Management and breakfast staff is a big problem. Supervisor allows breakfast lady to on the phone the entire breakfast time and the lady hardly restocks. We were staying three nights during Thanksgiving week. On Thanksgiving I knew restaurants would not be open in Laredo so I need to make sure my small children had a good breakfast. The breakfast lady was again on the phone and breakfast was out of different foods 45 minutes before breakfast was supposed to end. I told the lady she should restock considering the National guard was staying there and it was Thanksgiving and she started arguing with we. She shut the door to the kitchen and turned off lights to the breakfast area three minutes before it ended even when she saw two National Guards men were trying to find coffee. She was extremely rude. Worse is Supervisor didn’t said it was fine and she did nothing wrong.

The room itself was spotless, and the service was excellent. However, I was put off by the presence of a dead cockroach near the entrance and two more in the hallways, which remained there throughout my two-day stay. Needless to say, I didn't feel inclined to have breakfast there. Nevertheless, I must admit that my stay was quite comfortable.

When we arrived the dishwasher was working for more than 2 hours, I stopped it. The closer door was down. The air condition really noise. Next morning no hot water. No nody answering the phone and the front desk. There were to many little cockroaches on the kitchen. No nody at the front desk for checkout. The front desk lady was talking with the kitchen people, not helping them.

The Carpet in the room had several plastic tags, as if it hadn’t been vacuumed. When I asked the front desk staff if someone can go and vacuum the room, she said that there was no one on the property, only her. We requested a change in room, and the front desk person was not helpful at all. As we are leaving the room the next day, a cockroach was on the bedroom TV stand! The bathroom floor seemed dirty as well, and it smelled like sewer when we would use the sink. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel!

En el aviso de la reservacion indicaba que el check inn era a las 3:00 pm y la salida a las 12:00 pm
Pero al dia siguiente nos llego un correo de Homewood donde advertia que el horario de entrada era hasta las 4:00 pm y la salida a las 11:00 am.
Con esta situacion perdimos dos horas de estancia pagadas

Arrival and check in great. Hall to room had a foul smell. Room was decently cleaned but there was trim missing in kitchenette and something on the floor under refrigerator door. Went to take shower and the shower head feel off the broken clip . Texted the front desk and said it would be repaired but was not when I returned the next evening. Overall a ok place just needs some maintenance

Our experience at this Hotel is by far the best customer service we have had in a long time. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and treated like a person should be. Everything looked new or really cleaned. Front desk person is super friendly and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff had nothing but smiles and told my family good morning when approached. The pool was very clean. Our stay was perfect and we wanted to stay a few more days. We loved it and had fun. Thank you.

When we checked in we were given a room that had experienced a HUGE water leak and the ceiling had partially fallen on the floor. There were fans dying the room so we were given a doesn't room.

The 2nd room had mold on the ceiling and water stains. The carpet in the living room by the air conditioner was soaked.

Decided to overlook the negative reviews given that they were kind of old, but nope! The negative reviews are 100% true and still stand even months later, and even after the renovations.

The elevator is still down even a year later, and yup, don't expect breakfast.l at this hotel. Given the amount of complaints there have been about no breakfast, I'm stating to think maybe the franchise owner just doesn't give a 💩 or doesn't want to spend money on providing the \"included breakfast\"? Oh, and there was no down comforter in the room. The only redeeming qualities were the nice landscaping by the pool area and the renovated room (third floor) was nice. I would not stay here if you're booking for someone with disabilities/mobility issues, as again, the elevator does not work. At check in, we were only told if we wanted to cancel we could due to a non functioning elevator. And the reviews about there not being front office staff are also true. Barely even saw them there.

First both rooms smelled so bad i had to buy fabrize to make the room smell a bit better and the beds where so horrible we could feel every spring in the mattress the room was so small for it to be a suite i had to move furniture around so my sons wheelchair could fit over all i would not book with them any more.

Staff was great but unfortunately they would be distracted with their phone; had to wait to be acknowledged. Not terribly bad but needs to be addressed for a hotel of this level. Al momentos me hacer el check in nadie me dijo que si quería que hicieran la limpieza de mi cuarto la tenía que solicitar, por tal motivo cuando me enteré al día siguiente a las 11:30 am se negaron a hacerlo porque no lo solicité a pesar de que no me fue mencionado al hacer mi registro en el hotel, la verdad es que es la primera vez que en un hotel tengo que solicitar la limpieza, en todos los lugares que me he hospedado viene por defaul el que te han el cuarto si no pues no llegas a un hotel y no pagas por ello. En la primera habitación que tuvimos no funcionaba el aire acondicionado, no se podía regular la tempera. De las tres máquinas de hielos del hotel solamente funcionaba una. La bañera tenia unas marcas de suciedad que era muy desagradable.

Like the set up with separate living and bedroom with full kitchen. However, we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator to our wing wasn’t working, and we weren’t informed of this when we made reservation. The front desk person said it had been out for a week. We had to lug our bags up the entire way. To make matters worse is that the wings do not connect so if you go up thru the other wing you have to go down and up the stairs again. This is not a pleasant experience esp for someone w bad knees. The ice machines on 2nd and 3rd floors didn’t work. There was a dirty sock in the bedroom and dirty towel on the closet so probably didn’t vacuum. There was a half finished sprite bottle in the fridge, and the tub was worn and cracked so a bath was not an option. They did give a $40 discount on a $249/night charge (this does not include taxes, fees etc…). I had in the past enjoyed my stays at Homewood, but this was not up to par.

The hotel was under construction and we were not advised. The wall paper from the walls was hanging. The ac vents were in the floor, the room numbers were on the floor. There was no toilet paper or towels in the room. The hallways and elevators were extremely hot. It was a disaster. We couldn’t get a refund because we booked through a third party. We feel cheated out of our money. Horrible experience. Didn’t expect this from a hotel chain such as this kne.

Breakfast was limited to bread, some fruit and waffle dough the morning of our stay due to \"staffing issues\". They didn't even made an effort to pull out the plates and utensils from the buffet area cabinets. My wife ended up doing that so our kids could have somewhere to place their waffles. The closet sliding doors on one of our rooms were not working. When I tried to open them they almost felt on my feet. I could reposition them and fixed the problem for the next guest.
