Breakfast was good enough and nice to see it included. Once you find the entrance, be sure to go to the third floor to check in. The close proximity was the star of the show. Most all of our day trips started nearby. Great shops, cafes, pizzerias nearby. We would recommend and stay there next time.

Location was good. Good restaurants around the corner and easy to walk to the nearby fortress. Hop on and off bus was located nearby making it easy to tour the city.
Odd location inside of an office building. Felt like staying inside of an IKEA.
We walked with luggage to the cruise ship dock which took about 15 minutes.

For Americans it is different than what we are used to, but the service, the room, the view, the location to the ferries and the cleanliness were all excellent. Just being on the 3rd floor of an office building was unique.

I was pretty disappointed when I got to the hotel, it didn’t look like the pictures at all. The photos online made it seem much nicer than it actually was, which was a letdown and really took away from the experience. AC took for ever to catch set point and we are in May, imaging this situation in July with real hot weather, main was not closing properly (had to struggle to lock it down), the safe box did not work. Wait there is more, I have to mention that the hotel is in the 3er fl of a residential building[, but it was only one night and let it go.

That said, the people working there really made a difference. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated. It’s just too bad that the actual look and feel of the hotel didn’t live up to what was shown online.
Overall, great staff, but the place itself wasn’t what I expected.

Good if you are lucky with the room

Place seemed to be refurbished recently and everything looked good. But our room was next to the entrance door that makes a very strong buzz noise whenever someone tries to enter. Woke me up several times during the night.
Still people are nice and breakfast was fantastic

air conditioner not working in the scorching heat

In the blazing heat, our air conditioner did not work. It was hell. on the 2nd night, it decided to work but not very well, however, it did cool the room slightly which was welcomed in the scorching heat.

Nice hotel. Unusual as reception was on the 3rd floor which was reached via secure buzzer system. Very clean throughout, some traffic noise but not too bad. Friendly staff, excellent customer service. We had an issue with hot water but this was remedied quickly. Downside was lack of sockets to charge equipment. Good breakfast. I would a recommend a stay here.

Fantastic location within close proximity to the old town, spagnoli quarter and port. The rooms were clean and the shower very good.

However the air con did not work so had to sleep with the door open which meant it was very load from the road noise and we were bitten alive by mosquitos.

We had no fridge or safety deposit box in the room as the amenities listed. We were able to use the kitchen fridge and the staff provided a safety box but we could not get it to work.

The beds were very uncomfortable it was two singles pushed together which meant throughout the night they would move apart and the bottom sheet would pull away from the bed.

Breakfast was very simple a bit too basic, there were pastries, cold meats and a few hot items but the coffee was awful.

Overall a clean hotel in a great location but not a pleasant stay.

Excellent location and functional budget hotel

We stayed in the standard room and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend room 303, it was a corner room and I believe the only room that has a view. The other rooms face the neighboring building. The room was very functional and definitely worth the amount paid. The hotel cost is very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. It is a budget hotel - there is only one employee at the check-in desk and so they don't offer help with luggage or anything like that, but I am fine with this. The only complaint I have is that the air-conditioning was not very cold. We woke up sweating most nights (we stayed in July, it was very hot). We also returned for another ngiht stay a few days later and we were in a different room and had the same issue with the air-conditioning.

Hotel entrance needs improvement.

Receptionist are good and helpful. Hotel is located at the third floor of the building and you cannot enter not unless someone from the hotel opens it for you. Little inconvenient especially if the buzzer is not working. Was down the building middle of the night, not cool.

Excellent Stay Without Breaking The Bank

All staff are friendly and helpful. On a side street that is quiet. Close to police station for anyone who needs that extra assurance for safety. Fast WIFI and comfortable beds. Shower water pressure good. Breakfast items adequate with cold cuts, cheese different baked pastries. You can request for espresso and cappuccino. My daughter have a 10-month old infant, and her room was already prepared with a baby crib upon check-in. Bravo! Location is 10-15 mins walk from cruise terminal, and about 20 mins walk to the famous pizzeria Da Michele.

Extra charges not included in Hotels.com. this hotel charged us an extra they called city tax of 2.50 euro per person per day and only accept cash for this strange charge. I think some kind of corruption going here. Think twice before selecting this hotel.

The hotel was fantastic! Great location (took us a minute to find it as there is only a little sign on the side of the building). It is just up from the port and near the metro station- ideal for exploring the Naples area. The staff were really helpful and breakfast was small but lovely- with a beautiful view. Our room was great, we had a supreme room which meant we have slightly more space which was perfect as we were staying 4nights. Would definitely reccomend!

Stayed here for 1 night. It was difficult to locate as it is on a side street and our taxi driver didn't know where it was, but overall the location is good as its not too far from the airport and train station. There are cafes', and a bank at the corner. The area didnt seem sketchy as some reviewers claimed. Our room faced the side street and it was not overly noisy.
The concierge service is 24 hours as we needed to leave very early and someone was available to check us out. staff was friendly.
we didn't have the continental breakfast that was included.
The check-in and out as quick and efficient.

Enjoyed our stay and would book again

I stayed in this hotel with a friend of mine for 3 days. The location is ideal if you enjoy sightseeing, as most landmarks are within walking distance. Transport links are also great with bus stops and underground close by. For those who like to carry on with their workout routine whilst away, there is a gym with €10 day passes right around the corner.
The room was clean and spacious with everything we needed supplied. They even have a small fridge (not a mini bar). Breakfast has decent selection for the price we paid.

I should have read the other reviews more carefully before I booked. The reviewer who says that the rooms by reception get a lot of noise are completely correct. We were 2-3 doors down from the hall opening and it was still pretty noisy. The room was quite small (but I guess you get what you pay for). The kicker is that it took us over an hour and a half to get checked in (they were having technology problems). The poor guy who got there about a half hour before us gave up and left- we would have done the same, had the room not already been paid for. Speaking of, it's a good thing that we had already paid for it, because when we went to check out the next morning, their system problems had apparently continued and they were only taking cash. When we were waiting for check-in, the receptionist did offer coffee or water, but I was thinking it would have been wise to do something more, such as a room upgrade or a partial refund. Our only day in Naples got eaten up by this process. The bed was two singles put together, which is standard in Europe, but ordinarily, they strap or otherwise fix them together so they don't come apart in the night. This was not done, so by the time we got up in the morning (after a difficult sleep of falling in the crack), there was about a 6 inch gap. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The bonus is they didn't complain when we opened a bottle of wine from our suitcase to drink in their breakfast area to pass the time during check-in.

Very central to all the key places to visit

I liked the stay in this hotel Good value for money. I went with my family and they had very homely feel, negative point is no wifi in room and only at reception computer and shower not cleane, keep getting clogged and overflow, towels not replaced daily. Very noisy if someone taking shower in next roon early in the morning. No english channels.

Great value in Napoli!

Hotel is just off Via Medina, a hike from the train station, but close to the historic section. The lobby is staffed 24 hours, and the staff is VERY helpful. They gave us tips on restaurants, sights to see and directions --spoke English well. The lobby has wifi and there is a computer available for guests to use, which ended up being extremely helpful to us. The breakfast is fabulous!

This hotel was very well located with good access to cruise terminal and bus to airport/train

We were 2 women sharing a twin room, which was small, but adequate. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good. The beds were very uncomfortable (single and too hard for our liking). There was too much street noise to leave the outside door open at night, which meant it was then too hot when closed. The aircon didn't cope. The sheets need replacing, mine had holes. Apart from that, it was well located; walking distance to cruise terminal, bus to/from airport and train station. It was reasonable value for money, and would probably stay there again.

It was a shock! In the middle of a narrow street the lobby was inside a building up in the 5 floor. Very old building! Our rooms were in the 3 floor. We had to leave the lobby and share the elevator with the people who worked in the privates offices in the building. Then we had a huge key to open a door that belong to the hotel. Inside to the right...open storage! We continue for the hallway and founded like 6 or 7 rooms. The air conditioner was not working in some rooms so we moved to another ones!No many choices! The rooms are remodeled and clean but it was a weird experience!

Great hotel close to the port area and shopping district. It was a 10 minute walk to the hydrofoil to Sorrento. The room was nice with a balcony, air conditioning worked well and front desk staff was very helpful. We were on the 5th floor and it was fine. Wifi does not work in the rooms, but it does in their lobby reception area.

Thr personnel were very accomodating - they let us leave some luggage 2 days before our check in day and that made our weekend on the Amalfi coast so much nicer withot carring a lot with us.Also the breakfast was more substantial than is usually seen in Italian hotels.

Hotel was only a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport. It's on the 3rd floor but there were two lifts. We had an issue with the air con in our room which was irritating but we were only staying for 2 nights so we let it go. The hotel/rooms were clean and breakfast was basic but sufficient. It isn't in the nicest of locations but we never felt uncomfortable. Close to historic sites and plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. Also it anyone is interested the open top bus tour start point is literally a couple of minutes walk away. I think the hotel warrants its 3* but nothing more.

Ok for us! About 'Travelodge' standard.

Dad and Daughter (10) travelling together on a budget April '13.
Pre-visit, Google-Earth checked Via Tommaso D'Aquino, which looked a bit dodgey, but the hotel is feet from Via Medina which is better, has a couple of restaurants, and runs to the Alibus (airport bus# stop, Capri ferry and castle. It's a short walk through to the main tourist/shopping area.
The hotel is one floor of a multi-storey building that also houses offices, and has an entry buzzer/intercom in the street doorway, it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it.
There's free communal internet use, telly in the rooms. Coffee is available for 1E, 'continental breakfast' is served 7:30-10:00.
Most staff had passable English, and were polite and friendly. Giulia on day reception was very helpful.
Our room was ok, looked good, but some of the fittings felt a bit rickety. I dreaded my daughter coming in waving the shower control or balcony door handle, but everything survived our visit!
We used the train to get to Herculaneum #same one goes on to Pompei#, and walked to the station using a straightforward 'follow the seafront and turn left', but it's quite a way.
The hotel provided a map with places of interest marked, and there was enough locally to fill our 5 day visit, although we did cover quite some distance on foot.
There's a coffee shop across the street, and basic supermarket a couple of doors away.
Despite their poor reputation, we found the vast majority of Naples folk open, friendly and helpful.

Solid 3 star budget no frills

This hotel was more of a motel by American standards. By European standards it's a typical hostel. Naples is a city where you have to be alert, and the streets are not the safest. This location was definitely better than some of the other neighborhoods, but if you are not street savvy or easily intimidated this is not the place for you. While we encountered nor problems whatsoever there is a large population of vagrants who live in the park nearby and the streets are not well lit at all. This hostel is in the middle of a business area so while its prime for the sights, it’s not really well populated at night, For someone on a budget this was a good place. I backpacked for 3 weeks so I had to be budget conscience, and with the poor American exchange rate this is what I could do. If this was my primary stop, which it probably shouldn’t be anyone’s primary stop in Italy, then I wouldn’t stay here. Overall a solid 3 star hostel.

Loved It

We stayed on the 5th (6th for us Americans) and had a corner room with two balconies. We left the windows open the entire time and thoroughly enjoyed the roar and hum of the city streets below. [Warning - if you don't enjoy the sound of a busy city, maybe stay somewhere else] You don't need the TV - we sat on the balcony and people watched - way more entertaining! There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance in addition to the castle and the port. Highly recommend this super affordable place!

A good comfortable base for your trip.

This hotel is basic in its appearance and facilities but if all you require is a base camp with a comfortable bed and functional shower/bathroom it is located perfectly, close to the main railway and bus station, for your sight seeing stay in Rome. All sights but, for the Vatican are within walking distance and this can also be accessed easily via one of the regular sightseeing tour buses or the metro. We traveled on to Rome from Naples and then on from Rome to Venice by Train and so its immediate proximity to the main train station gave us cost savings with no additional taxi fares to/from etc.

A good place to stay

The hotel is in a good central location and in walking distance of most of Naples' tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly - they allowed us to leave our bags and return to check in later in the day so that we could visit Pompeii. The room we stayed in was quite small but clean. We could hear a bit of noise echoing in the corridor in the night.

Amazing Hotel--walking distance to main sites

I really enjoyed my stayed here. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've been in. It was also very modern and clean. My one issue was that the wifi network was not strong enough to use in my room. I would highly recommend though!

The neighborhood was not the most appealing or beautiful, but near the pier, city center and several good restaurants. Nice breakfast that included boiled eggs... Usually not served with \"continental breakfast.\". The air conditioner in the room did not worked well, when we asked about it we were told that the AC is turned off every day at 3am but it appeared to be turned off at 10pm every day.... To improve the temperature of the room we had to keep the window open but was not the best idea due to the noisy street...

Great hotel in the heart of historic district

This hotel was great! It was a simple 10-15 minute bus ride from the Naples train station. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a building and is not well indicated. But, I thought that this was a nice safety feature, since Naples is known for unsavory characters. There are no thieves prowling in front if they don't know there is a hotel there! The furnishings were extremely modern. There was also a computer with free internet in the lobby.

This hotel is located on the third floor of an office building. There is only a small sign on the building wall (however this is not uncommon in Europe). The location is ideal within 3 minute walk of the old part of town with its narrow shop filled streets, 3 min. walk to the main shopping area (Via Toledo)m and about 5 min. walk to the Harbour Port. There is a bus stop directly to the Train Station infront of the Hotel and the Bus (Alibus) to the Airport is located just 5 min. walk away.

Public transportation is very easy and inexpensive. Taking the Train to Sorrento takes about 70 minutes, where as taking the boat takes 50 min. Publoic Transportation is abour one third of the price of the boat. The boat to islands Ischa and Capri and take between 40 and 60 minutes. Train to Pompei is about 35 minutes. Public transportation tickets can be purchased in any of the many Tabaco Shops. If you are planning on doing a lot of traveling then it my be advisable to purchase a daily, 3 day, 5 day or weekly ticket that is good for all public transportation in the region.

The Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. Equipt with a Mini-Bar (however a supermarket is located just 50 meters away). Staff is always willing to help.

The breakfest buffet is typical european (a few cold cuts, cheese, a variety of jams, cereals and so on). From the breakfast area there is a nice view of the castel and a water fountane.

There is free internet access (WPA code is on a sticker affixed to the pc).

The area is realativly safe although there are many signs in the Public Transportation to be aware of pick pockets.

Excellent value for money!

We booked this hotel with fairly low expectations (it was the cheapest of all the hotels we'd booked for our three week trip), but wow, we were totally wrong! This place is beautiful! Very clean, modern decor, huge rooms, lovely bathrooms, free internet, large continental breakfast spread... we were wondering if there was going to be some extra charge added on at the end, everything was sooo nice! I didn't really like Naples all that much, but I would consider returning to stay at this hotel.

The hotel has only basic amenities, however the staff speak and understand english and are very helpful. Any deficiency in the hotel is made up for by its convenient location, 300 metres from the airport shuttle bus stop, 50 metres from the R2 bus stop to the station, 5 minutes from the ferry to Capri,1.2 Kilometres to the National Museum. Other than pasta and pizza outlets I could not find a decent restaurant serving any cuisine anywhere in the vicinity.Not easy to find in the first place especially if you are arriving at night no obvious entrance from the road and the name of the hotel is set high on the wall and is about 9x6 inches in size. You get what you pay for,

The hotel is not difficult to find as we had been warned. It is very near the harbour, so easy to by hovercrft to Sorrento and Capri and for cruise ships. Buses are nearby and sight seing very easy , particularly if you take \"hop on and off\" bus tours Breakfast was same daily, but of very good quality. Staff is very helpful. Free internet is attracrive. Would recommend it for for reasonable price if you just want to sleep and enjoy the city and nearby sites.

I stayed here for seven nights with my father, in a double room. The service was great and they all spoke well english. The looby and reception nice with soffas and free access to internet, and breakfast buffe every morning was alright enough. Also here was the service well. One thing that was bad was the first impression of the hotel from outside and that there wasn't any big sign with the name. Other than that this was fully worth they price. Recommendable.

The hotel is situated in a lovely part of Naples and we never felt unsafe at any time of the day or night in that area. The hotel was clean and all staff were very helpful. They gave us an early check in and provided much tourist information. Breakfast was great and there was free internet in reception. I would definitely go back there and would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Naples.

Plain front, lift no longer requires 10 cent coin, near Questura, breakfast overlooks Castel Nuovo, staff bright, internet connexion works, easy walking distance of principal sights and good restaurants, sufficiently away from criminous throng on Via Toledo and in heart of historic centre, near Alibus stop, crucial R2 and R4 stops and ferries.

Great location, Friendly Staff

Great value and great location. The hotel is situation just off Via Medina, a short walk to the old Castle (we could see the castle from our room which also had a small balcony). Also short walk to via Toledo, the shopping strip which leads to Piazza Garibaldi. 5 mins. wak to marina Beverello. You can take the Alibus from the airport for 3 Euro & get off in front of the castle & walk to the hotel. There's no hotel sign or hotel front. It's on the 3rd floor, part of a residential & business building. You'll need to look for the hotel number, there's a small sign with a buzzer for Hotel Napolit Amo. Best way to recognise the hotel entrance are the huge wooden doors. Take the small life up to 3 where reception is. Room 509 had a lovely view on the 5th floor. Breakfast was good & included in the room price. Free internet. Janet was really nice & helpful - thank you! I'd definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel - Great Location

This hotel was located on the 3rd floor of a building but dont let this put you off - such a great location right beside the new castle (you can see it from your window at breakfast). All staff we friendly and helpful and there's free internet for use in the lobby.

Central position, very helpful staff, awkward building

Entering the hotel building was a bit of a shock; gloomy, cigarette smoke filled central hall, grubby coin operated lift. Hotel itself was a pleasant surprise; very friendly staff, free internet use and a good breakfast. However, the fact that the rooms were on two different floors with a extra key for the front door to the 5th floor was rather impractical. Also, the walls were paper thin.

Zimmer sauber, guter Zimmerservice, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreichbar, Rezeption 24h erreichbar. Man sollte gegen Strassenlärm nicht ganz so empfindlich sein, trotz gut schliessender Fenster dringt immer etwas Strassenlärm durch.
Sehr zu empfehlen die \"Kneipe\" Kitebeer in der nächsten Strasse.

O hotel está localizado em um predio onde há outros escritórios, ele fica no 3° andar. O predio é antigo e meio sujo, mas atras da porta onde começa o horel é tudo muito limpo. Quarto, banheiro enorme. Bom chuveiro. Café da manha simples mas gostoso. Ele está perto da Via Toledo onde há muito comércio, restaurantes, metrô. A região é movimentada e agitada, otima para passear. Não quer gastar muito com hotel, então este é uma ótima escolha. Recomendo.

イタリア全般に言える事かもしれないけれど、古いせいか、バスルームとベッドルールの間にドアはあっても、トイレの音はダイレクトに聞こえてしまうので、気まずかった。

Très bel hôtel , propre , bien équipé. Personnel adorable . A l’accueil l’hôtesse nous a aidé à préparé notre trajet pour aller à Herculanum et Pompei en métro et train . L’hôtel se situe en plein centre ville et à 5 minutes à pied du métro . Avec la Clim et le double vitrage on n’entend pratiquement pas les bruits extérieurs. Petit déjeuner varié et copieux .

Good location, clean, very polite and helpful personal, especially Antonio and Josefin. Very good and rich breakfast.
Large, clean and comphort room.
Only the one problem is very noisy in rooms facing the main road due to poorly compacted aluminum door and window frames.

Bom hotel!

Hotel muito bem localizado, em região central da cidade, com fácil acesso aos pontos turísticos, transportes públicos, ao porto e ao aeroporto. O hotel está localizado em um prédio comercial antigo, sendo que o hotel ocupa apenas parte do prédio. Portanto, não há um letreiro indicando que aquele é o prédio do hotel. Há um interfone na entrada do prédio para comunicação com a recepção do hotel para abrir a porta de acesso ao prédio. Tudo bem tranquilo pois a recepção é guarnecida 24hrs. O hall do prédio tem uma cara antiga com um pouco de cheiro de mofo, mas a área ocupada pelo hotel está reformada e em boas condições.
