Charmful hotel in a small friendly town

Well managed hotel, friendly locals. Clean and comfortable. Good efficient and quiet air condition were able to provide cold AC in the room during mid 30c heat wave. The breakfast were plentiful and delicious! Recommended to those who drives.

Staying here was inconvenient. The cost of cabs and Ubers, due to early closures of local transportation, ended up being as much as a hotel in Centre City. The staff were mediocre and often seemed annoyed or gave unpleasant greetings. Verona is beautiful, though this hotel was the downfall of my trip there.
I don’t typically mind old/modern type of rooms, but I will say that they could at least get exact same lightbulbs as my room contained many different lightings of different hues lol.

Underwhelming. The property is old and quite dated. Rooms are somewhat smelly, furniture is from another century. The pool is tiny and crowded with children. The surrounding town and area are downtrodden and bizarre.

The staff is friendly but that’s about all I can compliment this hotel for. The prices are not cheap enough and considering the old age of the property and lack of air conditioning in the main areas I would not return to this hotel. Look for something else if you can. I don’t recommend.

We liked the hotel, also the staff both at check in and breakfast was nice and friendly.
What I found very unpleasant is that the hotel offers VIP access promoting free upgrade if available. The hotel was pretty empty, but upgrade wasn't offered upon check in. The room we have booked didn't have a bathtub and since we drove over 1000km that day I was really looking forward to take a bath so we went to the reception to ask about the upgrade option that was advertised. Receptionist told us we have received the room we have booked and clearly wasn't aware of this \"VIP\" upgrade option. In the end after explaining that it was a long day etc., she has upgraded us for free, but it's not nice having to haggle like this. The hotel should not offer this perk if they don't mean to provide it. This would totally put me off staying there again. Unfortunately.

Second Visit to this great hotel

Second visit to this wonderful hotel just south of Verona. It’s is ideally placed for a trip to Verona or up to Lake Garda and surrounds. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the pool is good and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The area is quiet and there is good free parking. If you get the chance, walk round the corner to Pizzeria Bel Sito, amazing food and really well priced.

I liked the location and the cleanliness. I found the staff cold and indifferent especially after a whole 9 nights there. Room was noisy due to a water tank in ceiling and bed was a bit hard.

Breakfast was really good but the evening restaurant was over-formal with sub-standard food. Better options are available locally.

Excellent value for money

We were visiting Verona for a couple of days. This hotel is about 6 miles outside Verona in the countryside which means you need to have a car to reach it. However, it was an easy 12 minute drive to the centre of Verona which suited us. This Villa has been beautifully renovated and modernised (eg excellent air/con and brilliant shower) whilst retaining lots of its original charm and quirky features. We loved it!! It's definitely not for folk who like standardised modern hotels (though nothing wrong with that) but for those who like something a little bit different. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the usual delicious hot and cold buffet - plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel is easily reached from the airport and set in a small village, so as long as you have a car there's no problem. Finally the pool (which is indoor but has a wall of doors which open out onto a lovely terrace was just great! We would definitely return to this hotel when we next visit Verona.

The hotel is conveniently located just 15 mins drive from the airport, 25 mins from Verona and 30 mins from lake garda. Recommend you hire a car to explore as the local area to the hotel is limited to a few local bars, cafes and restaurants.

The reservation was for two adults. When booking the reservation, my husband apparently accidentally did not mark two adults for the reservation. It was very late when we checked in and we didn't realize the error until checking in. The gentleman at the desk made a huge ordeal about it, insisted we must be charged and move rooms as well (even though we booked a double bed). We were very tired, we'd been driving for hours to get there and it was 1:30 in the morning and we were leaving Italy within hours of checking in. We tried explaining to this man that we had simply made an error when reserving the room, but he apparently cannot fathom that anyone would make this error. This lengthened our check-in, made it very stressful and left us with an extremely bad impression of the hotel.
However, the room was gorgeous and clean and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel ( and I'm a very frequent traveler).

The hotel was very dated and the day we got there was a public holiday so the hotel seemed a bit eerily quiet. The service provided by each person other than one male receptionist was excellent - really friendly and professional. That particular person came across as a bit rude and uninterested. He was the one who checked us out and didn’t even bother to ask how our stay was. The room, as mentioned before, is fairly dated but a very good size. Unfortunately, my husband and daughter got bitten by something whilst in bed on different nights so we are hoping they were mosquitoes! The breakfast selection was very good however more can be done with lunch and dinner. Your only choice is either bar food which consists of a melon salad, toastie and cheese and tomato pizza or the very expensive option of the restaurant. The food was delicious, however, be careful of the amberjack fish which gave me food poisoning. The pool was very nice and I liked the open indoor idea. The location is just outside Verona so really good easy to get in by car. The actual town has nothing going on though so it’s a bit dead. Overall an ok hotel but I won’t be rushing to go back there I’m afraid.

Very nice small hotel in vicinity of Verona, only 15 min drive. Good amenities, great food and vine for a decent price. Free large parking, nice pool and bar. Only complain would be not so good sound isolation of the rooms. You can hear your neighbors, at least on the second floor under the roof. All in all great place to stay.

Awesome pool and breakfast!

The hotel was very, very nice. My son and I were there November 23-35. It seems to be more of a business hotel. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and looked newly refurbished. Parking was free and available. There were a lot different foods to eat during breakfast. And the pool was warm and wonderful. The only full-service restaurant available in town was at the hotel. Other than a kebab/pizza take-out restaurant, there are no other places to eat in town. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant each night and it was delicious. Also we took the public bus into Verona (Bus 52); very easy. The hotel receptionist provided us the bus schedule. It was a great stay at this hotel.

Hotel is well maintained with clean rooms. Service is good, both at the reception and the restaurant. Breakfast is just ok, dinner - a lot better. Good service from the staff (Eugenia is one to note for excellent help with many matters). Language may be an issue outside reception - only Italian and - sic! - Russian is spoken by staff.
Location is very poor, and you absolutely need a car to get around.
We have not made use of a swimming pool but that looked nice.

Very good value, just a bit out of Verona

The hotel is a very nice villa with a great pool for cooling off, excellent breakfast buffet, nice restaurant for dinner, and very nice rooms. The only catch is that the hotel is 6 km out of Verona in a small town. The town is fun, but not much to do. You need a car to move around. But if you want a great price/value ratio, this is a very good option. And Verona is a wonderful city!

Very nice building in old Italian style, pleasant yard, pool & sauna included in price - these are \"pros\".

One big \"contra\" - you need to pay for Internet 3 EUR / hour extra. Also, we ordered a \"quadruple room\" for 4 persons (215 EUR - night), and our room was less than 15 sqm.

Overall: mostly OK, but a little bit expensive for the value it provides in fact.

Fine italian cuisine (needed as there are no restaurants around). Typical good breakfast buffet. Neighborhood is an Italian village (not of the charming type). Really great place to stay

First, let me warn you -- this hotel is not in downtown Verona like the map shows. It is about 8 miles away in Castel D'Azanno. If you read the text on the Maps & Directions page, it says that downtown is not within walking distance. DON'T let this stop you from staying at this fantastic hotel. It says they have a shuttle service but we just drove in and were able to find a place to park close to the sites we wanted to see with just a little searching around.

The hotel is very well appointed in a kind of rustic style. The rooms have exposed wooden beams and ceilings. Ours was one of the lower-end rooms and it was still almost a suite by european hotel standards with two large areas: one for the bed and one for a sitting room with a couch and coffee table and nice wooden antique-style desk.

The staff was really nice. There was a minor mixup with the first room we were given so they very quickly and graciously moved us to the room next door. The restaurant service was superb and the food was excellent, including the suggestion of a local wine.

The hotel was nice. the staff were nice and spoke English...which is helpful. Our kids really liked the pool...we had it all to ourselves. They had a good complementary breakfast....most European continental breakfasts only have like toast, some kind of meat, cheese, and something to drink. This hotel had a nice variety of things to eat. It's not a \"big American\" breakfast buffet....but it was good. Our bed was really hard...like sleeping on the floor hard. It had air conditioning which was good, and our room had a balcony and nice view. They should also tell you in their info on the resturant, that they expect you to \"dress\" to eat there. Overall we liked the hotel...it was very charming.

Parking was clearly marked at the hotel. The room was clean, though I missed having a power outlet on one side of the bed. The pool area with a sauna was very pleasant. Breakfast was sufficient, but it would have been nice with more less-sweet options.
The restaurant served excellent food, and I had the best dessert of my life (strawberries with mascarpone cream).
The location was very convenient, with a bus stop nearby that made it easy to reach the city. Staff were friendly and service-minded.

Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer, welches sehr dunkel und warm war (Zimmer 222), der Ort ist sehr unattraktiv und bietet keine Alternative Gastronomie
Möglichkeit mit mitgebrachten Speisen und Getränken draußen zu sitzen gab es nicht.
Morgens um 6:15Uhr würde das Altglas entsorgt, was sehr viel Lärm verurschte

Das Hotel insgesamt war sehr ansprechend, sauber, freundliches Personal, große Auswahl beim Frühstück, Möglichkeit den Pool zu nutzen....

Bon séjour mais deux points négatifs :
Chambre triple beaucoup plus petite que sur les photos alors que nous avons justement choisi cet hôtel qui semblait avoir de grandes chambres.
Piscine en accès limité, obligé de réserver un créneau horaire pour en profiter et ceux ci sont limités. Elle est mise en avant également sur les photos de l'hôtel alors que tout le monde ne peut pas en profiter.
Bon petit déjeuner et grand parking

Hyggeligt men støjende. Og spis et andet sted.

Rigtig hyggeligt lille hotel. Fin service og rart personale.
Sløj oplevelse i hotellets restaurant. Maden var kedelig og så endnu mere kedelig ud end den smagte.
Selv ikke en Panna cotta var det lykkedes dem at få til at smage af andet end luft.
Og det kunne man da eller godt forvente at et Italiensk køkken der brystede sig at at specialisere sig i lokale retter.
Derudover havde den kun åbent en af de 3 dage vi var der. Hvilket ikke var blevet oplyst inden.
Derudover et meget begrænset udvalg
Morgenmaden var på samme lave niveau som maden i restauranten.
Fin lille pool med tilhørende sauna og dampbad, som personalet var så flinke at tænde til os 20 min inden vi skulle bruget det.
Aircondition var så støjende at det lød som om der stod en traktor med motoren i tomgang lige uden på den anden side af døren. Og værelserne ud mod gaden var også ofre for rigtig meget støj fra trafikken fra gaden. Og en kirke der lå et par hundrede meter derfra gjorde jo selvfølgelig også opmærksom på sine klokker hver halve time hver morgen fra kl. 08.00
Så medbring ørepropper.

Avevo già soggiornato presso questa strutture qualche tempo fa ed è rimasta sempre ad ottimi livelli. Cordialità e gentilezza dello staff. Camera confortevole, pulizia buona. Colazione varia e abbondante. Ottimo il ristorante con buona scelta di vini. Direi veramente OK. Bravi e continuate così

Hotel molto bello, ottimamente rimodernato. Attenzione alla scelta delle camere: alcune sono piccoline ma con ogni confort. Solo il box doccia in questo caso può essere problematico per chi non ha dimensioni esili.

Ottimo hotel a 10 km da Verona . Buona la pulizia ed il comfort delle camere, colazione migliorabile nella varietà ma comunque accettabile . Ottimo il ristorante le vignale
