash for the city tax. I walked all over the are looking for an ATM. NOPE! found one. Didn’t recognize my card! Uffff … they finally accepted debit card for city tax upon checkout… but I was t going to pay 25€ in Ubers to get 3,50€ in cash!

Everything was fine, the room was clean, spacious, friendly helpful staff.
The only thing that the drain in the bathroom was a little slow, but we only stayed one night so didn’t impact us that much.

I think they’re remodeling the hotel, the elevator does not go to the family rooms so you must walk up a couple long flights of stairs and also to get to the elevator you have to walk down and up stairs. The restaurant was closed. It’s an OK place to stay for the price we needed an inexpensive place to stay, and we were not disappointed a bit dirty and grungy we bought heaters because the room was cold and we froze the first night.

What we did not like: There was a smell in the bathroom coming probably from the drain of the shower. It was an open shower with no door. There was no coffee or even a kettle so we can make our own in the morning.

Friendly staffs and speedy check in and out. The room is spacious and fan was provided during our stay. Its clean and very quiet surrounding. Theres a laundrymart just less than 10mins away from hotel. Opposite the hotel is a bakery and another bakery on the left of hotel. Trasport to most places were assessible. Theres also a supermarket just few mins away from the hotel.

We were happy with our stay there. The hotel is comfortable and clean, the rooms are basic but the bathrooms had modern showers and basins. If you are travelling in August as we were be prepared as not all rooms have air conditioning. The windows open and there is a fan provided. This was fine for us.

Had a great stay at this hotel! Rooms were spacious and clean. We had a nice table with chairs in the room. No AC but with the window at night it was comfortable. Nice beer garden behind the property with good food and atmosphere. Front desk staff were nice and accommodating. Parking was reasonable and easy. Only complaint is the water temperature was all over the place . Sometimes would get hot water, other times cold. Would definitely recommend to stay however and had a lovely 4 night stay.

Lovely hotel a few bus stops from the station...Bus no 2. walkable, laundromat within walking distance and close enough to the river to walk along it in the evenings. Hotel room was great, clean and airy. Definitely recommend. We actually stayed for 3 extra nights and booked through the Salzburg Tourism board which included a 3 day Salzburg Card which allows free transportation on all trams, buses and regional trains and free entry to most museums, the furnicular, cable car to the Unterberg Mountain peak...and absolute must and was a great affordable way to see his beautiful city.

The hotel is an old building and as such kind of quirky(stairways and halls). Our room was quite large, and clean, with a modern bathroom. There is no air conditioning, just a fan in room , so in mid summer it may be hot, and we heard a lot of traffic noise as we had the windows open. Breakfast was typical continental, cereal pastries, bread meat and cheese.
Parking is 15 euros per night extra.
The immediate neighborhood was a little run down, but the good thing is that it is in decent walking distance to the central tourist things.

Just a nice overnight stay in Salzburg to see the city. Great location, easy walking to the historic district where we partook in a beer festival did a tour of the palace. Great time. Hotel has excellent service with large rooms and a great breakfast. Good price as well.

My wife and I stayed three nights. A comfortable hotel, reasonably located for sight seeing, and on a bus route. The window construction does reduce traffic noise, and although no A/C, does have fans. Breakfast was fairly basic for the fee charged.

The reception is not manned after 6pm, and there is a late check in system. We arrived at Salzburg airport at 8pm, and there were no taxis!! Not many flights arrive mid/late evening, so taxi drivers do not frequent the airport regularly. There is a No 2 bus from the airport that passes the hotel about every 20 mins but you need small change to use the ticket machine. The bus driver would not let us pay on the bus. So we waited with another couple for a taxi, which did eventually arrive!! The hotel give you a pass code for the key box situated outside the main hotel entrance door. There are numbered trays with the keys inside. When I inputed the pass code the key tray didn't open. After a few attempts with growing frustration I snatched at the tray after putting in the code and the tray opened. Warning....you literally have about 2 seconds to pull the tray after putting the code in....before it locks again. We had booked a triple room, as twins were not available at time of booking. It turned out that a triple room is called an Apartment by this hotel, which took some time to find. Two rooms, one with double bed, one room with single bed, with kitchenet. Good for a family. A pleasant stay.

The property was very nice and clean. Everyone was very nice at the hotel. The room was spacious and very welcoming. Loved that they had a fan in the room. The location was perfect, not too far way from the train-station or downtown. Really liked that the property had the extra level of security scanning at night through two doors before getting into the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Good restaurant, great breakfast, Long walk to main part of town & didn’t feel comfortable walking the Main Street/immediate neighborhood in later evening or at night. Dirty street and guys hanging out just watching people go by.

It was clean service at front desk was good ,no coffee pot , no iron , no fridge , no AC , people st rest or bar will tell you they are open till 1030 and bar 11 but when you get there before 10 the rest has closed allready , not worth the money they charge

Great except for the busy street

The hotel have a very good restaurant. It is good 1/2 hour walk to the centre, nice promenade along the river. Room was comfortable, clean, but all budget rooms are facing VERY busy street, it's OK if you close the window, but problem if the weather is hot, since the room does not have air-condition, only fan. .

We were in Maria Alm & due to fly back to UK Monday morning but because of adverse weather, we decided to see if we could get a last minute hotel & travel to Salzburg on Sunday for peace of mind. This hotel was basic but very clean & a very reasonable price. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant too.

The hotel is showing some age and wear, especially with facilities and infrastructure. The stairs that must be traversed to a number of rooms will affect older persons or those with some disability/injury especially if there is multiple articles of luggage. The menus did not cater for children's needs or tastes. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Reception and bar area are really nice. Room was fine for a couple nights but basic. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Location was fine with easy access into the city.

The bathroom was a wet room design which is suitable for people with disabilities but drainage was so poor that the entire floor was a puddle which made it very slippery and you ended taking water into the bedroom.

Outstanding boutique hotel with very good walking access to the old city. Very pleasant bar and restaurant - charging 'restaurant prices' not rip-off hotel prices. We selected a family room which was pristine and extremely roomy. Staff, from the housekeeping team to the manager were all extremely accommodating and helpful - and all spoke good English, which made up for my awful German! I really cannot find a bad thing to say about it. I am stretching my brain to think of a criticism and that might be that there were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. Plus - not a criticism, but a fridge in the room would have been great too. Recommended without hesitation - thanks you Lehener team.

Mediocre and total lack of design or concept. Furniture, fixtures and fittings look like they have been sourced second hand and without an overall idea or concept. Dated and stuck back in the seventies with a failed attempt to be cool. Otherwise, looks clean and on the positive side it is convenient for the city centre if you have a car or if you are not in a hurry as walking takes about 30 minutes.

The hotel has its own parking which is convenient if you have a car. If you are last minute and do not have other reasonable options this is OK to spend the night. Everything (including breakfast) seems to be put in place with saving money in mind.

Avoid the so called family rooms. The rest might be better.

The lady at reception who embarassingly i forgot her name was extremely helpful in trying to track down a missing piece of luggage from the train trip. Her service was faultless though unfortunately we didnt find the luggage.
Rooms were confortable small but not too small. No airconditioning but i expect its not normally too hot, it wasnt uncomfortable even though we were their in a heat wave.
Generally cool and homely decor very welcoming i would go back. The highlight was the reception service

The hotel, restaurant and staff were very pleasing but I felt the location let it down. It didn't feel very safe after dark and taxis were hard to come by. Overall we had a lovely time in Salzburg

Service was excellent and all the staff were great. Close enough to everything. The only downside was no air conditioning. Probably not a problem any other time but Europe was suffering everywhere with heat and it was a little too noisy to leave the windows open.
Overall we thought it was good value for money.

Comfy place to stay in Salzburg

We love to walk, so we left our car at the hotel and strolled to the old city where we visited Sound of Music sites and ate dinner. It is a lovely walk along the river. The bakery across the street was perfect for our needs as was the nearby grocery store.

Nice hotel , not far from the center of the city, you will find some Turkish restaurant around, if this is not what you like better eat in city center. Lots of help in the desk for information about what to do and how to get there.

We got a large family room with separate bedroom and two large single beds in the dining/living area. The toilet room smell badly. The wifi connection was extremely poor. The area is a bit rough and out of the beaten path. Overall, the hotel needs some renovation.

Centralt läge men väldigt enkla rum. Halkigt badrumsgolv och ingen duschvägg, vatten på hela golvet och det luktade cigarettrök i badrummet. Bra frukost, parkering samt en trevlig restaurang i anslutning. Med små medel hade rummen kunnnat vara betydligt trevligare.

Det var ok, men ingen superstädning. De var inne och bäddade sängar, men tömde inget skräp..

Men ändå helt ok. Tydlig info av receptionen hur kommunaltrafiken fungerade. Lätt att ta sig till och från centrum.

Centralt och enkelt att hitta. Hotellet hade en trevlig restaurang med mysig uteservering på bakgården. Det blir väldigt varmt på rummet sommartid, ingen AC. Men med hjälp av fläkt som fanns på rummet kunde man vädra ut den varma luften och efter en stund blev det svalare på rummet.
