Location? Location? Location?
For a relatively new hotel - why would the owners think that their guests would want to wake up to the sight of the arse of a monster cruise ship being right in their faces! The pollution these Behemoths chugged out would have blotted out the Sun but fortunately for us the wind was offshore, otherwise, I doubt I would have faired better than the locals of Pompei!

The worst overall service ever received. AVOID!

* None of the rooms had shower gel supplied. When I asked for shower gel, there was a shrug and sigh from the receptionist and they reluctantly asked for house keeping to bring it. 45 mins later I returned o reception as it had not arrived.
* The room was missing its directory card so I didn’t know which phone number to call for reception.
* The taps were very loose, the cupboard door was hanging off and half the shower head jets were blocked and clogged.
* House maid removed one of my wifes beauty products. We were accused by Marta of placing it near the bin and therefore confusing the maid
* First morning at breakfast, pastries were provided for my wife and I. My daughter later joined us and asked for pastries, however Antonio told us that “we had enough to share”.
* Second breakfast, order was incorrect and arrived all together despite ordering in 3 logical steps (pastries/fruit/hot). Only one set of cutlery was provided for all of the breakfast and no plates were provided. The coffee was cold and old, indicated by low temp and lack of crema (looked like filter coffee). Antonio was completely miserable and not interested in us and was walking off whilst we were still giving the order-this is why it was wrong as he was not listening. No waiters were smiling at all.
* Dinner on the terrace was met with the same miserable, bored and disengaged waiter. This turned out to be the F&B manager.
The list goes on and on- emailed hotel with complaints and not a single acknowledgmen.

I would say it was a little overpriced. The castle view suite was excellent. Perfect for privacy to have separate rooms. The staff was extremely attentive and provided everything requested. Only minor inconvenience was there seemed to be flies throughout the hotel. Not a lot but unexpected

We finished off our wonderful Italy trip with a couple of nights in Napoli. We took some time deciding where to stay and whilst the ROMEO was the more expensive option we really enjoyed our time there and the main feature was the pool / bar area on the 10th floor which had fab views of the port area and Mount Vesuvius. The overall hotel set-up is really cool and the staff were very courteous and helpful. We upgraded to a Deluxe Harbour View room that are on the 5th and 6th floors giving better views of the port but I suggest you push for 6th as we were on the 5th & still had a view of a warehouse

Only needed a room for a one night stay. While the staff is excellent and very accommodating the room was dirty. The shower was covered in mold and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Very disappointing for the price point.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The gourmet breakfast was excellent every single day. The 4-star rating is really due to the aging of the hotel which is starting to show. Our shower head did not work and we had to use a hand wand to shower. Also, the internet was very inconsistent. Considering this is a 5-star hotel charging premium rates, we would expect the hotel to be better maintained. The location was also very convenient.

This was the most beautiful hotel so far that we’ve stayed at in Italy. The beds were so comfy, the hotel was so nice. The 10th floor has spectacular views, they make great cocktails. Breakfast was wonderful too!

Very nice hotel; quirky but all facilities provided were good. Room was very comfortable and clean. Location was excellent. Unfortunately Naples is somewhat dirty and that was true around the hotel. Overall rating was very good. We didn't like a) the bathroom lighting came on automatically in the night as it was disturbing our partner, the breakfast area is relatively small and staff seemed harassed (we had to wait to sit down on 3 out 4 occasions); and rap music in the cocktail bar seemed inappropriate.

The hotel is lovely - clean and modern. Reception staff were really attentive and made us feel really welcome.

Our room (Junior Studio Suite) felt quite small. The shower was difficult to use and the toiletries provided weren't as described on the hotel website. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a great gesture; however, the wine was corked and undrinkable when opened.

Breakfast was included and although the food was average, the service was extremely poor. We were ignored by most of the waiters and when we eventually flagged someone over, they were quite blunt and couldn't provide us with a menu of what hot food options were available. Hot food was slow to be received and hot drinks were even slower - when they arrived they were cold.

The pool is small and gets very busy. Limited space to sit around the pool too. We were unable to use it during our stay as it was so busy.

The hotel is overpriced and not what I would typically expect from 5 star accommodation. Although a pleasant stay, I wouldn't stay again.

Every member of staff we met could not have been more professional or helpful. The food was excellent, not just the Michelin starred restaurant. We’ve holidayed in Italy a number of times & have generally been very disappointed by the breakfast offering but breakfast at the Romeo was excellent (a glass of Prosecco would have been welcome). We’re looking forward to our next night with them before flying home in10 days.

So-so place in a terrible neighborhood

Staff was lovely and extremely helpful, and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we've seen. But we were put in a room on the second floor with a window with a crack running its entire width, which was fine because we didn't want to see the view anyway. Although the hotel is across the street from the pier, the view from our room was an ugly industrial parking lot. The room was also advertised as having air conditioning, but it is apparently a centralized system that only works when the hotel determines it's warm enough outside -- you don't get to decide. The solution from the front desk was to open the one small window in the room, which would let both the significant traffic noise in, as well as the bright white flashing Christmas lights strewn across the entire façade (we finally asked for a fan at 3 o'clock in the morning). Further, the bathroom walls and door are made of glass, and come with a motion sensor to turn the light on -- not a great idea when your partner gets up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and an uncontrollable light flashes on and wakes everyone up. Worst of all, the hotel is in a terrible part of town with dark, dirty streets and cheap restaurants close by; it felt like we were in a slum. An overall unpleasant experience.

We were really disappointed. One of the reasons we booked this property was because of the roof top and pool. We received a message saying it was closed until June 1 which was fine because we were there the first week of June. Even when we emailed for check in options a few days before our stay the reply we received said we could wait by the pool until our room was ready. Turns out the pool was nowhere near ready and was not accessible. The worst part of it was when we told the front desk about our disappointment they laughed it off and offered no form of compensation or apology even. We did not like the mid leading statements and how they handled it. Would not stay here again just for that reason.

On your next visit to Naples, look no further than Hotel Romeo for a classy, comfortable, convenient place to stay. Located across the street from the ferries to Capri and the Amalfi Coast, this is your ultimate jumping off point to the islands as well as all Naples has to offer. The hotel itself is very modern, with beautiful use of glass and mirrors throughout. The bar on the rooftop is gorgeous and provides a birds eye view of the ship terminal as well as Vesuvius in the distance. We loved Romeo and would stay there again when in the south of Italy.

Pretty underwhelming. For a 5 star property I expected a bit more, especially for $500 a night. For that price, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend staying. The room was nice at first glance, but after a little further inspection it was OK. Location is so so, we had to walk or taxi a good ways before getting to anywhere significant.

We had the Deluxe Castle View with two bedrooms, one sofa bed and 2.5 baths. It was perfect for a large family. The service was great. We enjoyed the bar and Il Commandante was amazing. Our only complaint was the totally useless Wi-Fi.

Savvy boutique hotel in central Naples

Great boutique hotel near the central square. Amazing decor from the exterior thru the lobby & area. Fabulous decor including cigar room, billiard room and lobby bar which doesn’t appear to be used as the rooftop bar is the active location. Very cool fixtures throughout. Room was very comfortable with great new & sitting area. Nice touch with a welcoming Prosecco on ice. Bathroom unique but maybe a little tight.

The pool was a disappointment. There were seats /loungers fixed into pool itself leaving about 1 metre width to try to swim. The hotel was great but should be aware that it is opposite a working port. We had a room with harbour views and were very aware of a dilapidated warehouse. The staff .were very helpful

My stay was mediocre. I upgraded to a junior suite which stated had a city view but in all actuality was a view of a road and an abandoned building. Checking in could have gone smoother... at first the desk clerk couldn’t find my reservation and began treating me like a burden. Once I got to my room I called and requested a different room even if it was a smaller room for the same money. They claimed they were booked but online I saw there were still rooms available. Bed was uncomfortable being that it was two twin beds pushed together. Restaurant was good. I arrived after a long day and wanted to soak in the hot tub at the spa, the spa closed at 9 I arrived at 8:30 and the woman working gave me dirty looks because it was closing in 30 min. She even came in 10 minutes before it closed to let me know I had to go. Stay somewhere else. I’ve been treated better and 3 star hotels.

The service was impeccable - at breakfast, the bar, the pool, or just asking for information. The buffet breakfast was excellent - and the view from the 9th floor is a great way to start your day. The pool was a welcome treat after a day strolling around Naples. I miss Romeo already.

This is a very modern hotel. It is often difficult to figure out how to use things like the showers, lights, etc. At night the bathroom light goes on automatically when you go into the bathroom. However the light goes throughout the whole room so you wake up your partner. There is no business center which is very unusual for a hotel that caters to business travelers.

The food on the 9th floor was good. However I think our waiter got fired mid-meal (no fault of ours) so service was extremely poor since no one appeared to know where he was at and resisted taking over. Separately I went there for a beer. I asked what kind of beer they had and the waitress struggled to find the list of 8 or so beers. When I pointed out a local brew she said no because they had only two beers, I got the German beer and sat there to drink it for about 30 minutes and no one came by to see how I was doing (only one other table of 2 customers in the restaurant). I got up and finally found someone so I could get my check.

The so called pool is a joke. It is like a wading pool.

In summary beautiful hotel with some flaws. Front desk service was excellent.

We didn’t like it..

There were a few things at the Romeo Hotel that we didn’t enjoy. One the bed wasn’t comfortable what so ever. The mattress was super hard but if you put your knee down on the bed it will go to the bottom of the mattress, the pillows weren’t comfortable either. The pool was a lot smaller then the pictures. The view was pretty much blocked buy buildings. The bathroom light over the toilet turned off multiple times when going number 1. No irons, I was told they aren’t allowed because the amount of wood they had.
The positive, the restaurant 2nd from the top floor had great food and service.

So the hotel itself is kind of cheesy in the sense of decor. Very moderna futuristica. We paid for an ocean view which ended up being a view of a ship port. Besides that the hotel itself was great, friendly staff, decent breakfast, location was walking distance to shops and restaurants. Restaurants however suck back. The hotel food was good though and our server Ciro was the absolute best. We suggest that you eat anything he recommends and pair it with whatever wine he suggest as well. My wife and I are not big on tiramisu but this is the best we have ever had. Enjoy.

Hotel Romeo - 5 PLUS Stars all the way

From the moment that we arrived at the hotel it was amazing. Our luggage was taken when we exited our taxi. Staff at the counter were courteous and welcoming. We arrived early (prior to check in) and luckily our room was ready. We were escorted to our room and personally shown all of the ammenities that were available. The room was clean, bright, and had every ammenity we could ask for. We reserved a corner suite and had a perfect view of the port, saw both cruise ships and ferries depart.
The bed was super comfortable with a plethora of pillows. We also had an opportunity to dine in the restaurant. The wait staff were very attentive and food was delicious. The main shopping area is only a short 15 minute walk. And here we also found the best pizza we had ever had. It's true Naples is known for great pizza!
Sadly we didn't get a chance to visit the pool or the spa, but hope to when we return in the future.
The saying \"you get what you pay for\" is absolutely true. You pay a bit more, and in exchange you get a high quality stay. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Hotel Romeo. This hotel would be in our top 5 hotel stays.

I had previously stayed at the property two years ago and the property was beautiful..this past trip I thought the rooms need a tiny bit of tlc...the staff is still awesome though

Most beautiful, modern design hotel! When they say 5 stars it’s 5stars ++++ we only stayed there for 1 night, but it was most spoiling, relaxing time! The room is just so beautiful with big comfortable bed full of fluffy pillows... you must visit the spa!!! Simply amazing!!!! Restaurants up in the roof are amazing. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!!!

Great hotel for a stopover, check your passports!!

The hotel fit our needs for the one night we were in Naples and the room was very comfortable. Service was overall good except for one caveat.... when we checked in they take your passports and they handed us ours back wrong even though we each handed them in as couples.... as we were tired we didn’t check which resulted in us getting my husbands passport and our friends husbands passport mixed up. This wasn’t discovered until the next morning when we were at the airport about to get on a flight without them as they were going to a different city. He had to hop in a taxi and rush to the airport and they held the plane for us. We made it but that was not a fun experience. Again, this was an easy oversight and we could have checked we just trusted the front desk to pay better attention to that. Overall a nice experience but this was a potentially big deal that could have been avoided

The location is excellent as the ferry is just few minutes walk and easy access to motorway to travel around the area. The staff are very helpful and extremely polite.

Feels like a brand new hotel. Big bathroom with tub. Walking distance to ferry terminals and the hop on hop off terminal. Walking distance of the shopping streets and restaurants. View not much on the lower floors, older building across the street blocks bottom 6 floors. Great AC in the July heat.

We would recommend the Romeo Hotel

Stayed in a deluxe suite. We traveled with our son and his wife so we liked having a living area to relax together. Both bedrooms had huge spa tubs in the rom which made for a slightly awkward floorplan but rooms were spacious and comfortable.
There is a very small – but nice rooftop pool and a game-room area in the lobby.
Naples was our base for side trips to Pompei and several other towns. The location was convenient with a nice harbor view. We had no problem with the area and walked to and from the train station and through many neighborhoods.
The complimentary breakfast was quite nice with a wide selection and we had a very good lunch and dinner in the 2 restaurants.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Romeo Hotel and would stay again.

hotel was nice. location was meh. bathroom shower was impossible to figure out. lights went on automatically if you went to bathroom in middle of the night. spa was very nice. fine for one night. kind of has the W hotel kind type of vibe
