Our first time in Milan and I was not aware of distance of the main area. First day, we walked like 20,000 steps shopping around. So, location wise was not that close, still accessible via buses or metro. No complains about staff or room. Breakfast done at hotel for convenience. Same breakfast in all Italian locations! I can’t say it is not a safe zone, as I’m not familiar with the area but not a place you want to walk around at night. Specially if you are not local. But we did it and no problem at all. Not recommended. We found the way to use public transportation and it was great!

Very happy with our decision to stay here. The staff was very welcoming, rooms were a decent size for Europe, and my wife thought the gym was good too. The regional train is right next to the hotel but not loud. This train great way to get from and to the airport and save some money. Many of the sights to see and Milano Centrale are about a half hour walk.

I stayed here for a week. I had a superior king room on the 17th floor. The room was clean and modern. The room stewards always did a great job each day cleaning my room. This hotel is about a 30 min walk to the duomo and 20 min to the central station. It’s not essentially “close” to the action of Milan but I liked being able to walk and enjoy Milan’s beauty. Corso como is about a 5 min walk and it’s a cobblestone street with stores and bars/restaurants. You also have easy access to Piazza Gae Aulenti which is a 5 min walk as well. Overall I really enjoyed my stay, I never ate in the AC restaurant because it’s much cheaper to just go out. Only negative is the fitness center. For those who lift weights on a daily basis, the equipment is not sufficient enough to maximize performance. There’s 3 machines and dumbbells up to 10kg w treadmills and a bike.

The hotel is great for tram and metro for ease of getting into the city. Otherwise it’s over priced. The bed isn’t comfortable, the rooms are not sound proofed so you can hear people in other rooms talking. The doors slam. The cleaning staff are loud by 8am. The window glazing isn’t good enough and you can hear outside. You have to take your clothes down to a old iron in a gloomy room. How very 4 star… The staff on reception are perfectly pleasant. Didn't drink at the bar, zero vibe. Overall underwhelming and better out there. Wouldn’t go back to this hotel in this condition.

Good hotel for a business trip

Good hotel, with helpful and always friendly staff. My room on the 15th floor was comfortable and quiet despite the traffic on the street. Nice view of Piazza Gae Aulenti, close to many good restaurants. The only flaw is in the bathroom; there are signs of wear and tear, mould in the corners of the bathtub, quite worn faucets and apparent damage in the bathtub; for a hotel of this level, more effective maintenance would be appropriate. The gym is tiny but excellently equipped. Underground parking with very narrow passages but good overall for availability.

Not in the absolute centre, but just a short metro ride from Duomo - 8-9 stops Purple then yellow lines - and Monumentale metro station is less then 200 metres from hotel. Also in the area is the Monumental Cemetery - again a short 5 mins walk.

This hotel was perfect for our four day stay in Milan. The location was superb - five minute walk from the Garibaldi train station, less than ten minute walk to Corso Como and near the easy to use electric tram lines. Our superior king room was huge, with a gorgeous modern bathroom, sofa, table and two chairs. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. The staff at the front desk was super helpful with transportation logistics and restaurant recommendations. We paid $13 euros each pp for breakfast two mornings, and that was fabulous too. Full buffet breakfast, with fresh baked goods, cheeses, hams, fruits, yogurts, juices, etc plus an excellent espresso machine. We could not have been happier choosing this hotel.

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and the room was nicely appointed. However, the desk clerk charged me twice. I paid and had a reciept from orbitz/expedia and she forced me to pay again. Now come to find out i was correct and it will take up to 20 days to get a refund. Wow. Not very professional.

A bit off the beaten path, but close to Garibaldi, Corso Como and Porto Nuovo. Staff was friendly, although communication was challenging at times. Condition of hotel not as expected. Toilet was broken upon arrival and needed maintenance. There were rips in the sheets, poor quality bath amenities. Overall, not what I'd expect from a Marriott. I would only recommend if you were going for business and needed to be in this location.

Checked in to this hotel for a one night stay September 2020. This was my 3rd hotel stay since covid. Although the hotel seed clean, there was no statements , signage or evidence of enhanced Covid cleaning anywhere in the hotel. The other hotels has a great deal of reassurance that this was being done. The restaurant was closed down and there appeared to be no food service whatsoever., nor any guidance to get food in the area . Although I am a gold Marriott customer , the room
I was put in had frosted glass windows with no view.

just come back from 2 weeks trip from Italy. AC hotel is in a okay area, still need to walk about 10 mins to Metro and restaurant, but the hotel is very clean and comfortable, nice room with bathtubs in the bathroom, and good front desk and checking-in experience. and we got a very good price, will stay again if the price is still reasonable

The Stay was comfortable but the spread for breakfast was not so elaborate and for Eggs preparations besides boiled eggs and ready to eat omelettes the other items like fried eggs were only on order and was chargeable. which is unfair. The King beds were a little too small and room also very small.

I think the location near the train station and the direct access is to train station tracks and laundry facilities is a plus. However the neighbourhood is not to look at. The staff was great. The food prices are a little higher for the convenience. The biggest draw back are the various noises that happen during the night. For example, traffic outside, people walking outside who are talking loudly, dripping water seems like in the room then disappearing, proximity close to elevators makes you hear people coming and going, hearing music from another room or floor, hearing water run from bathrooms. These are all things from a person who is a heavy sleeper. I am sure my wife, who is a light sleeper, has a sure more. These are things outside the hotels control but are common concerns that happen in hotels. For that reason I would not recommend and stay neutral with rating.

The hotel itself was absolutely stunning and the staff were very attentive. In addition, it is so close to a major metro stop (garibaldi) with its own tunnel to the train that made it even easier to reach the metro when it was raining. I would highly recommend anyone who visits Milan to stay here especially with the views of the mountains and Unicredit Tower from our window.

Perfect hotel save for the noise

The hotel location is extremely good for public transport (including direct trains from the airport) and is a pleasant 30 minute walk from Duomo. There were plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The location is therefore very good.

The hotel itself is modern and well presented.

The staff on check in /out were friendly, efficient and helpful.

The room was gorgeous and very large. There was a capsule coffee machine which my husband said made good coffee (the tea was less good).

The whole hotel was very clean.

The bed was firm and very comfortable

The black out curtains were very effective.

This would have been a 5* review but for 1 major feature, which means we (regrettably) would not choose to stay here again: it was very noisy, both from internal corridor noise and external noise. I concluded the doors and windows had not been well soundproofed. On the first night, we were drunk so fell asleep easily. Unfortunately, I was then woken at 6am not only by the church bells right outside the window, but also the cable from the cleaner's hoover banging against the door of the room. Night 2 / morning 2 was the same minus the cable, but with people talking.

Night 3 was a more sober night, but the external noise made it impossible to sleep as there is background 'murr' from traffic, and then engines, trains and emergency vehicles on top. The windows don't block the sound.

The noise is a real shame as this hotel is otherwise perfect.

There is a gap all around the glass door to the bathroom. This means that all smells and sounds from the bathroom will travel to the room. Unless you're really comfortable with your room-mate, get a separate room!
