We stayed here for our first anniversary vacation around Italy. Before I go into any other details I just need to take a second to say the front desk staff were super kind and helpful. Jasmine was especially awesome. She helped us with questions about using the trains, laundry services in the area and even getting us a taxi when needed. With that out of the way the room was as expected. Yes the shower is small but it had great water pressure. I am 5'10\" and a little on the thick side and was able to use the shower perfectly fine. Oh and it doesn't seem to mention on the listing but there was a mini fridge in our room. Also, a possible money saving tip if the 2 twin room is less expensive the beds can be slid together to make a larger bed for a couple. The hotel also had a great breakfast service with a good variety of food options and was always well stocked. They will make you an espresso or cappuccino to start your day also. Another huge plus is that there is a train station that is only a 6 minute walk from the hotel. It made it super convenient to visit downtown Verona and even Venice. A few things to note before booking though, the elevator is closed from 11pm-7am if you are checking in late or out early you will have to carry your bags down the stairs. The second is partially a cultural thing, it is good to watch some videos on norms of Italian life but the desk staff is unavailable from around 11am-2pm so you will want to wait until your 2pm check in time to show up.

There was not very many plugins and the few that were there were loose for connection.
Also, there was 3 light bulbs above the bathroom sink mirror, but only 1 worked.
The shower was the smallest I've even seen and used. Very tight.
Giving credit where due, the breakfast was good with a very good selection of meats, pastries and some vegetables.
Also, the lady at the front desk was very good.
However, would I recommend this hotel; NO.

Great place to stay in Verona if you have a car.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. Onsite parking and air conditioning make this a good choice for travelers driving to Verona. It's about a 15 minute drive to the city center where reasonably priced underground parking is readily available.

My room was spotless,

The included breakfast offers eggs, rolls, cheeses, sliced meats, cereal, fruit juices, coffee, tea, and more.

Excellent location for the airport. Transport links to and from Verona are good during the day but only option getting back late at night (after 20:30) is a taxi which is around 20-25 Euros. Couldn't find any public transport after that time.

The hotel is nice and clean, room amenities are perfect, comfortable bed and the staff are very helpful. My son and I arrived a little early but the lady on reception did everything she could for an early check in and also provided some complimentary refreshments whilst we waited.

They provide a continental buffet breakfast which was excellent too.

Can't fault the hotel at all. Would recommend to others and would stay again.

My check in was quick and efficient. The ladies at reception were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious (we were 2 adults and 2 kids) and very clean. The free parking was conveniently located near the back entrance and there was an elevator. We appreciated having AC, wifi, and a television in our room to watch Euro2024 matches. The only thing that wasn’t outstanding was the free breakfast. My picky children didn’t really like it but it was perfectly suitable for the adults.

We arrived at 22.30 as our flight was delayed. We tried to notify the hotel as their check in closed at 23.00 but the gentle man only spoke Italian and we only spoke English. After what was a mad time trying to get a taxi, another couple who were going in our direction shared ours. This was fine by many people in the queue (highly recommended and cheaper). We eventually got to the hotel and the gentleman let us in, he'd stayed behind to ensure we got in safely. The place is extremely clean and the bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The room was just the right size and the bathroom did it's job. The only thing that let it down we're the sockets in the room as it was difficult to put your adapter on as the hole size was loose. This seems to be a common problem in Italy. The breakfast was fresh and the was a good selection of hot and cold buffet. The bus stop to the centre was a two minute walk and the metro. Mariana gave us directions to the shop to buy the bus tickets. We would concur with other reviews it is worth using if you are arriving in the evening.

Last minute stop near Verona airport. Great value for money and only five minute drive to the airport. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
Not much around the area and public transport limited but the staff tried their best to help us. Verona city is only ten minutes by train and the station is a walk away. Limited transport on a Sunday.
Local restaurants can get booked up especially weekends.
Very clean and comfortable. Could do with kettle and coffee/tea in room. Breakfast is buffet style and very nice.

Lovely hotel near to Verona airport. We booked this flight as we had an early morning flight and they offered a free shuttle bus (according to hotel.com) just to note the bus isn’t free and cost 20 euros.

The hotel itself is lovely, clean and the staff and very helpful and friendly.

Despite the misleading info on hotel.com ( not the hotels fault) I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly helpful staff. Parking not well signposted but OK once found! All basic amenities needed were provided. Layout of bathroom meant not much room with the door open but that is a very minor point. Beds and pillows are definitely firm, not soft.
Excellent double glazing soundproofing to road outside so no traffic noise heard at all.Less good soundproofing internally but as expected in an Italian hotel where tiling and lack of curtains makes for less noise absorption.
Excellent varied fresh and tasty continental breakfast included.
Overall an excellent overnight stay, would be happy to return.

We got what we paid for excellent value the staff were very polite and helpful it was clean and tidy basic but comfortable would stay again.
The area is pretty run down with nothing much to do hiring a car is a good idea however the train station buses and airport are all within walking distance.
This is ideal for a value base camp as all the main places of interest Verona ,Venice,Bolognia,Florence or even Rome are all doable in a day.

Was a 4 night stay at below hotel.
7 minutes by train station (which is 3 minutes walking) to city center (no stops)
Great staff, speaking EN, FR, RU, UKR, great breakfast, kids chair, kids small playground inside the cafe... room was clean every single day!! Reception staff was very kind, gave advises on the bus / train routes and suggested a day trip to Garda lake (we went to Desenzano 20 min ride by train and then were going with a boats to few small cities and returned in the late evening). Venice is 1.5h ride by train from Porta Nuova (which is 7 min ride from hotel) Good wi-fi, TV, small fridge. 2 pizzerias and 1 restaurant within 1-3 minutes walking from the hotel. Guys, and another great thing is that airport is 10 min ride by taxi (10 Euros) Very good, 5 out 5. Big thanks to admin guy Nikolai - who is very friendly and a real man who helped us.

Hotel near airport with trains & buses into Verona

The Gattopardo hotel worked out better than our expectations. Only a 10 euro taxi ride from Verona airport. Clean and quiet room. Breakfast was reliable and staff were helpful. We walked the few minutes to the local railway station and caught the train which got us into Verona quite quickly for daily sightseeing. The trains only run on about hourly intervals but we aimed for and easily caught the trains we wanted. We had a nice dinner for a reasonable cost in a restaurant that is located on the same side of the street just a few paces away. We noticed that many of those eating in the nearby restaurant were locals, whereas when eating in central Verona the vast majority were tourists.

Excellent service and very helpful staff - looked after cycle bags for the duration of our cycle tour holiday. Also very accommodating with cycles safely stored inside hotel. Quiet medium sized rooms, clean small ensuite. Excellent breakfast and staff. What lets this hotel down are the uncomfortable beds and pillows (too hard). - upgrade these and the hotel would get higher ratings.

staff helpful. but because when i rang to find out how to get there from verona station and there was no reply and big cues for the train information and or the wrong information being given to me by the traim people it cost me a fortune to take a cab to the hotel/ i actually showed the receptionist my unanswered calls to the hotel/
but once inside all is pleasant and staff were great and helpful.
perhaps august isnt best time because everything is shut apart from pizza and last buses to location are far too early.

Very nice, clean and contemporary styled hotel. Continental breakfast and sitting area was very good and comfortable. Had some trouble checking in since we arrived late and the front desk was closed. Apparently, on the front door was a phone number to call to check in but since we came in the back where the parking lot was, we did not see the sign. Even if we had though, it would have been difficult to call since we did not have an international phone. We were fortunate enough to have two women who were staying in the hotel coming back in for the night and they helped us. Despite the language barrier (they spoke only Italian and we only spoke English) they were extremely sweet and figured out to call the number for us and the front desk clerk arrived after a few minutes. I would recommend that they have a buzzer connected to the room where the front desk clerk stays rather than a phone number or in addition to the number. Other than the scary start of us losing the room altogether, it was a nice place to stay.

Great Off The Beaten Path Hotel

I simply loved this quite, family style hotel and the entire staff, who treated me like family. My room was on the street side and at first, I was a little concerned about possible noise; however I found my room to be very quite during the evening. The Dossobuono Train Station is located within walking distance and is about a ten minute ride to Verona. There is a laundry facility and two markets also within walking distance and several restaurants and or cafe's nearby and in walking distance. I think that if the hotel were to have a restaurant, it could easily be a 4 or 4.5 star hotel. My room and the hotel was very clean, then only think that concerned me was the fact that the walls between the rooms are extremely thin; however I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Free WiFi was a bonus! If you are looking for a hotel off the beaten path and located in a very quaint Italian town, this would be it.

very good hotel

Pros - Stuff very helpful and knows English pretty well. Great location - close to the autostrade. The room for 4 is very big. Very good breakfast. Room is clean. Convenient parking. Free WiFi in the room. Con - no bathtub, only shower.

Not in Verona

The discription online said close to the station and it was just not Verona. It was a twenty euro tact ride from the town centre as the was no directions on the website. However once there the staff were great the very helpful explaining about the bus which stopped just the road. The room was warm and very clean as was the ensuite bathroom.
