The hotel is wonderful overall; however, some rooms—specifically the one I stayed in, room 402—have a very low ceiling next to the bed. This poses a safety concern, as there is a high risk of hitting one’s head when getting up. Additionally, the shower is particularly cramped and uncomfortable.

We stayed at Schloss Fuschl during a recent trip in July to Germany and Austria. This hotel was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. The property and lakefront location are gorgeous and the service is impeccable. We travel extensively and would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling in and around Salzburg or the Salzkammergut region.

The property and staff are amazing. Beautiful accommodations and setting. You can rent small boats, eat on the terraces (menu and food is great), visit the fishery on the property for fresh, smoked fish. They have new house cars to take you to nearby restaurants for dinner. The spa, indoor pool, and facilities are modern. A nice clothing and home store on property. The bar stayed open late to accommodate us after the opera.

Luxurious stay - quite and peaceful resort

Ours was a week long stay celebrating my wife's birthday and much needed relaxing break.
Schloss Fuscl is part of thw Luxury Collection and rated a SPG category 7 hotel for a reason.

The resort is set near Lake Fuscl that provides a Jetty and lake view front with water activities.
The guest services team ensured I could give my missus a birthday surprise - special thanks to Victoria (hope i got the name correct:) who came down with cake and flowers for our midnight surprise.
My wife was totally floored with the resort setting, the spa facilities and the care provided by the team - from Reception desk, Restaurant team to Room Services.
One of most memorable holidays we ever had.

Even the care they took for my little daughter with her bed made up, her small cute gown and slippers are ready for her with a welcome GugelHupf (Ring cake) :).

Heartiest thanks to the great team at Schloss Fuscl :) Highly recommended for family or couples.

Room was very nice: clean, comfortable. Shower could be better. Deluxe rooms have only a single lavatory in the bathroom.

In general the staff is very helpful, young, and attractive. Exception may be certain dining personal, who give attitude.

The dining experience here is a disappointment. The least ambitious food is the best choice (e.g., Wiener Schnitzel); the tasting menus are highly expensive, unexpectedly bland, and not especially good, with uninteresting wine pairings. (Other restaurants in the Salzburg and Hof area are much better. Consult the Michelin Guide.) Since this is a hotel favored by the rich, and sometimes the famous, you may find yourself delegated to an undesirable dining table, with families with small children sitting nearby. There are lots of families in this resort hotel. Protests (and tips) were ineffective--you are simply told: the other tables have already been reserved. This happened to us three separate (pre-reserved) evenings.

Breakfast is good and pleasant. Helpful concierge too. Free parking.

Although large, the hotel does have charm. The painting collection that adorns the walls is quite fine, and the views of the Fuschlsee are drop-dead beautiful. The Empress Sissi artifacts are nostalgic, in two little museum rooms. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

On our girls trip to England and Austria this was by far our most luxurious and best stay. The only thing better than the morning breakfast was the morning breakfast view. Absolutely stunning. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was our best meal of the trip. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The pool and sauna area were wonderful. Will definetly try and come again.

Amazing staff. Luxurious hotel. Free parking. Spacious room with a nice view of lake Fuschl (Grand Deluxe Room) if you can afford an upgrade definitely go with it. Spa facilities are a must try, they have an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam room, as well as massage therapy. Dining is expensive as expected in such places. In short it was a great experience to stay in this castle if you have the opportunity to spend a couple of days here don't miss it.

FABULOUS HOTEL/SPA. EAT DINNER ELSEWHERE!

Beautiful place in a scenic setting. Spa was wonderful. We were very disappointed in the quality of the restaurant. The most expensive meal of our 8 day vacation, and the most uninspired. Not one of the 4 of us enjoyed our meal. The fish was unseasoned - bland and tasteless. Considering the price, we expected the food to be special, but it was not.
Other complaint -- 5 Euros for a cup of coffee at the jetty and 4.5Euros for a bottle of water on the electric boat, which when offered to us, no one mentioned the cost. It just seemed petty.

Wonderful Resort Hotel on Pristine Lake

The hotel itself was formerly a hunting lodge used by the well-off in Salzburg, so it is full of history. The lake is pristine; rooms are luxurious; the staff are impeccable; spa is also very pleasing. Location is about 30 minutes from Salzburg, and there is really nowhere to eat other than the restaurant in the hotel. This is probably the only downside.

Beautiful hotel and stunning scenery

The Schloss is on the edge of the lake, in which you can swim from its decking 'beach'. We walked around the lake in a few hours, stopping half way at the little town of Fuschl Am See on the other side of the lake. The surrounding scenery is second to none - spectacular. The hotel is luxuriously comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are polite and courteous and really seem to want to do their very best for their clients. This is an expensive place to stay but worth every penny as you come away feeling as though you have had a totally relaxing experience.

Great hotel for a special occassion

This is a great hotel if you are celebrating a special occasion, like we were (our honeymoon). The hotel service is top notch. We were greeted with champagne at check-in and the hotel arranged a big heart made of pedals on our bed to welcome us for our honeymoon. We really loved the breakfast, which was like no other I have experienced before. The selection and quality of breakfast items were delicious. You could order your eggs a la carte (omelettes, scrambled, Benedict, etc.) or you could select from a buffet style selection. Their honey, as an example, was the purest we have tried. Everything was fresh and beyond our expectations. Of course, this hotel is in a different price range so it is unfair to compare to the service and quality of a $100 per night hotel, which there were plenty of those in Salzburg. So, if you can afford this hotel, go for it. Worthy for a special occasion. I wouldn't stay here otherwise since we do not spend a lot of time on the property.

The views from the hotel are great, nice place to stay if you want to be by the lake and mountains. The bathroom is small but has all the luxury amenties. The food is very good. The free wifi, valet service and breakfast are all and added bonus.

Amazingly Beautiful & Romantic

A beautiful hotel in an exquisite location. The room was amazing and the staff very welcoming and eager to help. It was snowy when we were there and the hotel was lovely and warm and welcoming after a walk around the lake. The surroundings are really beautiful whatever the weather. Lovely extra touches like welcome cookies and christmas treats. The location is remote if you have no car but we used the transfer services booked through the hotel and were very impressed with the comfort and organisation, all credit to the concierge team for their helpfulness. A true spot of luxury after a few days of exploring Salzburg. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was very nice however it is a la carte so may not suit all. Overall a luxurious and memorable stay, I would recommend to those wanting to treat themselves to a relaxing, picturesque stay in a high class hotel, can't fault their service and consideration for the guests.

My third time at the Schloss hotel and it just gets better. Absolute paradise! Like a fairytale castle and my mother and I were treated like royalty. I have travelled the world and this is my favourite hotel ever. The service is second to none, the food amazing, the breakfast is to die for. We were picked up the wonderful, wondefuful chauffeur Richard in his \"Old Timer \"Rolls Royce and drank cool pink champagne driving through the mountains. Absolute bliss. The room was out of this world with our own terrace, comfortable chairs and an amazing view of the lake. I cried buckets when leaving the hotel as I always do so will most definitely be returning again: already planning the next excuse to go!!!

We were looking for somewhere special to stay near Salzburg. Well, you couldn't get any more special than this - a luxurious resort on a lovely mountain lake. It was like camp for pampered adults. The lake was beautiful, and our hotel room was exceptionally elegant. The staff could not have been more helpful. I only wish we'd had more time to spend there.

Hotel Schloss Fuschl is situated on an idyllic lake in the foothills of the Alps. It is a perfect location for walking and sightseeing. Neighbouring Salzburg and the smaller towns in the area are easily reached by bus or car. The hotel is a resort hotel with well appointed spa, pool and wonderfully landscaped grounds with many sitting out areas for good weather. The rooms are sumptuous, the staff terrific and the food out of this world. I cannot recommend Schloss Fuschl highly enough.

You can't beat the hotel's location right on lake Fuschl, only 12 miles from Salzburg. At the end of Sept, with few tourists, sitting on the terrace and gazing at the lake and background mountains is serene and meditative. Our room (and I think all the rooms) were recently renovated so the feeling is less like a castle and more like a high end modern hotel. The deluxe room we had was much smaller than I expected, packed with furniture and a very comfortable bed. Lighting in the bathroom could have been better but was \"all right\". In today's modern design, windows seem to go between the bathroom and the rest of the room so there's a loss of privacy, although this designer was smart enough to put in a sliding panel to cover the window if you want. The spa is spacious, with nice setups for massages and resting areas. Staff is friendly and upbeat.

Special family occasion with party of nine. Never before evperienced such a combination of stunning location, fabulous hotel and first class service from incredibly helpful staff. This kind of experience is not cheap so be prepared, though all of our party felt they had good value. 18km out of Salzburg so a hire car is an advantage although hotel provides a free shuttle bus. Would love to return one day.

Ja estivemos antes do Schloss ser incorporado a rede Rosewood que fez algumas mudanças. Tem agora 1 piscina externa bem interessante. O spa é muito confortável, com várias saunas e piscina interna (já havia antes da reforma) e uma boa academia.
Café da manhã excelente. Lago com muitas espreguiçadeiras e serviços de suporte muito bons, inclusive bebidas e comidas.
Pontos negativos:
Alguns funcionários muito despreparados. Várias vezes tivemos que solicitar a arrumação do quarto que já deveria ter sido feita.
Quarto com sistema de iluminação confuso e que apresentou falha elétrica, ficando alguns quartos (o nosso inclusive) sem opções de ligar secador de cabelo e luzes do banheiro. Mesmo após a vinda do eletricista a confusão para ligar as luzes persistiu. Meu relógio Apple Watch não recebia toda a carga devido a inconsistência da rede elétrica.
A permanência de animais - cães - no deck do lago é muito desconfortável. Alguns hóspedes inclusive colocam os animais nas escadas de acessibilidade do deck para o lago, apesar do aviso que a permanência de animais ali não é permitida. Os funcionários não tomam as providências para retirada desses animais a não ser quando fazemos reclamação.
Em síntese: esta faltando gestão que anteriormente era muito cautelosa. Desse jeito a 5a estrela desceu pelo ralo.

Our stay at Schlosshotel Fuschl was pleasant, but it fell far short of the high expectations set by the exorbitant prices.

The first and most glaring issue is the lack of language training for the staff. A significant portion of the personnel does not speak German, which is surprising for a luxury hotel in Austria. While it’s not an issue for seasoned travelers who also speak English, many staff members struggle with even basic English – an unacceptable shortcoming for a hotel of this category.

The hotel itself is not bad: many design elements are well thought out and visually appealing. However, a closer look reveals issues such as dust under carpets, heavily calcified showerheads, and other signs of cost-cutting that undermine the luxury experience.

Compared to similar establishments in Bavaria, such as Elmau or those at Tegernsee, the Schlosshotel lacks warmth and the higher standard of quality one might expect. The atmosphere feels less personal, likely due to its affiliation with an international hotel chain.

The majority of guests were from China and the USA, a clientele for whom the price-to-quality ratio might seem less critical.

In summary, while our stay had a few bright moments, it was overshadowed by significant flaws. The prices charged are simply not justified by the overall experience.

The hotel itself is a true gem, set in a location that can only be described as magical. Lake Fuschl, surrounded by majestic mountains and breathtaking natural scenery, creates a fairytale-like setting.

The architectural details, impeccable décor, and thoughtful touches in every corner of the space create an atmosphere that is both cozy and sophisticated.

The **gastronomic experience** was another highlight of my stay. The restaurants offer menus that celebrate local cuisine with modern twists, using fresh and high-quality ingredients. Every meal was a sensory experience, and the service was flawless
