Nice hotel, but no A/C

Great stay. The breakfast is good and the folks working there are really nice. The only downside is that there is no A/C, so we actually took the mattress out to the patio and slept outside. It was SO hot inside.

Poor service and disappointing

Third stay here and it has worsened each time. Traffic meant that we arrived slightly later than anticipated. We had to go into the restaurant kitchen to hear from a very grumpy staff member that the key to our room was on the reception desk. Service for dinner was equally absent and our drinks were served by fellow customers - clearly regular visitors who were not sober but did their best to help. Despite it being summer season, we appeared to be the only overnight guests as there was only one table set for breakfast. I am pretty sure I know why. This is the last time we stay here.

We had two adjoining rooms. One smelled like cigarettes and I wasn't sure if I could stay the whole night there. The rooms could use some remodeling, but the breakfast area was nicely updated.

Clean. Good location to Salzburg. Friendly staff with a really good breakfast/impressive selection of fresh foods. My kids LOVED the hot chocolate - delicious! Upon checkout they handed us some delicious chocolates to take on our road trip. Kind people. The room was spacious and we were impressed with the view. Bathroom modern and renovated. The rooms need some updating too and the addition of tea/coffee making facilities and a small fridge would really make a better impression and we did miss having these features available. I'm sure they will be following up with room modernization soon enough though. The restaurant was affordable and good home food. YES, we would definitely stay there again. THANK YOU!! :-)

Traditional Austrian Experience

We stayed one night. Overall the hotel and room had a very traditional and authentic Austrian feel which we liked. The staff were eager to help us find our way around town. As well, we were booked for 2 nights but they allowed us off the 2nd night when our plans changed, which was much appreciated. Would recommend expanding the breakfast menu. TV was very small, but you shouldn't be there for that reason anyway.

Had spectacular views from room. Large spacious rooms. Restaurant & bar on site! Food was really good in Restaurant for dinner. There is a bowling alley on site too & we highly recommend playing a game or 4! For one hour of bowling for our family was around 10 euros! Great time! Staff was all friendly.
Breakfast was typical German style & plentiful.
Smoking is permitted in the restaurant & bar, so the whole hotel seemed to smell like cigarettes. Our room was on the top floor and Wifi was spotty for us.
Stores are just up the road, along with a few other options for eating. Salzburg is just a few miles south of the hotel for all the wonderful culture there.
But overall, we loved the hotel & would stay there again!

Good accommodation for touring Salzburg with a car

If there is a car, this hotel is very good for touring Salzbourg. It takes about 20 minutes to go to downtown. However, Wifi is not so satisfactory even though it is free becuase it sometimes stops and disappears.

Great hotel

Very pleasant and comfortable room. Had access to a large patio. Huge room with a dining table and sofa. Great place to have access to Salzburg, Eagles Nest and more. Excellent breakfast. Hotel is family owned and it shows in the great service from all the staff. Would love to stay there again.

Good family hotel for an overnight while traveling

This hotel provides a good value for the price. It is particularly beneficial for large families. We obtained a large room with 1.5 bathrooms and seven beds for about 180 euros. As a family of six with mostly small children, this hotel provided a reasonable price in a safe are, with free parking and an Italian restaurant co-located on the property. Italian food tends to be popular with kids. Combined with Austrian beer, it has something for parents too.

Happy stay at Graml Hotel.

We came here thinking this was a hotel in town and found out it was out of the city limits even though it said to be about a few miles from city center. Regardless to it, we enjoyed greatly the bucolic scenery and the view of the Apls. Breakfast was really good and pleasantly served with real plates and utensils instead of disposables. Tables even had the number of out room on it. Hotel staff was really nice and helpful specially Silvia, the co-owner. Rooms and furniture could use a little update.

Stopped over for a night in transit, nice little hotel with a small and friendly staff. Attached restaurant and separate Pizzeria. We had dinner in the Pizzeria and it was good, nothing amazing but also not outrageous. Good price. Typical German hotel buffet breakfast and good WiFi.

Not sure why it has such bad reviews

When booking this hotel I was a bit nervous due to all the terrible reviews the hotel got. However we ere pleasantly surprised when arriving. Its a little outside the city but there is a direct bus that takes you to city center and train station, about 2,30 euro each way. Not bad at all! The front desk lady was extremely nice and helpful with all the tourist questions and info we asked about, breakfast was the normal european style, very good. Our room was nice, the only couple downsides I would comment about was it was a bit hot on the top floor, but we just kept our balcony door open and upon arriving we found hair all our bathroom floor and towels.. other then that it was great! I would recommend this hotel to family and friends

Comfortable stay

Plenty of room for family travel. A little loud due to kids running the halls, but that's parent issue, not a hotel issue. Breakfast was very good. Relaxed environment. Short drive into Salzburg. WiFi limited to lobby area. Expanding WiFi would be our only suggestion.

Horrible experience, Don't stay there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stayed 2 nights and it was a disaster. First night 20 teenagers stay in the top floor, they jumped and screamed all night long and played in the hallways, no managers after 9:00 pm so NOT very helpful . Second night, a crazy party at a club behind the hotel had the music at full blast. No sleep for the 2 nights..... Avoid this hotel, your savings in this hotel are not worth it !!!!!
Dog fees are 20 Euro, they are not in the policy hotel.

Hotel Not What It Appears To Be

This should not be listed as a three star hotel. Rooms were noisey and old. There was mold on the shower curtain. The staff glared and grunted their responses to questions posed. This is not a good option for stay outside of Salzburg for a holiday or sightseeing. The hotel is located right next to a very loud local roadway and the freeway, The hotel advertises a \"balconey\" with the room. The balcony is primarily for smoking and overlooks the road. The expedia ad gives one the impression that the hotel is quaint and picturesque. It is neither. The breakfast was okay, This hotel is overpriced for what you get.

Unbearably loud and hot

We were extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. It was above 90 degrees F the day we stayed and the hotel had no air conditioning or fans in the room. The rooms along the front of the hotel are hit by heavy road noise throughout the night. The only way the room was bearable temperature-wise during the night was to leave the door to the balcony wide open, which allowed all the continuous road noise in; closing the door and the room was far too hot.

put of the way

it was nice place, except íi didn't tell you that there are stables under the rooms. You can hear the horses and smell them as well. Not much of a view from the room, but once outside, you see the beautiful mountains. The place was clean and we had a washer and dryer which came in handy.

Its sometimes better to be away from the city and drive out to your hotel in the mountains where the local people live. just be carefull with buses itinarary since sometimes after evening they wont take you there and a cab is much more pricy.

Das Haus eignet sich sicherlich für einen Kurzaufenthalt; für einen längeren Urlaub würde ich es eher nicht in Betracht ziehen. Die (neuen) Eigentümer/Pächter sind einigermaßen bemüht, der Frühstücksraum wurde neu gestaltet, das Frühstücksangebot entspricht dem üblichen Standard (Kaffee ist ausgezeichnet!), unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, auch ruhig (da nicht straßenseitig gelegen), aber natürlich merkt man ihm sein Alter an.

Brugte hotellet som udgangspunkt for et 3 dages ophold i Salzburg. Eneste minus ved det værelse vi havde var, at det er fra engang i 80’ne. Dog rent og pænt. Men man skal stå i badekarret for at benytte bruseren og stidig slås man med bruseforhænget som klæber til en.
Wifi er gratis men rækker ikke inde på værelset.
Busser direkte til centrum der holder lige uden for hotellet, så man slipper for parkeringskaos. Den Italienske restaurant som hører til hotellet er absolut et besøg værd. Fantastisk mad og betjening til en meget fornuftig pris.
Vi var 2 voksne og 2 teens på 15 og 16 kommer helt sikkert der igen hvis turen går forbi Salzburg en anden gang.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed three nights in this hotel and we were extremely disappointed with this hotel.

The cons: the bathroom was not cleaned once during our stay (mirrors, sink, floor, bathtub, shower) also no one ever cleaned the toilets. The room and bathroom is very basic with old furniture. The walls are very dirty and the TV was terrible. The floor was very dirty and not vacuumed once during our stay. The breakfast is very basic. We also had very noisy Italian guests and they took over the hotel.

The pros: if you close your eyes and can dream of a beautiful hotel this is the place to go!

Location in a quiet town near Salsburg

I travel with family of 4. I cannot find suitable accomodation in Salsburg so I choose this hotel. I travel by car so there is no difficulties in travelling around Salsburg and Halstatt area. The hotel provides free parking. It is a family run hotel. The buffet breakfast is simple but enough. The host always gave extra hot chocolate to all the children in the restaurant. One drawback is there is no coin laundry so I need to find laundry service in Salsburg.

We enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is very traditional, cozy and nicely decorated.
Rooms were very clean and spacious, offered fast Wi-Fi, the furniture is made out of solid wood which promises high quality. The area was nice and quiet. In the garden was enough space for the kids to play soccer. All in all we recommend to stay here: Great hospitality and good location(close to Salzburg)

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders das eingegliederte italienische Restaurant war gut geführt und bietet qualitativ hochwertige und leckere Speisen. Das Zimmer war geräumig, die Betten gemütlich und die Badewanne ein erfreuliches Extra. Das Frühstück enthielt alles, was dazu gehört. Der Preis war gerade noch angemessen.

Freundliches Familienhotel, Busstation genau vor der Tür,mit dem man ins sehenswerte Salzburg kommt. Kostenfreie Parkplätze, fantastische Aussicht ins Grüne mit großem Balkon. beim Frühstück hätte ich mir ein Rührei - aber ich denke, da hätte ich nur mal Fragen brauchen - dieses Hotel empfehle ich hiermit jedem!!!! Choosing sides is important\n

The hotel is on a busy street and the noise from the trucks kept us up. This probably isn't a problem if you are located on the opposite side or during the winter when the windows are shut.

The staff also did not offer the least bit of advice on the locality except for the presence of one nearby restaurant, so we had to stumble across things we were interested in.

The room was large but the toilet was also problematic because, and this is rather disturbing if not thoroughly gross, the drain was in the front instead of in the back. It is a problem to have find your morning waste beneath you in a pile that resists continued flushing. Sorry for that, but it's unfortunately true.

Hotellet var rimeligt men ikke prangende. Værelset var ok dog lidt slidt efterhånden. Fint restaurant på hotellet og en keglebane - dog af ældre dato. Gratis parkering og busser til centrum lige uden for døren. Desværre en del trafikstøj fra vejen, da manglende aircondition gjorde det nødvendigt at have vindue åbent om natten.

Hotellet er under restaurering og der var malere, maling og håndværkere på store dele af hotellet. Elevatoren lugtede af tis og der var ikke sæbe fyldt i dispensorne eller salt i saltbøsserne.. Måske det bliver godt engang- morgenmadslokalet var meget fint og restaureret

Posizione ideale per Salisburgo

La posizione dell'albergo è l'ideale per visitare Salisburgo senza soggiornare in centro città.
La camera è comoda, pulita e confortevole. L'unica pecca la mancanza dell'aria condizionata.
La colazione è ottima e abbondante.
Il wifi funziona ma solo alla reception.

15 minuti dal centro di Salisburgo

Berghof Graml si trova su una strada importante (Wiener strasse) a Salisburgo a 5 minuti dall'autostrada Salisburgo - Vienna. E' un grazioso hotel con annesso ristorante italiano senza infamia e senza lode, ma comodo per chi arriva tardi la sera e non ha voglia di spostarsi in centro.
La stanza che abbiamo utilizzato, ampia, comprendeva un letto matrimoniale e due letti singoli. A parte i piumoni sintetici che ad agosto sono pesanti, il letto era comodo. La colazione compresa nel prezzo era a buffet dolce/salato con diverse possibilità e senza limiti.
Il personale, ad iniziare dalla signora che ci ha accolti, molto gentile e disponibile.
La signora ci ha consigliato di spostarci in bus in quanto (ce ne eravamo accorti) il traffico è spesso intenso. Inoltre sulla via di accesso a Salisburgo dall'albergo, in questi giorni ci sono degli lavori stradali.
Complessivamente positivo.

Buon appoggio per visitare Salisburgo

Albergo sito poco fuori Salisburgo e facilmente raggiungibile dal centro città con i mezzi pubblici (fermata autobus proprio di fronte all'hotel).
Camera famigliare abbastanza ampia, letti comodi(riordinata ogni mattina) balcone comunicante con le altre camere (con 2 bimbi piccoli un po' un problema) colazione a buffet senza troppe pretese. Personale alla reception disponibile. Hanno una pizzeria ed un piccolo bowling. Parcheggio privato non custodito.
