I cannot fault anything about the hotel. It was excellent.The room was huge.clean and well equiped. Breakfast was all it could be and the staff very helpfull.Anyone staying just needs to be aware that to get into Verona you need to use a car,bus or taxi or its a long walk by a busy road.

Hotel is a lovely well presented place located just outside Verona.
Found it very easy to get around using the bus. A quick 7 min bus journey from a bus stop located just over the other side of the road.

The hotel staff were helpful and attentive.
Asked for extra pillows and the lovely lady from reception brought them up to our room.

The bed was nice and comfortable, rooms were quiet, clean and had plenty of plug sockets.

WIFI needs a little improvement in the rooms, in some places it was a bit patchy but it was useable.

Breakfast is included and was perfectly fine.
Had a good selection that should be fine for everyone.

The roof area was also lovely especially the fact they have real grass on the roof instead of artificial grass. Was a lovely surprise.

Room we stayed in had a slight issue with the lights in the cupboard where they’d just keep flashing, wasn’t much of an issue because we just left them switched off but the hotel staff we’re notified and said they’ll get it sorted.

A very pleasant and relaxing visit to Verona.

A really nice hotel. Well maintained. Bedroom was a good size, comfortable and cleaned each day and new towels provided. The breakfast provided by the hotel was good. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated south of the main train station. It’s a 20 minute walk. I would recommend a bus €2 or taxi €10. I would recommend that the hotel prepare and issue an information sheet for guests on the bus services from the hotel (bus stop around the corner) into the train station and city centre. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right bus back to the hotel after 9/10pm. I would recommend the hotel to visitors to the city.

This hotel is NOT 4 star property! It’s very basic, lacks basic amenities, primitive breakfast, inconveniently located far from the city centre (we used bus which is affordable but runs whenever the driver wants- the schedule is just a general idea).
AC is regulated by the front desk, the thermostat in the room is disabled.
I do NOT recommend this hotel.

This was an ideal location (10 minutes walk) as I was working at the Jobs Orienta fair at the exhibition centre.

The hotel was basic but comfortable, there was no kettle in the room but the receptionist was able to provide this when I asked.

The breakfast was good but a big shout out to the staff who were friendly and very helpful, especially the receptionist Shciadey and the waitress Marta.

The room was very nice and spacious and the bathroom was great. However the air conditioning in our room wasn't working and when we told reception about this they brushed us off and didn't bother to investigate. Also the fridge in our room wasn't cold. When we told reception about this they also did nothing.

The rooftop bar was lovely and with very reasonable prices. The hot tub was great, you can easily chill out on the roof terrace for hours.

Although the service overall was fine we did have several strange interactions with the staff. For example, the complaints about the room were ignored. Also when we asked how to work the \"do not disturb\" display system the staff seemed very confused and acted like they had never heard of a \"do not disturb\" sign.

We asked to book a taxi to the airport and asked a member of staff for a taxi fare estimate. They seemed very confused by this question and plucked a random guess from thin air which was actually much lower than what we paid.

On another day we ordered pizza from the restaurant across the road and were surprised to find that there were no bins on the roof terrace, in the lobby or our room to put our pizza boxes in. We asked reception if they could find a bin for the pizza boxes and they dismissed us and said that there were bins (the closest bins were a walk down the road).

It is a lovely hotel but the service could better. Especially since weren't asking for anything out of the ordinary.

Front desk staff not helpful. Had an unexpected medical procedure and clerk was rude and wouldn’t allow changes to our reservation when we needed to check out early. Charged us for a night we didn’t even use.
Would not recommend this hotel. Also too far away from city and activities.

Hotel is located in a residential area close to highway. Getting to downtown Verona is very easy by car (8-10 min). The hotel is clean. There is a small parking lot next to hotel but plenty of free street parking. We stayed in a room with kind size bed. The room is standard size for Italy. Shower is a square stall. The only problem we had was with wifi. Hotel offered free wifi, but on the third floor there was none (out of range?). We asked the front desk about this issue, and they said they had excellent wifi downstairs so they didn't believe us. If you stay here ask for a room near the elevator to be able to get wifi.

Our main problem was with the local transport. Buses seem to disappear after 8:30. No one in the hotel seemed to accept this. Nor did the tourist office even though the bus timetable had few bus routes with services after 9. The hotel was nice but the breakfast service was poor at he beginning of the stay, produce and dishes were allowed to disappear.

Great hotel room, we were upgraded on arrival which was a pleasant surprise. Very polite and friendly staff at the hotel, happy to help even late at night.
One thing that could be improved is the little bar on the roof. Perhaps a menu and a wider array of cocktails would have been nice. Although we still had a lovely time up there (despite the storm!!)

It would have been good to know how to get there, i.e. A bus to the central station then local bus out to hotel is a lot cheaper than taxi. Local bus services to the Centre of town are good cheap and regular but unsure about night service. Breakfast very nice.

nice warm hotel

when we booked into the hotel we were greeted very nicely and shown our room. after being out for a few hours returning to the hotel only to be told we have been given the wrong room and was made to move. this was a bit of a pain, but all things worked out ok in the end. The only thinks I will say against this Hotel is that there was no information in the room, there was no safe in our second room but was in the first room given. Worst of all I asked for a glass of red wine while sat in the roof garden only to be told that they did not have any!!!!!!!!
This hotel is on the bus route to get into the city, you can purchase the bus tickets in the shop just around the corner from the hotel on the other side of the road from the bus stop.

Perfect local for Veronafiere

The hotel is clean and modern. The breakfast in the morning is one of the best breakfasts you'll get for being included with your room. The staff is super nice and I highly recommend the restaurant directly across the street. The part of town around the hotel isn't booming, but it was perfect for going back and forth from VeronFiere several times a day. And there are great shops, including a wine shop and an ice cream shop, that are a 5 minute walk away. I would stay here again for sure.

Phantom shuttle bus

Hotel was fine but if you're planning to use the post opera shuttle service I wouldn't chose this hotel. There were two time slots - twenty minutes or an hour after the performance. We chose the twenty minute option and walked straight to the square after the opera where all the shuttle buses were waiting. There were lots of buses but none from Corte Ongaro. So we waited for the bus which was expected an hour after the opera during which time other hotel buses were returning regularly. An hour and quarter later we took a taxi - which, incidentally, was cheaper than the shuttle. The hotel manager flatly refused to reimburse our shuttle fare and claimed the bus had been to the square regularly all evening. Either he wasn't telling the truth or he hadn't been told the truth.

The hotel was lovely, the room was quite small for 3 people. My booking stated we were in a room with a balcony, but were given a room without a balcony and no slippers. The spa was nice especially on a hot day. Good undercover parking, location was a bit out of town, needed transport to get into town, but it was quiet. Breakfast was good.

I made a great choice!

I took a double-as-a-single (at that lower rate) and was very pleased with all the room that gave me, especially the private balcony. The hotel is thoroughly modern (e.g., the key is a 'swipe' card and lighting is efficient - but ample). Wifi is perfect. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is abundant and complete. The only detriment is the location; one MUST learn to use the buses (not at all difficult, and they run quite frequently) or bear the expense of taxis (7 euros from the train station). I would certainly stay here again.

A real value with all amenities

It was very good - good breakfast, friendly & helpful service, clean rooms. The building is not completely sound-proof but is generally quiet. Free parking garage is great. Although neighborhood is partly industrial/commercial (it is near the fair area, 1.5 miles from centro storico), I still found some decent streets nearby to go walking and running. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Great hotel, not in the city center but I strongly recommend for it's condition and hotel service quality. Better sleep here and make a short trip to busy city centre than trying to fell sleep at noisy streets in the city center. Only 30 min walk to city centre

We stayed at the Hotel Corte Ongaro as it was round the corner from a company we were visiting. Clean hotel with good air con (had to ask desk to switch on each day though ?!), decent sized bedroom/bathroom, free internet access, balcony and a reasonable breakfast. Best feature of hotel was rooftop area with seats and grass with lovely views. I would only stay here if back visiting same company else I would be closer to city centre but it only took 30-35 min to walk in.

Cons: terrible breakfast (it's an Italian thing), AC gets turned off by the hotel when they choose (waking up sweating is no fun), bus schedule provided by hotel is inaccurate (though easy to remedy yourself)...major con...the staff was unfriendly. Where's the warm, hospitable Italian staff??

However, saying all this if you get a good price, stay, but head into town to explore.

odd place but less expensive than others in Verona

We did not even get a greeting when we stood at te hotel. Itvseems like the hotel is unfinished somehow. The one lady at the reception was void of any personality. The brekfast was ok... just ok with one person only trying maybe to clean up... dishes everywhere... they seem understaffed. Air conditioning requires that the key is plugged in the wall... but eventually it got cold... just an odd place... hard to explain... if you are American you probably won't like this place.

The hotel was modern and clean. Primarily for business or couples I would say. It is convenient if like us you are driving into Venice. The parking is free. The downside is that it is in the suburbs and you need to get the bus into the centre although the bus stop is only a 100m away. The staff very really helpful.

Quality hotel in inconvenient location

This is a beautiful hotel in a suburban location. I could not fault the service or amenties within the hotel, but it was a substantial walk through dreary areas, to the historical centre of Verona. We were given a bus timetable and tried to catch the bus back, but the buses do not come often on the weekend, and for some reason the last bus of the day at just after 8pm did not arrive. If this hotel was situated closer to the historical centre it would be perfect.

The highlight of our stay at this hotel was the excellent front desk service. The woman working there was extremely helpful and went out of her way to answer our questions (re: transportation into the city center - bus and taxi, where to find certain shops nearby, places to visit or not to visit between cities). Before we left Verona, she also offered to call the hotel we planned to stay at next in Milan to gather information about available parking at the hotel and any other traffic concerns we would need to be aware of. NOTE: Various cities in northern Italy enact strict driving limitations at times when pollution is high (e.g. only car license plates ending in odd or even numbers are allowed on the road on alternating days when the pollution control days are enacted). The room decor was so-so (reminded me of remodeled college dorms), but they were clean, included a desk for work space and were completely sufficient for our stay. Note, the hotel also has a building next door for guests making longer stays. The hotel is in a quiet, residential area. You will need to drive, take taxi or bus to get to city center.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Everything was pristine and elegant. The neighborhood is nothing special and I was surprised to find the hotel to be so nice and upscale. I would have expected to pay twice as much for a hotel of this quality, it really is four-star.

The employees speak reasonably good English, and it is an easy bus ride to the center of Verona from right across the street.

Great hotel but far from the downtown

The hotel itself was great. The service was much better than in the other few hotels in Italy where I stayed on the same trip. The room in this hotel was also better than in the other hotels, but note that this is all in Italy, where rooms are smaller than in the US.

The only issue with the hotel is that it's far from the downtown Verona, so if you're not very mobile and want to tour the downtown, you may consider another hotel. We were relatively mobile, took buses/cabs to and from the hotel, and even walked from the hotel to the downtown, which worked quite well.

Good Hotel but not within walking distance from city center

This hotel locates in the residental area of Verona; away from the city center and main train station. We need to take a bus from the train station to reach the hotel. An alternate way is to take a taxi. However, the hotel has very modern decor and well maintained. The room we have is clean and spaceous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Surely if you do not mind an extra bus ride to city center, this hotel is an excellent choice for value because those inside the city cost a lot more.

A Good Choice

Hotel Corte Ongaro is listed as a 4-star hotel. It feels much more like a 3-star, though it has some amenities typical of a 4-star. Overall, it was comfortable and a good value. You can take a bus into town with little effort, so it wasn't too inconvenient, but it is not a walkable distance to the heart of Verona. I would still recommend it.

Dans les rues avoisinantes c’est plus limité mais de toute façon je voulais avoir l’esprit tranquille. Bonne variété pour le petit déjeuner. Autobus public (2€/trajet et les cartes bancaires/crédits sont acceptées)à côté pour se rendre au centre de Vérone, ce qui est préférable car il y avait beaucoup de travaux routier, de détours et de trafic pour un jeudi.

L'hôtel est un peu loin du centre historique, dans un quartier populaire. Il est globalement bien entretenu, le personnel est très sympathique. Notre chambre était spacieuse, avec balcon, mais mériterait un petit rafraichissement. Nous avons pu nous stationner pour 8€ par nuit en sous sol.
Le petit déjeuner est correct, mais insuffisant pour un 4 étoiles au niveau de la qualité des produits.

À 2km du centre en voiture, dans un quartier assez vide mais très calme. Parking gratuit dans la rue (pas senti de danger)

Neu aber ohne Seele...

Neues Hotel, aber irgendwie ohne Seele... Komfortables Bett, schlechtes Frühstück für 4 Sterne Hotel, die Koffer zum Zimmer muß man selber tragen, Lage so la la. Ich werde nicht noch einmal dahin fahren.

Struttura nuova con installazioni moderne e funzionali.
Personale disponibile e gentile.
Unico appunto negativo aspiratore aria in bagno molto rumoroso e difficoltà a regolare temperatura del condizionatore

Koselig hotell i et rolig strøk med en fin takterrasse. Rommet hadde en helt grei standard. Frokosten er ok, for den som må ha Norsk frokost , ta med brød ;) . Kjempeflott betjening og veldig hjelpsom i resepsjonen. For den som vil roe ned etter folkehavet i sentrum så er det en ypperlig plass for det. Prøvde en restaurant rett nede i gata som anbefales men ikke verdens beste på sjømat. Buss rett rundt hjørnet for de som vil ha den type transport. Alt i alt fornøyd med hotell og område. 5 minutt til et veldig stort supermarked.

Arena bollente...

Il nostro soggiorno a Verona, viste le condizioni climatiche impossibili (38°), si è limitato alla visione de \"La Traviata\" all'Arena. Lo spettacolo comunque è valso il nostro sacrificio. Fortunatamente la climatizzazione in Hotel era perfetta e ne abbiamo approfittato per trascorrerci più tempo possibile prima della rappresentazione.

Hemos estado dos días sin aire acondicionado en la habitación.. comentándoles los dos días hasta que nos cambiaron de habitación si no nos hubiéramos quejado estaríamos sin aire todo los días de estancia...

Parfait pour un court séjour.

Super hôtel fraîchement rénové.
Arrête de bus juste à côté pour se rendre en ville.
En face il y a un petit resto bien sympa et très bon.
Parking devant l'hôtel. Possibilités de mettre le véhicule en sous-sol contre paiement, mais quartier ok.

Das Hotel verfügt über eine schönes Rooftop mit einer Bar.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Der Teppich in userem Stockwerk war kaputt und nicht mehr schön anzusehen. Das Polster am Bettkopf hatte kleine Löcher.

Purtroppo non mi è piaciuto il sistema di riscaldamento della camera centralizzato e quindi non regolabile direttamente dalla camera.
Per il resto va bene.
