The room overlooked the filthy and noisy carpark of the shops at the side. The pool had broken tiles which were sharp.
The room was dated with very little crockery and cutlery. 3 glasses for a room for 4 people. This room was extremely overpriced for what it was.

We have visited Mooloolaba many times but this was the first time staying at Aegean Apartments. Communication was fantastic and Jacqui was so approachable. We chose this accommodation for the rooftop spa. This area is quite spacious, the only downside being to access you had to via stairs outside the apartment. Location wise the Aegean is fantastic, plenty of dining options available from budget wise to more expensive options. The apartment itself was on the smaller side but for 2 people was fine. Whilst it can sleep 4, you’d feel on top of each other, bathroom is small & no real place to hang towels.

Overall I’d still recommend the Aegean. It’s clean, is in a fantastic location.

It was average. The whole apartment needed a good face lift/renovation/update. Lots of little things needed fixing eg, no temperature numbers on oven, shower railing loose, had to fill kettle through spout - lid broken, security screen doors on apartment very dodgy, needed curtains - blinds not dark enough.

A freshly painted building inside and out looked good.
This is our second visit to the Aegean apartments and we loved it even more than last time.
We had an apartment over looking the pool this time which was nice.
Pool is heated kids loved it they went in even though it was winter.
Love the location literally across from the road from the beach and surf club.
Great cafes and restaurants near by and the harbour and sea life centre 2 min walk.
We love it here and will return again next year for longer.

Great location

We had a 2nd storey apartment overlooking the pool. Location was great, nice and quiet and convenient to the beach, cafes and Sealife. Management offered an early check-in which was appreciated. Apartment itself was comfortable, but could do with a couple of minor repairs. East facing windows in the kids room let in a lot of light, which meant very early wakeups. Pool was also not particularly suitable for families with younger kids, due to the depth.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to restaurants and beach. The staff is very friendly. Heated pool is great.

We thought we will get the room with sea view based on the website photos, but it turned out we are on level 2 with pool view. For the price I paid, this is not what I expected.

From the start just not what expected from reservation as selected property to experience first visit to Sunshine Coast. To top it off, worst customer service ever from the owners (gives Sunshine Coast a bad name). Room surround was also noisy both property & outside area. Some items in kitchen need replace (kettle was black & oven racks rusty). Be also nice if got full refund for unused nights as not cheap.

Good location close to restaurants, surf club and beach. Was disapointed at the number of appliances in the apartment that did not work. Dishwasher, extract fan to internal bathroom which is a hygiene issue and a faulty power point beside the bed which could be a fire hazard.
Fire egress light to pool area broken, life safety issue and fire door to basement carpark was jambed open. This door had signage stating that it is to be kept closed. This is because the carpark is supposed to be a seperate fire cell. This is another life safety issue.

Superficial cleaning -you don't want to upset the dust eg blinds, top cupboards, . The spa bath needed a good scrub. Light fittings hadnt been replaced. No dustpan to sweep up with. Blinds were broken. Stayed for 6 nights and got 2 toilet rolls for 3 people - a bit too frugal. the building is tired and would really benefit from a paint, repair the cracks around the windows and a good clean. Beds were comfortable enough.

The only good this about this hotel was the location and the front receptionist was friendly. Our hotel room was filthy and full of mould which is a health hazard..... the upstairs unit it air condition was leaking onto our balcony so couldn’t sit outside to enjoy the view.

The owner should not be in the hotel business

I booked this hotel for my wife and mother in law to stay while looking at properties on the coast. When an enquiry was made at 2100hrs about another blanket for my mother in law as she feels the cold more than most, the reception answered and stated that it was rediculas that she should would have to get up, get changed, go get a blanket and then bring it up. When my wife asked if that was a problem the woman who stated she owns the hotel and is not a receptionist. We stay in hotels regularly and would not expect that to be an outlandish request. When checking out the following day, my wife spoke to another staff member who said that this type of thing happens regularly when dealing with the live in owner. Didnt end up getting an extra blanket. Wife decided to now stay at the up the road at anywhere but here. Really disappointed with this, not expected nor deserved. Wont be back.

It's very convenient. However it needs renovating. You have to pay for extra toilet paper etc if you use your starter pack up despite the number of days staying. The free wifi is not worth it as minimal. For the money you pay it isn't good

Stay was ok, but the fold out couch mattress the springs were worn and stuck into you while laying down. Which made the stay uncomfortable. Also family of 5 in a room with one toilet was annoying as well and with the fold out couch out hardly any room. $310 for one night and check out was 10am. Next time I'll stay at the Catalina. Even though it's further away it was more accomodating for a family of 5.

Stayed at apartment with 2 adults and 3 children. Apartments are in a good location. We had a ground floor unit which was nice. I suggest requesting a higher level room for view. Apartment was clean and although next to pool was quiet. Reception person Wendy was very helpful. There is gated garage parking which was very helpful.

Nice quiet location very close to beach, surf club and shops. The place was pretty empty and very quiet when we stayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a 2 bedroom, a bit on the small side but everything we needed. Only fault was the room could have been cleaner, especially the floor which had clearly not been cleaned for some time.

The first time at The Aegean. It is a smaller complex nestled between the larger resorts - however you were in a 50 metre radius of the shops, restaurants, beach, Under Water World, The Red Shed (best coffee I have ever consumed) and on closed off street a small Sunday market was set up straight in front of us. Walking distance literally to all amenities. The apartment wasn't spotlessly clean but the room itself was a 1 bedroom which was cosy but generous enough for 2 people over the weekend. Bed was also very comfy.

Nice but the wifi is not useable

The location is great, the staff friendly, the pool/spa was nice and the apartment was ok.

The big let down was the wifi, they have pathetic dial up shared between many users. Very difficult to connect too and when eventually got connected was just not useable. It is 2017, please get some decent internet! We would stay again but only if they guarantee the wifi works and is fast.

We love this place. We stay here whenever we go on holidays.(a few times each year). Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic position in Mooloolaba. Your car can stay in the secure car park because you won't need it your whole holiday. Everything is in walking distance, shops, restaurants, beach, underwater world, even with a toddler and a infant. Very well priced. We have never had a bad experience.

Ordered an oceanview room and got to look directly into the bottom few levels of some other lovely buildings.
Got accused of breaking a laundry door that we never touched and charged excess cleaning for marks on a wall that we never touched and several other broken items. We broke a toilet roll holder and got pinned for anything else they could think to add to the invoice that needed fixing

Comfortable 1 bed apartment with all amenities 2 min walk to beach - brilliant location & great pool. Check in was easy no hassles. Short enough walk to Coles to get essentials for breakfast and restaurants around are wonderful especially the Surf Club. One flaw was the noise on the street (Surf Club side) & with wanting breeze at night this proved difficult so I had to close doors and used air con which I don't like to do. Try the back side of the block may be quieter. Staff were ok but not too accommodating on late checkout. Was told $50 to stay til 3pm then told cost would be a full extra night by manager & no apology for mixup. Anyway I love Mooloolaba so will come back.

Everyone complained about bed, no good sleep.

To our satisfaction, we found the Aegean Apartments, provided the necessary facilities that we needed for our short stay-great size swimming pool. Handy and within walking distance, to the beach, Mooloolaba's underwater world sealife, restaurant cafes, shops and more. The Churro shop is a must, very caring, great customer service and generous owner. On leaving, I found it odd, there was a note, please ensure place is left clean upon departure, when we saw cleaning staff as we were leaving. Aside from that we'll be back. Thank you!
