This is an old hotel that may had seen better days. The room looked poor. The hotel itself is worn down and you can't even pay for transport to the airport with a card (debit/credit), they only accept cash.

Clean comfortable, nicely appointed room. Amazing shower fill with tropical plants. Good food, view of the lake and Flores from the restaurant area (try the PideTurk with shrimp and curry). Adjacent to helicopter pad for trip to El Mirador.

Cute Room

The hotel was beautiful and somewhat cozy. It rained during our stay and our room flooded a bit. The rooms have a muggy scent. The beds aren’t super comfy, but they worked for the days we were there. We stayed in the 3 bed rooms.

DID NOT LIKE, to many critters in the room (spiders, small geckos)

requested to check in 30 minutes earlier do to a long distance trip, I was told to pay extra for the 30 minutes, while other hotels allowed me to check in two ours early.
food price was very expensive.

Beautiful place, short walk over bridge to Flores island (close to walk but far enough away that the booming activities of Flores were not right next to us, so it was like having our own oasis just to the side of all the zany Flores activities. Spent hours on peaceful patio. Food was terrific. Staff accommodated a late check out when flight was delayed.

Comfortable, nice atmosphere

The hotel is nice. The staff were pleasant, the room was clean. Has a balcony which is always a bonus. A drawback is the bathroom that faces the outside walkway to the rooms people passing by can hear what is happening in there. If you want to get a taxi to Flores Isla walk to the mall and get into a tuk tuk it is much cheaper than booking a taxi from the hotel.

Quaint hotel, really close to the airport

This quaint small hotel very near the airport was fun. The room was clean and comfortable. Good clean bathroom. Great hot shower with soap and shampoo. Good breakfast, nice litlle resaurant on site

Great place even in a bad situation!

Hurricane Earl trashed everything, power, water, wifi and cable. Not Hotels fault, staff did a great job at making things as best as could be under the conditions. Most everything was operating after a couple days. Nice, friendly hospitable staff,good food friendly relaxed environment, thank you for making a bad situation a good stay at your hotel!

Amazing

This was our home base for our trip to the Mayan Pyramids, it was about 4 blocks away from the docks where you can hire a boat to show you around the lake. Amazing location and scenery, the condition of the hotel can use some improvement but it was still an enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive and the locals were friendly, an unforgettable trip nonetheless.

2 day stay in Flores with trip to Tikal

We came up to Flores on our way to Belize. Met a wonderful family at Semuc Champay they suggested to stay at this hotel and it was fabulous. The front desk service was amazing and very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious and had a killer view of the lake. We took a day trip to Tikal and it was amazing. We def recommend to stay here.

The hotel is located on the shore of the lake. Its very scenic and peaceful. However, the hotel needs a lot of updating in their rooms. The bathrooms are very old, paint peeling off and no shampoo, soap or other basic toiletries. The dining room overlooks the lake which is good but not enough lounge chairs or cushions to relax and enjoy a drink on the pier. The food in the resuarant is very typical and on the higher end. They charge a lot for a bottle of water.Service is slow in the restuarant.

Pleasant place but needs mosquito nets!

A nice hotel with beautiful views of the water and Flores Island, but we were eaten alive overnight with no mosquito nets on the beds. Seems an obvious detail for a tropical location, but they haven't bothered, so bring your own if you can.

Decent hotel as long as you keep out of your room

From the moment we arrived at the airport we regretted choosing this hotel. We had asked for the complimentary shuttle to pick us up and it was nowhere to be seen. After calling the hotel they finally sent one of the chefs to pick us up.

While the grounds of the hotel are quite nice, the hotel itself suffers from a lack of maintenance and neglect. On the exterior part there are signs of construction projects that were never completed. Anything that resembles luxury is somehow broken or paired with a cheap accessories that make it look horrible.

The second day of our stay not only did the water stop working, but the air conditioning and the light in the bathroom. Any time we asked the staff about fixing these things they told us to wait 20 minutes. We arranged for the complimentary shuttle to take us back to the airport, but when morning came it was nowhere to be seen. We had to get the nightwatchman to call us a taxi that we ended up having to pay for out of pocket.

The hotel is located right next to the lake, and the grounds have all kinds of beautiful plants. You can easily spend an afternoon relaxing by the lake with a drink. The pool is exactly as pictured though it is quite tiny, it is only big enough for one or two people at a time.

While the outside it is nice during the day, at night there are so many mosquitos that you can't really stay there without getting bitten.

The restaurant had great food and service which made the experience bearable.

Not worth the money.

First of all, the hotel itself and location is beautiful. The grounds and reception area is breathtaking and the wait staff was nice. HOWEVER, all other service was very poor, you can't reach AC without standing on chair, no remotes. No hot water (after requesting twice). No help to room (or directions) with luggage. The reception staff never smiled once, as she threw our keys on the counter.The pool is very small, not for swimming or lounging.I would not recommend this hotel for staying in. Maybe just visit the grounds for the view and lunch, then stay elsewhere.

Hotel was very comfortable, extremely beautiful view from restaurant! Service was excellent and food was great! I booked a room for 2 persons and it ended up being three of us going. When we arrived at check-in and asked about the extra person charge, there was none!!! Accommodation included breakfast for two and we all had breakfast at no extra cost to the third person! We were all extremely happy! I would definitely recommend this hotel! It's about an hour from Tikal and also there is a canopy tour about 40mins away,, on your way to Tikal, definitely worth checking out! We paid $30US pp and in Costa Rica it was $65USpp! Definitely worth doing in Guatemala! We all had a great time!

Relaxing, clean, nice setting

We arrived at the hotel in the evening. The check-in process was smooth and easy. There were English speaking desk clerks available to assist us with our check-in. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The rooms are situated on a lake with a jungle like setting. The pool was small but clean. They have a very nice deck attached to the restaurant and pool area that you can get drinks on in the evening. It was a very nice setting. The food was very good, the service excellent. I would stay here again.

Bel hôtel avec très bon service

Très bon choix d'hôtel pour visiter Flores, Tikal et autres sites mayas. La chambre est grande et le service de l'hôtel très bon. Seul point négatif, il n'y a pas de wifi dans les chambres, seulement dans le lobby et restaurant.

El hotel esta bien ubicado pero el servicio no fue bueno. No habia atencion despues de las 10pm. Nos faltaron toallas y no habia agua embotellada en las habitaciones. No habia tampoco control remoto para el A/C por lo que tuve que ir a prestar a otra habitacion. Me parecio caro para lo obtenido.

Beautiful & quiet, but expensive & awkward service

A beautiful hotel with a lovely view over Flores. Nice little swimming pool in which you could also sunbathe, swing, great construction of restaurant, bridge and rooms. Helpful staff at the reception desk, booking trips for us.

Only a small walk to the centre of Flores, but nothing happening in the close neighbourhoud of the hotel. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. This was well taken care of and tasty. Service was a bit awkward, usually took a while to get our orders. They didn't seem accustomed to serving.

Overall we felt the hotel was a bit too expensive. The room was beautiful and clean, but nothing additional. The hotel itself is beautiful, but due to standard service of personel and no really added values apart from the view and setting, we felt it was worth 80% of its price.
