Overall a good stay

We returned here having stayed here three years ago. It is a modern hotel that is well located for the centre of Verona. Receptionist staff are friendly and speak excellent English. The room was a little small for two people to share for a week but it had air conditioning, a fridge and the bed was comfortable.

We had two areas of dissatisfaction regarding our stay:
1. The hotel has a bar and the signage indicates that they sell an enormous range of products. However, it seemed to close at 10pm (there was no notice informing us of this, but it was what the member of staff said) and when we turned up at 9.30 asking for a bottle of wine, he seemed unable to sell us one, despite the fridge being full of them - he claimed that he didn’t have access to the fridge as he was just security!

2. We asked for extra coffee for the room, which was provided at reception only to be removed by the person cleaning the room - it seemed that we had to hide our coffee from the cleaner!

We had a great stay at Best Western Plus Hotel De Capuleti! We were welcomed by the friendly receptionist that offered us complimentary drinks and snacks. Our room was available early, which was greatly appreciated after traveling for several hours. The room was clean, updated and had a nice view out the small balcony. The room also had a small refrigerator which was nice with cold drink. The water was commentary if you signed up to be a member of Best Western. Breakfast had a great selection to choose from. The location was great! It was close the several bus stops and the arena. We would stay here again.

We thought this was good hotel to use as a base on our recent trip to Verona, Venice and Lake Garda. It was a 20 mins pleasant walk to the main train station (Porta Nuova) and less than 10mins to the Arena/main areas of Verona.
The hotel and rooms were very clean with maid service every day. All staff we encountered were exceptionally pleasant and reception staff informative.
The room was an ok size (we booked
the superior room) comfortable with a small balcony, tea making facilities and free bottled water (if you sign to Best Western). Good wifi connection too. The only negative was we could hear our neighbours in the room next door who had music on at 6am and you could hear them in the shower and every time they flushed the toilet.
Our bathroom had a good rain shower and regular shower combo, and the towels were thick and fluffy.
Breakfast was ok, the continental selections were great but the hot choices could have been a little better. We didnt leave hungry though and had plenty.
All things considered, this was a good hotel and would stay again

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our room 204 was bigger then most in Europe. We were given discounted breakfast from 12 to 8 euros, and free water from mini fridge for signing up to BW rewards card. The hotel was perfectly located near most of Verona’s attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms were okay, really could do with a freshen up. The bed wasn't comfortable and pillows were flat.
Location didn't seem the best, like no nice restaurants around the area at all unless you walk much further out.

Staff were helpful and we left our luggage on our last day when we went to the spa. Please take note if people leave pillows off the bed, they want them off the bed very annoying. Room was a good size and Alexa a nice touch.

I have to rate this hotel as excellent and it remains our favourite in Verona - very near to the arena where we saw the wonderful Tosca last night. The hotel staff are wonderful, so helpful and the breakfast selection was vast. The only issue my family had was the spa which had an issue with flies this year. I’m sure the management will get this resolved and we look forward to returning to this hotel in the future which holds so many happy memories for us. A special mention to the lady working in the restaurant - I remember her from our previous visits to this hotel and her wonderful smile greeted us every morning - Grazie:)

Check-in was quick and easy. We parked on the street and were given a free parking pass to put on the dashboard of our vehicle. The rooms are small, but are clean and comfortable. We had a nice breakfast at the hotel for only 8 euro. All and all, this is an excellent value for the money.

Positives: hotel is conveniently located only a few minutes walk from Piazza Bra + the Arena. The road in front is not very busy. Check-in was easy, the receptionist very kind and helpful, also those during the day. Just like the ladies serving breakfast, they were great, very attentive and helpful! The hotel was very clean, breakfast very good and the homemade cakes very tasty. Coffee was excellent - the best in a long time -.
Now the negatives: unfortunately, quite a few.
1.) we caught a bank holiday, the hotel was full + in the rooms opposite were five young women who returned early morning (3 to 4 o'clock) with a lot of noise - no more sleep -.
2.) The night porter was not very helpful at all: we asked for some coffee sticks and milk for the room as the maid did not fill up: \"This is not my responsibility, please ask tomorrow morning again.\" Customer service?
3.) On their Intranet site they offered a free of charge cocktail (one each per day). We used it 2 or 3 times, but there were no ice cubes (!!) available :-( They tried to charge us for these drinks - I had a picture of the screen.
4.) In the room the floor boards were moving and so the floor lamp was moving and squeeking. There was a step in the bathroom that took 2 days to get used to, not marked, easy to overlook and fall.
5.) We had a toast with ham and cheese, never had anything as dry as that: no butter, not properly toasted.

Pros and cons.

The service is great, and the condition of the hotel is excellent - very modern and clean and feels new. But, the walls are so thin I could actually hear every word of the conversation from the room next door. And the air conditioning is controlled by the front desk - either on (absolutely freezing) or off - but you must ask the front desk to control it. Those two things where significant, but there are many great things about the property too, so overall, good.

Highly recommended.

We booked this hotel for a last minute 4 night break in beautiful Verona. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a great power/monsoon shower.
Breakfast was ordered off a menu card the previous evening and served at your chosen time from 7.30am onwards. The choice was good and excellent value at €5 each.
The hotel is approximately a 5 minute walk to the Arena and 15-20 minute walk to the train/bus stations. Both bus and train services are both frequent and reliable with Lake Garda and Venice within easy reach.
We enjoyed a great few days in the area and will return in the future.

Staff friendly, hotel clean. Excellent breakfast for only €5. We went to the spa, €25 for 90 minutes but you get exclusive use of sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Free drink each day between 6:30-7:30pm is a nice touch!

- central location, within easy walking distance of Arena and the old town
- most staff very pleasant and unobtrusive
- breakfast offers quite a good range of foodstuffs for the €5 extra per person per day you are charged.
- complimentary water every day in the minibar.

Poor:
- design of the room, which is very modern but appears to be planned for a one-night stay - we stayed in a superior room but it was designed with no drawers ANYWHERE, so you had to live out of a suitcase. There were only 4 combined shirt/trouser hangers (plus some skirt hangers) in the wardrobe for the two of us
- still on room design, there weren’t any coat hooks so if it rained (and it did) you have the choice of putting your wet coats in the wardrobe with your clean clothes or draping them over your suitcase.
- there is a complimentary drink in the bar for an hour in the evening, but on the first occasion we were served with such bad grace we were put off. We did go back to the bar one night at 8.40 for a nightcap (the bar closes at 9.00) and when we went in the bartender was sweeping up - he clearly saw us waiting but disappeared off and never appeared again. We didn’t go back.
- on hotel’s own channel on the TV there was an ‘Italian/english’ option but it wouldn’t switch to English! Also the hotel’s weather channel appeared to be stuck on 19 March ( we were there at the end of May). There were a couple of news channels in English, though.

This was a friendly and welcoming place to spend the night after a long planes & trains journey from the US. The location is central, it's a short walk to the Roman Arena, Piazza Bra, Via Mazzini and touristy Juliet's House. Complimentary wine & Prosecco are offered in the bar early evenings. Rooms were on the smaller side but spotlessly clean, and one of our rooms had not one but two outside terraces! The breakfast buffet was fantastic - a great deal at 5 euros.

Great position, very close to arena area and train station only 20 minute walk. Staff all wonderful. Had to call a Dr for one of our party and hotel staff dealt with this for us and printed out list of chemists to get prescription. Room was lovely, modern with little fridge and small balcony overlooking a church. Breakfast a bargain at €5, offered fruit and healthy options and eggs and cereal, bread, cheese , salad, good coffee and lots of Italian cakes. Used the luggage room on the last day as had a late flight , no hassle, staff were all lovely.

Excellent hotel and staff, breakfast was great with a huge choice catering for all tastes and dietary requirements.
The complementary aperitif and snacks at 6pm were a nice start to the evening.
Complementary bottled water on a daily basis very welcome.
The balcony and views over the city were a bonus.
This was a celebratory trip for both a 60th birthday and 25th wedding anniversary, for which it had been suggested that a surprise treat would be organised, disappointingly this did not happen. However we still had a lovely time and a visit to the opera was marvellous and very easy to book on the day.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Verona, via Venice. It's close to the airport and clearly used for airline crew. I imagine most tourists only stay in Mestre to visit Venice or on their way elsewhere. The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. Lovely sheets and towels. The staff were excellent and provided us with bus tickets and travel information, which was very helpful. You would be hard-pushed to fault it.

Oasis of calm just a short walk from Opera

We arrived early Friday evening for a 2 night stay. The hotel presents a simple facade in a quiet back street. We were immediately put at ease with a warm welcome from friendly and professional staff who spoke fluent english. We had arrived just in time for 'happy hour' so almost immediately were able to relax in the cosy, contemporary bar with great music, prosecco and a Venetian cocktail (aperol spritzer). The room was equally welcoming, clean and well up to modern standards, with a private, enclosed balcony. We slept well and comfortably with no disturbance of any kind. Breakfast immediately adjacent to the lobby was relaxed and my wife's requirement for gluten free options was well catered for (and clearly well understood by the staff). In all an excellent hotel that we can recommend without hesitation. We will use it again if ever in Verona.

The hotel looked disappointing from the outside but was really excellent within. Just recently renovated and everything was done to a very high standard. The staff were friendly and very helpful and couldn't have been better helping us in so many ways. Parking was great and we were 10 mins walk from the Arena. The breakfast was the best value of our entire trip €5 was ridiculously cheap and it was really excellent. Only small criticism is the standard rooms are quite small but we didn't mind as we were out most of the time. Definitely will return here

The breakfast was very good, but for the extra 5 euro each. it should have been included considering the price of the room. This was a three star hotel with a four star price. Verona is a really tourist town. Not worth spending the night. You can do the town within an hour or two including the miniature tourist train.
Although I must say that the staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous hotel close to Arena

A really great hotel, very helpful staff. Very clean and modern rooms. A 10 minute walk to the arena. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel, short walk to the Arena

Small modern and clean hotel, the staff were extremely helpful. It was a good base as it was central and a short walk from the Arena and plenty of small bars and restaurants around.

Perfect location

Close to old town and arena but quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value buffet breakfast. Everything you need in clean rooms. Great shower!

Very Nice Hotel

Hotel experience was excellent. Accidentally tripped circuit breaker (our fault), and someone came very quickly to fix it.

Trendy hotel 5* shower

Hard to find is our only negative due 2 lack of obvious signage.. but once found...is a good 10min walk away from central area...very helpful friendly receptionist's n our family room was perfect!
