Good: breakfast was good and a small packed lunch was provided instead when we did Tikal one morning.
Not so good: The rooms are dated. We felt like we needed chiro adjustments after using the pillows for a few nights. The water smelled like sulphur and the room felt very musty.

They offered an apartment seemingy in the hotel when in reality it is accross the street on a busy, stinky road.
The first apt offered was on the ground floor and looked like a prison cell. I refused and they showed me the first floor, just a bit better. NO windows, just some 'port holes' in the door. A couch that was totally worn through and that for $160Cad a night. No lake view just noise and exhaust fumes. Breakfast and staff were good.
Definately don't book the 'apartment' unless you enjoy choking on fumes and car traffic. What a rip off!

A lovely and clean place at a great price.
This was a terrific place to stay. The price was great, our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location was great, with everything in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would give 5 stars based on all this, except that the place is a bit noisy. For one thing, our room was in a building across the street from the main hotel, and there was a busy road right outside our door. Lots of car and people traffic going by, into the evening. Also, we could hear the guests in a neighboring room as clearly as if they were in the room with us. Fortunately I had a white noise app which I used every night, and that helped. Also, the noise died down as the night progressed. Other than this, we had a fabulous stay.

Great place with a very lovely pool and hot tub. Breakfast was lovely and the hospitality was wonderful. Good location to visit the Isla de Flores. There was AC in the room, too. Was probably one of the nicer hotels I stayed at in Guatemala in this price range.

Okay for a single night but overpriced
The pool and the bar are very nice, but the rooms are small and dark. The bed sheets had a bad smell and the bathroom had a very small window that did not provide any kind of ventilation. Overall, with the high price we paid I would have expected a nicer experience. I would not spend more than one night here.

This hotel has a bar and some dining areas on the water, a pool and hot tub, good breakfast included but does suffer from a lot of road noise bc the road along the water is flooded. Water was hot, power has back up but that didn't kick on when the power went out one time. Came back quickly.

I arrived at 2:15. The front desk said check in was at 3. Fine. I went to the dining room and ordered a box lunch and paid for it. I waited for 20 minutes. No box lunch. No wait staff in sight. I hunted down a waiter. He went into the back and came out with the box lunch, obviously already prepared. Bad first impressions. The room was clean and the a/c worked which is a plus. I think I got the worst room in the hotel which seems to be a pattern when I book with Expedia. I’m thinking of going directly to the hotel for booking in the future.

A/C was working well! We were in what they call an apartment across the street. It was spacious with a kitchenette, large bathroom and bedroom without windows. It’s very colonial looking from the outside. Very noisy during the day, but quiet at night. You can use the pool in the hotel across the street. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was fine. Great little place on the island of Flores.

An older property, but quite charming, and right on the lake. The rooms were quite adequate, and the staff super helpful. There is a loud bar right next door, so make sure you have tight earplugs! There's no elevator. The breakfast was superb.

I have been staying at the Casona de la Isla for several years now and have usually stayed in the main hotel. In the main hotel the rooms are small but sufficient and the prices are reasonable. This time they put me in the apartments across the street which are spacious and brighter. I recommend them as an option.
One of my favorite things about the hotel is the bar restaurant area overlooking the lake where we usually eat breakfast. There is a great view in the morning and some spectacular sunsets over the lake in the afternoon. The staff are friendly and accomodating. I recommend the hotel. They were very nice. The property is clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice view of Santa Barbara island. I like the smell of their soap too. The wifi works, and the breakfast was delicious. They let me drop off bags since I arrived before check in & let me leave bags on day of check out until I went to the airport, so I was much freer to walk around.

Hotel Casona de la Isla has become my \"go-to\" location when I am staying in Flores. I am usually there on business. The price is reasonable, the facilities and rooms are clean and the free breakfast on their patio/bar area overlooking the lake is a great way to start your day. It is hard to work in the rooms but working outside on the patio or other areas meets my needs. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others, and I do.

The rooms are EXTREMELY tiny. The flush in our daughter’s room did not work, and there was no dead bolt or safety chain on her door (it had been clearly ripped out of the door frame and not replaced).

Gave me different room than I booked with no explanation. Out of the extra money that I paid for the better room. Bar music can get a bit noisy until late at night, so this is not for early sleepers. Free breakfast was sufficient, and great location.

This hotel has a great location, right next to the water with a great view. Room was descent but the hot water was gone after the first person took a shower. It came back after a while. Breakfast was good and we had it on table with a great view of the water. There was a street parking spot right next to the hotel and they asked us to park there. Not sure if they have their own parking.
If you use google map to get there be careful as most street close by are one way but google map doesn’t consider that.

We enjoyed our stay here. The air conditioner in the room was so nice as it was so hot outside. The breakfast was also really yummy! They were very helpful at the desk in recommendations for lunch and dinner. And it is a little loud at night time but it normally all stops around 10. I would definitely stay here again!
