The grounds are beautiful and location very convenient for Tikal and some shopping. The staff is very helpful, especially the wait staff. They were most pleasant and friendly. My 8 year old granddaughter played in the pool, played giant checkers and learned to play pool. We were able to get adjoining rooms which enhanced our family vacation.

Clean room, friendly stuff, great facility. Why not 5 star - a bit boring and overpriced for what you get and there are no alternatives in a walking distance, so you have no choice but eating same meals. Bonus: free kayaks and sauna!

The pool is full of contaminating algae encrusted on the tiles. The service in the pool waited for more than 20 minutes and nobody helped me. I had to call the recepcion twice. Also, thanks God i order a fish ceviche and they brought to me a mix ceviche including shrimps, etc wich i’m so allergic. I could died that day.

Super recomendado!! El personal del hotel es muy amable, todos son muy atentos y de verdad se esmeran en que disfrutes tu estancia en el hotel. Tienen diferentes actividades tanto para niños como para adultos, me encantó el paseo en lancha, algo que sin lugar a dudas te puedes perder. La temperatura del agua de la piscina y del jacuzzi es totalmente la adecuada. Las habitaciones bastante limpias y amplias. La comida en el restaurante muy deliciosa. Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia en el hotel, estamos encantados con el lugar y agradecemos bastante todas sus atenciones.

This hotel is top notch! The service goes beyond expectations and the staff was very eager to help. Who ever does stay here, you must know that it is away from any stores or restaurants. The hotel has a small gift shop and the food was excellent.

First off let me say this place is nestled in nature on a beautiful lake. The place designed perfectly to feel nature. If you are looking for a quiet get away, this place will not disappoint. The staff is gracious and you arrive to a nice cool drink and a beautiful entrance. The jacuzzi was not working when we arrived, but the pool area feels like Paradise and the jacuzzi is small above ground, not so great. The rooms have balcony with amazing lake views good AC, beds are comfortable and nice. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and cared for. You need to rent a car to go to the local towns, Flores (40 min) and to get tipical food, not only is it cheaper but delicious. For Tikal you can drive and see it on your own for the day. The only reason to need a guide is if you are going for the sunrise tour (MUST HAVE) Which you can coordinate with the hotel concierge. Other wise 45 min drive and only 150Q= $21usd approx for the regular day pass. Parking at the hotel is abundant and free. The rest of the tours I booked myself and left from Flores. Much cheaper.

I was very happy with this hotel from the first step in the door. It looked like I was heading into the jungle, then they told me that they have a private beach which after checking out is awesome. It would make me want to check in here again when I come back to Tikal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Flores, Guatemala.

Great location on lake with outdoor activities but completely limited with any other offerings except the outrageously priced restaurant. No options for a cheap snack or drink. Lack of wifi accompanied with 3G network led to hours stuck in lobby trying to make and confirm travel plans and payments.

The staff was so helpful in arranging transportation to/from the airport, and in planning a guided trip to Tikal. One couple in our group said it was the loveliest place she had ever stayed. We appreciated the pool, the hot tub, and the on-site restaurant and bar. This is a perfect place to stay if you are short on time, want to visit Tikal (much closer than Flores itself), and want a lovely place on the lake.

An Oasis. The best hotel in town. A little far from the ruins but if you are not going to a sunrise experience, would be better to stay in this hotel.

The hotel itself was fine. It is a bit of an older hotel and you can tell but it was clean and presentable in every way. The issues were;
1. No wifi unless you’re in the lobby. This makes it extremely inconvenient when you are travelling from abroad.
2. The front desk has connections with local tour guides and taxi drivers, to provide packages for tourists. We paid $75 for a taxi from the airport to the hotel (through the front desk). That is a much higher than normal fee for a taxi in that area and we had to take it again to get back to the airport at the end of our trip.
The second time we felt that we were taking advantage of was the tour to the ruins. You would pay for the entry separately and then they charged us (No receipt/invoice/company name of course) $220 for 2 people. Again, this is a tour promoted by the front desk. As a tourist, you don’t have many options since you’re in the middle of nowhere without any way of transportation to shop around. We think that price was also completely disproportionate to the current market. An excursion to the ruins including transportation and a tour guide should be around $25 per person, not $110.
3. The bar staff would not show the drink menu on purpose. The staff would show you only food menu and you’dhave to trust the prices that they gave you verbally. They charged us $13 USD per 355 ml canned beer. That is an insane mark up for any restaurant or hotel. We had never charged us that much in any 5 star hotel/restauran

My wife had a small incident where she slipped and ended up hurting herself and the hotel didn't have any services for first aid support or any first aid kit That would help us address the situation in a timely mannerr. We had to take care of it ourselves and figure out where to get the supplies. Thankfully we travel with a first aid kit.

I have been traveling south and Central America for the past three months and this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Supper clean and quiet. The staff are amazing and friendly. The staff went above and beyond for us in many ways, always greeting us with a smile and the best attitude. The hotel was being remodeled and we couldn't enjoy the jacuzzi and other parts of the property. Also, the food choices are very limited and if you want other options you need to go outside on a cab or something like that. The breakfast buffet was so good though. Other than that, everything was exceptional. We're definitely coming back.

I never asked if I wanted an upgrade, paid for the buffet, but we were only 15 people so they didn’t have buffet. Everything was closed after 4. Front desk didn’t tell us. Only two nice guys were able to kept the sauna going for us an extra 30 minutes. I ordered two beds since two people were going. I had two beds, but made a fuss for the second person, even when the second person doesn’t pay. I am sure it was a great hotel back on the days… not so much these days.

Nice place if you have a car, food is very average not so good you have better cooking outside, Wi-Fi inside your room doesn't exist only on the restaurant areas and front desk swimming pool is okay the staff is very nice.
