Very pretty and clean hotel, from the lobby to the rooms. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Staff were helpful and polite. Close proximity to the old town, by car. Only regret was not having time to visit the spa with indoor pool and sauna.

Don’t book a comfort room. Place is tired.

Room was clean. Comfort rooms all have awful views over the kitchen and air duct system. The air conditioning didn’t work. There are no lifts in the building. Felt a bit tired.

Gorgeous hotel with fabulous food on a great beach

Great hotel on the beach. Our room 207 looked across the garden to the pool with a glimpse of the sea beyond. The pool is gorgeous. The meals were amazing. Huge selection at breakfast and more than you can eat for dinner. It’s a good idea to do the half board as we didn’t see lots of dining options close by. And the food truly was fantastic. Comfortable room and bed although no elevator meant about 40 stairs up to the 2nd floor (3rd floor if you count the main level as 1st floor) staff were all wonderful. Lots of free parking. Swam in the clean sea but loved the huge pool. September weather perfect for a cool dip. Clean, quiet and a lovely stay.

The room was clean, but small and outdated, shower very small, confortroom view is a roof top!!! Which was very disappointing. Beach is not private its open to public. Had to pay extra to change my booking dates and it wasn't worth it. Old hotel, about 1 hour walk from old town, over all wasn't satisfied.

Really nice find. Our flight got cancelled. We were delighted to find this property on short notice. Staff is wonderful. Location is perfect for walking, beach access, and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is amazing. The grounds have a naturally peaceful ambiance. Curb appeal is meh. Don’t let that fool you. 5 stars

Hotel Adriana is a real gem. The hotel staff were brilliant- their attention to detail and obvious care for the guests were outstanding. The place is an oasis of sophisticated calm- the English garden with mature trees and pool area meticulously well kept. Meals were fabulous and had in the garden, making each a production. One of our best hotel experiences ever!!!

Substantial noise and disrupted sleep

I booked 2 double 'Comfort' Rooms for 4 nights with friends for a short but relaxing break. The booking was made approximately 6 months ago. The hotel is advertised as a luxury hotel. It is not.
Room 104 had appalling views, as per attached. More importantly, for the first two nights there was a dreadful and constant noise caused by, water pipes/ toilet flushing, air conditioning, kitchen. These were the reasons given by staff at the time. It was very difficult to sleep for two of the four nights because of the noise. We asked to be moved to another room but we told we could only move to a room above (which would have the same view) and possibly experience the same problems. It was unbearable. We were told there was no other or better room available. At 2am on the second night we moved into another room as we could not sleep. the noise was intolerable. The night porter gave wrong directions to the room which meant I was walking around the hotel in the wrong wing of the hotel. The next day an emergency plumber visited the first room, 104 (as we were moving out) with plumbing equipment and began drilling behind the toilet to replace a part. We were told by him there was a serious problem. Reception later confirmed the problem was due to the ventilation system. No offer of compensation or any apology or gesture was offered by the hotel for the disruption. I wish to seek a partial refund as 50% of our stay was significantly and substantially disrupted.

Pretty disappointing stay for what was ranked high on Expedia. AC in one room never worked despite several requests to fix. Shower handle broke and flooded one of the two rooms. Spa/sauna was located in the nicer non adult hotel but for steam and sauna co-ed full nudity was required according to signs. Terrible service in spa as well. Double charged us for rooms and since we had paid through expedia couldn’t resolve yet happily processed the money (Expedia shows no reservation but the hotel “system” already charged and processed so apparently that is no longer their problem)
Pros - the omelettes were good and the sunset views are stunning (thanks more to Mother Nature than the hotel).

Superb adults only resort with great food

The hotel has been tastefully refurbished and is smart and clean. Rooms are a good size and are well equipped. The balcony, overlooking the garden, was a good size.

The food was excellent quality with a selection of buffet items at lunch and a full evening menu well above usual hotel standards.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with one person and this was immediately dealt with- the management is really on the ball.

There is no lift so customers with mobility problems need to be aware of this.

The hotel is in a quiet area. It has its own grounds and a pool. However, you can also use the facilities in a neighbouring hotel. Access to the very clean beach is through the garden gate- there are also opportunities for coastal walks.

Exceeded our expectations. Rooms are a great size very comfortable with a lounge area, bathroom and little wardrobe. The best features of the hotel though are the staff, food and gardens of the hotel all simply brilliant. Great selection of food on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner and an added bonus which we didn’t realise is that wine, beer and water is all free at lunch and dinner. Dinner is a set menu but you still have a buffet to pick from.

We would definitely return, we stayed as part of a trip around Croatia for our final 2 nights before flying back home and we would return again as it is a very relaxing hotel that clearly focuses on customer service and satisfaction which it scores highly in both!

Room was too cramped, hardly any room to move because it was small and filled up with furniture. Worse were the mosquitoes, there were so many in the room. Looked like other guests had the same problem as on the walls and ceiling were the remains of squashed mosquitoes.

I booked this hotel because of the great reviews that I found on the whole web about this property.
PRO: The staff was very good and friendly.The room was small, but we know about that when we booked this hotel. The room was very clean and somebody changed the towels and made cleanliness every day. The garden is very nice and you can walk quietly throughout it.
CONTRA: I was very disappointed by the food. I paid for a superior double room 2.100 EUR and didn't expect to receive the same and poor breakfast everyday. I wanted to eat cereals, but they were old, they had a strange taste. At dinner you find good food but very small portions (for babies). It looks like the management has to make a compromise to obtain quality with small portions. If you like cookies, that is the place where you can't eat anything, The cake is like a bread with some cream. Although the hotel is very close to the beach, the beach is very poor. If you want to stay on a 2 set of sunbaths you have to pay daily 75 KUNA. The hotel must have a private beach at this price you have to pay.
The people that come at this hotel are elderly and if you are at your 30's it is quite strange, because persons start to look weird at you.
You are not allowed to smoke in the terrace of the restaurant although it is outside. You have only 3 small cups of coffee in the room. No replacement and chargeable.
Conclusion: If you have money, go to Turkey at 5 stars resorts, all inclusive.

Outstanding staff throughout and to be given breakfast on the first morning after a long and difficult journey that day was magnificent. The hotel is spotless throughout with attention to detail, the room without doubt fantastic. The food was top class, again paying attention to detail. The only one downside was the pool was not fully working, but to be fair it was the end of the season.

We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t have had a better experience. From start to finish, the staff were welcoming and friendly - we checked in around 10:30pm and were given a packed lunch of sandwiches, water and fruit which was greatly appreciated! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer room, we stayed in a double superior and it was huge - two balconies! Facilities were great too, there was a heated pool which was fantastic at the end of September when it’s a little cooler. Lots of choice for breakfast and dinner and all inclusive drinks. As an added touch, a bottle of sparkling wine was left in our room on my birthday which was so thoughtful! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great resort with many amenities

The resort is great and has wonderful food. The people who worked at reception were very knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms were large and nicely laid out. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked great (albeit not heated). The grounds are expansive and lovely. The breakfasts and dinners were great with a ton of options and accommodating to dietary restrictions. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot.
I wish that I had known that the sister hotel, which is right next door and allows kids, was so much nicer and had a heated pool since we would have gone over to enjoy that. My only issue was with the spa. I got a facial that wasn't great and was pricey. The esthetician tried to sell me all the facial products before I was able to get off the bed and get dressed, which was very awkward. Normally, they pitch you the products when you pay. While the spa looked really nice, the experience was not very relaxing. I would not recommend using their spa services.

What you see is what you get with this lovely hotel. Situated a stones throw from the water front, you can’t really ask for more. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds & lovely evening meals to enjoy made this a perfect short break to unwind. You are based a slight distance from the old town, though I found this a benefit to just relax & unwind. I can’t wait to return next year for more of the same.

I have just enjoyed a relaxing 4 night stay at the hotel. The standard of service offered by the staff was excellent, and the food delicious. The rooms were comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep. We had a late flight on our arrival day and the staff had prepared a very welcome meat and cheese platter for our supper and brought it to our room.
I hope that I will visit again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, and pillow menu to suit your needs. There was a wedding on the first night of my stay and I was offered room in one of the sister hotels due to potential noise, in hindsight I should have taken this up, but at least it sounded like a good party was being had! Delicious food and drinks reasonably priced. Only let down was the showered was very limp, and a number of sockets in the room did not work.

Wonderful Hotel

We stayed for a week in September and would definitely return. Everything about the Adriana is first class but the staff make it really special. Without exception, they are all friendly, efficient and enthusiastic. I’m not exaggerating when I say the food was at least equal to the best we’ve had in any hotel, anywhere!! Breakfasts and dinners were consistently excellent and the quality superb. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was always refreshed and made ready without any intrusion or inconvenience. Not the biggest hotel room we've had but well designed and certainly more than adequate.

One suggestion. A tip box at reception would be a welcome addition as it’s impossible to single out individuals for tips.

Peace and Luxury in Croatia

My Wife and I who are in our early 30's have travelled all over Europe. We want to check out the delights of Croatia and decided to hire a car and drive across the coast stopping at National Parks along the way. We found Adriana and decided to book based in other reviews and the images online as we wanted a little secluded luxury with no screaming kids.. Well we we not disapointed this place had everything we could have asked an more, beautiful grounds, attentive staff, amazing pool with spa jets, we also used the Spa next door in sister hotel which was great full cold to hot treatment. Good was excellent and just in general a very tranquil experience. Left us feeling recharged and ready for the rests of our trip. If your in Croatia visiting you must go and see Krka National Park and Plitvice National Park both stunning. I would recommend Adriana to anyone. Apparently we were told they have best Chef in Croatia? The only downside for me was beds were a little stiff but I'm used to softer bed at home. Other than that 5 stars.

overall it was pretty nice hotel. Breakfast and Dinner were included in the price, so it ended up being not too expensive- they do charge you for Waters, beers and wine FYI. It is a bit away from Zadar about a 15 min walk to Old Town and taxi's are cheap. the pool was very nice and relaxing the beach is different then to California expectations.... Rocky beaches, but the water is very nice. It gets crowded at the beach, which is private, but there are lots of Tourist there. Rooms were small, but nice w AC and small queen size beds. Frig in the rooms

We booked half board at the end of the season, food was so good we ate in every day. This was in some ways a shame as we missed the opportunity to sample other Croatian food, but frankly the deal was too good not to use it. Heated pool facility in the adjacent hotel was also welcome, given the end of season temperatures.

Our room was very small with very poor lighting - there was not enough light to read anywhere. The hotel's location had a pleasing view but it was not convenient to town. There is no elevator, so moving luggage was difficult (we were on the second floor).

On a positive side, the staff was very helpful and the meals which were provided were pretty good.

only stayed one night . found the staff extremely polite and helpful and the food service and quality excellent. would have liked to have had a more private beach area and not use the swimming pool. ...great for those who like swimming pools but somewhat awkward for those who enjoy swimming in the ocean as it was very crowded with locals and not secure as to where to leave your belongings ,no beach chair service in sight.Those of you who do not like exercising will have to use stairs to get to your rooms as there are no elevators or air conditioning in any of the common public areas. close to airport...a twenty minute ride...and good taxi service provided by the hotel but paid for personally.Rooms are rather large and have great amenities,such as, beach equipment,hair dryer,etc.

A jewel in Zadar

This hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Though an older property, the welcome, service & overall ambience is second to none. We loved the peace & quiet, our beautiful room though a little small by European standards & the feeling of charm. The food was also lovely & breakfast was extensive including the choice of having some bubbles if you are up for it. We would really recommend this hotel for couples or for anyone wanting a really relaxing break.

Reception & managers are very helpful; they aren't only giving you standard information they also share you their own experiences. I feel that I back home. I like that they have different hotels in the same area to target different type of customers, and you are allowed to enjoy facilities in all the hotels under \"Falkensteiner\" during your stays.

Staff at the hotel were super friendly. We visited off season so not all the pools were functioning and the sauna seemed to have a laissez faire attitude to clothing or coverage of any kind so catered more to the brave or the blind. Good value hotel though right on pebble beach and withing short taxi ride of the old town.

Hotel Falkensteiner Adriana in Zadar, Croatia

Stayed 3 nights while visiting Zadar, Hvar and the surrounding area. Very happy with the hotel, location and service. Very friendly, helpful staff. Our rate included both breakfast and dinner, and both were enjoyable. Would stay there again.

A relaxing stay

A top class but unpretentious hotel with frieldly staff. We stayed for a single night and made good use of the facilities -pool, gym, sun loungers which were excellent. Halfborad dinner served on the courtyard was superb (5 courses!) as was the breakfast the next morning.

En avslappnande och härlig semester!

Vi var supernöjda, mycket bra service och trevlig personal. Dom fick oss att känna oss som hemma. Bra städning, inget att klaga på. Sköna sängar. Fantastisk utsikt över trädgården, värt att lägga extra pengar på superior rummen. Poolen och poolområdet 10/10, lyxigt och mysigt. Vi vill tacka all personal som gjorde vår resa till den bästa!

Ein wunderbares Adults only Hotel mit wunderschönem und sehr weitläufigen Garten, super viel Platz für alle Gäste und jeder kann sich gut aus dem Weg gehen und in Ruhe Entspannen.

Super Frühstücksbuffet und grandiose Speisen zum Abendesseb bei Halbpension.

Resort localisé en première ligne côtière, face à une plage aménagée en accès direct par les jardins, bordée d'une promenade piétonne desservant le centre historique de Zadar en quelques trois quarts d'heure. Excellent service par un personnel attentionné et professionnel. Choisir cet hôtel est un parfait compromis entre détente balnéaire, découverte des trésors de Zadar (au sortir du domaine hôtelier se trouve la station du bus n°8 allant au centre-ville) et visite des hauts lieux de la région (grâce aux routes et pistes cyclables passant à proximité du quartier).

Laissez encore un peu la Climatisation svp

Très bon hôtel avec bon petit déjeuner et repas.
Les chambres sont belles.
Le Personnel de l’hôte très gentil .
Un duel problème,je n’ai pas pu dormir car la climatisation générale était coupé et il faisait 24 degrés dans la chambre.
J’étais trempé de sueur et piqué par les nombreux moustiques.
Je suis descendu à 2 hrs du matin demander une prise anti moustiques.
Pas dormi,dommage l’hôtel est superbe.

Un hotel con regadera y sanitario muy incomodos, el exterior muy descuidado tanto fachada y jardines. No hay elevador. Fueron 40 escalones para la habitacion, aunque nos ayudaron en la entrada, la salida la hicimos nosotros para no molestar.
Pero todo el personal muy amable y servicial.
