This property was perfectly located overlooking the most famous landmark in Brasov (the Black Church). The property owner/host was incredibly kind and helpful. The only downside was the lack of parking. The owner has one parking space located about 1.5 blocks away which you will need to rent at a cost of an additional 50 Euros not included in the cost of the rental unit. The only other parking option is a VERY expensive lot with limited parking hours. The property is beautiful; however, the lobby and former attached restaurant on the first flood entry are currently being renovated, so just ignore the mess and proceed upstairs. You will be glad you did. Brasov was the highlight of Romania for me and this property helped with my pleasant experience.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and much bigger than we were expecting. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and the softer bed in the lounge area was great as well. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was excellent.

The location is perfect, right in the centre of Brasov Old Town, making it easy to explore the area, and it was also very easy to reach from the airport.

Estzer, our host, was lovely, and every member of staff we met was super helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We would highly recommend staying here and would happily return in the future.

This property is one of the oldest in Brasov and the renovations preserve the history while making it modern enough the be comfortable. The host is super responsive and helpful. I appreciated the parking recommendations and the breakfast. Also loved the balcony and the views of the Black Church. Perfect centrally located stay in Brasov.

What can I say, the location is perfect, the room was large and accommodated the three of us perfectly. Eszter, our host was phenomenal! My suggestion is if you have a car definitely get the parking offered by the property, it isn’t attached but close enough and hassle free. Each window has a view including from the Lou, who can say they have a view of a medieval church while taking care of business…if we are ever lucky enough to return to Braşov, we will definitely stay here.

We walked everywhere nearby.
The property is very unique and it looked like a former attic in one of the old buildings. Beautifully converted.

Fabulous stay. The view from our room was amazing. Those windows are beautiful. The bed so large and comfortable. Bathroom and shower also amazing . The room has been done to a very high spec modern but with also within keeping of the history of the building . So clean with premium toiletries which smell Devine. Nice touch with the sweets and fruit Breakfast was light just enough for us .
Location is perfect right by everthing you need. We will be visiting Braşov again next year with more family and we will defiantly be staying here again and booking out more rooms without a doubt. We Wouldn’t want to stay any where else

Rossmarkt Haus was outstanding. Our apartment was large and comfortable. We looked out right on to one side of the Black Church and the Main Street, although there was minimal traffic sound. Breakfast was conveniently located in the Figaro restaurant just below our apartment. Eszter communicated with us several times before we arrived. She met us and carried our luggage upstairs - very helpful. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

This was a perfect place to stay in Central Brasov. Its extremely close to all the main restaurants and attractions in the old town. The room was comfortable and warm. Breakfast was a good choice and Eszter was really helpful in letting us leave our bags until our late flight. Would happily stay here again.

What a marvellous place! Our room was ***FANTASTIC*** with its very own private balcony overlooking the iconic Black Church in the heart of Brasov’s incredible Old Town. Eszter made sure to look after all our needs and answered even late night questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

You NEED to stay here!!

Genuinely this has to sit in my top 3 hotel stays of all time! I've travelled the globe and I cannot recommend this enough. Eszter was the perfect host, she made sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. The room was incredible, very close to everything AND Eszter also gave us some recommendations for food/drinks and tours. The two choices for breakfast were spot on too. Lovely hotel in Brasov old town

Rossmarkt haus is a lovely hotel situated in the centre of Brasov old town next to the old town square and Black church. Check in was efficient we we arrived. Breakfast there is a choice of two places the hotel over the road for a buffet or the restuarant below the hotel for a range of options. Ezster the host was friendly and always contactable to awnser any questions. The room itself accommodated our ten year old daughter and my wife and i. Comfortable beds and the room we had, number two also had a private balcony. I highly recommend hotel rossmarkt haus for a stay in Brssov.

I actually arrived a day before I had booked my reservation and Eszter was kind and helpful and got me in a day early! There was a private balcony that overlooks the Black Cathedral that I had all to myself and enjoyed a cup of hot tea complimentary included with the room. Very good location and multiple breakfast options from two easy to get to locations. I ate at the restaurant directly below my room which has vegetarian options too. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to a solo traveler or anyone looking for an authentic hotel in a perfect location, safe, friendly and clean.

I certainly enjoyed my stay at Rossmarkt Haus. It is located right in the central area right next to the Black Church and the Christmas market. I was able to walk to most of attraction sites. I also had an option to choose between a hotel buffet and a la carte breakfast. The room was so cozy and warm, and the bed was comfortable to ensure a good night’s rest. I appreciate their warm hospitality.

Really sweet digs, just off the village square

Adding a couple days on the front of a Viking cruise, we spent a couple of days in Brasov. We prefer to stay close to downtown. I found Rossmarkt Haus on a popular hotel website. As is typically the case, finding a place to park can be quite difficult, so splurge for the optional private parking which is ~100 meters from the building, which also houses a restaurant. There are no elevators so you’ll be carrying your bags up one or two flights of stairs. We stayed in room #1, which had a big living room, separate bedroom, and a large bathroom. Wooden floors and windows overlooking the street, the living space was very comfortable. A mini-split unit covered the HVAC needs nicely. Breakfast is included, and is a choice between a hotel buffet across the street, or a la carte from the restaurant downstairs. We preferred the buffet. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay, and one that we’d recommend if you’re going to be in Brasov. See my other reviews (Ograda and Cucinino) for places to dine. Recommended

The location could NOT be better! The bathroom window in my room looked directly at the Black Church! Everything you want to see is easily-walkable. The room was perfect. Staff was lovely, too. I would recommend the breakfast from the restaurant downstairs - Figaro - over the buffet option across the street.

Fantastic location, we could see the Black Church from our bathroom window! Really quirky and cosy attic room with exposed beams. Great bathroom, and really nice touches like candy in the room. The host couldn't have been more helpful, in regular touch to ensure we could check in early, and with advice re breakfast etc. Highly recommend! Such good value.

Great location for seeing old Braşov. We had a nice big room. Communication with the hotel was great. The beds were comfortable. The biggest problem was parking. We were here Friday and Saturday night in the fall when colors were at their peak and students had the next week off. It took us over 30 minutes each night driving around to find parking. One time we had to park 15 min walk away, so that is a big downside. Wasting time trying to find parking instead of enjoying the sights is disappointing. But the Rossmarkt was lovely. Breakfast at Bella Muzica (included) was a nice buffet with plenty of food. I gave it a four star instead of a five due to the issue of parking not the hotel‘s fault but you have to know that if you’re staying here.

Hotels have staff. This had a keypad and no one was there to greet us when we arrived. Room was nice but foam matress was awful. Its a shame that breakfast was factory food in a region rich with artisinal producers.

I had a wonderful stay at ROSSMARKT HAUS. The room was beautiful and immaculate and the bed was comfortable. The owner was so nice and so helpful! She answered all my questions and even though I asked a lot of things, she was always friendly. She even called nail salons to try to help me get a nail appointment. The location can’t be beat, right next to the Black Church.

The room was great with two single beds and a en-suite bathroom - really good shower.

This is not your average Hilton! It is a very old building that has a few rooms and has massese of character.

Eszter was really helpful and texted us details on parking.

Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

The properly is an historical building that was remodeled. We love the place, a lot of windows meaning plenty of light. The location is great, next to the Black church; closed to restaurants and walkable to the main attractions.Everything worked as expected and it was comfy. For information, it has no lift neither air conditioning, at least in our huge room but we didn’t needed because the temperature was excellent. The host Eszter was amazingly available and willing to fulfill our requests. The communication with her was easy and the replies fast. The booking includes the breakfast buffet which was very convenient and good. In general, our stay was perfect.

It is only 2 blocks from the bus station so it is very easy to get there by public transportation. Braşov is a must to visit and ROSSMARKT hotel is right on the main square, which is the main city attraction.
The hotel is so pretty, very roomy and the staff was incredibly helpful with bookings, tours, suggestions. Absolute wonderful experience.
