No one likes to write a bad review because you get a sense that it will effect local employment. An immediate renovation should help this property and their staff who have to endure the number of complaints that stem from the units. Here's the facts from my experience. If I would have seen any of the issues I'm about to state there's no way I would have booked at this property. When you see the Hilton Brand and Double Tree with amenities such as indoor pool and conference room and weight room, you assume things will be up to par especially at slightly above market rates. This hotel has an early 2000's feel when compared to others I've stayed within the same brand. When I first walked in I noticed a stench to the unit and requested to be moved to another unit. When I walked in that unit I noticed that that it was just the way their units smelled. So I decided to stay at the assigned unit. The second thing I noticed was a stain on one of the comforters. Since it was a double queen I simply used the other bed. The third I noticed was that the thermostat to the unit was broken so I had no way to control the room temperature. The maintenance guy came and couldn't fix.The TV also didn't work they cited storms. As a recourse they comp a night stay. However to add insult to injury it appears they double bill me. They charged my credit card the one I used to hold the property and the card I provided when they asked to hold a card for incidentals.

The hotel was nice, but the room was really old. They're about to renovate, which is way overdue. The hot tub was chipping, and the bathroom wasn't clean. After I cleaned it, the jacuzzi tub was perfect and easily fit three people. It helped me relax and eased some muscle soreness. The bed was awesome. The room had no exterior window, so no sun came through. I closed all the doors and slept like a baby, right through my alarms. The breakfast bar was okay. The pool and workout room looked clean. Overall, it was a good experience!

Upon arrival, the staff greeted me and my daughter with smiles, and they were eager to help. They gave us rooms right next to each other, but unfortunately, we needed to move due to an air conditioner issue. The gentleman at the front desk immediately sent maintenance to take a look and relocated us down the hall to another room with no hesitation. We took advantage of the lounge area, the food and the conversations with the other guests was absolutely amazing. My future visits to the Augusta area will definitely include Doubletree as a place to lodge.

Filthy room...no amenities, as described.. no pools or spa or dinner service.
I Have cellulitis from infected bug bites( beef bugs)..no water, as the handle came flying off.. filthy bedding, no help with luggage, ( luggage cart fell apart in the elevator, which i was trapped in).. first flush, the toliet over flowed, STAINED EVERYTHING, TV didn't work, prostitutes coming and going, exceptionally LOUD... the entire night.. and FREAKING BED BUGS... over night staff did not seemed concerned at all. The entire 2nd floor hallway smelled of Marijuana.. my room smelled so strongly of BLEACH!!!

This property is very outdated and needs a major upgrade, starting with the rooms!! We had to change our room three times due to cleanliness issues and the air conditioning not working. However, the front desk staff member Desmond was fantastic through the chaos. He deserves a raise immediately!! He was working four different roles by himself and provided the best customer service.

Be advised that there's a $50 per day incidental charge; for my stay of 7 days = $350 in incidental charges which ties up more available funds for longer stays, and I do understand that it reduces risk for the hotel and protecting them against accumulating daily damages or minibar charges.

I also informed the hotel that there was a delay in cleaning the room and so that I noticed blood stains on the blanket and the fitted sheet and nothing was done other the changing of the lien.

Changing the sheets fixes the immediate issue, but it does not compensate for the unacceptable condition of the room I paid for. I requested a partial refund (or a waived night) for this stay but no manager was informed of this matter.

The pool was working the first day or two but then a sign was posted that it was out of order.

I asked the front desk why was there microwave or refrigerator in the room and was informed that those items had to be requested upon checking in; which I didn't notice a sign for that nor was it mentioned upon checking in.

Great location, within a 10 miles radius of locations I had to travel to.

first off the place was very clean, but Place must be in the middle of a remodel. The lobby area looked very nice, very modern. Rooms were far from that. Clean that very dated. They were in the process of cleaning duct works in the air conditioning units. Which is making one hell of a racket when we checked in. But that ended briefly. Our sweet. The bathroom. Faucets. You needed a pipe wrench to move the hot. I called maintenance. Maintenance arrived relatively quickly. But obviously not a plumber. At a Canon WD40 and sprayed the heck out of the faucet which made it move slightly. My wife still couldn't operate it. And now the entire apartment snuck from the WD 40. Thank God we're leaving as the next morning they were going to shut the water off the building between. Eleven and three. Also, we booked this specifically because they had a bar and a restaurant. The BART was fine. Unfortunately the restaurant is getting a new menu so they were limited, very limited. Choices. Anything was written on a hand note. With about five items. Although the items were excellent. They weren't exactly what I was looking for. Also the staff. In the morning. As we were leaving the building. Gentlemen. Talk to a really cute lady. And completely ignored me twice as I walked past him. Speaking about that, what would be not a good morning, nothing. Now and the end of the year that would support a rate hike. This place at one time was beautiful. And maybe again. I don't recommend staying here.

The whole hotel was immaculate, and the one thing, the desk chair, that broke while we were there was replaced within 10mins. All the staff were wonderful, courteous, understanding and very helpful. The variety of food at the breakfast buffet was great. Which explains that there are not fridges or microwaves in room. The pool was good, but could use more towels. No jacuzzi even though advertised. The water was warm enough to not miss the jacuzzi. A well kept outdoor area. We will return again.

It’s listed it has a hot tub, but it does not. It’s filled in with dirt and plants. Outside pool closed for our stay. Carpet was very dirty. The first room had a leak going down the wall and into the carpet. Fridge did not work. No cold water in the room. Put us in another room and it was ok, no fridge. The only ice machine working was on the 5th floor. It states free bkfst, but it is not. You have to pay for it.

Cold water faucet wouldn't turn on, toilet was not secured to floor, hole in wall where someone sealed with paper. Lamps leaning and room very outdated. This was a one-night stay. We arrived and until we departed and then return near bedtime. SMH!

Let me first say the staff was AMAZING! A huge shoutout to Dez for always being pleasant and welcoming every time we came to and from the hotel. The hotel lobby was beautiful, clean, and very well kept.

Unfortunately, our room (specifically Room 234) was very disappointing and should honestly not be reserved until repairs are completed. The wall in the room appeared to be only half painted, and there was dried paint all over the baseboards. The bathroom amenities were rusted, and you could clearly see the rust when surfaces were wiped down. The bathtub also did not drain properly, leaving us standing in water while showering. In one area of the room, it looked like the sheetrock/seam in the wall was peeling back as well.

There was also an iron provided in the room, but no ironing board available. To make matters worse, the room view overlooked a wall and four HVAC units.

We did report all of these concerns to the front desk. The staff was apologetic and initially offered us two breakfast coupons for the Andrew Restaurant, but unfortunately we were unable to make breakfast. At checkout, we were then offered hotel points as compensation.

Again, the customer service was excellent, but the condition of Room 234 did not match the overall appearance and quality presented by the hotel lobby and staff.

The Hilton looks pretty swanky, and we got a pretty reasonable deal on our rooms, but there were zero amenities. No continental breakfast. The water provided in the room had a price tag attached to it. We couldn't watch the Braves on the television.

The staff members were all polite and helpful; we had a snafu on checking in, as one of our rooms was not made up. We were able to get another room close by immediately.

One quirky thing we noticed was that the door going into the bathroom hit the toilet when opened.

Overall, the stay was okay.

Staff was helpful at check in. Staff at the bar were friendly and helpful with suggestions. The food from the bar was okay, chicken wings were delicious! The other appetizers were not good at all. The jacuzzi tub has seen its better days, needless to say we didn't use it. Molding in the bathroom was coming off the wall. The one light in the bedroom didn't work. There were stains on the cushions, carpet was ripped up in places. I could go on, but there is only so much space.

Be aware that even if you pay in full for your reservation if you are going to be later than 3:00 you need to call the hotel or they will cancel your reservation. My room was dirty with garbage everywhere. The only thing nice is the pool. There is no hot tub. Also there is no mini fridge. I had to call down and have them come vacuum atleast.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The photos displayed online did not accurately reflect the current condition of the property or the room, which was disappointing upon arrival. The overall appearance and amenities were not as represented.

However, I would like to acknowledge that the staff was friendly, courteous, and made genuine efforts to accommodate concerns during my stay. Their professionalism and willingness to assist were appreciated.

While the customer service was positive, I hope management considers updating the online photos and addressing the discrepancies to ensure future guests have a more accurate understanding of what to expect.

I have stayed in numerous Doubletree hotels. A star rating is usually a three so this one intrigued me being a four. I thought it would be really nice and luxurious. Turns out it’s an old Sheridan rundown amenities are outdated, the room with poorly lid, the bathroom was not up to Doubletree standards with mold, possibly. I have learned that the name no longer means anything in a hotel except for the Embassy suites. This is the second Doubletree that I’ve stayed in. That had a three star or better rating that was not even close. The first one was in Gilbert, Arizona an old Motel 6 being renovated. If Doubletree wants to keep that name recognition of quality, I hope they will strive for excellence and not just live off of their name.

I searched expedia for a hot tub and indoor pool but after checking in I learned the hot tub had been removed and the indoor pool was too cold to swim in. I cannot recommend this property in its current state. The room was dilapidated, with visible rust in the shower, holes in the walls, and a detached AC cover. Safety was also a concern with the low shower lighting and non-functional elevators. Additionally, guests should watch out for the $15/person breakfast charge, which felt steep given the room quality. The only highlight was the friendly staff's fulfillment of our request for a small microwave.

The breakfast was over priced not fresh the staff was nonexistent and inattentive the dining area had an odor the coffee was terrible. The condition of the bathroom in the room was not acceptable the tub was so old we would not shower.
This building reminds me of a grand actress who no longer looks good due to age. I pity management because this requires a big investment and it does not look to have enough cash flow to afford it.
Hilton property inspectors should consider unflagging this property as it gives a very bad name to the brand

Pool was heated, they gave us free cookies upon arrival. Staff was super nice and helpful. The bed was SUPER comfy. They had a smart tv so I could watch whatever I wanted. Really good experience!

Staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful.
Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
However, there were a couple of issues that need immediate attention by hotel management.
First, the thermostat that controls the heating & air was barely functional and difficult to set. Consequently, the heat and AC came on at random times and often when you didn't need it to.
Also, the toilet often would not flush properly. Needs to be repaired...quickly.
These two discrepancies took away from what could have otherwise been a very pleasant experience.
