It is a youth hostel, not a hotel, as advertised by Expedia. The beds had bugs, tons of bugs. We had to run away asap and we spent the night in the car. Other people were sleeping in their cars, too. That hostel ruined our vacation.

Away From the City Center (2 miles) but still

Very large hostel, clean, about 2 miles from main Salzburg attractions but walkable. No lift. Affordable for Salzburg in the summer. All of the receptionists were very helpful, especially in finding me an accomodation for an extra night at one of their sister hostels when everything else in the area at a reasonable price was sold out.

You can walk to the city center but it will take approx. 40 minutes...the area seems very safe but the streets become empty after 8pm or so around the hostel neighborhood. Taxis are lightning quick, you can have rhe receptionist call you one and they should be there in about 5 minutes. Breakfast was average with good coffee.

The staffs in reception were nice and helpful. But I found some kind of bugs that probably come out of bed or bedstead. I didn’t buy WiFi service because WiFi was not able to be connected from my room. Overall, the price was a little bit high compared to other Germany hostels which I stayed.

Amazing staff, waited up until 2am for us to check in when our bus was late, even though reception closes at midnight. So lovely. Cheaper option for expensive Salzburg. Little bit out of the town centre but bus stop is 7 min walk away and takes 10 min to get into town. Would recommend.

Basic room, far from town, good coffee, bad wifi

Basic accommodation good for backpackers. Only book this place if the price is significantly less than other options. Not close to town (40 minute walk) so make sure you have a car or a bike. Map provided at the front desk. Wifi does NOT work in the rooms, only in the lobby. Breakfast was included, so that was nice. The coffee/cappuccino machine in the breakfast room was awesome. Breakfast included some cereals and breads, fruit cocktail (like from a can, not very good), and a random selection of deli meats and cheeses and sliced veggies that seemed better suited for lunch, so I made a sandwich to go, which was nice.

Comfortable and Good Location

There is a tram stop about 4mins away and then it is a 5minute walking distance from that ( not too hard to find) use \"maps me\" app! Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi available in the reception area which is good, plenty of comfy seats and to there. Brad and bedding really comfy, room really clean and quiet location, which as a couple we enjoyed!
Trains are very handy to get about in and dropped us off in the city town parts and were easy to use and see all the sights, about 10 min tram to town centre, shops nearby, we had no trouble here. We had a private room with 4 single beds for us (a couple) which didn't bother us too much. Sinks in room, however shared bathroom, which was always very clean, would reccomend for interailing, couples, groups ect.

Far from city central

It was far and hard to go there after sightseeing in the city.
You Should take bus.
In my case, many children stayed here and they were very noisy, but it is depends on guest.
I stayed in a room for 6 girls.
My bed was single, but mine was stuck to another single bed, so it was like one double bed.(2 single, 2 double-deck are there)
I satisfied with breakfast because we don't have to pay extra fee for buffet.

A nice family hostel in the suburb of Salzburg

The location is away from the city center but very quiet. It is first class for a hostel, modern and clean. The buffet breakfast is very good. There are all ages, from school children to seniors and families with children. One negative is the wi-fi slow and unreliable. It took me a long and many attempts to book my next hostel.

The location is a bit out of the way,but is near a bus stop so it isn't a problem. It's clean, has a laundry and a nice breakfast.

Just too far away from everything

The positives - a nice 4 bed room, comfy beds, relaxed atmosphere. BUT - there is little care shown here. No soap in the shared bathrooms, no bathmats so you slip and slide, bathroom doors that bang loudly when they shut (kept me awake but luckily not my kids and husband). I didn't order breakfast but it was included anyway at 6 euros each (including the kids). This wasn't much less than some of the 'nice' hotels we stayed in but the food was not great - cheap versions of stuff, no variety (maybe by then I was already in a negative mood) The staff seemed nice but everything took ages, and they told me it would be 40 euros to get a taxi to the airport which put me off. Luckily I asked a taxi driver before embarking on a complicated bus journey and it was 20 euros. I asked for a taxi to be booked the night before we left and the receptionist agreed. In the morning when I checked it had been done the (different) receptionist told me you can't book taxis in advance. All just a bit confusing and frustrating. But the big negative for us was the distance from the centre. Not only that, but the local area has no cafes or atmosphere, it is soulless. It was boiling and we had to traipse our exhausted kids back on the bus to town for an ice cream (bus stop is a 10 minute walk). Oh, and we couldn't open the window as there were giant hornets coming in! I think this place might be OK for young single people who want a cheap dorm (although there are no cooking facilities) but not for us.

Way out of the way

If you want to see Salzburg, stay elsewhere - particularly if you have a short trip. If you are staying awhile and can be disciplined about the buses, only then stay here. Rooms were clean, but no wifi in the rooms. Breakfast was very good, but that can't make up for the very inconvenient location and check in time. There is still a far walk from the bus stop.

J'ai réservé cet hébergement car j'avais de bons echos du site et les commentaires etaient bons.

Une fois sur place , l'auberge est vétuste,
L'odeur d'humilité dans la chambre est horrible.
La moquette est tellement usée qu'il n'y a aucun confort.
Je voyageais avec mes 4 enfants dont 2 asthmatiques!
Pas d'ascenseur pas de climatiseur alors qu'il y avait 38°!
La literie complètement dur!
La nuit des petits insectes vous piquent!
C'est un scandale!!
Je demande le remboursement.
185€/nuit pour cette cellule , c'est honteux.

Honestly we got no other option at the Xmas time in Salzburg. Nevertheless we have been stayed in other hostels much cheaper with much more features. Room with 6 beds with toilet inside. Nothing more. Bed comfortable:6/10. Breakfast 6/10. And all for 150€/night. Additionally in the room next to us there was a young group who arrived at 02.45 am and keep talking as in the pub. I went down to reception and none neither I was capable to reach the security guy who in theory is reviewing all regularly. The people at reception was nice. Parking free and available.

Pour une \"auberge de jeunesse\" nous avions une chambre avec salle d'eau et WC indépendants. Nous étions 4 dans une chambre prévue pour 6 au maximum. Accueil très sympathique de la part des personnes qui étaient à la réception (car il y a bien une réception, ce jour là 07:00/14:00 - 16:00-00:00) et qui donnent de bons conseils pour notre séjour à Salzbourg.

More like an office building or a school camp

This was a clean place with a good breakfast and kind staff but you could barely say this is a hotel. I bet the building was designed for office space and school camping. The room we were in was like a classroom with four beds and a toilet at the end of the salon outside. There were some signs on the doors that suggested they use some of the rooms for office purposes. Not a convenient place and thus can't recommend it.

O hotel é muito sinistro, a porta do banheiro não fechava, meu cartão não passou na máquina deles, e é longe de tudo da cidade.
Se eu tivesse pago um hotel no centro da cidade iria ficar a mesma coisa, considerando gastos com deslocamento e cafe da manha por exemplo.

Dårlig oplevelse

Vi skulle selv ligge sengetøj på, ingen håndklæder og nul wifi. Selvom det hele stod i beskrivelsen. Babysengen klappede sammen en over min yngste datter så hun måtte sove på gulvet og vinduet kunne ikke åbnes optimalt. Badeværelset var så dårligt at da vi var færdige i badet løb vandet ud i gangen. Dårlig oplevelse.

급하게 예약한 거라 방을 잘 못 보고 예약했는데 리셉션 직원 분이 괜찮다고 하시면서 남은 방으로 바꿔 주셨어요. 덕분에 길거리에서 방황하지 않았습니다.
조식도 자그마한 뷔페식으로 준비되고 전체적으로 깨끗해서 편하게 지냈습니다.
다만 잘츠부르크 주요 관광지랑 좀 떨어져 있어서 항상 버스를 타고 이동하는게 조금 흠이었습니다.

Buon hostello

Hostello immerso nel verde con alcuni sentieri per passeggiare, posto a 3,5 km dal centro, servito comunque dal bus
che ti porta in centro in 5 minuti. ambiente pulito personale cortese e disponibile, buona la colazione,
posto tranquillo. Essendo un ostello, non hai grandi servizi, come tv in camera o climatizzzatore.
Letti però duri, quindi non comodi per tutti. inoltre essendo camere con più letti, si può dividere la
camera con più persone per pagare meno, oppure averla solo per se. prezzi onesti.

Nettes Hostel - nicht mehr und nicht weniger

Das Hostel ist sehr schön und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer gebucht, was dann so aussieht, dass man zwar ein 6er-Zimmer erhält, welches man dann aber für sich alleine hat (ein Doppelbett ist vorhanden). Von der Ausstattung, Sauberkeit etc. ist alles ok, wie man es von einem Hostel erwartet. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Checkin und Checkout sind unkompliziert und sehr schnell. Wir übernachten auf jeden Fall gerne im Eduard-Heinrich-Haus und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Berücksichtigen muss man auf jeden Fall, dass WLAN wohl nur in einigen Zimmern vorhanden ist.

Just cheap and okay hostel, breakfast not bad

很簡單的hostel地點滿難找到尤其是晚上有點偏僻，整體而言是不會想再回去的住宿地點，六人宿舍很暗，而且浴室沒有洗髮沐乳，也沒有吹風機，就是個陽春便宜的住宿。早餐還不錯，牛奶麥片咖啡吐司優格等等。

The reception is closed for the most of the day (it closes at 10 and opens again at 17), which is not convenient, but in other respects the hotel is good, at least for this price. The location is not far away from the city center - one needs to use buses, but fortunately they are quite frequent.

De kasten en douches vielen bijna uit elkaar. We hebben beestjes in ons bed gevonden. Het gebouw was echt afgeleefd. Echt de prijs niet waard. Enige positieve punt is dat de halte voor de bus niet heel ver weg was en het personeel om in te checken was vriendelijk.
