Our AC unit didn't work. Called the front desk with no answer multiple times. We went up to the front desk. They said they would send maintenance to fix it. We don't know if they did or not. And never did work. The property is dirty and rundown. Over half of the elevators were not working.

The elevators were slow and some broken. They wouldn’t let you bring a cooler to the pool but the drink stand( Tipsy Turtle) kept closing. It made no sense. Also you had to wait until 9am to sit at the pool. Fire alarm went off and it smelled like smoke but after we evacuated no one communicated what happened. The pools were fun but there was not enough pool chairs and the first day we had to put our towels on the ground. The coffee bar was very disorganized. The first two days the person didn’t know how to make frappes which were advertised that they had. They also didn’t have chocolate syrup which is strange for a supposed to be Starbucks in the building. We still had fun but it was a little bit dirty in some spots and disorganized. Very confusing layout. The women at the front desk all frowned and had an attitude of they were dreading being there. The pros were the breakfast spot was tasty. The pools and lazy rivers were fun. The room itself was clean. The view was nice. I like the hula show it was entertaining.

The pools were good. The room had some issues like all kitchen lights didn’t work, one stove top burner didn’t work, no toilet/dish soap available after check in, main indoor pool lights didn’t work and the restaurant staff worked super slow and were constantly on their phones. At the end of all this, the manager responds was…..

“your room hasn’t got it’s upgrades and that’s why your having issues; please have patience and work with us”

I would love a free two night voucher at another hotel so that my family and I can enjoy the Myrtle Beach. I’m a 20 Army Veteran and I’ve had better experiences/night in Iraq…!

The property was very dirty! The room was dirty. There was hair and other mess STUCK on the wall near the trash can in the room. There were children eating chips and other food IN THE LAZY RIVER DROPPING IT IN THE WATER!!!worst of all…..THE FREAKING BEACH WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND INACCESSIBLE!!!! So not what we were expecting!!!! Would have definitely booked elsewhere had we known about the beach construction beforehand. Absolutely without a doubt a very regrettable decision to stay here!! Giving it an “F”

If you are looking for a hotel with lots of pools and close to the ocean then you got it in this hotel! However I wouldn't recommend staying here. The staff was kinda rude to us, they dont tell you that you have to pay for parking which is in a parking garage. Away from the building. The staff never told us where we are going for our room, we were on the 10th floor and theres many elevators to get lost in. Considering theres like 2 hotels put together. There isnt any housekeeping until the end of your stay, we asked after 1 night being there they said no, but gave us a broom to clean for our selfs. It was nice having ocean front, and all the pools for our small kids, but almost all of the hot tubs had people being adult things in them.. each time we were trying to go in one, we did report that but nothing happen, therefore we just left to go to a different pool, the water park is kinda lame considering its just 3 slides, and a lot of stairs to walk up on. And the water park was a walk to get too. The rooms do not look like the rooms on photos. It was differently the run down side of Myrtle beach. All and all dont think we will stay here, but we made the most of it.

The location is great and very close to the beach, which was definitely a plus. Unfortunately, our experience had more negatives than positives.

The room floors were extremely dirty. Within minutes of getting out of the shower, our feet were black from walking on the floor. The beds were also very uncomfortable, making it difficult for our family to get a good night’s sleep.

The pools offered several options and were enjoyable, but they didn’t seem very clean. There was debris floating in the hot tubs during our stay.

The water park slides looked like a lot of fun, but all four of my children ended up getting hurt. Three scraped their backs on the slides, and one hit the back of his head hard enough to leave a bump.

While the proximity to the beach was a major advantage, the cleanliness, comfort, and safety concerns made this stay disappointing overall.

Check in was ok. Room (location) smelled right outside our door. Figured out we were right by the trash dump area. Actual room was not bad. There is no house cleaning which was rough bc we stayed a whole week. You have to go down to front desk to grab towels, etc. The water park is on the opposite side of the hotel from the beach. Location is solid along with the pool/waterpark/beach options for kids. Really decent for the price and for families with young kids. Hotel is pretty run down and rooms need some work.

For starters why am I paying to park in a parking garage that is across the street (connected by the walkway that was without air conditioning) owned by the resort 12$ a day! Also to mention the “waterpark” beside said parking garage consists of 3 simple slides and a few broken kid play things. Nothing special about it, definitely should not be listed as a water park. The employees at both the “waterpark” and resort are rude and clueless - this includes the restaurants, coffee location, and front desk staff. On our first day we decided to check out the in resort dining location, our server was very unprofessional and quite honestly seemed like even he thought the place was a joke - we did not attend a second time. Thought later in the week we would try out shark bites, just overpriced snacks that tasted of the dirtiest fry oil. On a positive side though right by the shark bites the bar and polite bartender were a positive, however this was also only available later in the week. The music though, is a nice touch, just feel for the people with lower rooms. The room was next to a fire door that slammed loudly all hours of the day. The coffee shop was more of a nothing shop, out of everything I’d try to order for my entire stay - including milk. The pools were not heated, this includes indoor whirlpool tubs. The outdoor tub was very warm though, but good luck relaxing in that as children overtake and are constantly jumping in and out - no age limit. My worst visit ever to Myrtle!

One of the worst stays i have ever had anywhere. The receptionist was rude and had no idea what she was doing. She tried to tell me that I had a balance due at checkin after I paid in full at booking. She even had the confirmation printed off showing paid in full. She then said she was just going to charge my card on file. The reservation was for 2 rooms and she tried to just give me one room. Once we got to our room, it was a pig pen. Looks absolutely nothing like the online pictures. My room was dark, gloomy with nasty sticky carpet that looks like it was out of an 80s horror film. There were holes in the carpet, roaches on the bed, the deadbolt on the doors did not work. The bed was harder than concrete. We asked to swap rooms and was told no. I asked to cancel one room and get a refund and was told no. That we could ask the next day, but dont expect it to be approved. I never once saw a cleaner anywhere. The whole place had a nasty smell. The elevators were filthy, trash overflowing in the hallways. No towels anywhere to be found in the pool area. The lady at the pool that was braiding hair tried to scam my friend and double charge her. I seriously can not say how bad this experience was. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away.

People a few doors down were extremely noisy at night sometimes at 2 or 3:00 AM.
They were slamming the door and yelling and carrying on.
Called the front desk and they came and told them to be respectful and to keep it down. As soon as the staff left, they started all over again.
When we asked for towels we were told that they would bring them to the room but never did.
The water in the pool was so cloudy we couldn’t go in it!

If you book through a third party be sure your dates are not going to change. I tried to change via Expedia and the resort itself, and it was going to cost me over $300 so triple check you can make the dates before booking. Also, if you prepay for a night, bring that specific credit card with you as they ask for it during check in. Bring your patience. Check is long and complicated. I would also bring a pool towel. I saw some people find where they were kept, but not until the last day of my trip.

The food at the resort was good and reasonable priced. This was a nice surprise. Other reviewers mentioned the smell of pot. I did get that around the entrance and the pool but not near my room and it wasn't as bad as I was fearing.

This is an old building, so you are not going to get a super large space or a super modern space. Some of the electrical plugs would not hold the cord in, it would just fall out. There were spots on the ceiling and just the normal wear and tear you see at an older place. It was clean so it wasn't an issue for me. You do not get housekeeping for a weekend stay. They will bring up more towels but if you are expecting daily trash removal and a made bed, this is not the place for you.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and it doesn't get old sitting in a hot tub looking at the ocean. This is not a five-star resort and you are not paying five-star pricing. It very much is what you expect for the price point. All in all, a nice place.

We were able to check in early after a long drive which was great. The view was nice off of the balcony and there was always hot water. Access to the pool/Beach was easy and great. As far as the room goes the floors were dirty we could not walk barefooted, the smell was like an ashtray inside of the room even though it says no smoking. The bed had indents on both sides so it wasn’t an even sleep. The parking was an additional fee. It was our first time at Myrtle beach, we had a great experience but we will try a different hotel.

Staff were full of attitudes. I was not provided any hospitality or housekeeping services . I called for blanket and was told I could pick them up at the front desk. Typically when I go to hotels, it would be delivered. I had to ask about the trash being removed from the rooms and fresh towels. I was told to put them outside my room and they would be picked up. Hours went by before the towel was picked up and trash removed from in our door. I hated the carpet in the rooms. If you don’t care about hospitality then it’s okay I GUESS. The access to the beach and pool was the only nice thing there. I came for the water park and wasn’t told that they were only some days. Just lack of communication. If you see FREE SHUTTLE . That’s a LIE! I called prior to set it up and got attitude and was left on hold for over 10 minutes until I hung up. None of the restaurants were available. I saw one open the night before I left.

I’ve used this motel for years but I haven’t been in the last 3 years the checkin was fine but the room was terrible the stove didn’t work it took a whole day to get it fixed there was no room to put anything as far as food goes in the kitchen called for towels and tissue had to go get it ourselves the shower had a new small shower head that was originally one you could take down and shower with it was fixed to the wall and you had to stand right under it against the wall to shower needless to say after all these years that will be my last vacation there and my granddaughter and nephew got separated from us while using the outside shower and went to a security guard crying and he told them he just came on duty and he couldn’t help them mind you my granddaughter is 8 and my nephew has the mind of a six or seven year old

Really nice staff. Great resort over all but something that really ruined the overall comfort for us was the broken chairs that were not usable, the very dirty sheets on the Murphy bed and an unknown dark drip of something in the bathroom right under the toilet paper roll. This really affected my ability to fully enjoy our stay. We paied top dollar for this oceanfront room and I expect the room to be professionally cleaned after each stay. It was very obvious that did not happen before we arrived but if we wanted to do it ourselves they left the cleaning solution in the window just incase I wanted to clean up what they did not on my mini vacation because house keeping never came to clean during our stay even though we were gone all day and did not have a sign indicating we did not want house keeping to enter. This is not something we can do any time we like. It was so expensive and expecting professional house keeping isn’t too much to ask.

There was pink mold on the shower head (causes skin rashes), pillows were stained had black streaks on the cases, black public hairs in the bathroom linens, stains on the bed sheets, pullout sofa bed mattress was very thin. The springs were also poking through. Murphy bed was dirty behind the wall. King bed mattress was old and hard. Could feel the springs in it. This hotel used to be top notch. It has gone down hill. Very outdated, rust on everything. Walls were stained badly. We won't be staying here again sadly 😞

We stayed on the 11th floor, ocean view. The hotel is an older hotel with amazing amenities. The room we stayed in was spacious and nice. I was afraid to look at the stove or breathe near it that it would fall apart. But I didn’t come to the beach to cook. But I was also surprised that it had a full kitchen. lol.
Staff are friendly and helpful. My main problem was figuring out how to get from the south side/tower to the north. Maybe some maps on the elevator walls or paper maps would help that.
The heated pools, lazy river, hot tubs make this a good winter/early spring hotel.
We definitely will return next year
Not sure what elevators other reviewers were talking about cause the south tower and garage elevators were very fast.
Just remember the walk over bridge is 3rd floor of the garage and 4th floor in the hotel (had to tell ppl this many times lol)
All in all this is an older but nice hotel with lots of water amenities (even a small waterpark across the street, seasonal), has restaurants and a poolside bar(we never used so can’t comment on) and lovely staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beach views were amazing! That was the only pro of this stay. Staff was awful and rude, the blankets on the bed were basically sheets asked for more house keeping was supposed to get us more and no one ever came we had to go down get the blankets amd extra towels. Mirrors in the room were dirty sinks were dirty. We had no tissues and no one bothered to put a roll of tp on the tp holder. Also lets talk about the 250$ hold they put on your card or you can pay them 40$ to not put a hold on the card and of course they dont refund that 40$. Honestly if i would have known this was going to be my experience i would have never booked this hotel and i would recommend no one else book it either.

Good resort overall. The indoor pool area was great for all ages. The rooms were decent and clean. Things just need updating. Replace the curtains and deep clean the pool area. You can see the rust on the pool covering while in the lazy river and over the vents in the pool and hot tub. You know it's clean and can smell the chlorine but you can see the wear and tear. I would also recommend having the waterpark open past 3pm so we can really enjoy it.

When we checked in, I was told if there was any issues to come downstairs and speak to the front desk. The hot water did not work in our room and there were roach shells and legs in the linen. We went downstairs to ask them to have maintenance fix the water issue and clean the room and were told because it is a privately owned room that they cannot do anything about it. We are also told that we could not be refunded when we checked out after only staying one night of our three nights stay. I would not stay here or recommend staying on that property to anybody.

I had to ask twice then was sent a maintenance man for the tub after 9:30pm and was trying to sleep. Room was noisy by the elevator. Not very nice when I asked for a 1:30 check out due to our flights.

Beds weren't comfortable, toilets were soooo low to the ground, everything was pretty outdated. We didn't know the water park wasn't open :( I don't think we would stay there again.

The rooms, elevators and in door hot tubs were beat up and not clean. Pictures online look so much nicer. The beach chairs were falling apart.

This resort was a good resort for my family. However, I wished I would’ve known ahead of time that the amenities were not available until really the day we left. The only thing that open up was Latitudes. We were here from Sunday-Tuesday and nothing was open until we got up to check out at something til 9. But overall the rooms need to be updated or paint the cabinets, but they were still nice to stay in. Other than that the staff were nice. My son stayed in the pool for 2 days so it’s a plus he had a great time.

Gym did not have any weights, only cardio machines. Staff were nice. Pool was warm. Place needs to be updated still good for price.
