communicating with the host about arriving late for check-in was good. the host was very pleasing, however since we did arrive late and there was 3 of us. the bed slats broke and we tried to communicate to the host about it and we didnt hear nothing until the next day with a text saying not to worry about the best and that breakfast would be served. so we had just had to sleep uncomfortable and deal with it.

We were traveling by ferry to Zadar and picked Central Apartments because of its location to the ferry port and it is in the middle of the Old Town. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. We especially liked the breakfast selections available to us. We would gladly stay here again if we ever visited Zadar.

Location was fantastic but be prepared to walk up lots of stairs. Old city centre totally walkable but this always means parking is a few blocks away. Breakfast included plus discount if you eat any other meals there. Suite itself good, but unfortunately smelly bathroom drains that may be due simply to an old building that the host may have no control over. Keep the door closed so the sleeping area doesn’t pick up the smell. Overall good but if you’re picky go elsewhere. Host was great.

For the money paid it is not worth it. Small room with no charm. Host was incredible though. If it was not for his attitude I would be disappointed. It worked for us for one night, but longer stay would be problematic. Overall Zadar is not worth a trip. Sorry

Check in was very quick. The room was located in a very convenient spot in the center of the old town, which made everything very accessible, from restaurants and grocery stores to sight seeing and historical moments. The staff was very helpful and worked to meet our needs.
Everyone working at the restaurant was extremely kind and spoke fluent English, making it perfect for international visitors. The room was equipped with AC which was really helpful during the hottest days of the year. Housekeeping every other day.
We absolutely would come again.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough! The rooms are newly updated and it was such a pleasant surprise. My friend and I stayed in direct view of the church tower and square, which was amazing. Centrally located in old town Zadar, and the owner was so kind and helpful. The free breakfast in the morning was another excellent surprise, and everything was so clean, new, and cozy! We didn't need to have the air conditioning on too much during our stay, but it's great to have during the height of the summer. Overall, such a find and I'm so glad we stayed here for our night in Zadar!

I cannot think of a better place to stay in old town Zadar. Apartments was great. Staff was wonderful and stayed up late for us despite our late arrival. The breakfast was free, made to order and fantastic! The apartment/hotel is located in the center of the old town. Main cathedral is visible from the windows. All sites in old town Zadar are within five/eight mins walk.

It was outstanding. Greeted at the lobby /restaurant by a very friendly host. Everything in order and was shown to the room. Given some history and great local information. Very kind and helpful. On my last night I needed a phone charger and the waiter gave me his personal charger and told me to leave it in the room. The location was ideal and the room was quiet dispute overlooking the square.

The accomodations were fantastic. Place was clean and had plenty of room for our group. Karlo gave a nice description of the city as we walked to our apartment. He did a great job of showing his love for the city. We completely understand his passion for the city after the stay, because Zadar is a great city. Location of property right in old town making walking to everywhere we needed to go a breeze. If we ever go back we'd book here for sure.

Amazing Qwaint hotel

We booked this hotel last minute and could not have been happier. The owner Carlo was a gem. It was in a very very old building which was quaint but the rooms were totally renovated gorgeous great air-conditioning great location and they have their own restaurant. Carlo the owner gave us lots of advice on things to do when we left Zadar. If we returned to the city we would never stay anywhere else but with Carlo.

The check in process was ok, the signs where a bit hard to follow and the availability was limited, so make sure and call the number provided prior to arrival to coordinate the timing. Check in itself was very streamlined and he gave us a mini guided tour and history of the city on the walk to our accommodation. The lodging itself was wonderful, highly recommend traveling in the “off season”, as we avoided the large crowds and had easier access to cultural points of interest. The Sun Salutation and Sea Organ are worth a visit in the dark.

Old building but very uodated. Apartment. Sketchy going into resudential apartments with laundry hanging etc, but the rio.s were nice.
Carlo the receptionist was great. Apartments are scattered about the tow, all qalkable distances from the reception area. Breakfast was mediocre, seevice slow. Sausages were hotdogs and muesli was cornflakes...a disappointment.

Not like the photos.

Our room looked nothing like the photos and was rather small, the sofa bed was not made up (despite the request when booking) and when it was set up there was no space left in the room. Some of the shower fittings were broken too.
It was a short distance from the reception, and I guess they have diffrent rooms in diffrent buildings. The view of the church was good.

Great location for old town, Karlo was very helpful when checking in. The unit is painted cute and has a nice little kitchen.
The shower was broken, the mattress on the pullout couch was dirty (burnmarks?), the pillows were stained yellow and there was a very very strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, it is a very old city and building so not sure if that can be resolved.

The picture is very deceiving. I was given an apartment that I had to walk up two flights of stairs and it was a small living area with a sofa and a very small bathroom and bedroom. To get to the loft bedroom you had to go up ten two foot wide steps with no railing. I am 72 years old and this was not an appropriate living area. The one in the picture looks great. Carlos was fantastic, he located a suite hotel room only 15 minutes away in which I stayed. I did not stay at the Central Apartments and I will not stay there on 5/13. Expedia should refund my money for both stays without me having to deal with it when I return home.

Enchanting Visit

The location was great and the apartment was very clean, modernized and comfortable with a handy kitchen, comfortable couch and a window that opened onto the square. The bed was a little awkward for one of the couple to get in & out of, since one side was so close to the wall and the foot of the bed was so close to the window. There were many steps, but we’re getting used to that in Croatia. (The only solution is to pack LIGHT!) Zadar was one of the most enchanting cities in Croatia especially at night and the location of the apartment made it easy to get to everything. It’s not obvious, but you have to check in at the coffee shop at the cross street before the square.

A great location In Zadar very central for old town attractions. Lovely to overlook the cathedral and square. Apartment well equipped and comfortable but in need of some TLC, kitchen sink and tap, shower and bathroom extractor fan all in need of some attention! We were made to feel very welcome, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fine as long as you are a fan of eggs which feature in all the choices but one! Overall I would recommend it, but I do think the apartment needs some attention so that it all works more smoothly.

There are a few details I would have wanted to know about before staying in this property. We arrived very late and it was a challenge to find parking and also to find the hotel in Zadar's winding old city. When we finally reached the check in, we were informed that our apartment was in another building a ten-minute walk away. The friendly gentleman at reception walked with us to let us in and show us the place, but carrying our luggage through town after a long day was not at all what we expected.

Our apartment was comfortable and clean, a modern renovation in a old building with historic charm and the old city location was incredible. However, it was smaller than what we expected. We reserved a \"duplex\" for four which implies two rooms or two levels, but the room we got was essentially a one-room studio with some screens/curtains around the double bed plus a sofa bed in the tiny living area.

Also, while the apartment was clean the three flights of stairs we had to climb to reach it were quite dirty and needed a good sweeping. While I know that's not in the hotel's control, I think some guests would be put off by bits of broken glass and cigarette butts.

Our room overlooked the church square and was perfectly located in the Old Town. It was a clean, comfortable room and we would like to thank the staff for being so helpful. We were able to take advantage of the Hotels parking which was 25 euros per night .

This property was not clean
There was dust covering the book shelves and the TV was also dusty
In the bathroom the hose to the hot water tank had a thick layer of dust
When we started the wash machine the drainage hose wasn’t in the proper place and water flooded the bathroom
The shower head was ridge and sprayed the whole bathroom
When I mentioned that the place was dirty the desk person just looked at me
Also loud at night if windows open
The view was of ghetto style apartments
We really didn’t like it there compared to all our other stays this trip

When booking this room we certainly got the booby prize
When looking at pics they do not reveal the xactly what you get and what room
I definitely did not choose the room that I booked but to be honest because we only stayed one night we could not be bothered to argue with the gentleman who was amazing perhaps that was his goal to distract us from the awful dingy room that we had to stay in

Worst of all was the decor - I am a fan of old and new but who ever designed this room hasn’t got a clue and colours need to be matched - why was their an awful orange bed spread on our bed when clearly it did not compliment the room ( no thought had was given to our stay) don’t let me start on the curtains 😝
We felt we were back at our old rooms when we were 10 - no room to walk around the bed - which is a pet hate of mine - dingy - un attractive- worst ever room I have ever stayed in Croatia
So when booking these room spend more time and make sure you get the room you booked - hopefully you won’t get the booby prize room

Central apartments my advise to you from a woman who designs and refurbishes houses all the time
START AGAIN ! Gut it and just do simple clean and modern which is what I had booked

Shabby Chic needs to be done correctly in a room that can take it

We thought the apartment was fantastic. It was on the 3rd floor with no lift which may deter some people but its an old building located on the central square in the heart of the old town so if a lift isn't an issue then this place is great. It can get a bit noisy in the square especially Friday evening and Saturday (not rowdy just noisy) but that comes with the location. The apartment is located a short walk through the pedestrianized streets of the old town from the reception / breakfast area but this just makes it even better watching Zadar wake up as you walk across town for breakfast. The guys at reception and breakfast are great. The apartment was cleaned every couple of days and was spotless. Glad we found this. and would highly recommend it to any of our friends and family.

Perfect location , great value, amazing breakfast

From the very first warm welcome from the charming Carlo to our last fantastic truffle eggs on toast breakfast , the stay was the bed value ever! The location of our room 5 overlooking the main bell tower square was perfectly located to walk to allow the old town attractions and was spacious and well appointed. Only problem was that we could not get any English spoken news channels on the tv . The staff couldn’t have tried harder to make our stay comfortable .

great location for price

Located centrally in old town, the convenience cannot be any better. Surrounded by great restaurants and boutique shops, the stay was great. Also a close 5 minute walk to cross the bridge into new town. Although if traveling by bus it's about a 25 minute walk to the bus stop. Taxi fare was around 45 kunas.

The concierge desk is actually not in the same building but around the corner. He was extremely helpful in guiding us with tourist information. Breakfast included was delicious, an actual serve to order type meal.

The room itself is newly renovated and modern, just as listed on the site. The building is quite old but equipped with everything you need for a comfortable night's rest The walls are pretty thin as we do hear our neighbors; and being located centrally, you do hear noise from the activities outside. I found ear plugs work fine. We stayed early fall, so not as many tourists as summer season - noise not so bad.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The 'integrated hotel' is in fact a group of apartments across the old city with central reservation desk. Guests are taken to their apartment by the guy at the reservation desk. Our guy was very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was really great and staff very friendly and helpful. But the apartment while overlooking the central square was disappointing & was not 4 stars. The shower leaked & flooded the bathroom floor & the bathroom door jammed against the floor & was difficult to close. The public stairs to the apartment at the top floor were scattered with litter and cigarette butts. Authentic but not expected or wanted.

Great apartment in a beautiful city

Our apartment was great. Really central location next to a beautiful church and just 5 minute stroll to the famous Sea Organ and sunset-watching spot. The room has just been renovated and looked just like the pictures - really cool furniture and everything clean and modern. It was also great to be able to go down to their cafe for breakfast each day, the cherry crepes were a highlight!

Apartment was located a 2-5 mins walk from the old town and main hotel check in.
Apartment was lovely and had a perfect balcony overlooking old town.

We brought a car which I wouldn't recommend as parking was stressful. Hotel staff gave us a tip where to park for free, which we managed after squeezing into a space we were luck to find.

Unfortunately the A/C did not seem to work in the apartment but we coped and the hot water only lasted one short shower despite leaving hot water switch on constantly.

Location was unbeatable and for the price a winner.

Lovely city, but experience spoiled by poor hotel

Let's start with the good things. The staff were very friendly. They gave free welcome drinks and pointed out free parking zone. The apartment is really centrally located in Zadar.

Now, the not so good things. The apartment is in a building not wholly owned by the company. The first thing you come across as you walk up 3 flights of stairs with your luggage is cigarette butts in the stairs with odd used tissues.

When you get into the room, it looks OK, until you use the bathroom. When you take a shower, the entire floor area outside the shower gets flooded with 2\" standing water. You try to wipe the floor with towels, but there is just so much water. This becomes extremely off putting. If you need to use the loo, you need to have your feet in cold, dirty water. If you need to brush your teeth, you need to have your feet in water. I guess you get the picture. The bathroom furniture has become rotten because of all this flooding, which must have been happening for a long time.

Parking is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. However, finding a spot is not easy. It took me about 10 - 15 minutes driving in the car park to see if another car was getting out, so I could park there. Once parked, getting out when you need to can be a challenge as well because of the way others park. On final day, a car had been parked right at the entrance to the aisle, blocking about 30 cars in. Had to call the towing company to tow that car away before I could get my car out.

Great Service, needs renovation!

Service is outstanding. Karlo and Danny were great, more than helpful! Room was at the top of many stairs, too many for 70's plus women. Should be notified of stairs. Room needs serious renovations.

Beautiful place in central Zadar

The staff is extremely welcoming (speaks perfect English), the place is decorated with a lot of taste, has WiFi and air conditioning. Parking is however a big problem since the old town is forbidden to cars. Plan on spending a lot of money (coins only !) in parking if you manage to find a spot!

We did not get the room that we had booked on Hotels.com. We got a lower end room. We were told that there was a mistake on some system - either at Hotels.com or their own system. But the room we had booked was already occupied. We were not very happy with the room we got. The service, however, was great and Carlo at the reception was very nice and helpful.

3 flights of stairs was the main drag. No elevator. Great location and excellent breakfast. Karlo, the man in charge, is the best manager I have encounter in a while. Courteous, helpful and most of allfriendly and always treat you with a smile. Great place to spend a few days.

The staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome and happy at every step. lovely selection at breakfast. Room overlooking the main square was perfect, fully equipped kitchen. Only negative was a skylight that made it difficult to keep the room dark in the morning. Great stay, highly recommended

Unfortunate but classy

I am traveling extensively on a day to day basis so I rely heavily on wifi and international news to help me book my next venue. In fact, I list wifi as a must have when I'm searching for accommodations. I only stayed 1 night. Unfortunately there was an issue with both wifi and tv. I had to go outside late at night in very uncomfortable weather to get the free local wifi in order to book my bus ride out the next day as well as the hotel for my next stay. Still, the location was great. The proprietor was great. And had it not been for those 2 issues I would be giving a much different (better) review. Having said that, I was very surprised when I was given a full refund for my inconvenience. I didn't ask for it or demand it, but the proprietor impressed me as such a classy person to have done this to try to make it right by me. If I go back I would definitely give this place another chance. No hard feelings. Thank you Karlo
