I liked the location very close to the old town centre. I liked the service provided by the staff. We left the luggage at the hotel for about three hours after checking out, and the staff was very helpful with that. The property is in very good condition.
One improvement area would be better lighting in the bathroom, specifically above the mirror. Shaving with little light is not one of my favourites.

Spacious accommodation excellent location

Building unimpressive from outside but room super spacious as was the shower. Bed comfy and great armchair. Modern colourful decor. Easy walk to Main Sq and Black Church. Fab eat Street and location convenient for day trip to Bran Castle & Peles Palace which should not be missed. Stunning

Nice hotel room. AC was advertised on the website, it was broken when we stayed there. Brought it up with Expedia and the hotel, hotel staff actually lied to Expedia on the phone saying they disclosed it at check in, extremely poor customer service and would not give a discount. Would not stay here again for that reason (room was 85 degrees F until about 2 AM making it hard to sleep), poor customer service, only bad experience we had in two weeks in Romania. Don’t expect the staff to be helpful if an issue arises.

Solid 4* experience

Overall - a very good experience, a solid 4 stars. I wish to be able to say it was an excellent experience. The only issue was with the AC turning off on its own ( or being turned off centrally by the reception desk) - leaving the room consistently at 24degC vs. my desire for 21degC.

A good hotel

From the outside the hotel does not look so good but the room was immaculate and well equipped with the added bonus of free parking on site. Staff were very helpful and informative. The location is just on the edge of the old town which can be reached within 5 mins walk.A great base from which to explore places like Bran castle and Siniaia. Breakfast was very basic although adequate.

A 3star hotel with a 5 star service.

Lovely hotel within walking distance to the center. Cleanliness was impeccable with tasty breakfast.
My wife had a small accident and hurt her leg. The reception staff where helpful in giving us an ice pack and keeping it for us in their freezer.
All staff where helpful and great especially Miruna and Tiberiu who for sure is an asset to the hotel.

Modern Handy & clean

Parking was good, room was modern and comfortable although we were moved due to a water issue. Staff were very accommodating. So handy to the old Square area and gardens.
If driving you will find the hotel car park entrance a bit hard to find and the parking area itself quite narrow. That said it posed no problems.

Breakfast was included and quite satisfactory. A great place to stay.

The staff is exploited

This is the first 1/5 hotel review I've left on this website, and I would have left this hotel a 5/5 rating until I found out from speaking with the staff how poorly they are treated by the owners.

Everything about the hotel is great: the room, the location, the breakfast etc. But when I had a chat with one of the staff one morning, to my horror and disgust I found out that they are completely exploited, for pennies on the dollar, by the management.

I am never coming back here again, nor will I have my money spent on a hotel that abuses their hard working staff, most of whom are barely adults.

Its obvious now when I look back why the hotel was run so well: they are running a sweat shop to keep their standards high. But look closely into the eyes of their staff, and you will see fatigue and misery :(

I hope hotels.com is looking at the morale of the hotel staff as well when they recommend hotels.

Great , Great and Great Hotel !


I had a wonderful 7 night stay at this great hotel . Location is perfect !!! My standard double room was very clean , large and comfortable . The room has lots of great lighting , plenty of wardrobe space and a large bathroom that has a large shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water , along with enough counter space for your belongings . Lots of English channels to watch and a view of the famous BRASOV sign a top of the mountain . Breakfast room was large and served a great variety of hot and cold food . I also have to say that everyone of the staff was top notch and they went out of their way to make my stay there perfect . I would like to also thank the young man that cared for the Breakfast area , he was very kind and helpful . I definitely RECOMMEND this hotel .

Nice location

The room is clean and spacious with simple design. Staffs are nice and speak good English. The front desk staff (sorry that I forgot her name) was so nice to go all the way to walk us out to the street just to show us where we can find a nice place to eat while it was snowing outside!

Location is great. Just a 10 min to the main square, Black Church and 2 min walk from the park. Breakfast is good too. Free wi-fi is a charm although it gets pretty slow at times. Will stay here again next time.

Just be careful when you take the taxi from train station. There are lots of taxi drivers trying to scam you! I read somewhere that the taxi fare to the hotel should be around lei 12 (I can't exactly remember but probably Armatti Hotel can comfirm?), which is a 10 min ride, but the first taxi driver tried to charge us lei 100/€20!

New and good hotel

Is a good hotel. The breakfast was acceptable, excluding the cofee. Into the room was not so good the warm system. In the winter it was not possible to have more than 21°C. It is a good and a new hotel with many facilities. It can be a hotel for 4*.

Great hotel, great location - near the old city

The hotel was great and the staff were very nice and accommodating. One thing in general to look out for with hotels in Europe is that A/C is not standard - so if you are visiting during a time where there is hot weather you may find the hotels (in general) to be hot - primarily a concern when sleeping (as it may be too hot to get a adequate night's sleep).

Armatti was fantastic! We only had the opportunity to stay for one night, but will definitely stay there again. Andy at the front desk was a wonderful help and made sure we were comfortable in our stay. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was quite large with a full size shower. The complimentary breakfast surpassed all expectations. There was a buffet that included traditional dishes as well as common breakfast items. We were allowed to keep our car parked there and borrow an umbrella since we were doing a bit of site seeing before leaving the city. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

Nice Mpodern Hotel near the City Center

The hotel is very new and modern with nice facilities. It is very close to the city center(a few minutes walk) and many of the rooms have views of Tampa Mountain that looms over the city. There is a good free breakfast and the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. There is free wi-fi but it is not the best for streaming movies of TV.

The Armatti is clean and modern in the old part of town. Easy walk to the Center and all tourist attractions.
The hotel is clean, the staff is personable and speak English. The breakfast is wonderful. I haven't found a better option near this part of town. I will continue to return to Armatti.
