Was quiet clean and breakfast in hotel is much better than McDonald's next door.
Nothing apart from McDonald's here. Otherwise good value for money as accommodation is Salzburg is expensive. Served our requirements.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Salzburg and its nearby attractions; mainly because it is so accessible via public transportation - a bus top just outside the hotel where you can take #21 bus directly to city center (23 minutes ride). The hotel is modern, room space is adequate, and beds are comfy, staffs are helpful and courteous. An added bonus is a McDonald right next door. I will definitely stay here again in the future

The hotel and services were cool. The breakfast was ok but on Saturday there was a loud music in club downstairs up until deep night.
Next day I reported the incovenience cauaed. The staff member offered us an upgrade in room service. In a new room on 3rd floor there was no issue with noise and it was more spacious as well.

Regarding the hotel location it is basically sides of a huge road.
Having Mc Donald's near hotel is a huge plus and a bus stop as well. Just be aware of this.
The windows are food, no road noise was heard inside rooms.

Overall good stay, would be 5 stars if no the noise issue on the first day.

My wife and I booked two nights after our three country tour. We travelled by train. However, we realised the location of this hotel at booking as being more appropriate for car travel, but due to availability booked.
The hotel is good, very clean and despite traffic, is very quiet. The reception is on the first floor by external steps. There is a lift. Good breakfast and very helpful reception. The room doors have keypad access for security. Wifi excellent. AC very effective and controllable.

The hotel is walkable to the train station, once you have identified how to cross the traffic. There is a 21 bus which stops directly outside and a 23 bus which stops at Maxstrasse. If you get a 23 bus, you need to locate a dead end road called Landstrasse, where there is an underpass under the railway, which leads to the hotel. There are other underpasses to get into the town.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay! The room was nice and clean and I loved that they had a buffet breakfast and that was very convenient and delicious!!!
The buses into the main city were easy to ride on with a stop right in front of the hotel!
If I could change anything at all, it would be to add a couple more dining options for dinner. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!!! And very affordable!!!!!

The front desk staff are very helpful especially the young blonde guy who assisted us after we arrived. He gave us all the necessary infos we require to explore the city. The room is reasonably clean and spacious. The location is absolutely fantastic. Mc Donald next door & a pub. Not to mention the bus stop right in-front of the hotel. Location of hotel and price made us select this hotel for our visit to Salzburg. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel with easy access to the city on a short bus ride. The hotel desk will provide you with a schedule and explain where to get off to visit the main attractions. You can also purchase the Salzburg card from the lobby if you so desire. The room was basic and outdated but did the job since we spent the majority of the time in the city. Don’t forget to purchase a vignette when you cross the border at the gas station or risk being fined if caught driving without it.

I had filled in all the details already when booking the room, and then had to fill out a lot of these details again during check in. Complained the second night another nice lady switched the room without questioned Veriria, while the earlier front desk lady didnt follow up. Again I got what I paid for. A drab hotel on the edge of the highway, with a good bus link to city centre. The hotel is located immediately off the highway & has limited parking. It is far out of the city if you don't have your own transport but there is a decent direct bus to the city centre that costs €2.70 each way.
The hotel is an IBIS so you don't expect fancy but it is very down-at-heel. The rooms are large but desperately need an upgrade....old carpets, scuffed walls, and no ambiance. The wardrobe was a joke, tiny with very little room to hang our heavy biker jackets let alone a normal travellers jackets, coats etc. No reason for this as there was plenty of room! For some reason our duvet was laid sideways on the bed so our feet stuck out the bottom! We found a second duvet in a bag so used them in the Austrian way.
Breakfast was a basic continental but plentiful, if not fancy. There is a small bar area The staff were friendly & helpful but unless some love is put in to the hotel I won't be staying there again.

If your looking for a basic room without a lot of amenities, this may meet your needs. The breakfast buffet was nice and the hotel was generally clean. Although the staff was helpful with information tourists are likely to ask they were a bit slavish to the check in time. I believe it's better customer service to allow a customer to check in early if the room is available. Taking the city bus into town and back was surprisingly hassle free and much less expensive than taking a taxi.

Good hotel for the price (especially since I didn't book in advance this time). The hotel is ~20 minutes away from the main station, but still in the center zone. Overall, it looks good and new but unfortunately it was very noisy in the floor in the morning (~6am) and I find some hairs in one of the towels, which gave me a bad impression.

An OK option at Salzburg outskirts. You MUST take a bus to get to the center of the action. However, the bus stop is right infront of the hotel so that is easy. If you don't like to take public transportation, this could be a problem. However, we found the bus system easy to navigate, so I would not let that prevent you from using the hotel.

Staff was responsive and helpful.

Room was OK. The air condition though was barely passable. This could be a problem for some folks.

There's a night club on the first floor. Because we were there on the night before a holiday the club was crowded and we could hear the music which played until 12:30 or so. We called the front desk and they offered to move us but the only available room was the one next door which wouldn't have made a difference.
We complained to the front desk and they recognized this as an issue but because we booked through Hotels.com we were not able to reduce or refund a portion of our rate.

The price we paid is value for money.

The location eventhough is north of Town but is accesible by bus 21. The fare is only 2.3 euro. It is free if you buy Hop On Hop off ticket.
We have our breakfast at McDonald next door. It has nice coffee.
Parking is free and available many space.
The room is clean & spacious by my standard. It has lift to your room.

The price of the hotel is very reasonable for Salzburg; in fact even if you take four taxi rides from/to the hotel, you can still probably save money on the hotel. The hotel itself is adequate: has wifi, has air conditioning, quite room. Not many hotels in Salzburg can actually satisfy all of those criteria even at a higher price.

We were told on our day of arrival that, if we booked a taxi, we would have a 5 minute wait. However, when we came to order a taxi in order to catch our train (an hour before our train was due) we were told we would be waiting 15 minutes. This was not the case, and we ended up missing our train! Even more shockingly, this was at 5.30am and the taxi never showed! We were made to make other transport arrangements to the station!

A hotel worth considering

The hotel was pretty pleasant. Not situated in the heart of Salzburg but there is a public bus that will take you to town within minutes right outside the hotel. The only drawback is that wifi cannot be accessed from the room but only at the lobby, which I felt was inconvenient. Hotel staff was great and helpful.

It does what it says. No more though. Fells like a budget place.
I'd say it's rather on the lower end in comparison to other hotels of the ibis chain.
Nonethelesss, I would probably stay there again since everything else in Salzburg seems quite pricy.
If you want to walk there from the train station make sure you have an accurate and detailed map. The direct road to it leads on to a motorway so you can't walk on the side of it. You'll either have to take a small raod along camping ground panorama, or take a small underpassage for pedesestrians and cyclistst only which is close to Spar supermarket (that's close by to the hotel).
If you're in need for lunch or dinner try, \"Zum Guten Hirten\" which is close by, very tasty with large portions and much cheaper than the restaurants in city centre.

I booked this hotel after reading the positive reviews but I was highly disappointed by the condition of our room. Our beds (both of them) was full of hair and there was cut nails all around. The toilet was filthy and stinky. I wouldn't recommend to any family. For budget travelers, a hostel might do better.

Das Personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit.
Nach einem guten Frühstück (reichhaltiges Angebot) kann man den Tag dann starten. Die Servicekräfte sorgen ständig für Sauberkeit und Nachschub.
Das Benehmen einiger Gäste ist erschreckend !!
Da werden die Teller mit Essen vollgeladen, am Ende bleibt die Hälfte davon am völlig verdreckten Tisch zurück. (Geschirr selbst abräumen... undenkbar)
Wenn ich in einem anderen Land Urlaub mache, muss ich mein Benehmen dementsprechend anpassen. Lautstarke Unterhaltungen am Handy stören die anderen Gäste und sollten außerhalb des Frühstückraums geführt werden. (eigentlich völlig normal)
Das kostenlose Ticket für den Nahverkehr find ich sehr positiv.
Ein kleiner Hinweis, ein Schuhlöffel im Zimmer wäre schön.
Bestimmt war das nicht mein letzter Aufenthalt bei Ihnen.

Wir waren drei Personen und hatten zwei Zimmer. Eines im Blick auf Innenhof,das andere Richtung Berg bzw. Parkplatz. War OK. Das Hotel war sauber und das ganze Personal war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Frühstück war lecker und die Dame die für das Buffet zuständig war,hat sich hervorragend um alles gekümmert,es hat an nichts gefehlt und sie hatte stets einen Blick auf die Sauberkeit. Super. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist der Eingangsbereich, außerhalb des Hotels. Die Treppe bzw.der Aufgang gehörte Mal ordentlich geputzt.Der erste Eindruck zählt viel, deshalb ein Punkt abzug.Aber wir kommen doch gerne wieder .
