The hotel has a great location. Food was ok nothing special. The rooms are dated and need some maintenance. The staff try their best except it is amazing to me there was no free bottle water in the room or robe since it a spa hotel. My massage with Laura was great!

The housekeeping was excellent. There was a few problems with plumbing, firstly the sink leaked, then as the week went on the toilet wouldn’t flush,these problems were sorted very quickly, on the day of leaving the tap in the sink came off, we obviously reported it. The ongoing disappointment was the wardrobe didn’t have a hanging space for dresses or long coats,we ended up buying coat hangers and hanging them on pictures around the room

Great hotel with comfortable rooms and good facilities. Fantastic position right on the beach with direct access. Walking distance to Estepona port.
Evening entertainment was a little weak.
Main breakfast buffet by 9.30 was total chaos. No crockery, no cleared tables, food not replenished. When brought to the attention of the staff they were completely unresponsive.
Buffet dinner a little unimaginative.

Property not to large, rooms good size and with lifts . Variety of eating places. Food good quality. Soft drinks available pool side but coffee only in cafe. 25 minutes walk to Marina and other eateries.
Reception very helpful in booking taxi’s and any needs . All staff hard working and friendly.

We enjoyed the week in general, the room , hotel facilities, reception staff were good and it was quiet however, we paid for Privilege and the service was just not in place outside of the room. House keeping was good.

- The Lounge food / snacks were poor and left out for too long.
- The service by the pool area for breakfast and snacks was so bad, slow, little communication. Just left waiting all week with insufficient people. There were two ladies who tried hard and were friendly, but there was often nobody supporting.

- We were not offered a drink at Dinner once, it was unbelievable for a hotel as lost revenue must be huge. Food was good at the buffet.

- The BBQ was very poor, we decided to just leave after a poor experience and we both ended up with stomach cramps and diarrhoea, which indicated the food was left outside too long.

My wife complained to guest relations on the final day before we left. We were told it would be investigated.

Fantastic hotel made by it's wonderful staff.

We stayed here when the blackout happened in Spain as our house was still in darkness and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The staff were absolutely brilliant even in an unprecedented situation. The room was spacious and lovely. They have a live act every evening which was great. Honestly the hotel was a little slice of heaven.

Lovely hotel. great staff, lovely restaurant and good food and close to the beach, The area was quiet and about 3 kms from the centre of Estepona which suited us as we enjoyed the walk in but you could get a bus close to the hotel. It had good facilities for both adults and children but would have more as the hotel got busier,

Cant speak highly enough of H10 Estepona Palace. Everything was just as wed seen in the photos before we arrived. Reception is a huge open area which you go through to reach all the amenities. Our room was possibly the best hotel room we've ever stayed in, a wonderful bed, clean and spacious ensuite and the most fantastic view of the sea and hotel pools made this a room we would love to be able to take with us everywhere we go in the future. Ours was a superior double with sea view. The pools were great if a little bit chilly, but clean and well maintained. The bars and restaurants were all fab with great food available all day. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and worked extremely hard. The beach isnt as nice as some beaches you might find but it is so close to the hotel and was worth a visit everyday. The town of Estepona is an absolute delight, the old town especially. Visit during the day where the beach is much better but the town comes alive during the evening with little lanes and flowery squares abound with pretty lighting and streets full of tables and chairs from the many excellent restaurants to be found here.
Will definitely be back! Thank you for a memorable holiday.

Found the front of house team on reception to be quite rude. They made us feel completely unwelcome as we were checking in, making negative comments about us just staying one night. We had also rang ahead to confirm which day we would use the full board lunch and we were advised we could use it on either the day we checked in or checked out. When I mentioned this at check-in I was told this wasn't policy and was repeatedly asked who I'd spoken to on the phone despite me saying I hadn't got a name. I then rang again when, on getting back to my room in the evening the room was unbearably hot. I couldn't get the air-con to work. I rang reception, who told me, again very rudely, that it wasn't working and there was nothing they could do. We ended up sleeping with the balcony door open all night and all of us were completely bitten by mosquitos in the morning. By contrast the restaurant and kids' club team (Sofia especially) were AMAZING. Super-friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice but overcrowded, especially as it was off-season. Can't imagine what it would be like in August! The main restaurant was a nice setting and the food was good in the buffet. The lunch we had in the pool bar however was HORRENDOUS. I got a prawn and mango salad, which was - shockingly - made from tinned mangoes and frozen prawns with a sickly-sweet dressing. The patatas bravas and fries were undercooked. We left the lot.

Rooms had no coffee machine, would have to rent for 18€a day if wanted.
To use an iron or steamer you had to pay a deposit.
At the restaurant they charge you for a glass of water. Dinner only option is a less than mediocre buffet. Lunch was sit down and fairly good.
There is absolutely nothing around the hotel so to get any good food you need a car or to use taxi.

Not worth the money.

Hotel is old and tatty, no complimentary water in room. No iron, only steamers that you can use. Basically they want to force you to use the ironing service which is expensive. Certainly not a good four star hotel. More like 3 star plus. Paid over the odds for this hotel in October. Won’t be coming back.

The hotel is on the water and it has easy access also to AU7. Breakfast is excellent and I highly recommend taking this option as there is no coffee maker in the room. I was surprised that they charged me for using the safe box. This is a 4star hotel and you would expect that it be included in the price. Parking was €15 a day and there were some empty spots to park outside. However, the street is super narrow.

A complete train wreck

Where to start? About $400/night in little Estepona, certainly not Marbella.

We arrived in room, no coffee maker, no water…ok, can live with that. But theft-proof fifty cent hangers?!? Painted shrubs? Ca. 1975 scratched-up furniture? No. Also, in fifty years of world travel, I’ve never seen a daily charge for the use of the room safe! Wife went on terrace to relax and closed door behind her and was LOCKED OUT! If she had no phone, she would have had to scream for help. Just imagine.

Hotel’s entry driveway choked with cars and we were trapped behind these selfish slobs for 20 minutes. Management response? “Family checking in - no problem, senor.” No bellman, no one controlling this parking disaster.

Food was just ok, buffet style, corporate cafe ambience. Ugggh. When we tried to eat in the separate table-served dining room, we were very, very rudely told “NO TABLES!” Same surly attitude from most of the staff. Tried to get a bucket of ice at the bar to chill a bottle wine: “NO BUCKET!” Only a plastic glass of ice at a time!

And though I love children, organized kids’ activities go on at all hours, even dinner, at ear-splitting volume.

An absolutely hopeless hotel not worth $200/night. Entire staff and management should be summarily fired and the hotel sold to someone who knows what they’re doing. Please! Meantime, pay whatever you have to but DON’T stay at this disaster

H10 Estepona Summer Holidays

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. It is a 20 min walk to the Marina and a 40 min walk to the centre of Estepona & Taxis were easily got through reception and cost ~€7 to get into town. The all-inclusive drinks selection was top class- we loved that we there was a gluten free beer included in this selection. The room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic- it was an over bath shower but that was fine for us. Others have mentioned the sun lounger situation, Yes, people go down early and pick their spots, but there are always plenty of beds for everyone. The pool attendants bring more out as they are required. There is also the option of using the beds on the beach which was only a few meters away. Having a water dispenser and encouraging people to use re-fillable water bottles & also giving re-usable plastic beakers for poolside drinks rather than disposable cups/glasses were great example of the Hotels \"Green\" initiatives. Some areas for improvement- The pool bar was chaotic at times. While everyone was working very hard (shout out to Alejandro) you always had to wait an extremely long time to get served for food or drink. The buffet restaurant had a great selection but no allergens identified. They were more than happy to walk us through the Gluten free oevery meal (Thanks Mabel) & the options were plentiful once pointed out. For breakfast there really should be a selection of Gluten free items available to choose

The hotel was beautiful looking, like a sand castle. Our room was spacious, very large for a hotel room with a nice balcony. The breakfast buffet was very nice, however the food options the rest of the day were very limited and disappointing. The food in town however was amazing, definitely go into town, not the harbor restaurants. Parking was terrible, dirt lot across the street with not enough space to fit the cars. The worst part was the beach. The \"sand\" was more like gravel and could not be walked on. The first 5 week of the ocean was all rocks. One you got out in the water, there was sand, but get there requires good water shoes. Water was also colder than I expected. I was also shocked to see topless women at the hotel only beach. Not a good place for kids.

The hotel facilities are very nice with a lovely pool open on the beach! Serving really nice cocktails.
The staff on the other hand let the whole thing down from the get go, from the miserable reception staff, to the rude waiters and bartenders. Would AVOID at all costs as it made the holiday miserable. Not a 4* hotel don't even have a kettle in the room and you also have to pay for the safe. All inclusive and won't even give water after the bar closes.

A good hotel

The room was spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was fresh and varied.
My only gripe would be the pool area. There was very little place available for such a large hotel and the limited space was taken up by guests reserving sunbeds with towels from very early in the morning and then not appearing. Maybe a bit more control exercised by the staff would lead to a fairer system. Speaking of towels, you could only change wet pool towels for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon and only once per day. A few more hours and more than one change would be good.
The hotel in general was good and clean but the carpets in the corridor could to with a change or removed all together as they were showing signs of wear and badly stained on some places.
The staff was good and attentive. I would like to single out one particular member of staff who was absolutely wonderful. If the hotel management reads this, I would like to commend Irene from the waiting staff. She is an absolute gem. She is professional, courteous, kind and extremely friendly and she really made our stay special. Well done Irene!!!

Stayed in H10 Hotels before and this one really lets the Hotel chain down. The hotel is very dated and isn't managed properly. General reception areas were dirty including the buffet room. Breakfast was chaotic and not at all organised. Food tasted horrible with cheap ingredients, coffee was undrinkable. Staff looked miserable probably because people complaining constantly. Asked for money for extras that you would expect to be included room safe, beach towels. Very poor! I wouldn't stay again and has put me off staying in any future H10 Hotels.

Basic room with no double bed. We asked to change but any change was an extra 20euro per night. On day two construction started on the floir above our room and after complaining we were moved. I would not stay here again staff were not very nice and every request was an extra fee.

Only thing not perfect in the room was lack of electric sockets and the plug for the bidet was too big so the bidet could not fill up with water- also no bidet towel

The staff were friendly and helpful especially the security staff at the door.
The bed room was a little cluttered with furniture, the bench seat at the foot of the bed was totally unnecessary and reduced the space between the desk and it too much, the standard lamp was also too big and again not necessary and there were not enough electric sockets in the room. I would however book this hotel again without hesitation.

Great stay at this hotel. Pity dining room isn’t more spacious as it was a little crowded. It would have been good to have hot plates as food soon went cold. We paid extra for upgrade to sea view room but this was a waste of money as our room. (447) had a very gloomy balcony with a very restricted view. Otherwise a very nice hotel in a good location handy for a bus stop.

Nice room, good view. Staff not very friendly and you have to pay for everything separately: safe, cash deposit of 15 euro for pool towels. In the evening after 10pm no possibility to buy food, only bread with ham/cheese. Not on walking distance of Estepona city center. Would not go here again.

Rooms need updating, for a 4* hotel there should be complimentary tea and coffee making faculties. We have been visiting this hotel for several years and I think it has gone downhill. We paid 8€ a day for a kettle 2 teabags, 2 sachets of coffee,4 little portions of milk and a bottle of water(2litres). I had to make a complaint and threatened to cancel before I received what I was paying for. The H10 is the only 4* hotel within walking distance of Estepona town!!!

The property itself is gorgeous. Rooms are excellent. Layout is amazing and views are stupendous. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking, if you’ve rented a car, is affordable and secure in their basement. Only drawback was that when told about the excursions the front desk failed to mention that they all went out at 945 in morning.

Breakfast is spot on. Would also recommend renting a car in La liena if coming from Gibraltar. It is 70-100 Euros each way to the hotel from Gibraltar whilst a car can be rented for 2-3 days for €200

Nice building and pool area, but there were not enough parasols so people put towels on Sun beds and didn’t turn up all day! Shocking, but management didn’t bother. The sun beds on the beach were filthy. The self service food was average. We ate out every night. Bedrooms were good size with a balcony and kept clean - very good. Overall, nice stay but could have been better for the price.

Great Room, Weird Policies, Mixed Experiences

My room was spacious, had a great view, and was mostly wonderful. What wasn't, and perhaps it's the 10 Hotel way, included a so-called mini-bar with nothing in it and how that all works (ridicous) and a safe in the room that I had to pay to use that did not work with the key for which I had to pay. In addition, something in the place made me sneeze and have to blow my nose constantly, on toilet paper bkz there was no Kleenex provided. Lastly, the dinner buffet was execrable, even if you managed to get seated. Better to take a taxi to the port and choose a restaurant there, but not the rip-off Il Rosetta. All in all, this hotel has more pluses than minuses, but the problems I have cited should be fixed to make this place more competitive and just plain excellent.

A diamond by the sea

We were on a tour of the Sol from West to East and chose this hotel as it was close to the ocean. We were given a corner room overlooking the pool and ocean on the fourth floor. It was amazing especially hearing the waves in the morning.
The hotel is having a small amount of rooms refurbished and did not effect our stay in any way. The staff are very friendly and are always on hand to help. Massive entrance lobby and plenty of seating areas with a lovely fragrance that is always in the air. Check in was easy and offered sparkling wine or orange juice as a welcome which is a nice gesture.
Live entertainment in the bar area most nights. A good size restaurant for breakfast and dinner with huge selection. Be sure not to wear sliders or flip flops for dinner. Amazing pool area with fantastic pools right on the beach. A bar/restaurant poolside for drinks, tapas or lunch. Reasonable prices. A nice coast walk by beach too.
If you need to go to the town for shops and promenade walk, then I would advise a taxi or bus but you could do it in half hour if you feel like a long walk. A shorter walk is the Marina, around 20 mins. All in all, a good spot, great hotel and fantastic part of the Sol.

Good location & had great Spa. Unfortunately the reception staff were not helpful & everything seemed to be an effort. Beds in the room very uncomfortable & for double bed they just move twin beds with separate duvets together! Would not return to this hotel.

Very disappointing

The room was cold, heating didn’t despite reporting it twice, each time having to wait in a queue at reception. Internet didn’t work when we got there. Once it was ‘fixed’ the signal was so weak, you couldn’t do much with it and you have to keep logging in every time. We were there for a week so I expect this is the norm. We’ve stayed in many hotels along the coast, this is the only one we’ve had s problem with!

Good hotel but a bit too far from amenaties

Nice hotel. Good facilities. Nice communal area bars restauranrs pools etc. The bathrooms in the rooms could do with updating as they looked old and tird as didthe carpets in the corridors. Its a bit ofa walk into estepona and we ended up using taxis a lot but the views from the hotel( situated right on the beach) are very nice.

Great all rounder no serious failings at all

Very good hotel. Big recently refurbished room. Nice common areas particularly around lobby and bar areas, very good pool areas. Service variable to very good. Buffet restaurant so-so but beachside restaurant very good though only open during the day. Rooms would benefit from separate bath and shower instead of over bath. No facilities close by but the marina a 15 minute walk with lots of bars & restaurants. Estepona Town only a $7 taxi and they are always available both ways 24/7

Well situated for access to main routes, town centre and beach. Food catered for everyone, great facilities although arrival/drop off zone was not easily accessible. Cleaning staff entered and cleaned even though the 'do not disturb' sign was placed. Hot drinks facilities, kettle and cups could be provided in the rooms but at present are not. Overall a very pleasant stay, staff efficient and helpful.

Nice hotel but bathrooms are a bit dated. Would of been good if there was a supermarket near by but there was nothing near the hotel. Reception staff were very pleasant. Bar staff were not very friendly.

I can't believe this is rated 5 stars. It's 3 at best. The floor is missing tiles, the place is dirty, but most disappointing was the restaurant. Well, you can't really call it that either. It's a food hall with limited and low quality food selections.

Nice family friendly hotel

We had a good stay at H10 Estepona Palace. Our room was very clean and the cleaners came in every day. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good choice of food. One thing that was annoying was the children’s pool didn’t open until 10am and main pool until 11am, I’m sure most families would agree this is very late! We were up very early everyday with our little boy who really wanted to get into the pool. An annoying thing that happened was we paid the same amount as other family members for a wedding and a few of them got upgraded and we didn’t, their rooms were unbelievable so this was a bit disappointing. Also my husbands cousin who at the age of 22 suffered from a stroke, she had no choice but to stay in her parents room. On asking if they could add a sofa bed was told to pay €70 a day, I feel this was very bad and the hotel could have had a heart and let them have it for free. I wouldn’t go back to this hotel mainly because in this area the beach is not nice but I would use another H10 hotel elsewhere

Fabulous hotel, brilliant holiday

Really enjoyed our stay at H10 Estepona Palace, all of the staff were helpful and knew their jobs inside out. The animation team were excellent and entertained children and adults alike. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout. The food was great with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. We preferred to be seated outside as the restaurant could be noisy. Our room was well appointed with a good sea view and plenty of space. Shower was very powerful and towels were a good size. We might have liked tea and coffee making facilities in our room but the absence of these didn’t spoil our stay in any way.

Great and easy to find location. The hotel had all the amenities required, food, entertainment, breakfast choice and a superb pool arrangement. Kids and adults can’t fail to enjoy the two pools and it’s never overcrowded. Enjoy!

Nice hotel with a few issues

Wonderful hotel visually, as we walked in there is was a lovely, spa like smell and the huge reception was gabled and open with lots of cosy seating areas over two levels. We were Privilege and had a great top floor room with a big balcony with two sun beds and a table and chairs. Room was large, good bathroom and clean. Huge bed but didn’t like the thick plastic mattress protector, I could feel it was thick as it felt quite hard and was also noisy.
Unfortunately what we didn’t enjoy was the restaurant. Breakfast buffet had a great selection but was incredibly noisy - the Privilege guests had their own area closely guarded by the staff but it was right next to the staff clearing up bay where they constantly threw the crockery, cutlery etc into I assume sinks or receptacles.... anyone sitting near this (Privilege or not) would find this irritating and uncomfortably loud.
We didn’t enjoy the buffet food on offer for dinner in here.... it was neither terrible or lovely..... just disappointing and not our cup of tea for an evening meal. Lovely French restaurant down the road, Petit Paris or a drive into Estepona town was much more our preferred option. That said the BBQ night in the a la carte restaurant was good, such a shame we couldn’t eat in here every night (Privilege or not, it wasn’t open for dinner or breakfast - the Gran Tinerife H10 in Tenerife was fab for this very reason - food here exceptional but that’s another story!)
Overall we would come here again B&B only.
