This was by far the worst place ive ever stayed in myrtle beach bathroom had mold and when using the shower it would make the carpet wet going out of the bathroom the tv wasnt connected to cable took close to a hour of trying to figure out how to get in connected no housekeeping the lazy river was down for refurbishment i understand that has to be done but what was open the pool that was post to be heated wasnt the hot tub was very cold the roof on the indoor pool leaked and had panels missing making it very cold the only hot tub was outside and im not going outside in January and be ready for a 250 dollar hold on your card you get back or a 40 dollar damage deposit you dont get back it was a royal dump dont let the pictures fool you way over priced for what it is

Our room was very nice and clean, and the check-in process was quick and easy. However, I was a bit taken aback by the amount of the security deposit. Since it was the off-season, the room rate was actually cheaper than the deposit itself, which felt excessive.

The indoor pool area had the potential to be amazing. I believe there were five indoor hot tubs, but unfortunately, the first four were visibly dirty, so we didn’t even attempt to check the fifth. We were also very disappointed to find that the lazy river was closed, especially since this information was not shared with us at check-in. That amenity was the one my son was most excited about and ultimately played a major role in our decision to stay here.

While our family plans to visit the area again once the weather warms up, we will not be staying at The Landmark in the future.

Had requested to be on the highest floor possible to watch the sunsets. I was placed on the sixth floor. My room was directly lined up in the breezeway with the conference center at night with the wind blowing my door sounded like it had hurricane wind and was howling so loud that it kept me up, regardless if I was sleeping in the living room, the heat in the bedroom barely worked. I had to crank the heat up in the living room, just to warm up the whole entire room.,
Stafford super friendly I did call and ask for a late check out the day of checkout and was told no.

First of all, the room was very nice. We’ve been staying at the Landmark for years with no problems. This time though sealed the deal for us. They were experiencing a burst sewage pipe in the pool area which they had root rooter onsite working on. Did they close the pools while there was a river of feces flowing through seeping in to the lazy river? No. I watches kids running through the river to jump into the main pool and nobody cared. People we still swimming in the hot tubs and main pool with the boo-boo water and nobody was making effort to close the area. Just people swimming in sewage. We tried to go out onto the beach but you could smell that evil all the way to the waterline. It was time to go.
Something else to consider. The onsite restaurant had open mayo jars on every table. I asked how long they’d been there and apparently they leave them out all day. Mayo has a max of 2 hours to be out of a fridge, look it up. When I mentioned it and even showed the USDA recommendation to the employee, they said they would mention it to their boss later that evening. I wonder how much of the sewage in the pool was caused by the old mayo left out?

The view was amazing from our room & you could be at the ocean in seconds the room itself was beautiful and quit homie feeling had a kitchen with every pan and utensil you need to make dinner if you wanted! This is a nice place to stay. The water park is across the street. The water park is just a few water slides. The pools are in the hotel. There is a parking garage across the street, featuring a covered crosswalk bridge that makes it easier to access your vehicle. It is a little confusing maneuvering around the hotel; it would be nice to have more signage, especially in the elevators. The hotel is dated, but so are most of the hotels in the area. The beds we slept in are harder than what I am used to sleeping on. The room was clean and had ceramic coffee cups, plates, bowls, utensils, and dish soap provided.

What i didnt like was the bed bugs in the room i wokeup to itching skin and burning stomach and arms and blisters from bites from a bed bug on my pillow that i recorded on my phone and pictures we tryed escalating the situation with the so called mangers but they refused to reimburse us so now were gunna have to take further action was treated poorely and the manager hungup on the phone when we was telling her the issue!! they will not get my service ever again!!! Will take further action against this!!! Just made our stay horrible!!! No reasurring !! Just sad how they will try to give that room to the next person to get bite by bed begs there in the pillows i have video location and time of the recording in my phone is all the evidence all i want is refund and for them to give us the run around is unprofessional.

This is the third year that I’ve stayed at landmark and I had the nicest room this time I’ve ever had. I hope to get it when I come next year. It had cooking utensils and pans and dish soap had everything that you needed. The only complaint that I have is that the coffee maker had an old package of coffee in it that was molding but they brought us a coffee pot and new coffee maker right away we didn’t have any hot water for a while, but they had some water issues and they explained all that to us. We did have hot water before we left and we had it intermittent intermittently when we were there. Everything was wonderful as always.

The room was dirty, had to by a swiffer mop to clean the room after arrival due to sandy and black floors with constant water seeping through the floor. The odor coming from behind the trundle bed smelt like pure BO. One elevator did not work properly, for a non smoking facility, couldn’t hardly sit on the balcony for the smell of marajuana. No room service cleaning, have to take your own trash out, and pay for daily parking on top of the resort cost. Check in/out staff was very rude, and non-communicative. Have stayed at the landmark several times in the past, but this will definitely be the last.

We just got back from a short three night trip. We had a standard room which was perfect for our short stay. Overall our stay was great. We loved the amenities such as the indoor and outdoor pools and lazy rivers. The resort is also right on the beach which was great. They had a DJ playing music outside which we enjoyed. Location wise we loved being a four minute drive from the airport. We did not feel the need to rent a car. We do wish we stayed closer to the sky wheel and boardwalk but we used Ubers and it was not an huge inconvenience. Prices were fairly cheap and Ubers were readily available. The resort itself seems a little outdated. There was only one elevator that seemed to work so getting to and from the room would take over ten mins at times. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably stay somewhere else next time.

I went to this hotel for the weekend. I am from New York. The first room they gave me. Had towels all over the floor and pizza boxes in the sink. The next room was ok but the kitchen light kept cutting off. The lazy river didint work. The hot tubs water was brown. There is no room service and we didn’t have any wash rags and face towels. A big Motel, not “resort” quality

I would not choose to stay here again. The property feels dated and in need of significant renovations, more like a budget motel than a quality hotel. In my opinion, it’s closer to a 2–3 star experience at best.

Cons:
A huge hole in bathroom door
Visible rust on shower bars and door hinges
Pools were not well-maintained and appeared dirty
No room service available after 5 p.m.
The property looks very different from the promotional photos
Overall décor and facilities are outdated

Large televisions in the rooms
Beds were comfortable

While the few positives were appreciated, they weren’t enough to offset the outdated facilities and lack of upkeep.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

I have stayed here a few times. The past times were not bad except the bedding one time. This time... the room was FILTHY! I asked for blankets the first night and they told me they didnt have any. There were NONE on the bed nor the pull down bed for my children. I had to go out late at night and buy some after I was told they would bring some up to us. It was just ME AND MY TWO SMALL CHILDREN on a vacation and it was terrible! There was a staple on the floor that I found out by stepping on it. Told the staff the next morning but they asked why I didn't call the night before. I have two small children with me and couldn't even get a blanket for us! I booked two nights and my sister was gonna book the other two nights but after my own stay I told her I could not stay there another night. So disappointed. Took until 2:45 AM the NEXT morning to find a night to stay somewhere else because my children didnt want to end their one vacation for the year. For the price... its totally unacceptable. I could have stayed at the little run down hotel down the road for half the price and did have to and my children had an awesome time there. I also was told I was gonna be refunded and have NOT! There was also bugs in the room and the room we booked had a small kitchen which was very disgusting. I had to use all the towels to clean the floor after pulling out the distrainer to wash any dishes we were using. The staff was also disgusted when I checked out and showed them these photos.

I recently stayed here and I wouldn’t stay again. But you get what you pay for. My usual hotels were 800+ for two nights and this one was around 550. You have to pay $12 a day to park here. There are so many different elevators/walkways it’s very confusing. The waterpark closed at 5 when check in is at 4. None of the lazy rivers or kiddie pools were open. The bathroom in the room had dirty floor mats, the tub was dirty, the cabinet handles were broken. The only thing I liked is the rooms setup and decor. I liked that the den had a door you can close, since someone can sleep in there and have some privacy. I will just stick to the oceanfront hotels I know and I’ll pay the $5. (IYKYK)

I would not give the resort a 5. There was an issue when we arrived that was pretty significant. The staff very quickly fixed the problem with the room, and we were happy. The hotel is older and has some issues for sure. The room was nice and very spacious. The parking deck is older and smaller but I did not have any trouble getting my big suv in and parked daily. I think the hot tubs need some cleaning and chemicals but the pools and lazy river were nice. It was a little annoying walking out to enjoy the ocean view and being consumed by the smell of weed day and night. The beach accesses were nice and plenty of chairs to rent if you don't have your own chair. Overall the place was nice and we really enjoyed our visit. The staff seemed very nice and we didn't have any problems at all. The floor on the bottom level is slippery tiles all the way around so if you get out of the pool and are coming in from the beach, and are wet, you have to walk like you are on ice. It is very dangerous and hard to move around. There are fans placed on the floors to help dry it, but difficult with wet feet or smooth bottom flip flops where the floors are wet. However, the place is nice and I would stay there again

The absolute worst experience I’ve had with planning a stay with Expedia. Nothing about this property gives “RESORT” its quite the opposite. From waiting over an hour in line to check in, to finally getting keys and anticipating being able to relax and enjoy my stay just to get to the 11th floor to find out that the keys were not programmed correctly, my family and I have to tote all of our luggage back down stairs to get the keys reprogrammed, went back to the room to check but the same thing happened. I was furious at this point. After the 3rd time going back to the 11th floor a lady that had been asleep came to the door of the room we were trying to gain access to! After being reassigned to another unit we were all exhausted and to find the room was not to my standards at all! There was a pile of dirty towels on the outside of the door, the Murphy bed was broken, there was no towels/washcloths and the couch looked like it needed to be thrown away it was so dingy and dirty. After complaining to management we were told the hotel was at capacity, and it was to late for me to find additional accommodations, they offered to move us to another room the following morning and suggested we cover the couch with a sheet. I cannot forget to add the trash that was outside the rooms going down every hallway, it was an absolute disaster! Please save your money, the pictures are produced by AI b/c the place is old, dirty and not as appealing in person at all! I can go on but I’m at my max

The front desk staff was rude, the restaurant inside was out of most items on the menu, the designated smoking areas had no shaded areas leaving guests outside in the baking sun (the area weather was under a heat dome with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees). Will not go back to this hotel.

Over priced; very outdated; check in too late 4pm & very slow; water park closes too early 5:30pm ; extra fees; parking is too far; elevator slow and scary; onsite store not stocked; neighbor Walmart was near by; staff was friendly; lots of pools and hots tubs. My grandkids loved it! I felt like it was definitely over due for a renovation!

The trip was fine but the hotel was not. Half time there one elevator worked. The indoor pools are dirty and not well kept. Sand in the bottom of everyone and just stuff floating in it. Not sanitary. The rooms are dated but ok. The restaurants varies on what they actually could provide or if even open. Not worth the stay with no perks.

This place was hot and very run down chipped paint and mold in the shower. Seems of rooms walls falling down. Will not go back and regret I spent this much for this.
