The facilities are superb

Food is outstanding, buffet, al mar and bamboo shoot
Recommend the private snorkelling tour
Soma bay is also walking distance for alternative foods and supermarket is close by too

Amazing stay. Rooms were spotless with great housekeeping. Staff were fantastic, super attentive and friendly. Easy to get sunbeds by pool and beach. Great selection in buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Lovely beach with music and cocktails on beanbags at sunset which was really nice. Could not fault the hotel at all.

One of the most beautiful hotels we ever stayed at. The staff is absolutely amazing - from the restaurant, the housekeeping to the beach!
Special shout out to Amr and Diaa from the beach /beach bar team for going above and beyond to look after us.

It is possible to do some snorkeling directly from the beach. The water is crystal clear.

The buffet doesn’t leave anything to be desired!

If you consider staying in Soma Bay dont bother looking at other hotels- this is by far the best option! True value for money!

You get free water in the rooms and on the beach.

This was our second stay and we will definitely be back!

Very nice property. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous, and as an added bonus, they even have several german speaking guest relations employees.
And the food is wonderful and very varied. The Breakfast and Dîner Buffets are extremely rich and savory.
The Pool and Beach areas are great, and the rooms are beautifully appointed.

Truly a pearl of the red sea

The Kempinski in soma bay is a beautiful hotel located in a quiet bay with a clean massive sandy beach, azure waters and mountains in the horizon. The service is truly 5 star - everyone was like how do I make the stay special especially staff at the beach and manager at sultan bar (tharos). Loved the stay and will highly recommend.

We got partial ocean view (really just a sliver) rooms and half board. The rooms were large and very clean with big balconies. The resort was very clean and super well maintained. Even though they said they were at capacity it never felt busy there. The beach is pristine with tons of seating any time of the day. The staff were always there to take care of everything and were extremely friendly. We took advantage of the free shuttle to the house reef off the pier which was some of the best diving I have done, reef is very healthy. Only issue we ran into is the rental gear for snorkeling was poor quality. Better to rent from the dive shop at the pier. Food was great. We ate in the Asian restaurant once, a beach grill once and the rest at the main restaurant. If eating away from the main restaurant it is very easy to exceed the meal plan credit. In general though this was extremely relaxing and wonderful, it is the best of Mexican all inclusive resorts with Fiji quality beaches but way cheaper than both.

I spent hours & hours at the front desk trying to explain to them that my expedia reservation included half board package for both rooms that i reserved yet they kept arguing that i need to spend $80 per night to have dinner. I am disaappinted with their staff.

Very exceptional resort. It is the pearl of the Red Sea. Amazing food, views and staff. If you are planning to visit Hurghada; just go to Kempinski Soma Bay. It’s unimaginable to believe that you can be literally standing at the beach and small fish visibly play around your ankle from how clear the water is. Words won’t do Justice to this resort. It’s a heaven on earth. Definitely one of the best resorts on the shoreline of Hurghada.

The property is impeccable! All the employees were super friendly, respectful and help us with any possible necessity. The beach is a heaven, there is a coral reef super close, clear and clean water. Super nice beach service, special thank you for Alaa on the beach kiosk!

Food was good with a great buffet with nice variety of foods daily. The pool restaurant also has great food. We enjoyed a lot the bars and the sunset party.

Hotel has sections for family and adults only in the beach and amenities, it makes the hotel a good fit for all.

The property and rooms are super well maintained, everything clean and beautiful. The room keeper took care perfectly about everything in our room, we loved it.

My only regret was to not have more days in this paradise! I will definitely come back to this hotel and stay longer to enjoy it more and more.

I initially booked a sea view room but the room looks too basic and the paint on the door has fallen off. I decided to pay extra to upgrade to the deluxe suite.

Still I found room is not well maintained, and the sanitation does not match a five-star hotel rating. The shower area smelled like urine, and the bathtub had dry watermarks.

There is a lot of dust on the lampshade and lamp holder, and there are hand prints on the glass door. The hotel does not provide toothbrushes unless you request it, which embarrass the guests who don’t have any small change ready to tip the staff coming up to the room to deliver it upon request. A simple too brush with toothpaste for 5 star hotels should be a must.

The hotel uses the fascist method to force the guests to take the temperature test at the entrance of the restaurant using the same thermometer for all guests… which is helping the spread of the virus? If there is such a serious virus after all…it’s been so obviously exaggerated by the media and followed through by this particular hotel.

The hotel offered the food to be delivered to my room if I choose not to get the temperature test. How ridiculous this is! May I then check the body temperature of all your staff who come into contact with me???

In addition, the hotel tried to record my credit card number even after I paid all the bill.I found it and stopped it.What was this happening?

I have always liked Kempinski until I came across this hotel.

The waiters were lovely and helpful & very friendly. However I found the front desk staff very officious & snooty.
The resort was extremely quiet with very limited facilities - one restaurant for breakfast & dinner & another for lunch. Breakfadt & dinner both a buffet.

The room was serviced every other day ‘due to covid’ & the lack of amenities due to covid.

I enquired about an excursion but informed the trip was not possible for one person (luxor) or would cost 450 euros (again very snooty & unhelpful). So I organised it myself for $175 - private taxi & english speaking guide.

I think this hotel needs to get a reality check & be more genuinely hospitable. They let the waiters and pool boys down as they did a great job.

we have stayed for 6 days , 5 nights .. end of Aug 2020. it was super nice stay. we have got sea /pool view rooms.
Our stay was super great .
Breakfadr and dinner was somthing to remember as foid was first class qiality.. always there was a new menue each day ..
We did not need to leave the hotel for the long of our stay .. as every day was super active day .. start from the Gym .. snirkling at the reef area near to the blue floating deck .. huge reef area was there... quade bugy ride safary trip .. parasailing .. banana boat ..
All the safety measure for the Covid 19 were applied by the hotel..
Overall ... we were so happy fot the full 6 days of our stay ..

Nice hotel, in good condition. Appreciated the detail of the design. Not a single amorphous mass but an interestingly varied structure designed to resemble a town rather than a single structured hotel. Lovely lay out of public ares including pools. Right on the sandy beach which sloped gently into warm Red Sea! Good food - we were half board so ate in the buffet View restaurant. Egyptian brewed Weizen beer a pleasant surprise. The wines less so. The offer of a voucher to one of the other two restaurants was pretty hopeless as most items were subject to a supplement - so we skipped that.

This is a great option if you want a relaxing stay in great surroundings. We took the half-board option, and the food at breakfast and dinner was extensive and superbly cooked. Over-eating could well be a problem! The grounds and pool areas are spotlessly maintained, and the friendly staff across the hotel go to great lengths to ensure you have a great stay. Other places to recommend are the Spa, great for a relaxing evening or quick trip to the gym, and of course the marvellous beach area. Being on an isolated peninsular, there is little in the way of local culture, but with everything so well provided for, we felt no need to travel far. A great run along the beach front on a pedestrian path completed things for us. We will certainly be back.

It’s the place to stay in Soma Bay. Wonderful food and accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The chef de cuisine made it his priority to cater for our vegan diets! So there was plenty of healthy food options. The beach staff always positive and friendly as were the waiters and pool attendants. We really relaxed here.

Being environmentally aware, my only concerns were the liberal use of plastic bottled water and the number of large dive boats running backwards and forwards within 200m of the beach. As this place gets more popular I think the boat routing should be changed to be less intrusive and polluting so close to the hotel beach.

Superb hotel next to beach

My wife and I stayed at Kempinski Soma Bay for 10 nights from 11th to 21st March last month.
The layout of the hotel is very nice with a lazy river,water falls,lagoons and swimming pools.
Excellent location next to the Marina and shops.
Beautiful spa with friendly staff.
The staff at the beach were also friendly and helpful,setting up the beach beds with towels and providing cold bottled waters.
Seaview rooms are a must for nice views.
Besides snorkelling,you can walk along the long beach.
The weather was sunny between 26 to 30c.during our stay.
Overall an excellent relaxing resort.

Soma bay is outstanding, easy access to Kite and wind surfing beaches along with snorkeling and diving spots nearby and the whole area is very family friendly. Kempinski is one of the best hotels with well maintained ground and facilities, excellent beach, superior view of the sea. booked a suite with club access (worth it) and had an excellent view of the beach and sea (check pic). Every single member of the staff was extremely friendly and they get out of their way to help you out without expecting anything back, kudos to the hotel management on the staff training. Thanks Soma Bay and thanks Kempinski, will be back!

The staff tries to be very courteous, but comes accross as very aggressive. One day before we left, the room service kept asking us at what time we will vacate out room.
We had one expense on our bill that we could not explain. The staff at the front desk told us bluntly that it was just the equivalent of $5, \"not much money\".

The overall experience is very good, but the prices in the restaurants are extremely high compared to the other 5 star hotels. The food was stinky and not tasty. Everyting else was so perfect and I hope they will take care of the FOOD QUALITY and prices in the future.

Very comfortable hotel

Hotel is very good, only negative thing is that when we arrived the room during didn't have the basic stuff for hospitality i.e kettle , tea etc, but when i called room service they provided us with everything, also prices of food and drinks are extremely overpriced.

Great Hotel

Soma is a wonderful bay. Kempinski is the best hotel there. Don't miss (1)going to Breakers where you'll enjoy a magnificent swimming & snorkeling spots, (2)going to Cascades spa (sea water, one-of-a-kind, full of jets pool), (3)watching the sunset from Marina.

Room furniture was not well organized, leaving us no space move, so we had to move the pieces ourselves.

Air condition is so cold, no matter what you do to fix it.

Must have a club room

Club lounge and staff excellent. Main restaurant not 5*. A la carte very poor, and service too. Recommend VIP service for transfers. Always stay at 5* hotels and other kempinskis - one plug socket in a Junior suite is not enough. Pool staff excellent.

Best Service

We wanted a nice getaway for a few days and decided to come to the Red Sea. We were really happy we did. Beautiful area, warm sun, incredible sea color. And the Kempinski Resort turned out to be a real jewel. The staff was among the best we've ever experienced. They were welcoming, attentive to our needs, accommodating to our requests, friendly and professional. We've been to many luxury hotels all over the world and we can definitely say The Kempinski Soma Bay is at the very top of the list. We definitely will be coming here again.

The best service in the world, excellent location.

Service - absolutely brilliant. The manager and staff at the Laguna lounge were unbelievable. We have stayed at the Kempinski in many countries, but nothing compares with this.
The room and facilities were true Kempinski style.
New Years celebration was very good.

first class hotel with first class staff!

We had 7 glorious days of luxury, pampering, minute attention to every detail of customer service and we're just generally spoiled for a week while on holiday. It was fantastic!
