Stayed above the bakery and laundromat. Laundromat had deliveries every morning at 6:00 AM. Room and kitchenette were fine. Cannot complain about the overall stay other than the noise. Not sure I would stay again because of it though.

Excellent spacious, well equipped accommodation in a quiet location. Great onsite facilities - shop, swimming pools, restaurant and an exceptional bakery !! Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location to visit Lisbon by train and Sintra by car... but you do need a car to visit Cascais and local restaurants.

Pretty Awesome.Clean and friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience so much so that we extended our stay an extra night. The pool is wonderful, rooms are large, clean and comfortable and there is a bakery, a small store a restaurant and a laundry on the guarded premise. Very quiet and relaxing experience.
The front desk was incredibly helpful. It's a few kilometers from Cascais, not walking distance however.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a three bed villa. The onsite bakery was brilliant. All very reasonably priced including the ice creams purchased at the pool. Added unexpected bonus of daily housekeeping service. We would return.

The staff were really nice and helpful. The security was great. The facilities were great the children enjoyed the pool it was very family friendly.
The distance to local amenities was great from a self catering perspective if you wanted to go into town. Overall very pleased.

Nice hotel with great on-site amenities

We had a good stay at this hotel. The on-site bakery, aside from being closed on Wednesdays, was fabulous. Although it was a bit chilly to get in the pools, there were two available. My biggest complaint is that there were ants in the room. The front desk said that they show up with exposed suntan lotion, not food. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay (aside from the ants).

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything was beautiful. I would only advise the hotel to consider having potters to assist guests with luggage as well as re-painting the exteriors of the hotel. Other than that, I recommend the hotel to anyone. Really good place to relax...superb!

Nice place, but you need a car

Vila Bicuda is a very nicely maintained and well equipped resort. The suites are spacious and clean, and the kitchen very usable. It's a good value in general. Our rating for service is average because we stayed only one night, spent almost all of our time in Cascais, and didn't use the services available. Our negative for local area is only because it's so far from town, not within convenient walking distance to the center of Cascais. If you don't have your own transportation, you are much better off in town.

We have just returned from a one week stay at Vila Bicuda. The standard of accommodation is excellent, The staff were extremely professional, pleasant and courteous. We have 2 children aged 2 and 5 so we were delighted with the excellent children's swimming pool and small playground. The resort is approx 4km outside the centre of cascais but taxi service was extremely efficient. We never had to wait any longer than 3 to 5 minutes for a taxi. The fare was generally 6 euro. Almost all of the other 4 star hotels in cascais did not have childrens pool, this was a priority for us so paying for a taxi to get what we wanted was a small price. Whilst in Cascais we visited a few of the other hotels as we plan to return to Cascais later in the summer I am glad we did this as I now know that none of the other 4 star hotels compare. There is also a very reasonably priced supermarket on site and beautiful cafeteria which has most delicious pastries.The cafe also serves local beers and wine. We did not eat in the restaurant as we went into cascais centre every evening but I believe it is good. Overall very happy and will definately return.

should not berated a four star establishment!

I would not rate this a four star establishment. Although it is nice for families the homes are dated and smell of cleaning products. We received a pool view home and for the price I was shocked at the condition of our home. The complex itself has a pastry shop and restaurant that are quite nice. There is also a playground on site which my daughter enjoyed. The complex is about four mile from Estoril and there is no place to walk outside of the complex due to it's somewhat remote location.

A great place to stay with kids and family

A wonderful place to spend a family vacation - the hotel premises has two great pools, a grocery store that is fully stocked, a hairdresser, a great very good coffee shop and a great location - you need a car - but you are so close to golf, ocean and beach, pools in complex and the quaint and beautiful town of Cascais. Very very nice. The rooms were well appointed and roomy - good size with large kitchen and good bathrooms. We were very comfortable. A great vacation stay for sporty and adventurous family vacation that is also taking in the local flavors.

Decent, spacious villas - superb for families. The resort has great facilities - two pools, an on-site bakery and mini-supermarket as well as a restaurant. All very nicely maintained with staff on hand to deal with any problems. Very good for families given the pools are so close and all facilities are there. You will need a car to get about and visit the superb Guincho beach.

Fantastic Family getaway

We were pleasantly surprised at how ideal this complex was. The Villa was spacious and well laid out. The swimming pool was perfect for our small child with a large paddling area. There is an on site cafe great for lunch and reasonably priced. There is also a super market and small playground area too. All the staff were helpful. It is a short drive from town for nights out. We stayed for one week and wished we had another week as we didn't want to leave. Would definitely return as we had a fantastic time.

It was very nice and clean. Staff was excellent. They were helpful and friendly. The only drawback was the location. Not easy if you don't have a car. Not close enough to beach to walk and not close enough to downtown Cascais to walk. Location was the only problem. If you have a car this is not an issue. No gym or facilities within the resort to exercise. The gym they quote online was 25 euros a day. Crazy.

Perfect self catering resort - ideal for families

We recently stayed at Villa Bicuda in a three bedroom villa overlooking the pool. It was perfect. The villa was furnished to a very high standard and the maid service every day was unexpected but obviously very welcome. The facilities were great. The large swimming pool was very suitable for the children and the coffee shop was such a wonderful treat. We will definitely go back! Perfect for a family holiday (on the outskirts) of the beautiful town of Cascais.

The villa was so much better than we expected - large, adequately equipped and comfortable. We used the swimming pool which was very clean and only a very short walk from the villa which meant our daughter could go in the pool and we could watch her from our terrace. We used the bakery several times - they sell lovely cakes and bread at a reasonable price. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating every time we called on them for help and advice. We used the restaurant once and would say it's expensive but had an enjoyable meal.

The absolutely 1st class Vila Bicuda in Portugal

With the exception of a very firm bed you could not fault this resort. The staff were amazing and nothing is too big or too small when it comes to the attention given to every guests experience.

My family and I will be returning as soon as we get the chance.

There are a number of independent services on site:

A well stocked mini supermarket with polite staff.
An amazing bakers serving drinks and fresh baked everything.
Hair salon (service not used)
Wine shop and bar (service not used)
Luxor Steak Restaurant (you couldn't fault the service but the food was atrocious. Stay well away from this place)

The pools are very clean and well kept with more than enough beds, tables and umbrellas.

The rooms are extremely clean and kept that way throughout your stay, thanks to the amazing cleaning crew that visit every day.

The friendly reception and security staff ensure your stay is most pleasant and safe.

Vila Bicuda was actually better than I even expected, despite reading great reviews before booking! The *only* complaint that we had was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable - to the point where we slept on top of the comforter to try to get a little bit of extra padding...other than that it was great. The supermarket and bakery were very convenient and both had excellent selections. The surprise gem, though, was In the Glass, the wine bar and shop that was right on the premesis. We ended up eating several lunches and a dinner there very happily - the tapas were delicious and extremely generous portions, the wine was both excellent and incredibly well priced. We would definitely stay there again if we make our way back to the Lisbon area in the future!

Quiet Location - Close to Beach

The whole experience was fabulous, our duplex one bedroom villa was fully equipped with all essentials in the kitchen. The rooms were clean, well laid out and the air conditioning worked really well in the 42c heat. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Perfect for kids with clean pool and nearby beach. Onsite shops, restaurant and cafe are very convenient. You can do some wine tasting and stumble back to the villa. Parking bay was right outside our front door. The only negative - no free WIFI in the rooms. Would visit again for a short 3 day break. Good place to chill out with a good book or music to help you unwind.

This is not a hotel. It's a rental villa complex. If this is what you are looking for then it's ok. There was a strange smell in the studio but once we opened the windows and aired the place it was ok. Pool was cold in mid-June and you need a car with GPS to find the resort. Not close to anything except the golf course.

Vila Bicuda was amazing. What a great stay. It is peaceful and quiet with beautiful landscaping and pool. There is a convenient center 'city' with a restaurant, grocery, bakery,etc.. which made it very easy even without a car. Cascais and Sintra are just a short taxi ride away too if you want to get out and explore. There were other families with kids so we didn't feel conscious about ours playing. I am still waking up in the morning thinking I am still there. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice family resort - pleasant and quiet with good amenities. You do need a car if you want to get around as its about 4km from the town centre. Cascais is beautiful with lovely beaches. Loads of lovely places to eat and good value. Lisbon is a 45 minute train journey away if you want to site see.

Our Duplex was lovely but the beds were uncomfortable because of the protection sheet. There was no restaurant on site so we had to go into Cascais by Taxi and some of the Taxi drivers drove too fast so I always hated having to go in and out. The little bakery was terrific. All Staff were obliging and friendly exspecially the reception Staff. We tried to walk into Cascais but the paths were so uneven. When we asked to stay in our room till 6oclock we were told we had to pay 65€ after 2oclock most places only charge 20€

Quiet relaxing hotel - could be closer to beach and town

Vila Bicuda is a nice, relaxing hotel/complex - as most of the other reviews point out it is family orientated, has very nice pools, people were very nice - very good value for a very nice resort.

2 words of caution - if you book a 'studio' as we did (very big and plenty of room for just two people) - most of these are situated around the central 'court yard' area that is also home to a very busy nursery, supermarket and bakery - so beware of the potential noise. Also, most of these studios back on to the main road into the complex and therefore have little in the way of a balcony (and what they do have it mostly in sun). Fortunately for us, we were able to move to a studio that was on the other side of courtyard with a patio area facing the pool (still next to a noisy childrens play area though!)

2nd word of caution - you will need to hire a car/bikes to explore the area - it is way further to the beach than the website lead us to believe, it is also a good 15 minute back into Cascais (and we are fast walkers!)

That said, would different recommend Vila Bicuda for a relaxing break.

A lovely complex, with well equipped apartments. We stayed in a studio, but staill found it spacious. Great to have somewhere to sit outside too. Just note that the apartments are a little distance from the main resort of Cascais - although there are buses every hour, and they are punctual.

This is a nice clean complex with a spotless pool. The service overall was very good. There is a restaurant on site that we didn't use, but the cafe and shop were handy. Our room was clean and spacious but didn't get any sun so was a bit cool. Location wise, it's about an hours walk to cascais. Taxis were cheap and easy to get. Buses were infrequent.

Schönes Konzept für eine Urlaubsanlage in schöner ruhiger Lage, die T3 Villa war für uns perfekt, 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Voll- und 1 Gästebad, großer Wohn/Essbereich, separate Küche (bisschen nervig der irgendwie nie ausgehende laute Kühlschrank) und schöne Terrasse mit Sitzecke und Liegen, von der aus man direkt zum Pool gelangt. Geparkt wird direkt vo dem Haus und Bäcker/Minimarkt/Restaurant waren nur wenige Schritte entfernt.
Sehr freundliches Personal, das alles picobello in Schuß gehalten hat.
Perfekte Lage für diverse Ausflüge und um sich zu entspannen.
Einziges Manko: Viel zu wenig Steckdosen, sie fehlen besonders am Bett und im Bad.

nous avons pris une chambre pour 2 jours clim salon bruit horrible l'avons signaler a l’accueil qui nous a changer de chambre en nous précisant que le technicien signalait que c'était normal ,nouvelle chambre la télécommande ne fonctionne pas et sur la réservation nous avons demander 1 lit de 2 personne et avons eu 2 lit d'une personne pour ne pas passer le peut de vacances a réclamer avons fait l'autruche (pour infos avons ete plus de 10 fois )

Apartments sind gross und gut eingerichtet. Schöner Swimmingpool in der Mitte der Anlage.
Bäckerei und Minimarkt haben das notwendigste, Lidl in der Nähe.
