Very spacious room and bathroom. Hotel is in a nice and quiet residential area. Bus stop is very close. The bed is adjustable, I think that was my favorite part!

Overall a good stay! Place was quite dated and far from major tourist sites but room was clean and a good size. Staff were friendly and we utilized the secure luggage storage. Located in a quiet neighbourhood but limited dining options and amenities nearby. Beds were extremely comfy but we stayed in a triple room and the third bed was only a cot that was extremely dated and not comfortable.

The hotel had a warm Austrian feel. The room was clean and modern. A real perk was the public transportation pass given to us. The train station was about 10 minute walk. And we used the pass to go everywhere on bus and train. It is really a great place to stay.

I liked the style of the place. Everything worked and was comfortable. Also the staff helped with clear instructions for late check-in.
Small issues: 1. They make you pay city tax in cash, which was frustrating if not planned for. 2. the carpets were such that the edges are super hard to clean so the dust was noticeable.

Top find, convenient location.

Lovely hotel just around the corner from the football stadium in a quiet street. Fast and friendly check in and a nice air conditioned room. Breakfast was the best of our multi-hotel road trip, absolutely superb. Will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Salzburg and can recommend without hestitation.

The hotel has a friendly, traditional atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and friendly and answered all questions pleasantly. The rooms were spacious, air conditioned and clean. The decor was a bit dated but I think that added to its charm. We ate at the restaurant next door twice and we had the breakfast, which was lovely, with both hot and cold options available. The hotel can be reached from the train station by bus. The hotel sent us a free public transport voucher before our arrival, so no need to worry about tickets.

I am happy with the room which is equipped with basic kitchen utensils, stove and microwave. Staff are friendly, room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The location of the hotel is also ideal, close to tram, bus and subway stations. I highly recommend this hotel.

Uns hat unser Aufenthalt sehr gefallen, das Hotel ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt von vielen Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Bussen. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und sicher, wir waren sehr positiv überrascht das ein Kühlschrank in dem Zimmer war, gerade an heißen Tagen hat auch die Klima sehr geholfen.

I stayed at Hotel Kohlpeter on a solo leisure trip. I was very impressed with the whole experience. The staff was very courteous, and all were very friendly. I didn’t initially purchase the breakfast option, but I decided to try it, and after the first day, I decided to add it for the next two days. The breakfast area attendant was very friendly, and she made sure to let me know how everything was fresh, and she was correct. It was well worth the extra money spent. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel, the staff, and I would recommend it to anyone who will be staying in the Salzburg area.

Such a great property and experience for me. THE ONLY thing i had the smallest problem with was that, for the single twin room I had, I had to call the front desk to turn on my AC. That may be my american self being a princess. Otherwise amazing and close to the Bus stop

Really nice hotel just outside the city. We walked and used an Uber to get into the city for reasonable cost. Staff friendly and helpful at all times. Shopping centre very close by that you could walk to if you like shopping. All in all would definitely recommend.

Winter long weekend.

This is a delightful small hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Delicious continental breakfast - all very fresh.
The restaurant was very good with the usual Austrian fare available. Used by lots of locals which is a good sign! Remember to reserve a table on Fridays and Saturdays as very busy and the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
Good bus links to the centre from nearby - 20 minutes by bus. 40 minutes walk.

This hotel offers a definitely comfortable and nice stay for a family with all its features like parking, restaurant, ideal room size and cleaning etc.. However what impressed us most is the attitude of helpful staff. They have answered our all questions regarding the city, let us get our room as soon as possible and when in the morning we had a bad surprise with our car's battery, the gentlemen from hotel employee (thank him so so much) and the reception both were so kind to help us till we finally could fix it. We would definitely advice it to everyone that expect good service and a warm hosting from a hotel.

We were a family of 4 (parents plus two teens) staying 2 nights at this hotel in early November. The room that we had was fairly large by European standards, with plenty of space for our considerable luggage. The beds were comfortable. The washroom was a bit small but functional and clean. The wifi worked well and was stable throughout our stay. The hotel staff is very helpful and provides information at check-in without having to ask. The hotel is located on a side street. It has 6 free parking spots at the front. Walking to old Salzburg takes about 30 minutes down a busy commercial street. There is a bakery within a 2-minute walk. Excellent hotel overall.

This was a great hotel. Our room was spacious and we were able to get into the city without any problems. The heating in the bathroom made the room hot so we left the door to our deck open all night and we slept well.They had plenty of parking that was free. The restaurant was very busy in the evening so the service suffered, but the food was still good.

This hotel is located in a residential neighborhood near a main bus line. The very clean bathroom is large with sink and enough counter space to put cosmetics, etc. The restaurant on the property has good Bavarian food and drinks. Hotel Kohlpeter provides a wonderful breakfast!

I was very happy they had a room that would sleep our family of 4. There was a balcony, though not a great view, but that along with other windows, including in the bathroom, allowed for ventilation. There was air conditioning, thankfully! You do have to take a bus to get to the sights. It's about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and busses are fairly easy to navigate. The breakfast and coffee were great! We enjoyed staying here, we recommend it, and we would stay here again. In fact, we hope to!

Amazing hotel, will definitely reccomend and come back to. It's essentially a cute bed and breakfast but quite modern and chic. We were disappointed to leave so soon. Also the food at the restaurant was delicious for a quick snack or full meal.

Family room we had was clean, spacious with comfortable bed, balcony and easy access. The only downside, especially for us being vegetarian, the raw sea food smell coming out of an adjacent kitchen in the reception area was overwhelming. This smell wasn't coming to the rooms though, which was really good.

The hotel is located very close to Salzburg city centre as well as from A10 autobahn.

The hotel is really cute in a quiet area just 10 min drive from the town center. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel with austrian specialties. The staff is very polite and multilingual. The breakfast is generous.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable although would benefit tea and coffee facilities. Could not walk into the city although bus stop was not too far away bus ticket available from hotel at a cost of 3.5 euros for a 24 hour ticket journey time about 15 minutes. If evening meal is required it is best to book as one night we were unable to get a meal. Nearest restaurant is a Chinese about 10 minutes walk the next one is a hotel about 20 minutes away.

What a lovely hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Great relaxed atmosphere. Lovely restaurant, had a really nice meal sat on the terrace. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you want a taste of Austria, you must stay here.

Will not stay here again, this hotel is a joke, it has no parking, you park on the street. You can hear the road noise in the rooms. It is like a Motel 6 where not a whole lot of money has been spend on renovation in years. The breakfast is Just bad. You can find better hotels for a better price.

It is a bit of a drive to the attractions or downtown Salzburg.

A Fine Stay

This was a small friendly hotel off the beaten path. Hard to find location made it a little tough not knowing the area. The check in was quick with no problems. Our room was large (with a balcony) and nice bath facilities. Our \"double\" was two single beds moved together. The morning breakfast was typical European, with breads, great jellies, boiled eggs, meat slices, juice, coffee, cereal and fruit. Other things I cannot remember. The dinner restaurant on site was very fine. The wait staff was excellent, and the food very fine we thought. Make sure you have GPS if you are driving to the old town. It is very confusing to get there. I don't believe local transportation goes by the hotel. Our price was reasonable as well. A good value we thought.
