This was a good find. We had 8 rooms, all of which had unique layouts, but were all clean and comfortable. There are numerous communal areas as well for hanging out (a garden with seating, a full kitchen and eating area with a great view, and a living room type area). The check-in and breakfast were in a nearby building, which wasn't an issue at all. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good.

No AC and we couldn't have more than one fan per unit even though we had two rooms. We asked for an extra fan, were told we'd get one but didn't. Was impossible to sleep because of heat and extremely loud noise from the street. Not a pleasant stay at all. The cleaning stafd were very nice though.

The worst experience.

The worst experience ever i booked a room for 3 and got a room for 2 i talked to the guy there and he couldn t help me. In the room was blazing hot and there ware a lot of insects on the walls and on the bed. In this conditions I left the keys there and got another hotel. I want a refund for my money.

Toilet flooded and no toilet paper for 2 days

The toilet was flooded for 2 days and nobody did anything. Not only I asked them to fix it several times, but they also fail to provide toilet paper. They don't have anyone at the checkin counter, so I had to call several times asking them to do something about it. They always apologised and said that they would do something about it, but nothing happened. The worse hotel we stayed in Romania quite far and very upset with the service. Extremely disappointed with this place, I don't recommend it.

The room was alright overall and fairly clean, however, the property we stayed at was not the one in the pictures. It was a different location nearby. It's slightly misleading because the property in the pictures looks much better than the one we ended up staying in.

Good choice

This hotel was well located for my purposes. Staff was helpful. I especially liked a \"lounge\" area above the second floor where you can heat something for dinner in the microwave and enjoy a nice view of the mountain while you eat there. There is a kitchen on the second floor -- it was nice to be able to heat water for tea, but the downside was that sometimes people congregated there and talked when I would rather have been sleeping...

Very disappointing stay

Very disappointing stay. Booked a suite, but had an issue convincing check in person that we had a suite and not a standard room. Eventually sorted, but VERY disappointing accommodation. Lots of things broken, dreadful wi-fi, rubbish kitchen equipment, uncomfortable furniture, unfriendly staff, overpriced, etc.... Would rather we had not stayed.

Cute building, but you have to walk down the street and around the block a ways to check in. This could have easily been stated in the check in information, but instead is just posted on the door.

Check in took almost 30 minutes.
Parking is NOT in front of this hotel. Your reserved parking is in front of their other hotel and was not cleared at all of snow and ice.

In the room you have pretty white furniture, Very Good Internet, but cheap not padded stained carpet and the Heat is NOT controlled by room. The hallway was heated MUCH Nicer than the rooms. When the room heat was working it was very minimal. Lots of noise can be heard in the room at all hours.

The icing on the cake was the cleaning lady barging in 2 hours before check out without even knocking. I was changing... and there was no apology she just left.

~~~Recommended to find different lodging especially in Winter~~~

This was a mini conference type of event. we spent in the hotel two nights. Reception was kind and helpful. Restaurant nice but food too expensive. Breakfast not much choice.

Good value for money- couple POV!

I stayed 3 days with my wife.
Things that should be improved, from hotel side:
1-The lobby, at the entrance should be repainted/white washed, it does look worn out, which does not give a good \"first impression\".
2- the amenities/toiletries- the shower gel was completelly missing, at our request to have it with one of the housekeepers we were just told that\"it's missing, 'cause the holder is not working!\". to me this is unprofessional. could sinmply give some small soaps that should be found in any residence/hotel amongst the amenities. it is not a big deal, but...

Positive feedback - things for which is worth staying in!
- large rooms, very warm, I had to take off the heating, very unusual warmth in my room.
clean, 2 TV = LCD's with a large variety of programs, good choice.!
the area is \"packed\" with restaurants- very close to the main attraction, the historycal city center! 1.6 km in straight line, very nice for a walk.
- the kicthen- this is something of highlight! extremelly well equiped, everything a family might need, glassware/crockey/cutllery, pottery, fridges/ even a place ofr the smokers, with a nice view- very good \" heavy\" point.
Otherwise, as a regular traveller all around the world did not\"look for faults\", good ratio value for money.
Should i have a chance, will return to Ambient group :-)

Double charged our CC and found wet towels on the bed!

We arrived in Brasov and had a little trouble finding them. Because the admin building is in different location from where we were staying. (close but still there was no one at the building). Then when we got to the rooms (3 rooms) in one of them there was a wet towel on the bed and the bed was wet. We were tired and did not want to go 3 blocks to the main office at 10pm. Wifi didn’t work either. Then wen we were checking out we wanted to pay with another credit card than what was already on file. The lady was very helpful and did that, only later to find out that I never received credit for the transaction. I filed a dispute with my CC and later got charged again. I hope cheap tickets can issue a refund at some point.

Hard to find, wasnt clean.

First of all it was difficult to find. The admin building is on a separate street from where the rooms are. You have to go and get the keys and then go back and check in to your room. We rented 3 rooms. In one of them there were wet towels on the bed and the couple who was in that room couldn't sleep. We were on the road for 10 hours so it was very uncomfortable. Then I pre-paid for the hotel but when we came to the hotel another person wanted to pay, so we did. Later I noticed they never issued a refund. We paid for the hotel 2 times. Would not recommend.

This place is wonderful! Once you are able to find where you check in... Though it's not very handicap accessible, though none of Brasov is... But the room I stayed in was spectacular as it had a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom, all very nice and very clean!

Misleading Pictures...

This hotel is really only a good option if you are having a very short stay on a budget- the room is small, drab, empty, and mildewy. Our sheets were dirty, and it was just overall depressing.

Very important: the hotel building itself is UNSTAFFED - you actually have to check in at a different building a few blocks down the road. An extremely unwelcoming first experience...

If you're only in for one night and literally just need a place to crash then it's fine, but for anything longer you'll be very disappointed.

Upon first look of the room we immediately busted the laptop and booked a very pleasant stay at the lovely Hotel Armatti

Beware that taxi drivers at the train station charge 4 times the going rate ... call the hotel and ask them to send you a taxi instead .....there is a nice shared kitchen available ... there are no grocery stores in the neighborhood, in eastern Europe grocery stores are few and far between but there are pharmacies on every street corner, so you can eat aspirins i suppose..

Residence is not a hotel

Overall, a most enjoyable stay. The breakfast was overpriced and food and coffee not hot. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The wall clothes heater did not work and wet towels left on the floor did not picked up or replaced as you would expect in a hotel.it was very close to city center. I would not hesitate to return.

Avoid this dump

Dusty antiquated furniture, low ceilinged claustrophobia-inducing rooms, poorly lit and totally dated, and not even that inexpensive, my advice is to stay away. Have to point out that the maid staff was very kind, but otherwise there's no concept of customer service. We were unhappy with the room we got and did not get offered to switch except if we paid more. We ended up paying extra to stay at the related pension ambient, but that wasn't much better, again dated and depressing. Avoid at all costs.

Clean room 10 minutes walk from Old Town

Functional affordable room with interesting light kitchen area that is a nice place to sit and enjoy the filter coffee provided. Busy road at front, but our room at the back was quiet. Free parking is at parent hotel a few hundred yards away but it is possible to park nearby to unload. There is remote monitoring with CCTV from parent hotel, but no on site service.

The staff was extremely helpful and spoke good English. The room was very nice- we had a suite. The old town was very walkable from our room, and an excellent restaurant was right around the corner. The hotel staff recommended the restaurant for us. Also, the driver they contracted for our airport shuttle was very very nice and refused to take the tip we offered him.

Cheap Hotel in Central Brasov, but.....

We planned to stay one night in Brasov on our way to other places and wanted a cheap easy place to stay. Well, it was cheap ($46), but I am not sure it was worth it. First of all, where check in is blocks away from where your room is. And when you get to the building your room is in, it is dark, gloomy and slightly Bates Motelish in nature. And then there is the odd odor of the place. And there was NO ONE else there. Really weird.

However, on the pro side, the room was of a fair size and it had the best shower we experienced in Romania. Also there was a full kitchen and lounge area that we took full advantage of. And it is right in downtown Brasov so if we were staying longer it would have been centrally located for us.

Budget Hotel Located 10 min Walk from Centre

This is the unstaffed building of one of the three Ambient Hotels, the other being Hotel Ambient and Pension Ambient. Checkin and breakfast are at Pension Ambient, about a block away. The room is nice and clean, it is 10 min walk to the centre. If u don't mind staying in an unstaffed building and walk a block up for breakfast, this is quite adequate. Hotel can be reached by #4 bus from train station, stop Camera de Comert, about 10 min ride

Very central location in old style villa

Central location, recently refurbished villa, spacious rooms, very clean. Nice and helpful staff. Plenty of parking spaces right outside. Rich breakfast. 2 fully functional kitchens at the top floor (equipped with refrigerators, kettle, oven, etc). One of them for smokers! This one looks like a glass veranda overlooking Brasov - great panorama. I would surely recommend this location for longer stays.

This is a bulding without any staff, the staff/ reception is in a buling 150 away. Getting in to the building it was dark, no telephone and didnt feel completely safe for one woman travelling alone, so I asked to be moved to the Penzion Ambient, (from Ambient Residence) where the reception was. After some discussion they arranged it, at first wanting me to pay extra. If the room is in a building without any staff, it is for me not a \"regular hotel\", and that is fine, but I think this should be told in the description of the hotel. Despite for this, looked like the standard on Residence Ambient was good. The location is also ok if you want to go to the old time - 5-10 minutes to walk - but there is not much exactly in this area an a little quite for walking home late alone, so next time I would rather pick a hotel or pension even closer to or in the old town. at oenzion ambient the girls in the reception was helpful for ordering taxi, arranging laundry, answering questions about how to get to different sights in the area.

The rooms are very clean and modern. Breakfast can be taken in the cafteria, or brought to your room. There is a small common kitchen on the 2nd floor, where you can eat, make your own coffee and relax. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. If the main hotel is full, you'll have to stay at another building, but it is extremely close. I would recommend this hotel, highly.

Very Comfortable

The hotel was located within a short walk of the downtown area. Room service was polite and prompt. Every attention was paid to our comfort. We especially enjoyed the kitchen on the top floor with the glass atrium on the rooftop.

The hotel is located just out of the Old Town. Room was adequate for a couple of nights and 10 minutes walk to the Old town. The only annoying thing is that you have to check-in at the Pensuine Ambient which is several streets behind the Residence. So we wasted about 20 minutes walking back and forth to get the key. This is not mentioned in the hotel description.

Great experience in Brasov

We stayed at Ambient residence - operated by Ambient Pension. The residence was basically a self-catering unit. Facility was clean, warm, and the set-up was cool. Somewhat away from the main town square, but only within 10 minutes walking distance. Pension staff (where we checked in and had breakfast), was great. Pleasant, informative. The only thing I would point out, is that during our stay, other guests in the Resident building were loud and since their was no staff in that building, noise is hard to control. The Pension would probably be a little quieter, if you are looking for that.

Die Reception ist nicht bei der Unterkunft. Das ist vor allem bei Expedia nicht klar, ohne daß man viel studieren muß, dargestellt.
Man geht zuerst an die falsche Adresse.

Mysig, murrig gammaldags inredning. Kök och matplatser på vinden/takterrass. Frukost och reception på det andra hotellet, ett par hundra meter bort. Prisvärt!

Estuvimos en una habitacion para cuatro personas. La habitación está compartimentada en dos estancias en una hay dos camas pequeñas individuales en otra una cama grande. En la zona de acceso a ambas estancias/habitaciones hay un sofá y un frigorífico perfecto para dejar bebidas, fruta, yogures, etc. Sólo tiene un único baño a destacar la ducha es grande y la limpieza del baño, por cierto a parte de las toallas, y champus, etc tiene también un pequeño secador de pelo. El hotel tiene acceso gratuito de Wifi. Al lado del hotel al salir por la puerta principal justo a la derecha hay una cafetería con personal muy amable cafés deliciosos y bollería, también con wifi. Desde ahí a la vuelta de la esquina y siempre en línea recta está el casco histórico a 10 minutos a pie. La ubicación es ideal. Es alojamiento es modesto el precio es muy economico y la ubicación perfecta.

Zimmer ist nicht unter den angegebenen Fotos zu finden. Somit wurde ich von Anfang an arglistig getäuscht.
Steckdosen hingen aus der Wand.
Knarzender Boden von Holzdielen.
alle angrenzenden Zimmer sowie Rezeption war zu hören, als ob der Durchgang im Zimmer wäre.
Bett war normales 140cm Bett, Kein King oder Queen Size wie angepriesen.
Matratze durchgelegen. Federn haben sich in den Rücken gebohrt.
Zimmer max. 10m², keine 18m² wie beschrieben.
Duschgel war in so Probetütchen vorhanden. Mir haben nicht mal 2 davon gereicht zum duschen.
Halter für Toilettenpapier war hinter dem Sitz.

Bei Nachfrage, wurde mir ein Zimmer gezeigt, welches auf den Fotos wiederzuerkennen war. Der Geruch war allerdings wie bei Oma zu Hause.

Ich war für eine Nacht da, wenigstens war es sauber.
Nicht zu empfehlen, zumindest nicht für den Preis.
Das Billigste Zimmer in Bangkok für €8 hatte mehr Komfort.

Au calme et bien situé

Hôtel situé à une dizaines de minutes du centre piétonnier , possibilite De stationner la voiture devant l hôtel . Nous avons bénéficié d une chambre très spacieuse avec Tres grand lit. Très calme . Excellent rapport qualité prix
LE prix du pdj est peut être un peu élevé pour le choix proposé.
