So close!

Great hotel but the pool was not heated, the steam shower was not working, another hot/cold shower was working. Would've given it all 5 stars otherwise. Room service & bar service was spot on perfect!

This place is wonderful!!! Rooftop seating area is awesome and the staff is top notch.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I definitely want to give this one 5+ stars. I left my very good jewelry out and Cleaning came in and cleaned the room and left everything right where it was. It’s an extremely safe hotel.

Swimming pool out of service with no prior notice. Hotel details specity laundry facilities but these don't exist, instead there was a outside laundry service but as arrived Friday and left Monday this was useless. Breakfast was very poor selection & quality. Advertised complimentary water in room, this was one small bottle on arrival and was not replenished during stay.

Very serviceable business type hotel. A little far from the town center if you are a tourist. There is a bus nearby, but you may wait a bit if you miss it. Not many conveniences in the immediate area, but the hotel is clean and new. Did appreciate that the room service stayed open extra late for us when we returned too late to find food in the area. Room service pricing was very reasonable also.

Hotel was very nice. It has all the comforts you can want and the staff are super nice. The hotel however isn't very close to The main areas and the shuttle only does a 3-4 trips a day and is almost always booked requiring guests to get alternative transport. About 15 euros per one way to main center. Guests may be fine if they book the shuttle a couple of days before you want to use it. Aside from the location I highly recommend this hotel.

Here's why you should stay here

My husband and I left the CP in Milan (average) to come here and are so happy we did. The hotel staff was beyond accommodating and will happily do most things if you just ask. Resturant food sent to the room, ok. Fresh flowers for romance, ok. Just ask! The room is very comfortable, the bed is not a full king but still the best nights sleep I have had in a while. The room has an option to pull down a black out screen which was helpful for a sleep in morning. There is a free shuttle to and from Verona making staying just outside of the heart of the city still very reachable. If you have time catch a sunset from the top floor spa pool with sauna and spa shower.

Very nice hotel, comfy rooms with very comfy beds, very nice shower with strong pressure. There are plenty of underground parking which for me didn't cost a penny, the swimming pool upstairs is very very nice, but the steam rooms were not working :-( the breakfast was also really nice. I suggest a little explanation on how to work the air conditioner, I couldn't change the temperature..

The staff were very helpful and nothing seemed too much bother. The facilities were good and the room was sensibly sized.

The only issue was the location was a way out of the centre of the city but the hotel had a free shuttle bus that mitigated most of the impact supported by a bus stop just outside the hotel. A taxi - at 15 Euro - solved the problem of getting back late at night, so hardly a major problem.

Excellent breakfast buffet. Small, fully funtional room. Very helpful staff in bar and front desk. The only drawback is the location, a 15 minute drive from the city centre. We used the hotel shuttle (that runs 5 or 6 times a day) and then took a taxi (12-14 EUR) back. We are coming back to Verona in 2 weeks, and they will store an extra suitcase for us until we return. An excellent hotel.

This is an excellent hotel with great facilities but it is located some distance outside the city. If staying for some days, taxis become quite costly although there is an occasional free shuttle bus operated by the hotel. There are no restaurants locally and the food at the hotel for dinner is limited. I would not stay again if I did not have a hire car

I was at the hotel on business for 5 days. The room was ideal - big, extremely comfortable bed and bedding, and well laid out. Reception was engaging and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, a choice from the usual killer foods, plus cereal/mueslis, and pastries. Coffee Italian style and American style. My only disappointment was the disappearance of the smoked salmon. There on the first day, it never reappeared.

We were in verona for the opera and booked crowne plaza the night before. It was the best option in terms of price and star ratings.The hotel itself is good, modern - rooms a bit on the small side but generally it's a nice hotel with very comfortable bed. Now, the problem with this hotel is the location, terrible! The opera finished at 12.45am and we wondered out with the intention to find a taxi back to the hotel - there were none, literally! So we kept walking in the general direction of the hotel with the hope to flag down a taxi, none came by, After 45 mins of walking we are in the general vicinity of the hotel - there are no signs for this hotel for the main road, none! And the area could not be more dodgy, actually quite scary with some ladies of the night working. If you stay at this hotel be sure to book a taxi and don't wander out of the city centre! We were quite glad to check out at 10am the next morning.

We stayed in two twin rooms on the sixth floor in July. Positives- due to its location out of town the hotel was very quiet. Reception very efficient, staff friendly and the bill was correct on checkout. - we ate one evening meal and one breakfast In the restaurant, which at €18 for breakfast was over priced. Staff friendly. good sized modern clean rooms. - Beds pillows and sheets very comfortable. - Bathroom modern and well equipped with wet room style shower, bidet, toilet and basin. Hair dryer provided. - maid service every day, towels changed daily.
Negatives - restaurant over priced and service un attentive and slow. - Coffee pots were stone cold. I would suggest using the coffee shop outside the hotel which was nice, good food and excellent value for money but closed on Sunday. - there is a shuttle bus operating, how're the first run of the day is 11am and the last 7pm with only. 6 pre book able seats. Taxis arrive quickly when ordered and fist us in the region of €10/13 to Piazza Bra. The gym is poorly equipped. All in all I would recommend and return to this hotel.

We spent 8 nights at the Crowne Plaza and enjoyed having the closeness to the city and the great accessible rooms. My daughter is in a wheelchair and loved to have her own bathroom. A ways away from the city center

Close to convention center and other out of town businesses, but quite a distance from the city center. Shuttle will run you in/back, which makes it worthy of consideration. Bed was hard/uncomfortable, but the rest of the room was modern/clean. Surrounding area is a bit shabby and walk to the bus stop is a bit of a hike.

Extremely poor location which is isolated in a run down industrial estate. Extremely poor shuttle bus service with no other mode available transport other than expensive taxi. Breakfast extortionate cost of £18 euro pp continental, with no alternative in area so we had no breakfast for 3 days. Not really a swimming pool its tiny more of a dip pool.

The hotel is well situated if you are attending an event at the Verona Fiera. Otherwise, it is far from the beautiful center of the town. The hotel does provide free shuttle service to town a few times a day. The staff is wonderful. Exceedingly so. We had problems with a cell phone that we had purchased, with checking in for our return flight, and a couple of other things. They worked on these things well after we had told them that they had done enough and to stop. The food in the restaurant is also very good for dinner. Don't go there for breakfast as it is very expensive for what you get. Go to the place (the only place) that is about a block alway and is called something like \"Fast and Slow Food\". The food is really good and inexpensive.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and modern. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, and all the staff were very friendly. It is approximately a 10 minute drive from the centre town, we had a car and would recommend hiring a car if you plan to stay at the hotel and want to go into town. It's also a great location if you wish to drive to Lake Garda (30mins) or Venice (1hr15mins). We also enjoyed the small gym, and pool/sauna room!

Booked this hotel for a weekend trip to the opera. It's clearly geared towards business users but still a good choice for tourists who want more for their money than the hotels in town offer during the festival. We had beautiful and luxurious room with king size bed. Gorgeous bathroom with fab shower and bath. Ride into town is 10min in a taxi and costs about €12. Airport taxi ride cost is €25 each way. Hotel also booked an extra opera ticket for me without charging commission. Lovely spread of continental and cooked breakfast. Pool is great bonus (though v small), as is the gym and sunbathing terrace. Only downside is location (in industrial area).

Couple Easter get away

My boyfriend and I went for an Easter get away weekend. We picked this hotel because I like luxury. It wasn't disappointing in any point apart from the location which is a bit outside the city centre. The Hotel is in amazing conditions, brand new, there is a shuttle to pick you up and drive you to the city centre in the morning and the evening. The gym and swimming pool were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and did understand that I wanted to practice my italian and tried! :-)
We had room service which was very quick and very good! Apart from the TV which takes a while to switch on I would recommand this hotel. It is clean, design and contemporary and is a great place to stay at once you are done with Verona city centre. Thanks!

Crowne Plaza Verona - modern and luxurious hotel

This is the modern brand new shining luxury hotel with a classy design inside-out - I confirm all the previous reviews I've read on tripadvis0r. The staff was very friendly and the room is very modern and clean, very well maintained, the bathroom is modern as well. The breakfast is very good, I can compare it with the best 5-star hotels in Italy -regarding the quality of the food, but the service during the breakfast of course is not so 5-star, but it is not so important as for me. Our rate (pretty good deal, real value for 122 eur double room) included breakfast, but for internet access via Wifi you have to pay separately, something about 16eur per mobile device(ipad, smartphone) or 20 eur per laptop per 24h, for each payment only 1 device can be used, be aware. The neighborhood is horrible, dodgy ppl around and there is no closed yard or territory around the hotel, so reception advised me to park my car in the hotel garage which cost me 18 eur per night. As I've mentioned we were travelling by car, so the location was not so important for me as the city center is about 5-10 minutes to drive. Be aware about the lobby bar prices: the spirits are around14 eur per shot - crazy, and the beer is 7-8 eur. Facilities which include small gym and a very small pool are located on the top floor, also there is a wonderful open terrace to take sunbath and see a beautiful view over Verona city and suburbs.

Horrible experience

This is a brand new, very clean and very modern hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was also clean and modern.

However, the location is well away from the centre of Verona, a cab costs around 11 Euros. We had an idea about this before the booking but booked it anyways because it looked like good value for money.

The worst part was the service. It started off well, we were welcomed with a smiling face, check in went well. Advice on location of opera house was very useful.

When we went up to the room, we realised that the phone was not working. We went down and reported it. Somebody came up and looked at it and then left saying that he will get help. After 20-30 minutes of no news, I went down again and saw somebody getting ready to go upstairs. This gentleman couldn't fix it either. We didn't hear from them for another half an hour.

My wife had to talk to her family so she went down a third time. She was told that the phone could not be fixed and they had no other rooms. They had not bothered to convey this to us while we were waiting upstairs in the room. She got them to give her free internet for an hour so that she could talk to her family on skype.

Later on I needed an iron so again had to go down to reception, had to wait 10 minutes for somebody to be free, only to be told that the entire hotel only has one iron which was not available. When I asked for a UK adapter, they said that they only have 2 which were with other guests. The same answer was given 6 hours later. This is large hotel and for them to have 1 iron and 2 adapters is something new to me.

The general attitude of the staff was dismissive and they clearly lacked the right communications skills. The lady at the reception also promised me that she will speak to the manager and get back to me but that never happened either. This attitude just spoiled the whole verona trip for us.

So if anyone wants to stay in a nice, clean, modern hotel far away from the main attractions, do not need an iron, room phone or adapter and do not care about lack of service, this is a perfect hotel.
