Great place for family vacation. Family enjoyed the buffet for dinner and breakfast. However, a bit far with our primary reason for being there was the see the city of Split.

The hotel is fantastic for families with children. The beach has a beautiful environment with lots of greenery, and the waterslide by the pool is great — just like the smaller, covered pool for the youngest kids. The food and the variety of food were fabulous.
What’s absurd and negative is the morning “reservation” of sunbeds by the pool with towels and personal belongings by people who arrived hours after we did — we almost had nowhere to put our things. The hotel does not address this situation and leaves it up to the guests to sort it out themselves.

I didn't appreciate being nickle and dimed and being forced to pay for parking after paying $500 per night. I asked for a frozen pina colada at the bar and they didn't know what that was. While breakfast and dinner are included, expect to still pay for a cup of coffee. The price for a ,below average, double espresso is 7.5€.
Even though the resort has more than plenty of parking available also expect yo pay 13€ / day for parking.
We ran out of sunscreen and asked the recpetion if there was anywhere we could get sunscreen at the resort. We were directed to the spa where we were changed 50€ for a travel sized packaging of SPF.
There is no bell boy after 10PM so if you arrive after 10PM you will have to manage with your own luggage. However, we checked out at 10A.M. on a Sunday and were told there was no one available to help us at check out so ....just don't expect help.

We stayed for 6 nights at this hotel and thought it was excellent! We loved the atmosphere especially with our two children aged 3 and 8. The food was excellent and the facilities all well organised and very clean. The star of the holiday was the kids club - our children have never been to a children’s club while on holiday before but this time we could hardly get them out of it - amazing staff, very safe and well run with a full itinerary of varied and exciting activities for them to get up to as well as multiple academies! This was our first trip to a falkensteiner resort but we would definitely be keen to go again after this brilliant experience - thank you very much!

Awesome family resort with so much to do for sporty families. Great room with a climbing wall. Fortis gym and gaming room was absolutely amazing. Food was so good. Beautiful beach. Our son said that this is his favorite hotel and we all really loved it.

Not really a 5 star hotel but it was nice. The pool was lovely. Went half board but drinks in evening expensive which bumps up the cost. Rooms are not good for teenagers, beds not standard size. Asked reception for extra pillow 3 times but didn’t come, asked the maid instead who got one for us. Taxi to airport 60 euro, taxi to town 30 euro one way. Wouldn’t stay again but would recommend to anyone who has young children.

All in all this was very nice weekend stay in very good hotel. Pool area was big enough with plenty of deck chairs and the beach was very close.
There was wide choice of freshly made food for dinner and breakfast. Only the drink servis at dinner was rather slow. Otherwise it was nice to get late check out (2 pm).
At check out we were a bit surprised that hotel was not informed about our advanced payment to the Hotel.com but the situation was settled soon enough.

Amazing location for families. We had a 15 month old and a four year old and they had more fun than we did. The location is great and has everything you could ever want. Every staff member was extremely nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant is unbeatable considering it is a buffet style. Plenty of local, international, and basic dishes. The children's facilities are great and will ensure that they have a place to use their energy up after sitting in cars and airplanes for hours. We are definitely going to stay in another Falkensteiner hotel at some point.

Should work on exterior closer to the beach as it is not up to par with the rest of the hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at the Falkensteiner Family Hotel Diadora. This was a trip FOR our kids (ages 4,4) in mind. Great all inclusive, the food/buffet style was good and had a great variety. The rooms were clean and spacious. The many pools and waterslide was a hit for the kids. The indoor playground and play areas were fun as well. Our only CON would be the beach that is right off the property is not a sandy one and was quite a disappointment for us simply because, we really wanted a nice beach. It was more \"lake like\". This CON was not enough to \"ruin\" our trip though. The kids were happy with the many hours in the beautiful pools and continue to ask to go back - so still a WIN. The only other trouble was booking transfer to/from the airport. The site did not \"take\" my dates and the response seemed like a brush off - no worries though, I was able to book thru suntransfers and it was cheaper; but I easily could have grab a taxi on site and I think the cost would have been even cheaper.

Warm, friendly and fun. A lovely family hotel, where nothing is too much trouble and the staff are delightful. The grounds, swimming pools, beach and surrounding areas are beautifully maintained and we had a truly relaxing weeks holiday. The food is excellent, with a wide variety to suit all, including very picky children!

Great hotel with excellent facilities for children
Stayed for four nights with a 4month old and two year old. Facilities were amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel was very quiet. Food was good and we always found something to eat. The food got a little repetitive but we were only there for four nights so this did not affect us. There are lots of buggies to use and the baby corner was very useful. We did not use the kids club as the minimum age is 3 but we were able to take the kids into the areas and supervise our kids. The heated pools were great as it was a little chilly some mornings and afternoons. This was a quiet hotel with very little evening entertainment. No entertainment for adults but if you are looking for a relaxing hotel with great facilities for the children then this hotel will not dissapoint. Also although the hotel accepts euros, the main and sometimes only currency accepted in the local shop and town is the local currency which we did not know before we traveled.

We loved: the breezy decoration of the rooms, the views from the room, the water slide and all the pools, the freshness and variety of the food, the light wines available lunch and dinner with the meal, the massage for children with gift at the end (my 8-year old loved this), the live music at dinner, the friendly hotel staff, the walk along the coastline with the incredible view of the sea and distant mountains.
We did not much like: that coffee was only available for free at breakfast (why cheap out on a cup of coffee at an upscale resort when every other hotel in Europe provides free coffee in the room???), that the bottom of the pools wasn't as clean as they should have been, that the beach area was so small and more rock than sand, that the dining room was so loud (yes, we were 800 people eating there, but there are ways to dampen sound in a cavernous room), that there were no seashells (somehow, we thought there would be, but that's not the hotel's fault), the children's entertainment (but then, adults always think children will enjoy high-pitched, super-excited and artificially funny characters - maybe some do, but mine doesn't care for it), and the absence of a shuttle service for a hotel so far from Zadar city center and the airport.
In short, we had a great time there and we loved the food, the room, the staff, and the pools. Those things we didn't like were either easy fixes for the hotel or just the type of beach available in that area.

It's all about the kids
Everything you can imagine this Hotel has for kids!. It took me 48hrs to get use to being in a hotel designed for children but I got it and went with it. The Hotel was fantastic for my 13,9&3 year old catered for all 3 age groups.
Staff were very attentive and it was nice that us as parents get that children play up sometimes and cry and make noise and because of this you felt at ease and not judged.

We have been there 3 times now, always excellent on all categories; food, cleanliness, service. Only negative is the lifeguarding as they are often not there, asleep, on their iPhones or don't much care what happens in the pool.

We just returned this week from our 5 day stay at the Falkenstiner. The pools and beach were nice and I enjoyed you could walk along the path to little inlets to discover other swimming alcoves. However, I have to say the buffet left a lot to be desired, especially at dinner time. I also didn't care for the kids swimming classes. They were 10 minutes long and consisted of swimming two laps. Overall I liked our stay but think I could have cut it short to 2 full days and went to another hotel to see more of Croatia.

Really enjoyed our stay at diadora. Great beach right at the hotel. Fabulous kids club. I never leave my kids at kids club and this is one where I can go too but they still are able to mix with the other kids. Fantastic! Wifi was absolutely rubbish and impossible to get reliable reception on phone and wifi. But that was the only negative point about our stay

Getaway not too far from the City
Good hotel esp for families with children. The hotel has a lot of good amenities, from sauna's to spa (extra charges apply) and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Its reasonably close to Zadar (30-45 min ride from airport), in case you want a break not too far out. Unfortunately the hotel isnt very accessible if you dont have your car or a taxi. The closest bus stop is over a 20-25min walk away. Parking charges apply for your own vehicle.

Family hotel with too many people
Room fantastic, large family rooms with separate kids quarters. Beach relatively small and semi public although sandy and good for kids. Pool area great, food great. The only issue is the amount of people for the size of hotel. When you have to constantly hunt for empty tables at dinner on the terrace or beach beds by the pool then the experience becomes problematic. Kids love it, i'm not sure parents love it the same.

Superb Resort for Families
We came during the low season i.e. before the mayday weekend and had the best time ever. Room was clean, modern, and surprisingly had a separate room for the kids (not pull out bed). All beautifully designed, filled with small details and \"secret\" closets. Small but well used space. Welcome gifts were there, and two most important segments:
- daycare for kids from 9am to 9 pm with possibility of taking the kids to lunch and/or dinner and nap. We used this time for sauna mostly :)
- vegan option (food was not the best ever, but they tried and were extremely accommodating)
The only downside is smoking - it was not permitted in the rooms but the person in the room below us smoke cigars. We complained but were told there is nothing they could do so we had to keep the balcony door closed most of the time.
In the end of the day - yes, we will go there again.
Last but not list - by a mistake I booked wrong dates, called immediately and thanks to Michelle from Expedia.com it got resolved so easily. Otherwise we would have to pay additional night. We are so grateful for that.

we just got home from the hotel in croatia. the hotel was brand new and lovely , all the works. 4 pools a water slide, indoor pool. the facilty was clean and well maintaned. just all the big pools ar 4 feet of water there is no childerns pool . the food was good but they only give you breakfast lunch and dinner all inculsive thourgh ou the day you need to pay for you r own thing ie ; drinks, snacks

This was a very impressive hotel and the service was second to none. However it was out of season and only had 60ish guests. The hotel caters for 900 so I imagine it would be very crowded at peak season.It is designed with families in mind and would be great for an activity type holiday. The food was excellent and the rooms very comfortable. The only fault we have is that it was too far from Zadar for us although their was a daily shuttle bus to it's sister hotel which is nearer to the centre. Otherwise a great hotel - extremely clean and modern.

Trotz der Dynamik, die ein Familienhotel zwangsläufig mitbringt, wurde tagtäglich für ein sehr hochwertiges Buffeterlebnis gesorgt. Viele hausgemachte Produkte, vielfältige Auswahl ohne Abfertigungscharakter. Liebevoll gestaltete Familienzimmer und hochwertig ausgestattete Spielbereiche. Mitarbeiter:innen im Kidsclub waren sehr engagiert und motiviert. Gute Lage mit komfortabler Distanz zum Flughafen, Stadt und diversen Ausflugszielen.
In Summe ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ganz stimmig. Reguläre Room Rate und Preise für Getränke und Parken in Relation zur Destination meiner Meinung nach zu hoch. Die Kellnerin hat uns bemerkt und uns auch Getränke gebracht, aber Besteck, Servietten etc. haben wir nicht bekommen. Haben uns selbst das selber holen müssen - man bedenke dass man ja in einem 5* Hotel eig ist und viel Geld bezahlt hat

Soggiornato nell'ultima settimana di agosto. Il resort non era pienissimo, quindi gli spazi sono stati sufficienti per un buon soggiorno. Struttura bella e abbastanza pulita. Personale abbastanza cordiale, alle volte un pò in difficoltà, soprattutto a cena, nel rendere disponibili i tavoli dopo il precedente utilizzo. Trattasi di un family resort, quindi con numerose attrazioni per il gioco dei bambini. Poi però i campi di tennis e padel sono a pagamento, così come il water park, il bowling, etc... Poichè il costo del soggiorno, essendo un 5 stelle è molto alto, uno si aspetta che almeno le esperienze per i bambini, in un family hotel siano comprese, così come succede in tantissimi family hotel di livello in cui abbiamo già soggiornato. Anche il parcheggio era a pagamento, con la quota di 13 euro al giorno, senza opportunità di scelta. Anche questo non ci era mai successo. Mancia di 10 euro al giorno caricata automaticamente nella fattura finale. Noi l'abbiamo lasciata, ma si dovrebbe lasciare la scelta al cliente. Così si mettono solo i clienti in difficoltà morale e non è giusto, a prescindere dalle buone intenzioni del resort che mira a riconoscere anche chi lavora dietro le quinte. Questa cosa, però, non dev'essere appannaggio del cliente, ma del resort stesso. In generale un buon soggiorno, ma non lo ripeterei, nè mi sentirei di consigliarlo a famiglie con bambini. Ci sono altri family resort in Trentino Alto Adige che praticano davvero il tutto compreso, senza stress.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was excellent and very varied – there was always something new and delicious to try. Our room was spotless and well maintained, which made us feel very comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One of the highlights for us were the playrooms – there are two: one for younger children and one for older kids. Our children absolutely loved them and spent hours playing there.
For the little ones, there are both indoor and outdoor pools, which were perfect for all kinds of weather.
The hotel also offers a wide range of activities for kids, which kept them entertained and happy the whole time.
We can definitely recommend this hotel for families!

Perfekt für Familien mit Kindern. Die Animation ist so gut das die Kinder sehr gerne viel Zeit dort verbringen. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen.

Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und in gutem Zustand. Man sieht das hier kontrolliert und nachgebessert wird. Dadurch wirkt alles immer gepflegt.
Das Buffet ist riesig und auch hier für jeden was dabei. Stets wird nachgefüllt gereinigt und abgeräumt.
In Summe ein guter Urlaub.

Das Gaminangebot verspricht mehr als es kann. Es gibt z.b. keine Academy, wo man etwas lernt, wie es im Angebot steht. Es gibt einen Raum mit 6 Konsolen und 2 PCs. Da können die Kids frei zocken. Das Internet ist mies und es gibt wenig Spiele. Da geht noch mehr. Die VR Brille gab es nur auf dem Foto. Im Fortis lässt man das spielen lieber. Für 10€ die Stunde auf Konsolen, um die sich niemand kümmert (Spiele, Updates, Internet).
Der Relax-Raum ist eine tolle Idee, leider benutzen einige Gäste den als Abkürzung zur Terrasse, was ein relaxen hier unmöglich macht. Die Liegen sollen eigentlich nicht mit Handtüchern reserviert werden, aber viele sind stundenlang blockiert und die Regel wird vom Personal nicht durchgesetzt.
Den Preis für das Plüschmaskottchen einfach von einem Tag auf den anderen zu erhöhen, ohne die Preisauszeichnung zu ändern ist schwach.
Das Unternehmen machte 2023 über 30mio€ Gewinn also gute Löhne statt Trinkgeldpauschale und das wieder dem Gast überlassen. Beim Checkout Trinkgeld geben geht auch ohne es im Vorfeld auf die Rechnung zu setzten.

Disappointing Experience – Far from 5-Star
Our stay at Falkensteiner Zadar was disappointing and far from what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. I had to call the reception at least five times within an hour before anyone answered. After requesting some basic items, it took another hour for them to arrive. Bathrobes for kids were missing, and since no one picked up the phone, I had to go to the reception myself—something that could’ve been avoided if the room was properly prepared based on the reservation.
The hotel charges €13/day for parking, which feels unreasonable given the location on the outskirts and the fact that the garage was only 25% full during pre-season. Ice cream is only served at dinner, and the kindergarten for kids under 3 is free for just 2 hours, staffed by only one person. Despite being half full, the service was slow and inconsistent. I can't imagine the situation when it's at full capacity.
To top it off, they include a €10/day “voluntary” tip by default, which is unacceptable.
On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and the food was mostly good (aside from the beef soup). Still, compared to similar family hotels like Amarin or Lišanj, this one does not justify its high price or 5-star label.

Leider ist die Unterkunft aus unsere Sicht kein 5 Sterne Haus. Die Sauberkeit in den Gängen und Treppenhäusern lies zu wünschen übrig. Der Service war bis auf den Barkeeper mittelmäßig. Hervorzuheben sind die Zimmer und die Qualität des Essens. Alles in allem nicht der Standard den ich von einem Falkensteiner Hotel erwarte.

Die Wege in der Anlage sind relativ weit, es ist ein riesiges Areal, der Zugang zum Meer ist ebenfalls relativ weit und umständlich.

Das Hotel ist bestens für Familien mit Kleinkinder geeignet. Tolle Lage auf der Halbinsel mit schönen Strandabschnitten. Die Anlage ist schön gestaltet, ist natürlich als Familien-Hotel etwas lauter. Bei Buchung bitte beachten, dass die Kinderbetten eine maximale Länge von 170 cm haben - es gibt keine größeren Betten in den Kinder-Schlafzimmer. Bei älteren und größeren Kinder ein Problem. Leider hatten wir diese Info bei der Buchung nicht - für uns wurde aber eine absolut zufriedenstellende Lösung durch das Hotel-Management gefunden. Das Essen ist qualitativ hochwertig und geschmacklich top. Einziger Kritikpunkt...bei Frühstück und Abendessen wirken die Kellner überfordert - liegt an der Unterbesetzung. Hier muss auf jeden Fall nachgebessert werden. Ansonsten absolute Empfehlung.

Second time we stayed in this hotel. We came here to relax for two days before continuing our road trip through Croatia. The hotel is perfect for this. The rooms are spacious with all modern comfort. Outside you have great pools and a slide for the kids to enjoy. The buffets (breakfast and evening) are huge with for everybody something to their taste. The nearby city of Zadar is really worth a visit, you can already get a taste of it in half a day.

What a fantastic hotel! The staff was wonderfull and very friendly! The room was lovely, the kids loved the climbing area. The food was made with love. I especially loved the Indian/Thai food. The chef was friendly and always smiling. The playing areas for the kids were super. For every age something to do. Falkensteiner hotel thanx for this wonderful and relaxing vacation!

Kids super happy kids, parents relaxed & well-fed
It was an amazing stay. The hotel was clean and fresh, the food was beyond expectations, the personnel are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are really nice and comfortable, and the hotel kept our kids busy and happy the whole time.
The food: We didn't have lunch included but were totally surprised by the vast variety of food offered at breakfast and dinner. Also, everything was so delicious and fresh. Our picky kids would always find something they like and we had a hard time choosing what to eat, ending up in food coma after every meal. The food was simply amazing.
The rooms: Very comfortable beds, very spacious. We were in a 33 sq.m. room which was decorated perfectly for a family with kids. It had a cozy climbing wall that our daughter really enjoyed, a spacious wardrobe and a high quality bathroom. The kids also had tehir own little room inside our room with a door and a nice little bunkbed.
The amenities: Our kids loved the hotel. Three separate large play rooms, each with a specific focus group in mind. The hotel also offers lots of activities throughout the day, every day. The pool area also makes kids of all ages very happy. Vorallem merkt man dass hier auf die Kinder sehr großen Wert gelegt wird. Diese wurden immer sehr gut unterhalten und es gab genug Spielaktivitäten um sie „auszupowern“. Meine Kinder (3J. & 5J) hatten großen Spaß! Es gab für Babys auch einen extra Raum mit Waschmaschinen und Baby Brei, welches Rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung stand - das fand ich echt klasse! Ein wirklich wunderschönes, modernes Familienhotel - welches wir sehr gerne wieder besuchen ❤️ Wird auf jeden Fall weiterempfohlen.
