Absolutely stunning hotel suite!

When we arrived we were very tired from traveling. We opened the door to this amazing suite and felt so blessed! We each took turns soaking for an hour in the enormous in room bath. The food at the in house restaurant was superb! Augustine I believe is the name of our server both at dinner and breakfast and he was wonderful! Gave us great meal selections and was very kind and welcoming. Definitely as asset! We also had breakfast buffet the next morning before our days touring of castles and again it did not disappoint. Just a beautiful hotel, impeccably decorated and so comfortable. We would give 10 stars if we could.

Pro’s: Good location
Con’s: The bed was uncomfortable.
No enclosed shower, just an open tub, with dirty jets, taking a shower meant the water splashing everywhere.
WiFi reception was terrible.
Definitely not soundproof.
Breakfast just ok.

Our stay here was great. We were made to feel welcome and the staff were very helpful when we needed them. We had a deluxe double room which was very spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the old town one way and 15 minutes from a big shopping centre the other. The spa facilities were OK, the jacuzzi was a good size. We had breakfast and the choices were OK, enough for us. The bar had a reasonable selection of drinks but we didn't eat in the restaurant. On return to Brasov would definitely stay here again.

Great choice!

Great choice! The hotel is located in a quiet area, 15 min walk from the busy Center and the Black church. It’s new, very clean, with a very nice breakfast. The front desk manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the whole experience. I’ll recommend this place to all my friends.

Recommend this place without any reservations.

The hotel has a good location for walking around and grocery stores, shops and restaurants. I highly recommend using the restaurant in the hotel as the food is absolutely delicious and portions are large. Menu is varied and has something for everyone..The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The room we had, a family suite had parking included and it is onsite. The view was fantastic at night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Twice we arrived at the restaurant at the last minute and they served us anyway. Breakfast is great.
Easy walk to old town.
Note that some rooms are A/C and some are not and some rooms are on the 4th floor with only stairs. Not a big deal for me, but others may need to book carefully. I would stay there again.
On site parking was helpful.

Location of hotel was good as was the room. The breakfast was of a high standard. We found the reception staff somewhat offhanded that did not set the scene well. We were also very disappointed not to be able to use the spa area because we were staying the 3 star part of the property. Nowhere on the website does it indicate that the wellness centre is not available to the 3 star section - mis leading advertising.

Very Good breakfast, convenient location, and spacious rooms. The staff was very helpful, they resolved an issue with our reservation that was caused by Expedia. This hotel has two sections one with air-conditioning and elevator and another without. I was searching for hotels with both AC and elevator and this hotel came up so I booked two rooms but they turned out to be in the section without A/C or elevator. However, the staff helped us resolve the issue at a cost. Be careful when booking through Expedia, and try the A/C as soon as you check in to make sure it works, because it did not work in one of the rooms but we didn't find out until bedtime late at night.

The hotel is rather average. What the Hotels.com website does not show is that the hotel is divided in a 3-star part and a 4-star part. The 3-star part doesn’t have air conditioning. The breakfast is basic, but not bad. Rooms look rather cheaply furnished, and my bathroom did not have any amenities in it (shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc). Staff looked rather sullen, but that may be cultural.

We did not get the room that we booked. We asked for a double deluxe with balcony, we got a small dark room with a skylight. When we asked at the reception to change the room they claimed the hotel is fully booked. Well, we are clients too!!! Finally the staff at the reception who are courteous but not smily found us a 2 twin bed room with a big window.
The question is why us who booked a few weeks ago a double deluxe room with balcony, could not get what we paid for when we arrived before 5pm.

Our stay was not the best experience.

Overall we were not very happy with our stay given the price of the hotel vs other options. While the outside of the hotel is pretty modern and eye catching, on the inside the rooms are pretty dated. The wifi did not work on our floor at all, our showerhead was broken and the TV cut out every few minutes. The first night we arrived pretty late and very tired, and we were instructed to park in the garage only to be woken up 6 hours later at 9 AM to be told that we have to move it. The staff was not overly enthusiastic. The location of the hotel is a postive, only a few minutes away from old town and touristy area's. The hotel grounds and rooms were clean.

Highly recommended for everything, cant fault it. Florina, the lady at the hotel I was dealing with, was fantastic in helping us with all our arrangements. No doubt will be visiting here again.

This hotel is very close to old center city that makes it very attractive to tourists. The superior rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable but the appearance is not. We thought we stepped in a 1960 room. Breakfast is good, but some replenishings come late. Unfortunately the hotel concierge does not appear friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a positive experience but improvement is a must.

Hotel Ambient in Brasov

I came to Brasov to see the Middle Ages castles from Brasov and Bran. The Hotel Ambient is centrally located and very easy to find. The experience with the room, the food and the service was excellent. I will definitely return. I stayed in the two level suite and loved it..

The hotel is just on the edge of the old town with just a small walk to get to all areas of interest. We had the junior suite which was of good size and very comfortable, I would love to come again soon.

Beware do not taxis from the train station. They completely hose you with 4 times the price. Walk a block and flag one or get the hotel to book for you. Staff at the hotel are excellent. Hotel comfortable and in a great location!

Some easy improvements could be made.

The Hotel was nice. It could be great if the owner just just applied these points:
1) Room cleaning needs some improvement. Found rubbish in our room when we arrived.
2) The reception is front of shop and vital to the impression made by the hotel. However it seems that guests are a minor inconvenience to staff who are continuously checking their mobile phones. We booked a visit in advance, which was forgotten and had to ad-hoc on the day (no one took any notes upon booking). We asked for another pillow and towel, and had to remind staff twice before we got them 4 hours later. I booked some therapy, and was promised it within 1 hour, but when I turned up there was no one there. I waited a bit and went to reception to distract the staff away from their mobile phones and they then said it would take another hour.

Apart from that, food was decent and the staff (when you had their attention) were polite.

Modern luxurious accomodations near old town

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the old town and free parking. It is a modern, well maintained hotel with friendly staff and an outstanding free breakfast.
We booked a suite which turned out to be a duplex on the top two floors with two bathrooms, a large jacuzzi and a balcony. The cost was on the high side for Romania, but about what we pay for an average roadside motel in New York.

We had a very nice room. Actually, we had a large suite, with a nice sitting area. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was working very well. We had a nice and large bathroom. The room was very clean and comfy. The breakfast buffet had variety and food was delicious. We also had dinner one night at the hotel: the service was excellent; the server was friendly and professional; and the food was great! The hotel is not really far from the Old Town. We would not hesitate to stay again in the future.

Getting to the Hotel Ambient was initially confusing because there are three Ambient properties but it is the largest and well lit up. The staff were always helpful and the buffet breakfast was pretty good each morning. The hotel was a short (5 min) ride from the train station and the hotel has taxis whenever you need them. It is about 15 minute walk to the city center area but through well lit streets with sidewalks.

The room was fine except for 1) the sheets were changed but not every day, 2) the sheets were not good, made me sweat all the time. The breakfast was very good. The elevator was not working properly - could not call it to the 5th floor, had to go down one floor to get it.

NIce Hotel Close to Park Shopping & Restaurants

This hotel was recommended by a romanian woman who had previously stayed there. However, since I do not speak romanian i was pleasantly surprised at the staff's english. They lent me a charger for my phone, helped fix two toys for the children, provided the children with Pens, anything we needed we got and always with a smile. I felt very safe. The breakfast buffet was good as was the restaurant. For the money the room we had was great - an apartment (two floors, two tvs. two bathrooms a jacuzzi. a separate showever, a balcony and the
place was very clean.
