Excellent stay

I’ve stayed at the royal suite, Excellent hotel, friendly staff and very helpful,excellent room.
Outstanding things:
1. We arrived very late at night 12am, They kindly prepared a complimentary dinner at our room for us, which was extremely helpful as all restaurants were closed.
2. The heated pool at the suite is amazing and it was such a standout that it will make us come back again specifically for this feature.

This is our 4th time and it was amazing as usual. We got few complimentary services.. romantic dinner and in suite breakfast at our royal suite plus a free dinner at their Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.

It was very nice and sweet stay really the service is perfect upon arrival till our departure the hotel the staff is very helpful and friendly try to make us satisfied in every place everything started from the front office special Mr Mohsen the manager of the front desk, the pool area and the restaurant the only problem is distance between the lobby to the beach it must offer a golf car to facility and help the senior citizens and the handicapped

Best staff!

Location is ideal close to Makadi souq, and beach near by. Rooms well maintained and clean however bathroom has poorl ventilation and bad smell. Hotel generally small but very cozy. Food variety is ok but the quality could be much better, best was the oriental dinner night. Staff is the best highlight of the hotel, very friendly, cooperative and do their best to help.

The staff are so friendly and our experience was amazing. It is good to have some entertainment at night by the animation team and the shows they did. The food quality was amazing however the wi-Fi was not working most of the time so it needs to be improved. Thank you so much we had a relaxing and wonderful week there.

The hotel grounds are very well kept,issues we did have were addressed by the management very quickly ,the beach is a bit to cramp mostly shade unless you are lucky enough to get front line .
Overall it was a pleasant stay if I stayed longer I would not want the rooms we were in as they don’t get any sun all day!!
Check in was good and staff very attentive
the location is beautiful and the snorkelling around the corals is wonderful,would recommend and possibly stay again if the price was right

Come: The food was not that great, in regards to variety and quality. The beach is five minutes walk, which is not too far but not too close also, however the walk is full of green and pools.

The beach was small and overcrowded, it's a shared beach which 6 hotels use, if I had known this I would not have booked. We had a problem with the sound on the TV, they did send someone to fix it but the next day we had the same issue. The safe in the room was broke, the kettle was broke and the towels were dirty. The cleaner did not change the towels, even though they were placed on the floor as directed. We mentioned the problems to reception who advised if we had told them they would have fixed/replaced items as necessary, however as we were only staying two nights we didn't see much point. Putting that aside, the hotel was nice, clean and looked good, the staff were helpful and friendly.

The beach is far away from the hotel and it is a small area.no golf car no towels on the beach ,so you must carry them this long distance to the beach and vise verse.

I stayed three days and three nights in this lovely hotel, surrounded by lots of green areas and plenty of flowers.

The rooms are organized around the pool, on two to three levels. Mine was spacious, nicely furnished, the bathroom was pleasant, with lots of towels changed every day, two bathrobes, a hair dryer and toiletries.

The swimming pool is extremely clean: aqua gym, volley ball and water polo activities are organized daily in the pool but there’s no pressure whatsoever to take part. Lots of sun beds: you don't have to get up early in the morning to “reserve” yours. The evening entertainment is soft and not too loud (more aimed at people in their 50’s but there’s a disco not far away from the hotel for the younger ones who want a bit more action). The spa is magnificent and the massages are beautifully performed by professional staff. Enjoy the huge Jacuzzi and the water jets showers. Do not hesitate, though, to haggle the prices down to at least 30%!

The breakfast buffet is fantastic with fresh juices, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, hams, waffles, pancakes, cereals, eggs and sausages/small burgers cooked to order and a wide range of pastries and breads. I did not try the lunch buffet, so can’t comment on that. But I did use the snack bar at the pool which serves pizzas, salads, burgers, sandwiches. Its staff will also bring drinks to you at the pool throughout the day. The dinner buffet was very pleasant, with a wide variety of dishes, even though I would have expected a bit more “local” food. You can also try one of the various restaurants in the Makadi resort (only open at night): a Grill, an Italian, an Indian, an Asian and an Egyptian. And I guess you can also try some of the restaurants inside each of the hotels close by.

Most guests are German with a few Russians and some French, but all seem to speak at least a bit of English, so the language barrier is not really a problem. And it is not either with the staff. Try and speak a few words of Arabic with them and it’ll work wonders, though their service is excellent, even if you don’t: they’re friendly, courteous and efficient, with even a sense of humor.

My only disappointment was the beach: you’ll reach it walking through the gardens of the hotels between the beach and the Jaz Makadi Spa (about 5 minutes). The beach is extremely crowded, with so many sun beds, parasols, wind breakers, that it’s hard to find some privacy …

But if you can live without getting to the beach and just relax by the pool, you’ll see that you get great value for money and a great service. All in all, a wonderful relaxing and peaceful break: that’s what I was looking for, that’s what I got and I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation!

Gutes Hotel & Staff,Familienzimmer eine Katastophe

Bei meiner Bewertung muss man klar zwischen dem Hotel und denn Zimmer unterscheiden.

Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich zu empfehlen, wirklich sehr gutes Essen und großartige aufmerksame Mitarbeiter. Dadurch das das Hotel das kleineste JAZ-Hotel in Makadi Bay ist, wusste nach 2 Tage bereits jeder Mitarbeiter, was man gerne trinkt.

All Inklusiv, wie man es kennt, grundsätzlich alles inklusive, nur eben alles local Produkte. Prosecco, Whisky, ordentlichen Rum nur gegen Aufpreis. Aber dafür muss man die Barkeeper ein Lob aussprechen, selbst mit dem local Alkohol sind die Cocktails wirklich gut.

Zwar hat das Hotel den Zusatz Spa im Namen, aber eigentlich heißt das nur, dass der externe Spa Bereich in Makadi Bay neben den Hotel liegt. Wirkliche Vorteile zu den anderen Hotels hat man nicht. Wer die großartigen Rutschen und das Piratenschiff besuchen will, muss wie bei den anderen Hotels auch mit dem Bus fahren.

Kommen wir zum negativen. Die Zimmer zur Gartenseite (hauptsächlich Familienzimmer) sollten aufgrund des Lärms nicht vergeben. Der Generator der Baustelle ist so laut, dass man selbst mit geschlossenem Fenster denkt man liegt neben einen Kühlschrank der ständig kühlt. Auf den Balkon zu sitzen ist nicht möglich, wenn man sich unterhalten will. Musste viel Druck machen und zwei Mal umziehen, damit es besser wurde. Hotel meinte immer, das kein Zimmer frei wäre. Habe dann gezeigt, dass ich auf deren Weibseite ein anderes Zimmer buchen kann.

Es scheint das kleinste der Jaz Hotels dort zu sein und ist direkt am Spa, dass von allen Jaz Hotels genutzt werden kann, angeschlossen.
Nettes Personal, gutes Essen. In die Jahre gekommene Zimmer. Alles in allem, hat man dort einen guten Aufenthalt.

ABER: für mich persönlich, war es ein riesen Thema, dass das Internet wirklich unterirdisch ist. Es schwankt zwischen sehr schlecht und nicht da. Also Podcast hören zum einschlafen, spiele am Handy oder gar Netflix schauen, kann man dort vergessen. Das hat mich 100 EUR extra Roaming Gebühren gekostet um nur das nötigste abzudecken an Internetnutzung.
Ich persönlich mache nirgends Urlaub, wo ich kein gutes Internet erwarte. Das mag speziell sein, deshalb erwähne ich es als extra Punkt.
Ist einem Internet egal oder kaum wichtig, ist es empfehlenswert dort.

Diese Hotel ist kein großes Resort, sondern eine kleinere, gemütlichere Anlage. Das macht den Urlaub noch entspannter, durch kurze Wege und schnellen Service. Der Weg zum Strand ist über Abkürzungen erreichbar, ansonsten dauert es 6-7 Minuten. Das Hotel liegt daher nicht direkt am Strand, was aber von Vorteil ist, da in der Makadi Bay aus anderen Hotels oft sehr laute Musik rüberschallt. Tagsüber stört dies am Strand jedoch nicht. Strand eignet sich perfekt zum Schnorcheln und zum Tauchen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer ebenso. Es gibt ein Restaurant, das täglich einen anderen Schwerpunkt hat, so dass genügend Abwechslung da ist und für jeden was dabei. Das Abendprogramm ist ebenfalls abwechslungsreich, Tanzshows, Synchroschwimmshow, Live Musik. Die Zimmer Richtung Pool bekommen den \"Lärm\" mit, Zimmer hinten bekommen dies nicht mit. Es gibt in der Nähe einen kleinen Supermarkt für die nötigsten Dinge, wobei All Inclusive ausreicht. Es gibt auch einen Souk, also mehrere kleine Läden für Souvenirs und Co. Pro Aufenthalt darf man in einem der nahen Restaurant umsonst essen. Wir hatten uns für ägyptisch entschieden und es war super lecker. Es gibt noch Italiener, Steak usw. Der Service ist überaus zuvorkommend und nach wenigen Tagen \"kennt man sich\", so dass es eine entspannte, vertraute Atomosphäre gibt.

Das Hotel ist wirklich wunderschön. Sehr gepflegte Anlage, super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal (im speziellen Ahmed vom Strandrestaurant und Ahmed Lifeguard, Ahmed von der Rezeption, Roomservice Tamer & Mamdouh, Hauptrestaurant Amr und Mimo vom Animationsteam) wunderschöner Strand und schönes Programm.
Der kurze Spaziergang zum Strand ist auch sehr schön und man kann sich den schönen Park/Anlage angucken. Das Essen im Hauptrestaurant ist auch gut.
Wenn was nicht passt (unser Zimmer hatte einen ungewöhnlichen Geruch im Bad), einfach das Personal ansprechen und die kümmern sich dann gründlich darum.

Ich würde definitiv wieder hinfahren.

Was ich verbessern würde:
- Handtuch Service am Strand
- Bäder renovieren
- Kühlschrank mit Wasser am Strand
- Das Programm Karaoke würde ich entweder aus dem Sortiment nehmen, oder nur schöne Lieder anbieten. Wenn man die Kontrolle an den Gast übergibt, kommt nur Blödsinn dabei raus.
- Schilder beim Essen, auch bei den Beilagen/Vorspeisen
- Mehr Auswahl im Strandrestaurant
- Die Klimaanlagen auf dem Zimmer waren sehr laut

Hotel gut wie immer.
Personal engagiert und freundlich, top.
Leider fährt das Management einen falschen Sparkurs, es wird an allem gespart. Die momentane Situation könnte man für Renovierungsarbeiten nutzen, dies wird aber nicht gemacht. Die Fugen in der Dusche fallen raus, die Musikanlage im Restaurant / Lobby scheppert, am Stuhl im Zimmer schauen die Klammern raus. Es gibt kein Orangensaft mehr zum Frühstück........ Wenn sie so weiter sparen, werden sie auch bald den ein oder anderen Stern einsparen können

Sehr tolles und familiäres Hotel

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel ist im Vergleich zu vielen anderen in der Umgebung deutlich kleiner und damit familiärer.
Essen und Service waren spitze und die Zimmer auf einem gehobenen (wenn auch nicht luxuriösem) Niveau.
Zudem ist es ein Traum durch den herrlichen Park Richtung Strand zu spazieren...

10 Jahre nach dem ersten Aufenthalt nun mit Kind (6J) wieder da gewesen. Immer noch eine tolle Anlage und einfach ein super nettes Team vor Ort. Wer sich ein wenig auf die Kultur einlässt und auch ein paar Worte Arabisch lernt, hat die besten Aussichten auf einen echten 5* Urlaub :-) Fast alle sprechen Deutsch, die meisten auf jeden Fall Englisch. Und für eventuelle Nörgler (ich bin pingelig...): wendet Euch an Ute, die Guest Relation Managerin. Wer den Mund aufmacht, dem kann geholfen werden :-)
Ja, mit den Kindern... waren nur 4 Kinder da- und das soll wohl auch so :-) unsere Kleine ist recht streng erzogen und quiekt nicht oder brüllt rum. Wer eher \"tobende Kinder\" hat: sucht Euch ein Nachbarhotel - die anderen Gäste sind nicht soooo auf Kinder aus... das Team freut sich IMMER über Kinder. Aber definitiv KEIN Familienhotel im Sinne der deutschen Erwartungen

Makadi Star & Spa, gut und relativ preiswert

Gutes Hotel mit freundlichem und deutschsprachigem Personal. Wurde anlässlich einer Geschäftsreise gebucht. Der gesamte Komplex besteht derzeit aus zehn Hotels und ist recht weitläufig. Zwischen Hurghada und Safage gelegen, in jede Richtung mit dem PKW ca. 30 Min. Fahrtzeit. Alles in super Zustand, das Hotel ist noch nicht in die Jahre gekommen. Nett dass der Zimmerservice sich um aus Handtüchern gebastelte Stofftiere bemüht, leider geht wohl dabei die Zeit für die Zimmerpflege draus. Wie überall sonst, auch hier der ständige Drang Trinkgelder zu geben. Ich empfinde das als lästig. Für diese beiden Sachen daher jeweils einen Punkt weniger. Jedes Hotel verfügt über einen eigenen Pool, alles sehr gepflegt. Der Strand ist nur durch einen Irrweg durch die anderen Hotels in ca. 15-20 Min. zu erreichen, da das Star & Spa am weitesten weg liegt. Auch am Essen (HP) gibt es nicht viel auszusetzen, Quantität und Qualität stimmen. Getränke sind extra zu bezahlen, was den Preis für die Verpflegung ziemlich in die Höhe treibt - also am Besten All-incl. buchen.

Mycket bra och lagom \"litet/stort\" hotell. Tryggt och säkert. Jättefin personal! Barnen stortrivdes och så också föräldrarna. De kunde röra sig fritt och man kände sig lugn. Väl värt att besöka!
Vattenlandet var absolut värt ett besök! Och en dagstur med båten SIM-SIM ut på röda havet där vi simmade med 25 vilda delfiner!

Siamo appena tornati dal ns soggiorno di due settimane passate in un lampo in questo hotel veramente eccezionale... siamo rimasti colpiti sia dall'eleganza, sia dalla disponibilità del personale, sia dall'abbondanza del cibo e la sua varietà sia dal servizio in spiaggia( gli asciugamani per la spiaggia forniti ogni giorno dall'albergo) unica pecca la mancanza di personale che parli anche l'italiano. Cmq l'inglese è capito abbastanza bene. Nella struttura durante il ns soggiorno non abbiamo trovato nessuna famiglia italiana, per lo più tedeschi, un grande peccato perchè l'hotel merita veramente di essere conosciuto. Un po' distante dal mare circa 400 passi!! cmq il mare si raggiunge passeggiando attraverso dei giardini curatissimi facenti parte sia dell'albergo che delle altre strutture limitrofe. l'animazione è un pò limitata solo tre spiccoli spettacoli settimanali di circa 45 minuti e poi live music... di questo le ns due figlie si sono un pò lamentate anche se la grande piscina, la zona internet, la palestra a disposizione, le ha conquistate.
