The 2 bed/2 bath suite is large with some updated features. The furnishings are low-end, but adequate. There is loads of hot water for showers/dishes. The bathrooms need a good cleaning with bleach to get rid of mold on the tile edges. The beds are basic and not very comfortable. The pillows are cheap/flat and 2 to a bed with a very thin duvet (no blankets). The towels, all two and a bathmat are thin and worn, but clean. Our \"gift\" consisted of a paper dish rag, one dishwasher tablet, and two pouches of dishsoap. There is ONE tea towel in the kitchen and 2 towels and a bath mat in each bathroom. Trying to find this hotel is not easy - signage is a real problem. We were there for two nights and it was okay given the price. Not sure if we would return.

Views (I was on the 3rd floor looking to the golf course? Were AMAZING, property looked like it could have been better maintained, rooms were a bit dusty when checked in, would have loved room cleaning services without asking. But I noticed that it is part of the Spanish culture to not care too much and customer service is not a strong point in that culture, other than that breakfast was worth every penny. 4 out of 5 for me.

Staff was friendly and make us feel welcome. The room was big with two rooms, two baths, kitchen, living space and terrace. The space was well equipped however the furniture it is old the room had view to the golf course and a little of the sea. The property itself it is big with a lot buildings and spaces but the whole property looks outdated some of the amenities are closed or it's been a couple of years that they are not in use. Most of the elevators do not work. We were told that the laundry was included but at the time of our stay we did not get a cleaning kit for the room that was included in our reservation. The property has a lot potential needs some upgrades. Also will be good to have a shuttle between the hotel and Steppona to mkae it easier to communte.

First off they were very disorganized at check in, some people even got into an argument about who was next. There was also a problem with alarms in the lobby and the fire alarm as well went off one day, the noise was very annoying. It very far from everything. Overall was ok but we will not choose this place again.

Quite possibly the worst place I have walked into in Spain, we checked in and then straight out again. There is no way I would stay there let alone with 3 children. The place is unsafe, dirty, mouldy and smelly. Broken lifts with exposed lift shafts, broken furniture, mouldy stained furniture. We were offered an alternative room, apparently their best one, that smelt worse than the first. Am currently waiting for a refund

Das Hotel Ona Valle Romano ist von außen in keinem guten Zustand, ein neuer Anstrich würde gut tun.
Wir hatten für drei Nächte eine Ferienwohnung mit 2 SZ mit 73 qm. Die Ferienwohnung war hervorragend mit einer großen Küche und allem Zubehör ausgestattet. Ein großer Balkon mit Tisch, Stühlen und zwei Liegestühlen war ebenso dabei. Die Wohnung war ziemlich neu eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Leider lässt das Buffettrestaurant sehr zu wünschen übrig. Der Raum ist sehr kahl, die Stühle haben Holzfüße ohne Filzgleiter, so dass ständig ein sehr lautes Kratzen der Stühle war. Das Frühstücksbüffet war gut. Alles vorhanden!
Leider war das Abendessen eine Katastrophe. Am ersten Tag bekam man das Essen serviert. Ich bekam innen schwarze Kartoffeln, der Brokkoli und der Blumenkohl warn bräunlich und der Fisch zäh wie Gummi. Die Nachspeise war am Buffet. Dort waren u.a. Ananas, die braun angerändert waren. Die anderen Tage war Buffet. Dieses war besser. Man fand sich etwas, aber ich konnte nicht mehr mit Appetit dort essen.
Also bei Buchung überlegen, ob man entweder nur das Apartment oder nur das Frühstück dazu bucht.

Great apartment for size but if self-catering it's lacking in equipment, eg teatowel, baking tin, whisk, casserole dish other than a small one. We should have had a towel and linen change on day 5 of 7 but none were forthcoming. Some instructions as to use of cooker and dishwasher would be handy.

We enjoyed our stay at Ona Valle Romano. There are a number of self catering apartments with reception and 2 restaurants. We were very happy with our apartment which had a good balcony overlooking the golf course. We did not have any meals but breakfast and evening meals are provided. The WiFi worked well, although there was only one channel on the TV in English. Good hot water. There is free parking outside the accommodation, only problem is later in the evening it is difficult to find a spot.

Lovely OneValle Romano Resort Overlooking Estepona

It was a lovely spacious room, we booked last minute for one night in view of the condition of our accommodation in Manilva. We booked at 7pm + arriving at 8pm was not a problem. The restaurant was very good along with helpful staff. If we had to comment on anything it was that the swimming pool was not open by 11am on 5th October when we checked-out.

Left disappointed with a lack of detail

The actual accomodation is generous but it really disappoints in the kitchen which is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge freezer, toaster. BUT no plug for the
sink, no kettle, no washing up brush, no washing up liquid, no dishwasher tablets. The dishwasher has no salt or water softener. With very little spend Ona would really improve the facility.

This was our second time staying here, had a better experience the first time. Paid extra for sea views, couldn’t see the sea, overgrown trees and shrubs may have been obstructing the view.
Stayed for 6 nights, on day two, I went to reception to ask for fresh towels, was told the cleaners would come the next day.
Cleaning services did not show up at all through our holiday.
Thankfully there was a washing machine, so I washed our towels throughout our stay.

We had a pleasant stay at Ona Valle Romana, certainly for such a good price the quality of the apartment is good. We had a 2 bedroom apartment, it was meant to be sea facing but it was facing the road which was a disappointment. The apartment was relatively clean, probably could do with a more thorough level of cleaning but was well stocked with complimentary cleaning supplies, tea coffee. Only 1 of 3 pools open at the time. Recommend hiring a car although taxis are easy to come by and quite cheap.

Booked for family of 5. Upon arrival looked like it was prison blocks. Huge queues for check in more staff needed to handle the volumes of customers. Resort would really benefit for a good clean and a lick of paint to freshen it up. Sofa bed was possible to use due to it being like lying of a bed of exposed springs. After raising the issue hotel management did little to address the issue. was told the room was quiet had all the staff cleaners and restaurant staff constantly wheel stuff out outside the room even at 11:30 at night. Bins being emptied waking you up every morning. Really disappointed and would highly recommend to avoid this hotel/apartment

A very nice Appartment in an area close to Estepona centre. Good size room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Sofa and bed beds not very comfortable, but overall the room was good. Half board food started well in the restaurant, but mid way through evening meal changed to the buffet room, which was like a large noisy workman cafe. Overall the food was only OK

Seriously the most terrible hotel experience, hairs in the room, used mugs As the place had obviously not been cleaned, strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, you could heard dogs barking from different directions, the Wi-Fi is not free, they make you pay 5$, they offer a what’s app use Wi-Fi for free but I’m sure it didn’t work much, you can hear cars driving by on the highway as well, this was so bad I checked out after 20 minutes and did not even stay here.

Good location for Estapona, reseanoably priced accommodation not close to the sea or anything, however provided you're driving it is not too remote.

Main gripe was the lousy wifi, with the cheek of them trying to get you to pay for a faster service which is still slower than teetering with my phone.

If they could sort out out there wifi, this will be my goto hotel for the SOL

Unless you are a keen golfer (the golf area looks good) I wouldn’t stay here again. The apartment itself is good and would be good for a group of friends but as a couple the hotel itself Feels like a prison block. Everywhere is a mission to get too and because it all looks the same your easily lost.
It’s not far by taxi to get into the centre of Estepona (approx €10/15) but other than that its fairly isolated.

We only stayed there as we needed somewhere close to a friends wedding, But I guess this hotel is great for a a group of friends who love golf but if your looking for a romantic hotel as a couple I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel was fantastic ,apartment looked just like thee pictures and was really quiet which was perfect with a 2 and 7 yr old. However one stay there over a weekend in June . At about 10pm on the Fri night literally 100s of kids arrived for a football tournament to be held at night and their parents then arrived too. literraly 900/1000 people ,mostly kids, screaming chsnting songs hanging banners etc nightmare. I went to reception to be told i had to understand this was the Spanish family dynamic ! I've spent a lot of time in Spain since a child ,some with family over there, and this is not typical behaviour . This was incredible .So bad the hotel had laid on security!!! I was told i could have a refund if i was unhappt and leave,with two small children after 10pm......i asked to be moved as the hundreds of people were congregating in a small shared garden along side my apartment.the manager moved us to what he assured was tge penthouse worth no one else around us ,that is come see him in the morning and tell him how happy i was .no, the new room was .much smaller, lesser quality and most importantly had only a small single room and one double.gor four of us. This is noe nearer 11pm and im back in reception incredulous that what he had told me was so inaccurate. We were moved again to another apartment .still lesser quality than our original but at least it had enough beds .the sage had no batteries and the we couldn't make the aircon work. rang reception ,was told system cl

Stayed at Valle Romano resort and it was very nice indeed. The views from the golf course to the seas and mountains were exceptional.
The resort is going through its final phase of construction and will be completed by the end of the July which include a further pool, additional EATERIES. and suana and spa facilities.
Overall, this was a great place to chill out and explore or just relax within the excellent rooms and terraces.

Would certainly stay there again.

We stayed here one night only in March 2019. The apartment was immaculate, felt like we were the first people in it. Spacious, well equipped, clean, absolutely amazing. Struggling to find anything to criticise other than the shower wasn't adjustable which for someone short was a small problem. Breakfast was fantastic. We aren't golfer and were only using it as a base. You do need a car to get anywhere. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back again later in the year.

Where to start.. Arrival at 4pm on a Friday can be very busy and difficult to park. Staff don't tell you that there are luggage carriers so make sure you have a euro unlike us who got sent to the wrong room carrying a baby, pram, 2 suitcases and food. During the week the hotel is quiet, at weekends its a party hotel. Had to complain about the noise, had to investigate myself and then force security to knock on the door. On the plus side we stayed in a Penthouse with 2 bedrooms. The apartment was modern, plenty of room on the balcony and a view to die for. Ok there could be more equipment in the kitchen like a kettle, a sharp knife other than a bread knife and a decent frying pan (we had to buy our own) and the WIFI can be a bit intermittent if you've got more than one device on but the rooms were cleaned 3 times during our stay with fresh towels and you don't always get this in a self-catering apartment. Customer Service is complete let down in every sense of the imagination. Don't dare to meander on to the golf course in the evening for a stroll, we got locked in, staff were rude and unhelpful. We had to change rooms 3 times due to the water tower next to our room banging in the middle of the night. Staff wouldn't even help me move my wife and baby, inc travel cot, they just sat in reception and watched me carry the mattress on my back!! Cannot overstate how bad customer service is here. Location is remote you need a car and breakfast is stale. Not my best review.

Well equipped modern appartment near Estepona. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and well equipped kitchen hob, oven, microwave, sink, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker. No kettle, or tea towels and lacked some kitchen equipment but generally very good. We particularly liked the balcony/ verandah - very large with beautiful views of the hills, golf course, and the coast and ample room to eat and sunbathe. Outside table and chairs, and loungers provided.
One Valle Romano is just outside Estepona. It is off the A7 coastal road leaving Estepona. However it is quite a long way on the minor road about 2 Kms. I think It would be difficult without a car. Only 1 swimming pool was operating during our stay as it was October. It was cold, however nice to relax around.
Generally we enjoyed our stay and found it good value for money and would definately return.

Pros: - Clean apartment with beautiful views of mountains, sea and golf course. Each bedroom had own bathroom.Good breakfasts but no British tea offered in machines. Clean amenities. Clubhouse close by for alternative dining. Aldi within 5 minutes drive for essentials. Check in/ out easy and friendly
Cons. A car is an absolute must as the apartments are about 2 k off the main road . Balcony overlooked by Penthouse apartments. No kettle and very few cooking utensils. T.V in bedroom did not work. Basics like salt would have been appreciated. No way to get back into the apartment if you close the patio doors to the balcony.

This is not really a hotel. It is a golf resort that rents out condo units. There is no housekeeping, there is virtually NO Wifi. They simply blame it on the internet provider however their wifi works perfect for them. There are no amenities nearby and the kitchen was very poorly stocked. I would not recommend this as a hotel.

We had the penthouse which was clean and spacious.. but... It's lacking even the basics. This is a complex based around self catering No kettle.. No tea towels.. No cooking trays.. basic plates and cups for the occupancy. Sofa bed was damaged and unusable TV one English news channel. Wi-Fi password was given eventually but no connection. Vile 90's music blaring ( jive bunny ? Really? in 2018) out most days for hours on end with a dj ? set around pool area 1. Pools.. don't expect a sunbed they have about 10 in each of the two pool areas. Smell of toilets particularly bad around pool area. Underground parking
charged at €8 per day. Street parking a nightmare after 3pm. Reception check in was slow and borderline rude we stood 20 minutes before she even looked at us never mind said hello. No information given. Check out happily was quicker.. took the keys off me and said \"ok you can go now\" There are some nice points.. the air con is a bonus. The apartment was clean on arrival and had nice views. How would I describe?... It's not a hotel room... but it's certainly not self catering either.. wouldn't use again.

Excellent stay

The apartment was modern and spacious, and a fantastic location. Although a car was needed to get around.

It wasn’t clear that there wouldn’t be cleaning and clean towels every day.

Pools were a good size but there was not enough sun loungers for the amount of people staying at the complex.

WiFi was not working throughout our stay

Could have been better :(

Card entry system to room did not work. Had to return to reception 4 times. Distance from room to reception not practical plus it is uphill and in the exterior. Not ideal in the baking sun or in the dark of night. Parking is a nightmare in peak season. Area very quiet and tranquil but there are many better places to stay in.

Lovely resort near Estepona

We loved the resort. Our accommodation was very spacious and well-equipped. The resort is in a nice area and has lovely views. Facilities were adequate with a nice pool, restaurant and bar and 2 small gyms. Wd also found plenty of parking. The only drawback is that there are no shops or restaurants nearby but this wasn't much of a problem since we had a car.

Very nice apartments with a few drawbacks

Excellent, clean, very comfortable apartment in a huge complex but there are a few drawbacks. The water heater in the kitchen leaks, the WIFI did not work, there were 2 pools and 1 was closed for repair so there were way too many people at the 1 pool that was open, they claim to have a gym but it is hardly what I would call a gym, parking late at night is a problem....no spaces. It is a nice place for families.

Good option. you need a car

Very far out and you will need a car to get there. Parking was free. This is a new and huge facility. teh family room we took was very comfortable and all appliances etc. were new and in excellent condition. We did not buy the breakfast option. There is an Aldi down the road with a bakery shop and other breakfast options. Will recommend that. The only draw back about this hotel is that it is noisy, at least in the room we stayed in.

There was no welcome pack to tell you about the resort and surrounding area. There were no places within walking distance that you could go for breakfast or just coffe. No instruction in the apartment for the cooker.
No information about activities on at the resort. No information about the local amenities. Parking was not good when you returned at night.
The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Worth a one night stay

We are traveling without hotel reservations in order to have freedom of when our day ends. This hotel was on the golf course thinking we would stay and play. First very difficult to find far from main road. After finally finding it the reception was pleasant but after 2 trys and moving us to 2 different rooms far apart with luggage in tow (thru construction areas where concrete is all busted up) she could not get our key made. After much waiting we finally got in. Room is large and very clean with full kitchen that is for looks only. No pans glasses plates utensils nothing! Who comes to a golf resort to stay for a few days and brings their Kitchen with them? That being said if you do not have course view the hotel itself is quite unattractive. We decided it was not worth staying another night

Good for golfers

Booked a 2 bedroom apartment and got put in a 1 bedroom. Really basic amenities in the apartment such as laughably small TV. Also one of the cabinet doors in the kitchen was installed so it didn't allow the dishwasher/laundry or whatever it was to open. Just seemed phoned in. Super nice property it seemed like. Just seemed like a rush job.
