Very nice hotel in Chinatown with many food/drink options locally or walking distance to M2 or M5 Metro lines for travel to main train stations or Central Milan/Airport . Bed was very comfortable and maid service exceptional . Breakfast was more than adequate with hot/cold choices . The only negative i can give is there was no in room kettle for coffee but other than that a very pleasant stay .

We went from Rome to Milan, first of all neighborhood was in China town, so if you are not big fan of smell of fish like me it's gonna be disappointment, after that lobby and reception was good but room was pretty spooky and old and humid, and smell of toilet was bad! We told them about smell but it wasn't helpful and smell remain for few days we were day.
For me bad part was place which was in middle of china town and top far from tourism attraction of Milan,

I used to stay at this hotel when it was l’ermitage hotel.
Even though the hotel was not new, the staff were very gracious, professional. We arrived at the hotel now under new ownership and we were not greeted by anyone. The is no one to help with the luggage. There is no beverage whatsoever in the mini bar. There was only one set of towels even though there was two of us in the room. This is now a motel, not a hotel. If your intention is to stay one night and leave, it will do. Otherwise, find another hotel. I do not recommend this establishment at all.

I loved the room but carpet and stained upholstery. Air conditioning turned off at 9 pm which makes no sense given that s when people need air conditioning. Hotel in la Spezia didn t charge us city tax to compensate for nights when air conditioner didn t work. This hotel refused to compensate us for the inconvenience.

Hotel was much better than expected. Easy to find with transport links nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfy. Decor a little dated but did not affect our stay. We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel hours before we could actually check in, which was really helpful.
We booked a suite for 3 people and glad we did as was perfect size, anything else would of been too small. Ate in the hotel one morning and breakfast was adequate (basic continental for 12 Euro per person). Lift up to rooms felt a little unsafe, but did not see option for stairs.
Lots of natural light in the room and had air-con.
Wish there were more pillows and drinking facilities (coffee sachets, cups, bottles of water) in the room.
Would recommend and stay again for an easy trip to Milan

Upon arrival to our room we found someone had already been in the room and drank a bottle of water. They also used the slippers and made a cup of coffee on the end table leaving a mess of sugar and coffee behind. The bathroom floor had what looked like splattered blood droplets on it. Generally needs updated. Shower was terrible. Couch heavily stained. Air conditioning not great. Noise from outside easily penetrated into room. Overall dissatisfaction.

Check-in around 5-10 min. Be prepared to pay city tax additionally (5 euro per person per night). We had a room on the first floor. Room and hotel definitely needs refurbishment. We didn’t buy the breakfast because in the area are many places where you can have breakfast for cheaper price. Hotel is located in good area surrounded by Chinese shops and restaurants, like a Chinatown :)

A large and comfortable room, and the location is ideal for exploring Milan, as it is close to Centrale train station and tram and Metro stops are nearby too. Metro line to San Siro stadium is just a few minutes away, making it a good choice for football fans, and Chinatown is a busy, exciting part of the city.

The hotel staff was super nice and overall the property was nice. There was a cute bar lounge area. My issue was mainly with the location. Not near anything. It’s completely in the heart of Chinatown and it’s really desolate and not a place you want to walk around at night. It’s a pretty far walk to get to any of the central locations (or an expensive cab). If the hotel was situated in a better location, I would’ve liked it better but I felt it was pricey for what I got.

The Hotel is in the middle of the China Town which is not bad and in the near of the hotel is a tram station, so you can easily take that to go the city if you do not want to walk even if it is a short and nice trail to the city through a park.
Most of the staffs were friendly. The room was ok, not to say \"too old\". It might have been cleaned up but you could tell that the building is old, so the sofa looked like it belonged to the grand-grand-grand-grandmother with its stains and the same with the curtain and the room smelled a bit of smoke if someone smoked in the room many years ago which also means that they never changed the curtain. The bed sheets also contained stains (black). I am sure that they washed it and the stain was not removable but in this case for 4 stars-hotel they could have changed the bedsheet instead of keep using it.
I do not know if it is common not to be able to open the window but if they just do not clean everything but keep things also hygienic, I would book the place again.

I enjoyed the fact that we were not that close to the center of the city but rather close to Chinatown and the Milano Garibaldi train station. I used the scooters to move around the city but the tram was also around the corner and taxi service was accesible within a couple of minutes of requesting. Restaurant inside was great and my family enjoyed our afternoons having coffee in the patio. My only feedback is that we were not informed that A/C could not be used in the property during that time so nights were significantly warmer than expected which was sort of an inconvenience. Other than that really enjoyed the place.

Decent hotel in Milan City Center in good location

Decent hotel and location. The hotel is pretty good. We were a bit apprehensive about the location as we read reviews about this hotel in Chinatown but we thought it was fine. There were good restaurants around and a mini-market close by to buy water and groceries. The hotel is close to tram station and it was convenient to buy a daily pass for Metro (price just went up from 4.50 to 7). Taxis were also easily available through hotel. Housekeeping didn't replenish coffee/sugar and shampoo/bathgel cosistently for the 4 nights and we had to call them everyday which they did but it was annoying to ask for things that should have been there. Location is convenient - duomo is 25 minutes walk and other touristy things are also withing walkable distance (<30 minutes).

They upgraded us to a suite since there three of us which was nice. Suite was spacious and the other non-suite room for our friends was also decent size. Overall we were happy with this hotel and would recommend for families.

Only a 1 night transit stay. Very comfortable and elegant hotel which seems a little out of place in the neighbourhood it's located. Close to the metro if you have good directions. Had drinks from the bar with 'tapas', or the Italian equivalent, which was a nice touch and a good bistro meal. Breakfast was very good. WiFi not the best.

The hotel is very nice but the area it’s just not the best one, is in the middle of China Town so the smell of fish and all kinds of disgusting smells are everywhere as soon as you exit the hotel. I like fish , I eat it , and I fish also , but I don’t know the streets smells like rotten fish. But the hotel is very nice and clean and the rooms are huge!

-Good location near China Town but still within walking distance to all.
-Reasonably priced
-The only hotel in Italy we had with a bath –big bonus for my wife.
-Plenty of cupboard space but no desk to work from.
-As we were on a budget we skipped most breakfast as these were priced at 12 Euros per person – nevertheless the breakfast were great.
-I was a bit shocked by the city levy, which came in at 40 Euros for the 2 of us for 4 nights and the bar prices, although standard for Milan were a bit high for us, coming from South Africa.
-Beware of the electronic bar fridge – apparently you get automatically charged when you lift something out of it and of course I inspected all but luckily had not to pay for anything.

Shower leaked so had to call 3 numbers for someone to come dry up the floor but that took ages too as they tried to fix shower which was unfixable so offered room change which we didn't as we were getting ready to leave for dinner and staying 2 night only. Stayed here twice. 5 nights in November and 3 nights in December. Not in the centre of 'tourist' Milan but that's exactly what we wanted. The centre is only 30 minutes walking distance anyway and the Metro will take you anywhere in no time. Plenty of good restaurants and cafes around. The hotel is just a 15 minute walk to Garibaldi Station, just one stop before the central station.

We walked to this hotel from Garibaldi train station, took about 20 mins but easy enough to find with Google maps. Impressed with the standard of decor given the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room small but what do you need ?! Lots of Chinese eating houses all around and a short walk takes you to many local Italian restaurants. I would recommend this to dive into the Milan history with the 3rd generation of Chinese then the culture of Milan on your doorstep.
