The room was clean and the bed comfortable, including the pillow which is hard to find a from yet soft pillow that supports the neck well. Nice location and friendly staff. I was told I could look at the breakfast before deciding whether to pay for since I’m vegan and gluten free and the staff at breakfast did not speak English which is fine but they wouldn’t let me take a look before paying/probviding my room number.

Perfect spot to explore Naples. You can walk from the port/airport bus stop to this wonderful modern hotel. Then it’s right in the heart of Naples, explore the old town or the amazing designer streets. Great facilities. The room was spotless, comfortable and had easy to use tv and coffee for when you’ve had enough of walking the streets of Naples! The gym is well provisioned. If we returned we would definitely use this hotel again.

Convenient to walk around/explore. Close to the port, rooms/bathroom are small and no A/C but they do have a cooling fan system that we found the second night and it was better. Pillows and bed are really hard/stiff, so if that’s your thing, you’ll sleep well.

The property was nice overall and the train is accessible right across the street. As far as the hotel goes, the first night the electrical sockets weren’t working, so we had to move to a basic room for one night. The next day we returned to our premium room, but Netflix and YouTube weren’t usable due to the poor internet connection. If you’re not someone who relies on TV or streaming, this would be a good place to stay.

Hotel is in a great location! There is a Metro stop right outside the hotel, and the hotel is only a 5min walk from the Airport Shuttle (which stops at the Port).
Gym is basic, but has good quality eqipment...gym is open 24h which is very helpful.
Breakfast is good....nice selection of food. There is also a beautiful terrace, so when the weather is nice, its great to enjoy your breakfast outside.
Good size bedroom, and good bathroom. I would definitely stay here again!!

Stayed for 6 nights. The front reception staff were always pleasant and helpful with any concerns i had. My room was always kept tidy, and fridge was always restocked. The area is extremely convenient and you are always a good walking distance from everything. You are in front of a busy street but the sound proof balcony doors really do their job and block out the noise. It was an exceptional experience and I look forward to booking again on my next trip.

The rooms were fairly clean, but not as clean as would you expect from a brand hotel. Bathrooms were not as clean as expected, our room smell started to become really bad.

There were not enough variety of food in the restaurent.

Towels were of the worst quality possible.

We walked straight from ferry from Amafi to this hotel. It was the first and nicest affordable we found on our walk. It was all new modern and clean. They offered free coffee in lobby area. As soon as we arrived we walked to the corner to a hop on hop off bus tour to get a full flavor of the city of Naples for 2 hrs for 20 euros each. After we got off by our hotel and ate at a place called Sano Sano. It was our best meal with a pesto pasta dinner and capri toast. So yummy. There is a beautiful castle a short walk from the hotel. We had an early 6;30 am flight to LAX in the morning. So the hotel booked a 4:15 am taxi for us the night before. The total cost of taxi ride to airport was 22.50 euros for me and my husband. It only took 13 minutes to drive to airport. You are in the middle of town so everything is walking distance. We were very happy with the hotel.

The staff was welcoming and helpful with any questions I had. They helped me get a taxi at 5:30am when I had to check out early due to a flight change. The hot breakfast buffet was awesome and the view from the terrance was breath taking. This hotel is right across the castle and near hop on n off bus. The bed was comfy and room was very clean. Location was great. I got excusions booked by the corner agency down a block right across from the port and castle corner. We booked a excursion to Pompeii and boat ride to Capri which was safe. The area around the train station is a bit scary and be careful at all train and metro stations as I was surprised with the amount of pick pockets in all Italy areas like Naples, Rome, and Florence. I recommend to take Ubers or Taxi's around vs Metros. It was 30 Euros from the airport to the hotel and 13.50 euros for a taxi from the hotel to the train station. But i was very happy this hotel it was in a good area and I would stay here again if I visit again. I also found a great exchange rate place that the ratewas 88 euros per $100 US with no commission fee which is located a few stores down on the same side as you walk to the castle. I highly recommend this place.

This hotel was a lovely place to escape the not so nice city of Naples. The breakfast terrace was nice and I would have liked to have it serve lunch and dinner too. Hotel was close to the port where we took a trip to the lovely Island of Ischia. Glad we chose this hotel.

This Mercure is very well located indeed for the heart of Naples, including the port, Opera house, Piazza Plebiscito, Palazzo Reale etc. It is well connected to the railway station at Municipio metro station. Can’t believe it’s 4 stars

The standard double room was tiny, the overall experience was bad and simply didn’t justify 4 stars at all.

No basic amenities : there is a water heater but no cups or tea/coffe. No warm
Blankets (though when asked, we went to get them from the reception), Not even a “do not disturb” sign. Felt like the room was not prepared enough and lacked very basic things.

Shower has dampness stains.

Room number 602. Hard to believe it was the size the website says it was.

Wifi not reliable enough.

Disappointing, not justifying the price nor the brand.

Whoever is the marketing person for this hotel is a very good one. This hotel is a 3-star hotel at best. It is not a 4-star hotel. Although conveniently located in the city center there are far nicer hotels at better prices than this hotel. I stayed here for 3-nights in a “twin-room” where two single beds were pushed together, the room itself was small and outdated with very odd decoration/colour. Don’t expect anything above basic in regards to your tv and mini bar expectations, unless you want warm beverages and it’s not stocked. The air conditioning was very loud and had a bad smell.
If you plan on using the bathroom in the night be sure to be alone because there is no door handle that push-down and pull, it’s a pull and slam/bang which results in waking up whoever is around you with a loud bang in the middle of the night and this can be heard in the next room, despite the rooms being “sound proof”. The bathroom itself isn’t clean, there is dirt stuck in places such as the shower and dust under the sink and behind the toilet.
The breakfast is okay, it’s continental and due to Covid-19 it’s not self-service but two ladies are available to give you what you want from behind the breakfast bar. Can’t fault these ladies, they give you want you want and are friendly. The staff are friendly and check-in was easy as well as check-out. Room service was every morning but didn’t do the best of jobs just dressed beds, emptied bins and changed a few towels. Pictures aren’t accurate.

Given an early checkin and a late checkout because we were leaving for a late flight. The checkin was very smooth and gave helpful information about getting to the airport. The room was modern and comfy. The bed was just the right softness for a good nights sleep. Negatives were the room was not in the best location and we could hear all the waterworks from nearby rooms including flushing toilets. The breakfast on the balcony overlooking the castle and port was excellent.

Excellent location for port, buses, taxis and Metro. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants close to hotel. Breakfast too was good value. All three rooms were very spacious. Plenty of toiletries. Staff were helpful and friendly. The foyer area was useful for waiting in. Vending machine fur snacks anc drinks handy too. Large supermarket nearby as well as some great shops to suit all. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Only thing missing is a bar! But plenty nearby- just across road in fact. It’s on a busy street but traffic noise is minimum if you keep windows closed. Good air con in rooms.

As we arrived late in the evening & needed to leave after breakfast, we had little time to advise on this hotel. However-
Positives: Greeting by staff friendly & helpful.
Location excellent if you are ferrying to Sorrento area.
Breakfast on rooftop terrace enjoyable, with ample choices.
Negatives: Noisy - our room near a restaurant & rubbish collection
Bedding had a huge tear in the quilt cover
Floor was dirty- walked around barefoot & could feel & see grime.

Hotel does not provide parking but there is a pay parking in the adjacent building which is convenient. There are many restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the main attractions, metro station and ferry terminal. There are several good restaurants within very easy walking distance. The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. Our room at the back of the hotel was clean and the bathroom had all the basics and plenty of hot water. I found the mattress uncomfortable because it needed turning. We didn’t eat in the restaurant because the breakfast sounded expensive compared to the local cafe but of course it might be amazing! Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this hotel.

Convenient Location for Sightseeing

This is a nice hotel in an ideal location. It’s close to the port, the metro, and a taxi rank. The sightseeing bus stop is in walking distance as is Castel Nuovo, the Royal Palace, and Piazza del Plebescito.

I had a single room which was surprisingly spacious compared to some double rooms in larger cities.

Professional staff was helpful and had very good recommendation. Easy check in and check out process.

The room was small, bed was ok. Not very comfortable because you could feel the springs in your sides.
The air conditioning was not very good and it was always hot in the room no matter for how long you left it blast at maximum.
Some staff were nice but others were plain rude but that’s everywhere I guess.
Overall, the location is worth the price so don’t expect much comfort from the room.

A very good hotel option in Napoli

Room was of average size for Italy, but nicely appointed: good wifi, its own thermostat, a coffee machine, a very comfortable bed and a not so frequent bonus, a mini fridge with half a dozen complimentary beverages (water, sparkling water, coke, juice) refilled daily. The bathroom was nice as well, with a roomy shower and a good tray of toiletries. Breakfast was sufficient, not impressive, the weak point of the hotel. Reception service was excellent. This hotel location was very good, pretty much across Castelnuovo (great view of the fortress from the breakfast terrace) and a few minutes walk to Via di Toledo; also close to the port. Another big plus was the closeness of Osteria da Antonio, a small restaurant with outstanding food. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location for easy walk to the boats, eg to Sorento or Capri.
Very nice for an Italian hotel but much smaller than an American hotel. Also awkward steps everywhere. Nice bathroom and very good breakfast for €15. I would rate this. 3 in the US but I. Italy it is a 4 or even a 5. I would return.

This is a lovely European hotel with a delightful roof terrace and nice decor. The chef (who I was instructed to call directly) forgot my room service order and when I reminded him with another call, he delivered the meal himself so he could apologize for the delay! Most impressive and worth the wait....deliciozo!

Lovely hotel in a convenient location

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a week long stay in Italy. I thought the hotel seemed a little expensive per night but having stayed and seen the others i was looking at I am really glad I booked this one. The hotel is a very good standard, the room was clean and comfortable and the wi--fi is good. Close to the metro station which is good for getting about and linking to the Circumvesuviana for Herculaneum and Pompeii. The hotel is really close to the Castel nuovo which is impressive. The breakfast was good but not excellent, the hot food selection was minimal and didn't seem to be cooked enough for us. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel close to the harbour, and Municipio metro train station is less than 1 minute walk away. The staff were lovely and very friendly, they made you feel welcome. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.

A lovely hotel with comfy rooms, the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our luggage was delayed by the airline and the staff rang the local airport for us to help track it down. They also recommended some lovely local restaurants to us too. The room was comfy and clean and good value. No slippers available in the room until I was told by my colleague that he got one in his room on the third day stay in the hotel.

I have to go down to ask receptionist for a pair of slippers.

Why not make it fair to all visitors,

Location is good but the air-conditioner is not.

The air conditioner was not functioning properly. Air was stuffy, hot and dry. I had a sorethroat after the first night and requested to change room. They refused and said that it was fixed. The usual practice is that you lower the temperature on the control setting to get a powerful cooling. But the guy taught us to set it higher at 30 degrees Celsius or higher in order to get the room cooler! I’ve never seen any air-conditioner working in this way.

Good Hotel excellent location for exploring Naples

Arrived early - Room was ready so staff checked us in early. Room 401 had standard Balcony to the front but also had a second balcony off the bathroom - bonus! Took the room only option as the 13€ per head for breakfast did not compare well with the Cafe 50m away where 2 Coffees and 2 Cornettos was 8€. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient and very helpful in printing out my return flight boarding card. Hotel has Free WiFi did the Check-in 24 hours before my flight and Emailed boarding Cards to Reception where they printed them off with no problems.

Fit for Purpose

After travelling through Italy and visiting Pisa, Florence and Rome we stayed in Naples to visit Versuvius and to also complete our holiday by having a week on the Island of Ischia.

The location of the hotel was ideal for us as it was close to a metro station and only a 5-10 minute walk to the port or to shopping areas.

The check in was friendly although no mention of where we were, maps or suggestions of what to do (something we had experienced in each of the other hotels that week). We found our way by exploring but must admit there were some much more run down areas when you stray from the main shopping streets. This left us with a poor first impression of Naples although fortunately after more exploring we found the more tourist areas.

Rooms were ok but in some need of modernisation and good clean. We didn't have breakfast as at 13 euros each we thought it too expensive especially when just around the corner was an amazing gelateria selling fresh coffee and pastries for only 1 euro each.

Generally an ok hotel for a night or two, but wouldnt recommend for a full holiday we have stayed in much nicer Mercure hotels in Europe.

Expensive hotel

We are a family of four- stayed 3 nights and rented 2 rooms. Breakfast is not included. At checkout the manager tried to charge me extra 174 euros for my children aged 15 and 17y/old. I had to show her their website which showed children was defined as below 18 years old! Besides I rented 2 rooms which paid for 4 people!! what a mess! She also tried to charge me for bottled water in the fridge that I didn't use. I wouldn't be comfortable walking outside at night-- this hotel in my opinion is not located in a safe part of the city. I paid 25 euros for taxi ride from Naples capodichino airport. Be sure to ask the taxi driver how much the ride is before you board. The room was clean, the bed comfortable.

great one night stay

great stay in well placed hotel from city areas and the ferry terminal
Internally is a bit of a rabbit warren and there are steps her and there so if access is an issue let the desk know when booking.
Staff very helpful with directions to station and sites taxis etc
