A fantastic holiday made all the better by the staff. Mahmoud and Ahmed in the dining room always greeted us as if we were old friends. Amazing selection of food, always fresh. Spotless facilities, complimentary masks for snorkeling, daily fresh beach towels. This was an exceptional holiday.

Our room was lovely and spacious, and quiet! Check-in was delightful, and we quickly got to know all of the incredibly hard-working staff, who greet you with a tremendous smile no matter how many long hours they have worked. The pools were spectacularly clean and there was plenty of nice chaise lounges for everyone both poolside and beachside. If you couldn’t find one, the helpful staff would take care of you. The food was the best I have ever, ever had at an all inclusive resort. Plenty of freshly grilled dishes every day and so many choices. I am celiac, so this could have been a major concern for me, yet every single dish is marked with all allergens so you never had to wonder. I didn’t have a single reaction to the food during our entire week stay, which is a testament to the great quality and care they put into making such wonderful food. We were sad to leave, felt like we left with many new Egyptian friends, and truly hope to come back again as soon as we can. I should note that we came all the way from Canada as part of a multi-stop trip, so this should tell you how much we enjoyed our time there!

Beautiful resort, but the hospitality needs improvement

I recently stayed at Iberotel Makadi Beach, and while the resort itself is stunning, there were a few experiences that left me disappointed.

Pros:
The environment is serene and well-kept. The beach was absolutely breathtaking — crystal clear water and soft sand made for a perfect escape. My room was phenomenal — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. It truly felt like a 5-star setup in terms of accommodations and scenery.

Cons:
The food was just average, especially considering this is supposed to be one of the top Jaz resorts. I expected better variety and quality.
One major issue I encountered was the attitude of the staff. As someone from the Middle East, I felt there was a noticeable lack of warmth and hospitality extended toward me and others like me. The difference in how we were treated compared to European guests was very clear, and frankly, disheartening.
The resort atmosphere is also extremely quiet and geared toward older guests. If you’re looking for fun or youthful energy, this may not be the right spot.
Another major downside is the location — it’s quite isolated. If you want to explore or go anywhere, you’ll have to rely on taxis, and unfortunately, they tend to overcharge, especially when they know you’re a tourist.
Lastly, the management felt cold and distant. During check-out, there was no farewell, no smile, no thank you for staying — just a quick transaction. Hossam, the manager, in particular, cam

Loved the beautiful gardens, the beach, the pools and the relaxed and calm atmosphere compared to other hotels in the resort, all adding up to a truly refreshing stay. The food was also fantastic quality, make sure you book at the Arabesque restaurant for a try highlight. Only one minor issue was the cheap wardrobe doors which banged and clashed with the drawers, minor things but stands out against the otherwise excellent quality of the room, maintained to the highest standard by Mohsan (master of the towel art!) and the team.Above everything though, this hotel is all about the staff: you will not find a happier, friendlier, eager-to-please and personable bunch anywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our return trip

The hotel is kept very clean, and the area looks beautiful. The beach is well-taken care of, watersports (wind-surfing, kite-surfing, SUP, etc.) are available at the beach hotel (at extra price). As advertised, the hotel is very-well suited for families with children.
We found it a bit strange that the swimming pool for children is not heated and the water that that pool is cold; so all children are in the heated pool by the bar. Also, it is not mentioned in the hotel description that the kids club only accepts children as from 3 years of age to stay without parents.

We were welcomed by a very welcoming and friendly staff. They were really amazing. Food was the best for us, the varieties, quality and the taste.
We enjoyed all our stay there. I will go back again and recommend it to all my friends.
My only concern is that the room and the washer-room were old and needed to be renovated.

Pool restaurant and Manger very nice gus food is great beach out of 10 I will give it 8 water is nice not shallow or deep. But there are some rocks need to be clean room is great house keeping is nice free landery but there like little stuff not make it perfect like it took almost 2 days to fix the TV the room on pool kind of noisy other than that the hotel is wonderful if there work on this little thing it will be one of the best hotels in hurghada

The resort is huge and feels really spacious. Lots of amenities to choose from whether it’s sports on the beach, tennis, spa or just relaxing. The staff are amazing, no request is too much and their focus is ensuring your needs are met and that you have an unforgettable experience.
The rooms are clean and well stocked with provisions and the grounds and gardens are beautiful.
I did not want to leave, it was magical and I will definitely be back.

Booked room overlooking beach, initial room too small so changed to larger room which was excellent. Hotel tended to be quiet of an evening, so very little to do. Experienced massage, which was very good.

The foyer could do with a face lift as it was dark.

The WiFi is awful. If you ned data buy a local sim at the aiport. Approx £10 for 8GB with Vodafone which is very fast.
The spirits are local and taste disgusting. Not what you would expect from 5 star.
Occupants are 98% German.
Toiletries not repleished in the room.

We had a great stay in Iberotel Makadi beach. The grounds were clean and well kept. The room was clean and pleasant. Staff is friendly and makes you feel at home and the beach/amenities are very good. I recommend this hotel and will be going back again in my next visit to Egypt

I really love the egyptian culture but was not sure to come to this place, but after having such an amazing holiday that would of been a big mistake. Makadi beach is beautiful the staff are extraordinary and super friendly very welcoming they always make you feel like home. There are lots of activities and great things to do .

Dissapointing stay ,too many disadvantages

I will not hide my sensation of great dissapointment during my four night stay ..
The pool was great and the beach was nice ,yet the food was terrible in both quality and diversity ..almost always the same dishes every day ..same kinds with minor changes ..
The room was very small ,hair dryer not working ,the balcony door was not working till they fixed it later ..i ordered for an extra bed for my 6 years old son but it was a total mess ,very bad quality and always fallen done ..i told the room service but they didnt fix it ...
Another serious problem was the staff ,some of them were polite and nice but others are rude but really all of them were tired and always there was shortage of them ..
The number of waiters in the main restraunt was small so the was great delay in serving beverages
The location wasnt good ; not enough services and lack of almost all facilities and too far from hurghada ..
It was a five stars hotel with two stars food and service ,i dont recommend it at all..value for money was too low

Letteraly, One of the Best Hotels in the Red Sea

We were a group of friends with their families and kids. Everyone enjoyed his stay; the staff were so kind and very patient and helpful even with the children. Room service was very responsive and extraordinary clean. The buffet was fantastic and have a lot of varieties for all tastes. The chef were even kind enough to listen to our special requests. We had two birthdays parties during our stay that will never be forgotten. Definitely, it was a very special vacation to memorize.

Hier stimmt einfach alles.
Die Mitarbeiter machen einen Superjob, stets freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen ist super lecker, einzig die Riesenauswahl macht es einem schwer 😉. Unser Zimmer direkt am Strand war wunderschön und täglich mit neuen Tüchertieren geschmückt.
Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal hier.

Wir waren zum 1 Mal im Iberotel und ich darf sagen, dass wir sehr zufrieden waren. Hier ist man sehr bemüht, dass es den Gästen an nichts fehlt. Das Haus, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Zimmer sind zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem war alles sehr sauber und der Zimmerservice war erstklassig. Einziges Marko war, dass unser Zimmer (Nr.9122) in direkter Nachbarschaft zum nächsten Hotel lag und wir die von 19.00 - 23.00 Uhr das sehr laute Abendprogramm ertragen mussten. Beim nächsten Besuch würden wir um ein anderes Zimmer bitten. Alles in allem waren wir aber sehr zufrieden und planen für 2026 erneut unseren Urlaub im Iberotel.

Die gesamte Anlage und der Garten sind wirklich wunderschön. Das Essen ist gut könnte aber an manchen Stellen etwas besser gewürzt sein, was in solchen Ländern eigentlich sonst kein Thema ist. Die Zimmer haben schon länger keine Renovierung erfahren, leider ist die Dusche eine Fehlkonstruktion und es läuft in Strömen heraus. Das war in beiden Zimmern der Fall, die wir hatten. Das Personal war stets freundlich und zu Späßen aufgelegt. Allerdings tendieren einige dazu den Service langsamer zu gestalten und sich ein wenig vor der Arbeit zu drücken, wenn der Chef nicht anwesend ist . Lag vielleicht auch am Ramadan, vielleicht ist es sonst anders. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr erwartet vom Sportprogramm, weil ich es aus anderen Clubs wie Magic Life, Aldiana oder Robinson gewohnt war. Man merkt aber, dass die Animateure keine Ahnung haben und sich selbst irgendetwas ausgedacht haben. Dabei wäre es relativ einfach ein gutes Youtube-Video auswendig zu lernen und z.B den Yoga Kurs durchzuziehen. Es gibt auch eine Surfstation, was aber mit den vielen Absperrungen der Riffs kaum zu meistern ist für Anfänger. Alles in allem war es ein guter Urlaub, ich würde nächstes Mal aber wieder etwas mit mehr Aktivität buchen wollen.

Gäste W-LAN funktioniert nicht, man wird tagelang mit vorschieben von Providerproblemen, defekter Leitung oder defektem Router hingehalten. Knallharte Aussage des Personals und auch des Direktors, Hotel ist für die Funktion W-LAN / Internet nicht verantwortlich, einzig verantwortlich sei der Provider, Probleme bestehen schon seit Monaten nach Providerwechsel.

Absolut falsche Darstellung und Täuschung der Gäste, da sich Mitarbeiter mit anderen Zugangsdaten problemlos an den gleichen Routern oder acesspoints anmelden können und die Funktion tadellos läuft. Also funktionieren die Komponenten und eine Leitung zum Hotel kann wohl nicht beschädigt sein.

Dieses Hotel wird sehr oft empfohlen, dahingehend ist man auch bereit einen höheren Preis zu zahlen, man rechnet nie mit einer derartigen Farce und skrupellos belogen zu werden.

Zur Abiturvorbereitung auch während des Urlaubs ist/war das Anpreisen einer kostenlosen W-LAN Verfügbarkeit mit der Auswahlgrund dieses Hotels.

Alles soweit ok, gutes Mittelklassehotel. Aufschlag für Alleinreisende leider sehr hoch. Publikum in den Herbstferien hauptsächlich 60 und viele tätowierte 50 Mittelschicht-Paare aus den neuen Bundesländern. Den Pool mit der Pool-Bar würde ich aus hygienischen Gründen meiden.
